AVOID THIS HOTEL IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP! What they don't tell you is that this hotel has its own function venue, taking up much of the ground, 1st and 2nd floors. The two nights we there, they hosted insanely loud parties until 2am - so loud our bed on the 4th floor was literally vibrating! There was little by way of apology the next morning except that "they have a very busy December for parties"... The rooms themselves are okay (nothing special), and the location is great - but next time we are in Cologne we will try a hotel that we can actually sleep in!

Great location. However, that’s the only good thing I can say about this hotel. We booked to stay Thursday - Sunday. On Friday and Saturday evening, there was music so loud from their venue below, that we could feel it when we slept, and it was impossible to ignore. When we went downstairs to ask when the music would stop, the receptionist said midnight, but it was playing well past 1am. The hotel staff did not offer to relocate us in a different room, apologise, or offer any compensation. The hotel staff said they would tell the function to switch off the music / at midnight, but did not do so. We would have appreciated being warned upon booking (or arrival) that there were going to be events on in the evening. I would not recommend staying here if you want a good nights sleep and good service.

Perfect room. Comfy bed. However... our privacy was disrupted during our first day when other guests got into our room using the same key. I suppose this happens because all the rooms on the same floor have the same key, since the key also opens the middle hallway door that goes to the rooms. Also, Saturday night was very noisy due to the pub downstairs.

Good Hotel, good services, suitable prices

It won't heart you to buy an AC for rooms we are in 21th century. I got a single room. It's a tiny room not like on photos no AC and it's July +36 very hot.

Rooms are spacious and comfortable. We had a room at the backside of the hotel. Just outside of the rooms, there is a ventilation unit, which is running non stop and makes some noise. When we checked out on Sunday. We wanted to leave our bags in the hotel, and pick them up in the evening before we go back home. The staff told us we had to be back before 2 pm. after that time the entrance would be locked and all staff would be gone.

No air conditioning but they do have an oscillating fan in the room. The room was small but very clean, modern, and quiet. Service was good, and the location is excellent.

Very nice hotel. Comfy rooms and beds, with good bathroom. Breakfast was delicious and staff v friendly!

Horrible. If you want to sleep (I think it's a normal thing to do in an hotel) don't go this hotel. Right now are 2:00 in the night and I have a discopub in my room. I stay in the third floor and the music is an anormal thing here.

I live behind this hotel . I have never stayed there but been to the restaurant(brewrie). What a lovely place it is .it is like a old german restaurant with lively crowd, flowing kölsch and typical german food. I would recommend to people who wants to experience typical german pub/restaurant culture. I Think you need to take reservation before but if yiu go without it , you will get entry in some 20/30 mins.

Nice family hotel in the perfect location with in walking distance of almost everything in the center. And a plus you have amazing place to try domestic cuisine in the ground floor..as well as the club/bar. Only small problem with that club is that the musicnis a bit too loud for the hotel area.maybe they should consider that in future aldo rooms are very well sound proof but again as me who likes to keep the window open it isnt the best option at the end. I am sure they could find some solution that all could benefit!

Nach einem Wochenend-Kurztrip können wir nur sagen: es war toll ! Nicht nur Köln. Auch das Hotel hat überzeugt. Zentrale Lage: man kommt in alle Richtungen mit U/Bahn und ist zu Fuß in der City. Sehr nettes Personal; haben super geschlafen und Frühstück völlig ok. Das ganze ständig mit einem „Schuss Brauhaus-Atmosphäre“. Vielen Dank. Wir waren begeistert

Direkt am Heumarkt gelegen. Leider keine Parkplätze. Zimmer schön, aber für den Preis etwas zu klein. Frühstück ist in Ordnung. Was mich wirklich stört ist die Klar Glastür im WC. Warum nicht wenigstens Milchglas? Ich muss meiner Fraub eim Toilettengang nicht zu schauen. (Scheint aber momentan "Hipp" zu sein. Gibt's auch in anderen Hotels. ) Alles in allem Schulnote "Gut".

