Service is at a very good level . Most service personnel is really carrying about guest there wellbeing. There is one person definitely standing out that is Mrs M Braun. She is very friendly and genuine interested in the guest during the breakfast buffet. A true example for anybody,

The people working here are nice and friendly. This and the nice salad from kitchen stopped me from 2 stars. But you can see how understaffed they are! For dinner it took almost an hour for a salad which was really nice. Then I was tired and wanted to sleep but both bedsheets were dirty! Really disgusting! I took a shower and I am now wondering about the towels! 🤢 Definitely no tip for the cleaning people. The mattresses are too bouncy either old or very very soft. I think this hotel is overpriced, understaffed probably with no management. The room is big though. I still rather have clean sheets than a big room! I will not stay here unless I absolutely have to.

Good service (shuttle to the airport) and nice personnel. However, the bathroom was not cleaned, we found hairs in the bathtub and soap stains on the sink. The room had a door leading to nowhere in it, which is weird, but okay. For about 112€ for this room, a dirty room is not acceptable. After complaining, they did not offer us any compensation.

I’m giving 2 stars because of the food in the restaurant… I wouldn’t recommend eating here. The food was overpriced for what it was and we had to pay for things that were not communicated to us such as the condiments and water. Perhaps we should’ve known they would add to the price, but we were asked like this, “You can’t have chips without ketchup, I’ll get you some!?” The food was also way too salty - almost inedible. I had to wipe salt of the fries. Just awful! Service was good though, and the rooms were decent.

Just the right hotel to stay near the airport. Good restaurant, comfortable and clean bedrooms with shuttle service. I would just suggest removing the sign which indicates "Hotel Leonardo shuttle service" at the airport, I was waiting there for the shuttle but the shuttle did not stop there. I was informed that it is an old sign, and they can't stop there anymore. The correct place to take the shuttle is somewhere else which does not have any information on Hotel shuttle service or pick-up. It was confusing but I was able to make it to the hotel after calling them.

I liked everything in general. Close to airport, friendly staff. The room is quiet. I did not like that it was cold in the room and there was no bathrobe. But this did not spoil the impression of the hotel. And I think that I will come back to you.

I loved your hotel, and enjoyed my staying there. I don't speak any german at all, and I was lucky to meet a great employee of yours to help me in some issues, Anastasios Maleas! Thanks for everything Anastasios! Leonardo hotel is very lucky to have you!!!

Great hotel. Staff is super nice. I accidentally dropped my phone on a cab and the woman at reception was nice enough to take me back to the airport to get it back. I didn't catch the employee's name but this was night-time on January 22.

The hotel at first glance looks really nice and fancy. It’s quite close to the Koln Airport and so it’s very convenient for those who are looking for accommodation close to the airport. You can also access the metro through the Koln/Bonn Flughafen metro station. They also provide free shuttle service to and from the airport and metro station which is convenient. My family and I stayed here for three nights and two days. We were greeted warmly and the check in process was quite smooth. Since we had checked in at night and didn’t get time to buy any dinner we opted to eat from the hotel restaurant Vivaldi. The restaurant is quite affordable and had good pizzas. I have to appreciate Mr. Anastasios Maleas who is absolutely wonderful and such a delight in this boring hotel. Mr. Oliksander is also a very nice man and a good member of this hotel. Now let me start with what was wrong during my stay here. The housekeeping staff are the worst. The absolute worst. The following day after my check in, my family and I were getting ready to go out to explore the city when one of the housekeeper knocked. We told her we’d be out in five minutes and so she could come back to clean the room, to which she replied yes. After our whole day of touring we come back to our room as we had left it. The sheets not made, the trash not changed, the towels not replaced. We thought maybe she misunderstood us by thinking we didn’t want our room cleaned. The next day however I made sure to hang the “Please service my room” card on my door handle, my father also spoke to one of the housekeepers he saw on the way, to clean the room. Again, we came back to the room, now that hasn’t been cleaned in two days, the sheets and towels haven’t been replaced, trash can not changed, no replacement of cups or coffee and creamer. It’s really surprising how blatantly ignorant these staff members are. Twice we spoke to the housekeeper, even hung up the card and still no service. At this point we were fed up to even bring this to the reception’s notice. I really wanted to say something but I didn’t. We left the place next day early in the morning. I definitely will not be staying here again nor will I be recommending anyone to stay here. It’s not like the place is cheap. You’re paying good money and still not getting basic hospitality.

Not only friendly hotel, but also really nice restaurant and professional service of Anastasios Maleas 😊 Only one minus - next time I would prefer the room not next to an elevator.

Conveniently located near the CGN (Köln/Bonn) airport, the hotel provides for a pleasant overnight stay before an early morning departure on a long trip. The rooms are spacious, and so are the bathrooms. A coffeemaker is in the room. There is a restaurant and a Beer Garden that also serves food, beer, and wine. The reception personnel is very friendly and helpful and the shuttle bus for the short ride to the airport runs every 15 minutes after 05:00h.

A nice 4 stars hotel. I stayed here for 1 night during my 12 days trip around Europe. Breakfast also have the best taste compared to the other hotel where I stayed. Room is spacious, hot water working well, and have bathtub also. Overall, a nice experience to stay there.

