Not worth the money, and definitely not a 4-star hotel standard. We stayed here for 4 nights and within that time we had multiple unpleasant experiences. First of all, the hotel staff never greats at all when entering the lobby - that should be a standard in any 4-star hotel and it usually is, just not in that one apparently. The first room we’ve had was ice cold and the heating didn’t work at all, luckily we got another room without any hassle - unfortunately the new room had a clogged drain due to it not being cleaned properly, so we had all the dirt and shaved hair from the person before us in our shower, disgusting!!! 🤢 On top of that our pillows were dirty and didn’t smell fresh, so I assume it was the pillows from the person before us. Our phone in the room didn’t work either, so anytime we needed something we had to go down to the lobby. We didn’t eat the breakfast, because 25 € for what they offered just seemed overpriced. We don’t mind spending money, but we mind being ripped off and not getting our moneys worth. Would not recommend staying here if you’re expecting a 4-star experience.

Go-to hotel for any conference at the Koelnmesse. It's conveniently close, a regular hangout for conference attendees, and has a lot of tables in the lobby and patio. The rooms are comfortable, clean and functional. The breakfast buffet has plenty of options, healthy and less-so-healthy.

The hotel stay was very good, but the reason I’m cutting 2 stars is that they still haven’t refunded me the money I am owed for 1 breakfast. Nobody seems to pick up calls or reply to emails. Update: After getting the reply below, I still have not received the complete refund. How is this okay ? I have only received the refund for 1 out of 2 breakfasts. I’m going to make it 1 star now. It’s a small amount of 19 euro but it’s not correct to do this. And my time is getting wasted.

My wife and I booked the standard room for a weekend mid December during Christmas time. We had a great stay. The room did meet our expectations although we struggled a little to get a nice and comfortable temperature within the room without opening the window. During the nights the room became stuffy. We additionally booked and consumed breakfast for 1 day for €25 each. Great variety of options.

My first stay on a Radisson property in many years, and not terribly impressed. Rooms are clean and property overall is very nice. Not much around in the immediate vicinity, but perfect if you need quiet. That being said, we requested late checkout on my last night and it was granted. Put the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door, as I had worked late and wanted to sleep in. Housekeeping decided to LET HERSELF IN ANYWAY. This is completely unacceptable and is, in my opinion, a security issue in a big way. This do not disturb sign exists to indicate not wanting someone to enter the room, end of story. Check with the front desk first to see if late checkout was granted!! There should be no excuse for letting themselves in otherwise. The manager assured me this was a one-time error but there really is no way to be sure. Fairly upsetting way to be woken up and a really unfortunate experience with this property.

Great location , great hotel and services! The hotel is easily accessible from train station as well as tram station is nearby. It’s big property with a great view and spacious room which matches the vibes of city. Reflecting cologne in room decor as well. Helpful staff a must stay!

It's a chain hotel next to a massive German trade fair area. It is what it is. Nice rooms. Nothing much to criticize. You won't stay here if you're visiting the actual city, only if you are at a trade fair.

Hotel is not new but the interior design meet the standards, breakfast was good and many choices. Water pressure of the shower is kind low and noise cancellation of the wall is the weakness they need to improve on. I was awakened by the noise from the hallway during my stay and it was very late and loud noise from others who passing and laughing by our door.

Very disappointing restaurant for a 4* hotel, only 5 dishes available: cheeseburger €25, steak €34 and 3 types of FROZEN pizza's, for which you pay €19! At the self checkout, the terminal wanted to make us pay again (we paid everything beforehand)!!! I asked the receptionist, who confirmed me it was all paid.

Great service hotel of you need to be in the area (messe, boothaus, lanxess arena...). Rooms are spacious, lobby and bar is too. And do check out their wellness. Two saunas and a really cozy relaxation space. What a hidden gem. Just one attention point: limited restaurant or shopping options in the area.

