Absolutely stunning building, beautiful inside and outside, designer furniture and so on. There’s nothing else though. The staff leaves at 18:00, you come in with your own key, which was a nice experience, but you expect to have at least some service for that kind of money. Breakfast is outsourced and very very basic, so you need to decide in advance what are you going to eat. If you want to add an egg to your croissant in the morning, you won’t be allowed to do that, and you’ll be informed about that in a very stern tone. If you have any trouble with your booking you’ll have to deal with it yourself. Staff isn’t very eager to help, they just give you the key and charge money. You don’t feel welcomed at all. So basically it is a very beautiful place, where they allow you to sleep, i couldn’t call it a *hotel*. The price for that kind of service is a bit ridiculous.

Because.. The stuff is not really friendly. The beds are not comfortable at leat for me. The TV does not work (no signal) you cannot ask for help because the stuff is gone at 8 pm. The building is nice and the environment. But in comparison to all the other 5 star hotels I have been its a joke. I am sorry it's aa really nice building, but the money is not worth it.

As others have mentioned staff leaves early and comes in late. Rooms have minimalist feel. TV didn't work as it should. Not impressed with art decor. Very edgy.

Just stunningly beautiful! Loved the whole atmosphere. The breakfast was great and we had a hard time getting out of bed cause it was just too comfortable. It really is a little hideaway in the middle of cologne.

Not sure this hotel met my value for money expectations. I booked for a special occasion for a long weekend. Everything is pretty basic. For a 4* hotel, there were not enough basics - like bathroom amenities. The room was small like a 2* bed & breakfast and was listed as XL in my booking. Definitely not was was advertised in the booking photo's. Also it always leaves a stale feeling when one check-in guest gets treated "way better" than the next: the couple checking in after us where overwhelmingly greeted - with "oh we have one of the best rooms for you".

Beautifully refurbished building in Central Cologne. Lovely public areas but rooms basic, quirky. Very odd service - reception and breakfast not open until 0800? Continental breakfast only. Bar a complete miss. Get the impression this more an event space than a hotel.

A cozy and quite hotel located closely to the historic center of Cologne 10min away front the Cathedral. The breakfast for the price of 12Euros was OK I was lucky to have a room with an A/C, otherwise most of the rooms are without one, I stayed in August can’t say it was necessary, but it was a nice thing to have. Would definitely stay here once again

Gorgeous hotel in a peaceful location opposite the St Gereon Church. Car parking not possible at the location so you have to use the nearby public car park which is 5 mins walk away. Euro 20 per night. No air con in the rooms which was a bit of a challenge in the warm Koln summer but we were out all the time anyway.

So the problem with the room that we got was: - absolutely no place to put your clothes, not even a coat hanger or anything - no door for the bathroom, I mean you could in theory use the toilet door to kinda close the bathroom but this would still leave a big gap on top of the door, illuminating the whole room and of course having no noise blocking. - the "design" sink or bed lamps are NOT useful or good to use. They look nice in a picture, but using it is not convenient. - the tv is in 576i resolution. - the welcome booth is empty most of the time, hard to get someone to serve you, I've had to wait, I've seen other people wait several times, too. - no kettle in the rooms, no tea offered, no special attention or things that make you say "oh that's why I'm paying premium". Other than that, the building itself is great and the library full of artsy books, but for the price you'd expect much, much better. I mean, a door for the bathroom doesn't sound like I'm asking too much, right?

Poor front manager (Julia Löwen) need to cancel the booking due to cancellation on concert in area and gave a lot notice that want to cancel the booking that they could on sold the room, more then 1 Month and they said no!!!! I understand booked on a no refund rate but you had the option to resell over the month and also asked for a credit and they would not give this option either really bad service I am a travel agent of large company and I will not be selling proprty and also will give the feedback to other travel agents in my network not to sell your hotel, this is really poor form as we trying to pick up business after COVID, PLEASE DONT book this hotel !!!! staff are not understanding at all

Lovely building, completely renovated. The room was clean and had good quality bed. Breakfast is nice (20 EUR pp) and served by friendly staff. The only down point was that the room and hallways (we were on the 5th floor) were like a sauna. No AC and poor ventilation (open a window please!). Avoid on hot summerdays, rest of the year: go there!

I loved everything about this hotel, its amazing exterior, elegantly designed spaces, cozy library, friendly staff but the room itself was rather underwhelming for the price category. Our room (double room M) faced a dull office building, the design felt unfinished rather than minimalist and there was constant cigarette smell coming from the window when open. I'm happy for Cologne to have a hotel like this but unless you stay in a suite I wouldn't recommend it.

The Qvest is a lovely, clean and professional hotel. Breakfast was great. The staff are excellent. It's not in the middle of town but you can get to the Cathedral in about twenty minutes. Our room was a little underwhelming considering the lovely pictures on the website. Consider and upgrade from a standard double if you want some wow factor.

I love this hotel! It is in a beautiful old gothic building, but is regularly updated and renovated so you don't feel like your rooms are gothic as well. The staff was incredibly helpful as well. The hotel is nicely situated in a beautiful and quiet part of town with multiple train stations in walking distance. The nearest dining is a bit of a walk away, but not unreasonably far. Definitely a great place if you want to immerse yourself in the local culture in a quiet and elegant hotel!

I have spent three weeks in this hotel due to a business trip, and what can I say? I dont think I have ever stayed at a better hotel. The staff was unbelievable nice and helpful. The rooms are spectacular (love the design!), the whole hotel is just so beautiful and classy. The room was always very clean and pleasant. They even listen to special requirements for breakfast (vegan) and offer them. It was a delightful stay and I will be definitively coming back.

Nice hotel in a good and quiet location of Köln. Shopping, and many sites like the dome quite close by (15 min walk). The only disappointing thing was the underwhelming room. I was prepared for something a bit more spacious at that price and the pictures I saw. So if you are staying here you might wanna upgrade you room or find somewhere else.

The rooms are very nice and the location is great, but the service we got was horrible. First of all we booked a room as a family of 3 (including a 5 y.o. child), so we expected to have 3 sleeping places. However in the room there was only one double bed so we ended up sleeping all 3 of us in one bed. Another thing- we specifically asked for a room with air conditioning as I was 8.5 months pregnant at the time of our visit and it was 38 degrees hot in Köln. Nevertheless we got a room at 5th floor (the last floor, so the hottest) with no air conditioning whatsoever. So the night we spent at the hotel was one of the worst I ever had as I couldn't get almost any sleep because of lack of space in the bed and because of how hot it was. We arrived at the hotel at around 22:00 and there was no one at the reception so we couldn't get help with solving those issues (as they've explained the next morning- because of Corona, the reception is working only till 18:00). I am very disappointed with our stay in this hotel and feel like we just waisted our money trying to have a nice family weekend in Köln.

This is an amazing hotel!! The design is really beautiful, the location is perfect! Very friendly hosts! Beautiful rooms, very clean. I will be back for sure, thanks for this lovely stay!