Das Hotel ist für einen Kurztrip nach Köln absolut zu empfehlen. Gepflegte und saubere Zimmer (hatten sowohl DZ wie auch EZ - klein aber fein) Die Lage ist ein Traum - Visavis zum Heumarkt und somit die Altstadt und etliche Bars und Restaurants fussläufig erreichbar. Servicepersonal in allen Bereichen sehr nett und höflich. Sowohl das dazugehörige Brauhaus wie auch die Hotelbar machen das Hotel perfekt. Frühstück war in Ordnung - nichts besonderes, aber alles da was man morgens für einen guten Start in den Tag benötigt. Wenn wir wieder nach Köln kommen, wissen wir wo wir buchen! ;)

An sich freundliches Personal, gute Lage und wirklich saubere, moderne Zimmer. Ausreichend für einen geschäftlichen Trip und eben eine Nacht. Negativ dann doch leider: das Zimmer lag Richtung „Dunstabzug“ des ansässigen Restaurant und roch dadurch bei offenem Fenster wirklich extrem nach „Fritteuse“ und Essen. Lüften war undenkbar, es roch danach quasi schlimmer als bei geschlossenen Fenster. Das Frühstück war leider auch bestenfalls Kategorie „bemüht“, denn das pappige Aufbackcroissant war wohl das schlechteste, das ich je zum Frühstück in einem Hotel hatte…klar, 3 Sterne, aber da vielleicht doch eher auf frische Backwaren gehen, wenn die Auswahl ohnehin überschaubar ist… Parkplätze angeblich am Hotel vorhanden (Website), aber die gibt es überhaupt nicht. Stattdessen wurde ich auf das öffentliche Maritim Parkhaus gegenüber verwiesen zu 27€ pro Nacht.

Ein sehr stimmiges Hotel, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Direkter Zugang zum Brauhaus, gutes Essen toller Service. Der Preis ist angemessen und die Zimmer sind modern und sauber. Die zentrale Lage ist perfekt für Besucher der Altstadt oder des Musical Domes. Leider ist die Parksituation nicht so gut allerdings auch für zu lösen. Es gibt in der Nähe Parkhäuser sind in der Nähe

Ein Top Hotel für 3 Sterne. Ich sollte normalerweise nicht so gut bewerten da die meisten bei guten Bewertungen teurer werden. Das Personal an der Rezeption war immer sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Im Lokal neben an (Gasthaus zur Malzmühle) gibt es kulinarische Freuden und ein wunderbares Team das immer lockere freundliche Sprüche auf Lager hat.

Schöne und moderne Zimmer, leider ohne Klimaanlage. Alles super sauber und das Personal ist sehr nett und freundlich. Die Lage des Hotels ist ideal um die Innenstadt zu erkunden. Parkplätze gibt es reichlich im Parkhaus gegenüber und die KVB hat ihre Haltestelle in 3min. Fußweg.

Das Hotel ist sehr zu empfehlen. Wir hatten uns von der ersten Minute an wohl gefühlt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön gestaltet. Man hat alles was man brauchen kann 😃. Die zum Hotel dazugehörige Bar und das Brauhaus passen perfekt zum Konzept. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

V small room, v hot , no AC, v expensive for what felt 2 Star Max. Positive is location, v close to old town

Nice Hotel, located near the Rein river, place with many well known beer garden, pubs, and various ethnic restaurants. 15 minutes walk from the main station and the famous Dom. The staff is kind and welcoming. A good base to visit Koln. You can also access to a famous beer brewery with the hotel lifter.

Only not 5* as no aircon in heatwave, but a good fan provided and windows do not have the annoying locks we see in the UK lately so I was happy enough. Staff on reception, breakfast and bar next door really helpful and friendly. Would happily stay again.

Great room! Friendly helpful staff. Fabulous views and close to Christmas markets and cathedral. Perfect location for site seeing and exploring on foot. Will definitely book again.

Noisy rooms, the Disco is open till 2 AM and you can hear it inside the rooms. Also there is some machinery in the outside that hums through all night It is accessible to wheel chairs, but challenging: narrow entrance and sharp turns means lot of maneuvering for our scootmobile. Other than that the rooms are comfortable, breakfast ok

Located in great area, there's a great pub downstairs where you can get a free Bier, good German food and nice welcoming from the bartender. Only 2 tram-stops away from Koelnmesse. Room is spacious, well-refurbished and well-organized. Perfect for both business trip and sightseeing. Definitely will come back to this place.

An absolute must if you want to experience the Kölsche culture, locals, food. Bier is the best and made in-house. Food is typical Cologne culture and amazing. We would have loved to be able to try the entire menu. Service is excellent and food is fast. Our hotel room was upstairs. Lovely room and very convenient. If I could return I would choose to stay here again.