I don't know how it is in the hotel, because I haven't even been, and I paid. but I know that I corresponded with Mr. Tobias. this is a rating for Tobias and not for the hotel. I won't even come because of this man. Namely, the Sting concert was postponed, so I wanted to move the arrival date and pay extra. or to return part of the money so that I can pay again. but with Mr. Tobias, one cannot agree on anything. he gives very short and arrogant answers, and such people should not work in restaurants and hotels. I couldn't agree on anything with him. the concert has been moved to April, and the four of us will come to Cologne, but we will not sleep in this hotel because of Mr. Tobias. thank you

Not recommended at all!! The hotel's services are at the level of a one star hotel in a third world country. The air conditioner in the room barely worked and we hardly slept at night. They don't change sheets even though they got dirty and the reception representatives are not nice. The only thing that was nice is the size of the room just not worth the money

Sergei made me my own special cocktail at the bar and was very accommodating. Ali Chabbi was so polite and helpful as well. Rooms were clean and design is pretty cool. Only complaint is no coffee makers in the room. They only have a kettle with tea.

We had a couples issues with the room - not the best value when taking in consideration the price we paid. However Emmanuelle who took care of us at the reception was absolutely great and did everything is in power to find an adequate solution.

I have never been a fan of this standard tier 4 star hotels, but totally changed my mind after my stay at this hotel. The service was consistently friendly and helpful, regardless who you dealt with - the staff at breakfast, at check in, the staff cleaning the rooms or the man running errands and cleaning the elevator on his way to another floor who recognised me the 2nd time he saw me and greated me like an old friend. The people who answered the internal phone queries were very helpful, arranging bandaids to be cut to size, apparently by the tailor, to help me with blisters on my feet. They were delivered by Jeeves, who I fell in love with at first sight. He is the robot that brings such things, as well as drinks, to your room. What a wonderful surprise!! The breakfast buffet was fantastic and the room service meals were healthy, fresh and of a high standard. I appreciated the bath salts and large range of toiletries provided as well as the very comfortable reclining lounge chair by the window looking out over the garden. I loved everything about our stay and will now select this hotel chain over others when I travel.

It's a hundred times worse than radisson blu in india. And it's in Germany! I got the impression that Radisson blu Chain is either going broke or is becoming a cheap chain of hotels. 1 staff working at the reception, no people to greet you or help you with luggage... It's like some airbnb where you have to check in yourself. Even in suites, the balconies are so poorly maintained...almost all the plants are dead, and the residue is just laying there... feels like a ghetto. Bed sheets have holes in it, towels and some furniture is stained, toilet dirty, bathroom mirror also was not cleaned... and that's for almost 300 dollars room a night? Garage is also not free, 20 dollars a night. Yep, radisson is loosing it's name and standards.

Have only visited the hotel lobby on a few occasions during the Gamescom trade show that happens each year in August. From that experience, I’ve always found the hotel to be a nice environment with helpful/pleasant staff offering good drinks and snacks.

I came to cologne one time prior to this trip and kind it ok. If I’m honest I didn’t think many locals were welcoming. That all changed when I came here and met Ali + Ainis. Literally everything we asked about the town, about the bar, about the locals not only did they help with but they went above and beyond. The dude ordered me food!?!?! Because he said I had to try a local place. All in all next gamescom I’m not staying anywhere else but Radisson Blu because the service is absolutely incredible, friendly and personable.

The best hotel in this area. Located close to the fair, it has best views and easy access to fair. The breakfast is super good, rooms are simply awesome. Love their freebies such as fresh local fruits, candies, coffee all day long. If you are coming to cologne fair, this is ur place. Close to everything you need - supermarket, trains, tramps, etc

If you are going to Cologne Messe for exhibition, this is the hotel. The Cons are no porter (have to carry the bags yourself), the gym is nice but would be better if there are some yoga mats. Lightings can be improved. However breakfast is awesome. Front desk assistance is great!

I enjoyed my stay at Radisson Blu in Köln- Aryan was kind enough to make the checkin seamless and stress free, showed me the sauna and fitness rooms which I loved the most about this hotel!!!! It has an air of privacy and a beautiful foyer. Will definitely be back soon.

I’m trying to find the words to be positive about my experience staying at this hotel for two nights. Complete disarray in management- can’t tell if they are under staffed or if the ones employed are incompetent. My shoes get stolen in the changing room in the gym/sauna area. Management didn’t quite have a functional response on this and said they can’t really check the CCTV for this (god bless Felix for atleast trying to walk around with me). Breakfast spot is overcrowded. Rooms are not bad but with dysfunctional nespressos machines and faulty fixtures. Al at the bar was nice tho. Watch out when you book- the location is far from Cologne city. no direct train from the central station. The closest grocery store is far without a car so come prepared.

