First hotel experience. Took a room here for 1 night during the Gamescom. Really nice room. The bed is really confy and over all the room is really pretty! Loving the azure color. The room is really quiet. The staff is also very pleasant. Would definitely come back.

The room is clean, quiet, and I love the music played on the TV so much that it makes me feel relaxed and comfortable to sleep. Unfortunately, there is no refrigerator and drinking water in the room.

Great location! Nice room. Good breakfast. The bar is very well stocked. And the best part about it is the bartender Marlon Oldoni. This gent knows his drinks!! Very skilled at his job and a great conversationist! Must spend an after work evening indulging at the bar :)

My friends and I very much enjoyed staying one night in this hotel. It’s got some nice decorations and design. Rooms are modern and up to date. Comfortable bedding. A bit disappointed in the breakfast buffet (15,90€ per person) selection and seating area… wouldn’t recommend it. Lounge area for evening drink is nice!

I am really impressed with this hotel, breakfast was great. Will definitely be looking for these hotels in the future

Poor rooms hidden behind modern design. Overpriced for what you get. Not even a glass in the room to drink from! No tea and coffee facilities, no minibar fridge (for own drinks). Booked as a single and got a double bed but single width duvet. Also no drawers or wardrobe, just a couple of tiny shelves, tiny bathroom. Would be a nightmare to stay here with 2 people. You know it's not good when you research the cancellation policy after the first night of your 3 night stay This is clearly an overpriced, expensive super-budget chain. I regret not staying at the NH again which is a cheap real hotel at the same price :( Update: service - didn't clear up an empty glass bottle (the free water provided at check in) or the used paper cup (provide by the hotel). Left the window open and Aircon on (so much for wanting to look after the environment) I won't be back.

Overall was a good experience. We had a wedding in cologne and my relatives and I stayed here. There were around 20 of us in total and we all had a good stay. The rooms were very nice and clean also spacious. The service at the bar was amazing, as it was very busy our drinks took a little longer than usual but we were treated extremely well and informed speedily, the service from Justin was 10/10. He was very friendly and professional. Regarding the staff at the check in desk - they were a little more rude and unhelpful but we managed alright. Location was perfect!

Only missing thing is that there can be more food options and some misc like toothpaste, earsticks etc. You should expect that for 165e/per person per night... Everything else (higiyene, politness of staff, etc) is great..

They don’t provide basic amenities like water , toothbrushes, an iron or moisturizer (only shower gel), so please pack your own. Not possible to call room service.

A very nice hotel with an even nicer service. Excellent for business trips, or short family stays. Rooms are on the smaller/cozier side, but modern and we'll equipped. Beds are comfy with rather soft mattresses. Bathrooms are decent, have a fresh look, even though minimalistic the ambiente is quite nice. The food is ok, can get boring if you stay more than 2-3 days as breakfasts is the same everyday. No warm meals besides hard-boiled eggs. The bar has a modern look with top focus on Gin. Wine lovers have very few choices ie. Just two red wines if I'm not mistsken. Beer and liquor selection an is decent, but again gin is the dominant offering with a few dozen gin based cocktails on the menu. I'd definitely come back as the front desk service and reception are very helpful and the rooms are quiet, fresh and modern. One negative - no phones in rooms, so I wasn't able to call someone in their room when their phone died. Not sure about wake up service either, but overall a strong 4.9/5.

Amazing: interior design; service; attitude; food; drink; room; cleaning equipment; bar; menus; … everything:) I think…Oh! I especially enjoyed the shower head (I mean.. the space ship setting). If you are confused, come to Motel One Cologne and find out what I mean ;)

A very nice, well maintained and clean hotel. The rooms are a bit small, but the beds are very comfortable. The bar has a nice atmosphere. The breakfast is good but a bit basic in terms of options. I stayed during a period of an Exhibition in Cologne and the price rates were beefed up, compared to other periods when it's typically well priced. The distance from the city center was easily walkable.

Great hotel, good location, nearby the centre of the city, small comment, breakfast is good, but a shortage of tables to sit on.