Great hotel right next to the airport. Wanted to add 5 star for the service, i woke up late today and was very late for my flight. The receptionist drove me to the airport as soon as i got down and helped me make my flight which i am very grateful for. Thank you!

Beware, this claims to be an airport hotel but is 1.1kms from the terminal. No instructions on how to get from the airport (we arrived by train) to the hotel, so had to spend 16 Euros on a farcical taxi journey! Staff seemed amused by our experience, rather than concerned. When we asked for extra coffee capsules for the room, they graciously waived the usual charge. Unglaublich!! The beer garden on a lovely sunny evening was closed!!! On the plus side our room was comfy and our restaurant meal delicious, so not a complete disaster.

Very convenient hotel, standard rooms, very quiet, nothing too fancy. The location is great if you need to catch an early flight.

Leonardo hotels are always excellent, located walking distance from the airport terminal - with large rooms, great bed/mattress, comfortable bathroom, strong internet, and very good service (including bar and food, both breakfast and dinner).

Ideal location next to airport.,hotel/rooms/bed comfortable. Breakfast and food for dinner honest deutche high standard cuisine. Cool theme aviation bar. And especially what makes every hospitality businesses different, it’s their staff. From reception, kellner/-inen., housekeeping..,etc. All always with smile, acknowledgeable, helpfull. But one who stands above all, prototype of barmanship MR.Kai. always goes “extra mile”, local guy from Köln, superattentive and always welcoming., approacheble and in search for “solution”. Thanks Leonardo for having such a people in your organisation. Can’t wait to be back and enjoy Biergarten.

Ten minute walk from airport. Signposted. A little dated. I had the room next to the lift. Very noisey. Plus I lost all electricity in my room for a while. Bath had the shower at a weird angle. Difficult to stand under. But the room was clean. Use this only if you have to.

An easy 10 minute walk to Terminal 1. A shuttle service for those with bags.Very spacious room with bath. Not noisy at all, unlike many airport hotels. Staff very friendly and professional and a pleasure to eat in the patio restaurant surrounded by greenery.

Good Leonardo quality as usual. Only thing worth complaining about are the entrance doors. If you approach the entrance doors too fast they open right into your face because the doors open to the outside. That should be easy to fix by adjusting the level of sensitivity for the sensor. If sensitivity is increased, the sensor will spot an approaching person earlier and therefore will open the doors earlier.

The perfect way to stay at an airport hotel, the room rate includes 7 days parking at the hotel and shuttle service to and from the hotel. Unbeatable at a fair price. I will definitely come back here again.

Nice hotel, nice service and rooms. There are a lot of covid rules however (probably government ordered, I hope) so that's why no 5 stars.

Nicely presented hotel, clean rooms and attentive staff. Only a 5 minute walk to the airport main terminal. The restaurant had a good selection of local specialities and a decent selection of beers. Recommend for a reasonably priced, comfortable airport stay.

I stayed overnight before an early flight in the morning. Check in went very smoothly. The room had a view of the airport and I could see the planes. I did hear some planes during the night but they didn't really disturb my sleep. I has a meal in the restaurant, which was fine, although they don't offer a vegan option so I went for the vegetarian dish. I ordered a wake-up call for 4am and a shuttle to the airport at 4.40. Check out went smoothly although it was so early. There was even coffee and mini croissants in the lobby while I waited for the shuttle.

Very nice, large rooms and very clean. Excellent value for money. Ideal if you need to stay near the airport and catch an early flight. There is even a free shuttle service to take you to the airport or pick you up if you call them.

the structure as seen from the outside! it stopped in the 60s ". paid parking even if it belongs to the structure. bedrooms still smelled of the 60s "beds are not that big! queen size… no no !!! big but dirty bathrooms !!! cobwebs everywhere, 60s heating on the window. they don't even heat up. non-functioning minibars. in some rooms there is not even a minibar. broken furniture. for the quality / price it cannot be said that it is convenient !!!! at 06:00 in the morning you hear the airplanes warming up their engines. Before 15:00 they don't let you check-in, we arrived at 13:40 and the front desk guy told us to go for a walk and come back because the rooms are not ready !!! check-out is at 12:00. I said everything . after having done the check-in (18:00 in the evening) we go up to the room. in the corridor we still see breakfast trays on the floor !!!! in front of the doors of the rooms! boxes of pizzas placed right in the cabinet as soon as you get out of the elevator !!! and then we are told to go for a ride because the rooms are not ready !!!! I and my family travel often but maj we found ourselves so bad in a structure that I paid 201 € for one night. 5 people 2 adults 1 7-year-old girl, a 5-year-old boy, a baby girl !!!! I had to take a connecting room and pay as if it were 2 rooms. payment option in the facility, but they take you from your credit card. sorry i don't recommend.

This was my 12nd stay at this place. Honestly the best near to the airport. Shuttle at every time, nice and smiley staff. The most valuable handling is coffee next to reception at morning time. Cleaners are really good and got high volume of patience.