Probably due to the corona crisis, the hotel seemed understaffed. We waited close to 30 minutes to be attended to at check in and checkout. We eventually opted for express checkout after waiting 20 mins by just dropping off the room keys. Other than that it's quite comfortable and relatively well maintained. It's also a bit far from the city centre. About 2km. It's walkable but it's something to note.

I have visited the hotel in July 2020 (3 nights). The hotel is luxurious and has great potential. It was completely understandable that the facilities were not all available due to the COVID-19 measures (restaurant / room service). I had taken this into account beforehand. Nevertheless, you would say that during this period the staff can provide extra quality to the guests by means of personal attention. Unfortunately, the opposite is true. Staff who were present at that time made no effort at all to help, answer questions and possibly provide additional explanations. We have stayed 3 nights, with no roomcleaning at all by the staff. Even after we indicated this and they made a note of it at the reception. Air conditioning (climate control) had to be controlled via a panel in the room. It was broken, making it very hot. Also reported this and they would send the technical service that day. They did not even ask for my room number and at first sort of indicated that I was crazy that I did not even know how to use the simple control panel. It didn't even turn on, let alone be operated (with only 2 simple buttons indeed). It was not really believed it was broken. So in the end no one came by either. We came back in the evening in a dirty and warm room (not cleaned and no air conditioning made). Finally got another room for 1 night at 22.15 (because I had not been able to sleep well in that heat for 2 nights). I was referred to the office manager who would be working the next day because the lady on the spot was unable to make any other arrangements. At 10.30 pm we therefore had to move all luggage and belongings from one room to another. The next day with check-out I indicated that I wanted to file an official complaint with the office manager. She ‘listened’ to me together with her colleague, but said: another room has been given, problem solved! Nothing solved! I didn't want another room, but wanted to be heard and taken seriously. So do what is necessary and what you indicate (cleaning and fix the climate control). They did not take me seriously and have certainly not filed this as an official complaint. In short, I therefore felt frustrated during the stay and did not feel taken seriously at all as a guest. I can't believe such practices are going on in a hotel like the Radisson, because I really didn't expect this in advance. I myself am not at all difficult with overnight stays, and have therefore never filed or had to file a complaint. Mistakes can always be made, but not hearing them, not keeping promises and ultimately doing nothing with comments / questions frustrates me completely. So I will really not recommend anyone to spend the night here.

My wife and I spent five nights at this hotel last week. Overall, it was a great hotel and we definitely enjoyed our stay. Although this hotel is located on the opposite side from where "the action" is at, you can catch tram number 3 or 4 to quickly get across to the other side for a few euro. If the public transit system seems intimidating, Uber is available in the area (10-15 Euro). As for the hotel and the services, it was a bit of a hit and miss here. In particular the morning buffet (absolutely fantastic) and then the menu at night for order while you are at their bar (below standard). Starting with breakfast, an amazing spread that certainly meet all tastes. Omelette station, multiple coffee machines, and tons of seating. Great service here for sure. Always something in all choice areas (no empty plates or servers - just ask). Every day started off great. Now as for the bar area, we ordered a pizza and a meat, olive, and pretzel platter. Both were way below what should be expected here. The pizza was literally the worst I've tasted in a long time (frozen pizza reheated?!?). As for the meat and pretzel platter, the hotel is in Germany and could have been amazing. Instead, a couple of different pepperoni sticks and a pretzel that was seemingly heated with a microwave and then became solid as a rock as it cooled. For a very busy night, they were understaffed for sure. Hats off to our waitress who tried her best to keep on top of everything. Thanks for making the best out of the situation. Although the bar area was definitely a let down, the rest of the hotel was great. Our room was amazing. It was definitely a highlight of this hotel, and certainly the most important piece to any stay. A lot of amenities that made our time in Cologne very enjoyable. The hotel is very spacious and clean. There are areas for conferences and are certainly busy with this part of their business. I always try to stay at the Radisson chain of hotels, and certainly enjoyed our time in Cologne. Thanks.

Nice hotel and modern rooms, however, the air condition in my room could not be turned off. The breakfast buffet was amazing!!! Unfortunately, the staff was super unfriendly. I checked in online, which did not work (for all of us, so i did not do a mistake). Therefore, had to fill in everything twice... the employee did not even tell us wifi or infos regarding breakfast. The person was super annoyed...

