I have not stayed in the hotel but talked with the guy in the reception to use the WC for my pregnant wife. But he didn't show any empathy and said no without even caring.

Very cozy and nice place right in the center of Cologne. Room was clean and I really loved the small, family feel of the hotel. Wifi worked great and the reception person was kind and helpful. Cologne Cathedral is just a short walk away and the train station as well. Very happy with my stay.

The location is fantastic, behind the railway and the cathedral. You can easily reach the center and the Kolnmesse area (the trade fair grounds). The staff is very kind, the breakfast good! If I were to return to Cologne I would gladly stay at the Ludwig again.

Awesome hotel, staff, and experience! The hotel is a 2 minute walk to the train station and 5 minutes to the main downtown shopping area. Rooms are modern, clean, and have AC in the room 🙂. Breakfast was awesome and the staff were so kind, generous, and overall great! Definitely recommend to my friends and others. Thank you, hotel Ludwig, for the comfortable and pleasant stay! Very near at the center. The rooms were very clean when we got it, they were prepared so cute, there’s an elevator, the staff at the reception was super friendly when we checked in. The breakfast is also so good. 👍👍

Really friendly and accommodating service, clean rooms with comfy beds and everything you need. Stayed here after my fight was canceled and I was forced to spend the night in Cologne. Check-in was quick and seamless and I was given a lunch bag (packed with lots of treats - vegetarian at request!) at checkout as I had to leave before breakfast. Conveniently located in a quiet side street and a 2 minute walk from Hauptbahnhof this place ticks all the boxes at an affordable price tag. Would gladly stay here again!

Very clean rooms and attentive staff. Convenient location near the main train station and a short walk to the Dom and other highlights. Would certainly stay here again. The balcony rooms are nice when the weather permits!

What a gem of a hotel! The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. The location was perfect for the main station, less than 5 minutes walk. The hotel was spotless and very comfortable. We particularly appreciated the air conditioning! After a long day on the train, cold beer on our balcony was wonderful. The breakfast was beautifully presented with lots of choice of fresh food. We loved the table settings and it is clear that great pride is taken in making this hotel really lovely.

No thrills, frills or nonsense excellent small hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great choice for breakfast. Very clean rooms. 5 minute walk from the station on a relatively quit square. Only downside was the lack of an airco while it was extremely hot and humid.

Good infrastructure and breakfast but VERY disappointed as we were told the parking was FREE and when my wife checked out, the guy charged 20 euros and was rude to her. Not even a "I'm sorry about it" which is the minimum of what a decent hotel would do. We later returned at night to complain and ask for a refund, we were even offered a champagne in return (which is the same as money) and didn't accept because we were going to fly in the next few hours. We would never stay there again, next time you should charge parking at check-in to avoid this big misunderstanding!

Comfortable hotel in a great location close to the station, cathedral, city centre and river. Super helpful and friendly staff. Decent continental breakfast.

Very basic room. Clean. Comfy bed. Nice breakfast, about what you would expect. Staff very helpful including loaning us a phone charger. Great location.

Four stars. Nothing negative, there's always room for improvement. That being said, warm friendly welcome at check in, all staff was very friendly, clean room, excellent matras I might add I slept great, very nice breakfast with enough choice. I can recommend this hotel and I'll certainly be back.