Been to the Leonardo several times now and have always been very welcomed. Rooms are always clean and are cleaned every which is very good for long stays. The best part is the restaurant, the waiter Anastasios Maleas is always happy to see you and really makes dining a much better experience with his excellent service and friendly conversation.

Arrived tired and hungry after travelling and working non-stop since the day before. Reception was efficient and friendly and the room great! Clean, spacious and comfortable with ample tea and coffee on offer. I went down to the restaurant. The staff are GREAT. However, although I am on a work trip - I could not bring myself to order as I felt awkward ordering such a pricey meal, so I went for the pizza at 12€ This pizza filled the hole in my stomach, but as a routine supermarket pizza buyer (usually on offer at around 3€), I immediately recognised the pizza that arrived. It was dry and lacked taste and left me feeling slightly resentful - but I ate it and washed it down with a red wine, as I was too hungry and tired to complain and wait for something else. A really good place to stay: convenient, good location and transport links... but maybe fill up before you arrive. Or maybe order from one of the cheaper tastier delivery options. In the morning, I had to be at work for 07h00. Because I arrived exhausted, I mis heard the receptionist say that breakfast was at 06h30. All I heard was 06h00. I needed to catch a taxi at 06h30, so I went down to breakfast at 06h10. I had booked b&b rates, so breakfast was included. Everything was set up but the lights were dimmed, so I helped myself to some fruit and a coffee (all I really need for breakfast). At 06h15, man in charge of breakfast came and moaned at me. He was really grumpy and unkind. He told me I was too early and that I should go and sit in the bar area so no one would see me (er, there was no one else there!). He was totally inflexible and rude. I explained my mistake to the receptionist and said I needed to cancel my breakfast booking as I would not be allowed to eat it the following morning (as I had to be at work by 07h00 again). The receptionist kindly packaged me up some more fruit, water, yoghurt and a small mars bar to take with me. After spending 07h00 - 17h00 at work, 99% of the time on my feet, I arrived back to find my room unserviced. Clearly the hotel has its rules and sticks to the rules that are convenient (like breakfast time), but is happy to break the rules like servicing a room. And the curtains had two hinges off the rails which I put back on... And the curtains did not totally cover the window, allowing in a beam of light in the middle of the night. Additionally, they describe the rooms as "sound proof", which they are not... As I was party to a couple's conversation in the corridor while I tried to sleep. I did not actually care that the room was unserviced, it makes little difference to ime - but on principle, after being made to SO unwelcome at breakfast, I thought it ironic that the hotel didn't actually fulfil their side of the contract. The reception staff are great, and when I mentioned it to them, said that if I need anything, I must just let them know. Because I needed something green and fresh and honest food, I found a healthy Imbiss near where I was working, so I didn't need supper. So in the evening I went down to the bar just to have a glass of wine. The barman was lovely. He immediately guessed I needed a big glass of wine and even brought me some nuts to have with my drink. Thank you.

Nice large rooms, but worn out and with plenty of issues. Very poor breakfast and very limited choices for dining. Location is nowhere, but close to Koln Airport train station than can get you anywhere

  • 1/5 Spalvotas A. 1 year ago on Google
Let’s start with the fact that the check-in is supposed to be available from 15:00. We arrived 17:00 with a baby and they told us that our room is not cleaned yet and they can’t do nothing about it. We waited more than an hour just to come into a room without a baby bed, which we asked for while booking the room. We contacted the reception and they said the baby bed will be there shortly. After more than an hour we get no baby bed and no information. Again, we contact the reception and they say there is no baby bed but they will figure something out. After more than 3 hours one of the workers went to Köln to get us a baby bed out of somewhere. It was way past out babies sleeping time. While waiting for the baby bed we took the initiative to push the two adult beds to create some sleeping zone for our child but the dirt under the beds was disgusting. The only good thing about this hotel is the distance to airport is not big.

Convenient hotel close to the airport (shuttle ride 8 minutes). I got stuck in Köln and this place was my rescue. Very good value for money, breakfast was great.

It was a very short stay as we simply booked to stay the night as we had an early morning flight. Location is very convenient if primary use is the airport. Shuttle service to the airport is very convenient as well.

All the hotel personnel is polite and kind. Willing to accommodate your needs. As far as the Vivaldi restaurant is concerned the food although OK is very salty. Ingredients are of good quality though. All the waiters are very friendly and especially Tasos.

  • 3/5 Jurgen B. 1 year ago on Google
The room was okay, the staff was friendly but the breakfast was really bad. For what you get it's expensive. The milk was room temperature, the egg was cold, cold and hard sausages, chicken and bread and no bacon. Parking was expensive which was to be expected close to the airport but when you are a hotelguests they could have done a cheaper price or free parking.

Nice single room, had a desk and chair as well as coffee and tea facilities. There was also a fridge and a safe hidden in a cupboard. Cooked breakfast was an option as well as the usual buffet you get in Germany. The menu for dinner doesn’t have much outside a few staple dishes, and pizza, but the food was good. The heating did seem to have a mind of its own, and turning it down in winter made it get even hotter. The shower screen also wasn’t effective at keeping water off the floor.