First time Radisson Blu, not impressed Room for improvement: -Most staff basic attitude is cold -Several staff don’t understand German or English -Airco in the room did not work properly. Airco does not have the capacity to cool a hot bedroom (outside daytime temperature 25°C) to a comfortable sleeping temperature -Extra services and bar in the hotel are overpriced -Cleaning staff entered the room, while we were not past the ‘check-out’ deadline Pleasant: -Clean room and facilities -Good breakfast -Nice sport facility (tv does not work there) -Good temperature Swedish Sauna

Checkin was fine, the ac in the lobby seemed to be either off or very weak. The breakfast was just okay - standard hotel food. But when comparing to the dorint, I’m not sure why you would choose to eat here. The room is clean but full of issues: - There’s a random puddle of water in the bathroom - AC barely works, I’ve had it running for over 12 hours and it has dropped the room temperature only by 1c. - The bed feel extremely stiff and not very comfortable. It like laying on a card box box that has some foam inside it. I’m not sure if this hotel has just gone massively downhill since 2019 or what, but it is nowhere worth the price. I’d be happier in a hostel with a window ac unit, at least I’d be more comfortable

We picked this hotel to be close to the lanxess arena (10+ mins walk away) and we were happy with our choice! Hotel looks modern, room is a good size and clean with a big comfy bed. Good selection of foods at breakfast buffet. One notable incident was that our room service never came (we ordered via the customer service platform but didn’t receive a response or the food - we weren’t charged for it though).

I can't believe I'm one of those guests who is going to say this in a review, but this is now the worst hotel I've ever stayed at in my life. This probably sounds like hyperbole, but if you're looking for a hotel to stay - stay literally anywhere else4. The upstairs "garden" has not been maintained in years, and looks like the rooftop of an abandoned building. A previous guests empty water bottles were strewn inside my cupboard. There was no hairdryer. The air-conditioning stopped working at night. Staff told me that laundry had to be dropped to front desk. Room Service calls went unanswered. It was also horrifically expensive. It was so bad, our company has documented our rooms and will be disputing the bill and doing a chargeback. We will never stay there again while attending gamescom. It was always pretty average, but I don't know what has happened, but the experience is worse that what I saw when I stayed at the Radisson in third world countries, such as the Radisson in Kathmandu when the power would occasionally go out. The only explanation we can think of, when it was discussed amongst our staff, was that the hotel is shutting down and this last conference was an attempt to cash in quickly. Perhaps a reasonable idea, but the brand damage has got to be horrendous.

Hotel and staff were lovely. Special thanks to Emanuelle, who was very gentle and gave us all information we need from the moment we arrived to the end of our stay. All premises also were very clean, organized and we felt safety and confidence to attend Gamescom, which was just crossing the street.

This hotel is about a 5 minute walk from Lanxess Arena. The price for a last minute room was decent, considering how nice the hotel is. Our room was very clean and had a nice big window, comfortable sheets and pillows, a mini-fridge, and air conditioning. The staff were friendly and spioe English well. The bathroom was well stocked with toiletries and plenty of towels. A major plus, the hotel was extremely quiet. I didn't hear any of my neighbors the entire time I was there. I was able to try the breakfast, which is buffet style, and it was all very good! There was a wide variety of foods, including fresh bread, fruit, yogurt, eggs, oatmeal, pancakes, etc. There was also a large selection of juices, water, coffee, and tea. The breakfast was the best part of the whole stay! There is an underground parking area that is gated with a metal shutter which is nice. However, the price to park for one night was 20€, so keep that in mind if you plan to visit. I will definitely be staying here again if I'm in the area!

The staff is forthcoming and helpful. Hotel is petfriendly. Breakfast offers a wide array of choice with the greatest omelet cook of all times. Beds are comfortable, rooms are clean but for the love of God, please teach the housekeeping staff what the "Don't Disturb" sign represents. It seems, they either don't know its meaning or they simply ignore it when they march into the room. At first we laughed about them walking in on us during an intimate situation, but a few times later it has become a real bother and we can no longer find amusement in it. Now it's just annoying enough to actually leave a review about.

👍👍 An incredible place with a great collection of cars to buy and admire. It is completely free to enter something that absolutely blew my mind considering it houses the Michael Schumacher Private collection museum.
