Stayed here for business and this is a fantastic hotel very modern and new. Clean lines and sound-proof rooms make this a wonderful hotel not too far from the city centre. Great staff, very large car-park and easy to find coming off the autobahn and major roads. Oh and there's an awesome car museum to look at as part of the hotel.

Beautiful hotel completely in the theme of cars. The rooms were very nice as well with great spacious showers and a beautiful main hall. A must-visit for every car enthousiast.

In the wake of a global pandemic in which its own country, Germany, has closed or canceled all public venues and events, this hotel still had the nerve to refer me to the fine print that will not allow us to reschedule or receive a refund for our stay. Horrible customer service. Won’t be staying when I reschedule my vacation.

An amazing hotel. We arrived with a broken down car and were helped into the car park by the amazing staff. They also helped us with trying to repair it until about one in the morning. They couldn't do enough for us and one person stood out in particular. Constance the receptionist was so helpful and couldn't have done any more for us. Constance should be recognised for her amazing work and she always greeted us with a smile, no matter what time of day it is. Thankyou Constance, we will forever be in your debt and you made a very stressful situation a lot better. Highly recommend the whole Hotel and the car museum next door just blows you away.

Loved everything. The whole concept was brilliant. As a petrolhead this hotel is better than any hotel you can think of. Loved the cars which were in Motorworld, the car memorabilia and decor. Was also treated exceptionally well, and was given the 007 James Bond car suite which was amazing. The room was spacious, bed was comfortable, having my car visible right next to my bed was unbelievably awesome, and was the highlight of my stay. I totally loved it; wish more hotels were like this. I was also given a tour by the reception staff who were friendly, welcoming, and professional. I can’t thank them enough for giving me such a memorable experience. I’d really love to stay here again, and wish there were more V8 hotels in every country. UK included! As there is a large car and motorcycle community here. Lots of petrolheads would love such a hotel.

From the view to the "museum" while sourcing a parking spot, to the green McLaren parked in the lobby next to steakhouse seating, the Ferrari parked near the elevator, the sound file that entertains in the elevator, the lighting in the room that resembled old car headlights, the murals and photos of race cars throughout the room, and the exploded diagram of a V8 engine on the ceiling above the bed, this is a true car enthusiast dream hotel. I had breakfast while listening to a brand new Lamborghini being jockeyed about in the showroom of a dealership attached to the hotel. I really didn't want to leave!

Only reason this hotel deserves even 1 star is the reception staff were friendly and understanding. Booked 1 night in the racing suite here which is advertised on their website as Formula 1 themed. Since I was travelings specifically to see the Michael Schumacher exhibit next door the following day I was willing to spend the extra price for this unique suite. Instead this hotel basically pulled a bait and switch on me and put me in a repurposed car suite room with the desk staff claiming the hotel now has 2 racing suites, which isn't shown anywhere on their website. I mean the room I was given is clearly shown as a car suite on their website, not called a racing suite. I would NEVER have paid 175€ for a room here if it was clear that a racing suite reservation does not get you booked in the RACING SUITE. The standard rooms for like 80€ per night would have been more interesting to me but I couldn't even be moved to one of those as they were all reserved when I checked in too. I could not have been more disappointed in how this hotel basically lies on its website about room categories and not getting the room I booked and it really left a horrible impression of this place and a horrible start to my visit to Cologne. Thankfully the Schumacher exhibit was everything I hoped for considering the hotel was certainly not.

I would suggest to book this as the last option. Firstly, the restaurant kitschen closes weirdly early. We reached at 21:30 and the kitschen of all restaurants was already closed even though there was no information on the website and google showed it open till 23:00. Secondly, its 30 mins away from the city centre. Thirdly, all this for double the price. The cars in the museum or the motor sound in the lift doesn't justify my money. More facilities than just ordinary one is what deserves the money. Germany doesn't get it and it doesnt want to understand I guess. 15.12.2023: As I am not able to give another reply to your reply, I am editing my original review and adding a reply. If you say that the restaurants are operating independently, then it's your responsibility to take care of their basic services they offer as the customers are paying you and not them. If you can't take care of this , you don't deserve the high cost of hotel rooms as it's way costly than the average price. I am sorry . Not to be rude but this is a basic fact you should know.