Unfortunately I made a reservation for one week. One day (Monday) there wasn´t water, other day (Thursday) not electricity (they told me that it will be just during one hour but it was a lie) and I got up in the morning with hard noises from works in the hotel. The solution that the Manager gave me was to change to another hotel. I asked for some kind of compensation but they told me "no" because all that was necessary for the hotel. And the comfort of the guest, who had paid, is not "necessary"? They didn´t show any empathy with the client, they don´t care about your comfort, it is what they proved to me. In anothe hotel they wouldn´t treat you like that.

Had a nice stay, they let me check-in earlier. Comfy bed, but the amenities were basic and the room was quite small. The breakfast is quite expensive (15.90 EUR?) It was a weird experience that my room get knocked to remind that the check-out is at 12pm, I was about to leave anyway!

Was here for a two day business trip. Price - quality was good. Simple room (which was all I needed) with a nice bed and a clean shower. The personell was friendly. Close to the train station. They have a nice bar and also the breakfast was very good. Also I find the proximity to the train station a big plus.

Our first-ever Motel One stay. We had quite a nice time—clean and modern rooms that have what you need, nothing schmancy. I think we’d book more Motel One stays for our short getaways in the future. The lobby and bar areas are also nice. Lots of natural light and pretty interiors. I think it’s perfect for a short stay when you don’t have a lot of luggage, I get how it can get stuffy if you have huge bags. Minor issue was that there was a slight funky smell in the bathroom. Funky enough to be noticeable but not bad enough to make a complaint.

Stayed in a single room. It was fairly close to the centre, only 15 min walk from the central station but you are essentially only 5 min walk to the city centre once you are at the hotel. You can get to most places within walking distance. The room was very clean and nice. Staff at the reception were very friendly and helpful. I was allowed to check in earlier. The bed was comfortable and you don’t hear any noise from the outside at all. I paid for the breakfast one time and it quite decent. Not necessary a lot of option but it was good. For the price you pay, it’s definitely value for money. I would be happy to come back and stay again.

The rooms where clean and as well through through as always in a Motel One. The very friendly Service Personal offered me a quite room (Do you like to sleep with an open windows? yes, ok then i will put you in a rather quite room) The food was decent as always. (nothing "warm" for breakfast, but that is always in a Motel One. The parking space is very wide and many places available only for the Hotel guests. Prices are fair. Downsides: The room was rather small and the desk was to small and low for getting work done in the room.

Beautiful hotel. Adequate, very nice rooms. Average sized rooms in Europe but well decorated marvelous lighting. Worst aspect: ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE PARKING SITUATION. Checked in and went to park the car and spent 30 minutes waiting to get into the parking garage because it was FULL.

The hotel has a chic and modern entrance area with the breakfast area to the right and a bar and lounge area to the left. We had to wait near 15min to check in due to the line in front of us, but the service was friendly and helpful. We had two rooms on the second floor. The rooms are nice with a nice bathroom as well. But there is no wifi in the entire hotel except in the bar/lounge area near the entrance which is not conducive to work.

Good place, not too far away from centre, but far enough that it is quiet. Breakfast was better than what I expected. However hotel was very crowded due to holidays.

A very clean and convenient hotel. I liked their ambiance room with a light music in the room when you enter.

A modern hotel with great service and a fantastic breakfast spread. The only thing not perfect was the thin and not totally soundproof walls and doors to the rooms.

Beautiful decorated lounge area. Chic and modern rooms, a bit tiny though and with no body lotion in the bathroom( don’t provide in reception either). The staff at the bar are very nice especially one of the bartenders, I don’t remember his name… he was really helpful, thank you!

A typical Motel One. Efficient service, super friendly staff, small but good rooms. The bathroom can be improved: the sink stinks from the drain. The view into the courtyard reveals a dystopian concrete fantasy.

The staff was incredibly friendly and nice, rooms clean and beautiful, internet great and welcome water was a nice touch. The only bad thing is the heating, it takes too much and it is too loud to get to the temperature when it is cold outside.

First of all, the staff couldn't find our reservation, which was already paid for. Then we entered a room for one person, although it was paid for a room for 2 people. From 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., the cleaner came 4 times without knocking on the door. Why doesn't the staff know which rooms are available? Why does he wake me up at 7 am by opening the door when I'm asleep?

👍👍 An incredible place with a great collection of cars to buy and admire. It is completely free to enter something that absolutely blew my mind considering it houses the Michael Schumacher Private collection museum.