Attached to Motorworld, super comfy room, didn't get a car bed (thankfully) but cozy and warm. Not close to the city, but perfect location for my work. Fun place to stay for any car enthusiasts, the lift made me giggle every time.

I don't know where to start with this review! I have stayed in many hotels, however as a petrol head, this is by far the best hotel ever! It had a McLaren in reception. Location is super easy to get to from the Autobahn. Ample parking onsite. Reception staff could not be more welcoming and helpful. We had the Mercedes theme room it was just amazing and everywhere you looked there was something cool and car related to see. The bed was amazing to look at and really comfy. Really clean overall both the room and hotel generally. Then there is the added benefit of the dealership next door! What an amazing place to walk round, with the added benefit of the Michael Schumacher collection. As it's a dealer, the cars are always going to change. We saw some difference from the day we arrived to the next morning. Only minor point was having to pay 14 EUR for parking for the night. But to be honest, many hotels charge for parking these days. Therefore that's probably just the Scotsman in me! The parking ticket did get 5 EUR off in the apparel shop if you spent more than 50 EUR, which was all to easy to do with so many nice items! I will 100% be back.

Nice hotel but highly unreliable so beware! Stayed last year and upon arrival were told our rooms were no longer available. After 30 mins of arguing our rooms magically became available... No apologies of course. This year despite having booked 6-7 months ahead, I got an email with half a week to go saying the rooms are no longer available "due to circumstances beyond our control". So we have found alternative accommodation but given how late it is we paid a lot more. Too unreliable to ever considering booking again. A shame.

Loved the V8 Hotel and all its car related touches. Had a themed room, it was fabulous. The lift that revs as you go up and down...a class touch !!! Food was good, plenty of restaurants to choose from. The fact that Motorworld is part of this hotel is a massive bonus. A great collection of cars, especially the Michael Schumacher collection. Would totally recommend it to any petrol head out there.

Room was nice, very modern and clean. Bed was perfect and huge. There is a nespresso machine in the room. Unfortunately the website stated that an electric car charger was present, which was not the case. This was disappointing.

A fantastic location of you remotely like cars! My wife said I did not stop smiling during our stay! I was able to enjoy a themed room and also a 'standard' room. Both are very good and the themed room provides the car fanatic hit. A surprise was that the tea and coffee making facilities, like those in the themed room, were not in the stanfard room; that seemed a strange. The staff were very helpful and friendly. In particular, I would like to highlight Constance as being a star! She was always smiling and nothing was too much trouble. Even when I lost my set of charging cables and thought I had left them in my room (turns out I had not, they were in my luggage the whole time! Doh!) Constance went out of her way to try to track them down. In between times she was able to provide me a UK plug converter and suitable cables until they were found. All the while she was never tempted to treat me like the idiot I felt I was! The hotel concept is superb and I am now keen to try to visit other locations when possible.

I booked the hotel before the covid-19 pandemy to visit the annual Gamescon event in Koln. The event was cancelled due to the pandemy. I asked to cancel my booking at the hotel but it was refused. I'm ready to provide copies of email received to prevent future customers of this hotel to get rip off their money. Hopefully, not all merchants are thieves like this hotel. I got full refund from Gamescom event and full refund from the airport company for my flight.

Very rude personnel. Cancelled our trip without notifying us. We were on our way from Antwerp to Prague and this seemed to be the perfect stop. At the desk they could not find our reservation. Very unpleasant if you travel with a six-month-old baby. The guy at the desk looked like we were from another planet and decided not to help us even though the hotel was not booked out at all.

The hotel itself is nice and clean. For a car enthusoast this is a dream come true. Some hotel decoration items and the elevator making a v8 sound is a bit on silly side. Got to love the concept with many restaurants. Overall, nice and non traditional experience.
