Very nice, organized and spacious airport. Food court (with common Indian dishes) is also available along with lounge. A little more attention is required from individual flight companies to better organize the boarding experience of customers.

The Kolkata airport is lovely, orderly, and clean. One of the busiest airport in India. The airport is replete with Bengali culture. The staff is helpful and courteous. Inside the airport, there are numerous stores carrying international brands. Although there are food outlets inside the airport, the prices are excessively exorbitant. The seating options are also fantastic. The restrooms are tidy. Outside the airport, there is public transportation as well as private transportation. There is also car parking. At the airport's exit, there is a statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Overall, I would say it one word it's just excellent.

This is one of the major airports in the eastern part of the country. There are distinct gates for both international and domestic departures. Varities of shopping and food options are available in the airport. CISF and airport officials are very co-operative. Airport is very clean and well maintained. This airport is really beautiful, especially the outside roof design (Bengali words) truly attractive. It always feels you a Bengali nostalgic smell.

This is one of the major airports in the eastern part of the country. There are distinct gates for both international and domestic departures. There's ample seating space and the ground staff keeps wheelchairs handy. There are numerous food stalls, serving all sorts of cuisines, although the food is a bit pricey. A number of cloth stores, book stores, etc can also be found. After you get your boarding pass from your respective carrier, you move towards the security check, which is very busy most of the times. All in all, it is a splendid airport equipped with all the necessary amenities.

The Kolkata airport is wide. They do have nice and variety of duty-free shops ranging from books, food to lifestyle products. It took me some time to figure where the domestic exchange was because the signage boards got lost in between. Asking a ground crew helped. It could be a cultural thing but he didnโ€™t seem too kind. While there were only a handful of people for handbag check-in area, there were no trays for 15-20 minutes. The staff only contained 5 individuals - 1 to check the women, 2 for men and 2 other uniformed individuals overlooking the entire process. There was an entire stack, filed up in a corner, waiting for someone to just pass it on. Being an international airport, it could use more hygiene and maintenance. The waiting lounges had charging towers each - dirty and a bit rusted. There was on entirely dis-functional - rusted, loose wired and completely shut down.

One of the most popular and busiest airports in India and the Eastern India. The interior is exquisite and posh. Main gate becomes overcrowded sometimes. So please reach before 2 hours of departure to avoid last minute delays. Security check in can be improved. The lounge food is tasty but also can be improved. I have uploaded pics here. It has KFC, wow momo and other North Indian restaurants in food court which is good.

This is the only international airport of west Bengal. The place is very beautiful and well maintained. Both domestic and international flights can be taken from here. Various food and shopping outlets are there. Some luxury lounges are also there. I am not a frequent air traveler but whenever I travel by air, I enjoyed the place very much. The architecture of this place is very nice and reflects bengali culture., โ˜บ๏ธโ˜บ๏ธ

It was great experience. Airport was clean and organized. Covid protocol was well maintained, with social distancing and sanitation. Staffs are very cooperative. Well furnished and very well designed. Only thing I didn't like about the airport is the washrooms weren't clean much. It should be frequently cleaned as it's an international airport with a large crowd. And females are more prone to UTI. Rest airport is very nice.

Itโ€™s a usual airport. Nothing extraordinary but with all necessary facilities. Number of gates are very less for the traffic. Many time you need to go by bus to aircraft. Bathrooms are clean when itโ€™s not crowded. Laung is pathetic but the some food options are there to grab a quick bite.

Good airport with all the features of modern airports. There are lots of options for food and shopping. As with all airports, the food options are good but on the more expensive side. They also have started the DigiYatra access where you can save time to enter the airport using this App. The gates on the first floor are fine and have a decent amount of space. However, those on the ground floor (Gates 100-109) do not have enough space. The washrooms are pretty small as well and can do better with reference to cleaning. One major issue I faced was in the Security check-in. They do not have separate trays for shoes. Even smaller airports have separate trays for shoes. However, here, the same trays are used for shoes as well as laptops, etc. That is a massive health and hygiene problem. I asked the security personnel about it and they mentioned that there are no separate trays for shoes. Requesting the Authorities to please ensure that this issue is resolved since hygiene is vital in these post covid times.

It's maintained well. Not to crowded. Can have some queues at luggage check in and security check though. So better to get here atleast 2hours before boarding time. I like the architecture as well, although i don't know much about it. There are several brands past the security check and a huge waiting lounge. Big airport means more people so expect the lounge to be almost full. Hope u have similar good visits :)

This is one of the best and beautifully designed airport I have visited so far Things are very organised and well maintained. The drop section of the airport is in the top and the pickup is on the ground floor . It has both national and international flights. The parking facilities are very neat and clean and thus it provides no problems when too many vehicles accommodate. There are 2 lanes for pickup the personal car lane and the taxi, uber and other cab services lane . Its very clean and continuous cleaning process is on . The staffs are super active even at the pick of the night .

Airport is very spacious & high inside though it is a medium sized airport compared to other metropolitan cities. Offers a fantastic & large view of the airplanes taking off & taxing in & out. Comparable to one of the good airports in the US country. There are two food courts inside domestic airport along with several stalls on the side. Cleanliness is ok but it has to be excellent.

Recently they have improved a lot but it's completely outside the city. Stuffs are usually very helpful all the time. Some of the washroom are not very clean also in security checking I believe they need more stuff to handle the situation. Also food and beverages qualities are not very good. Also there are not many options for brunch and breakfast. However they are improving continuously and that's a great thing.

CCU airport is in dum dum, Kolkata. It is really easy to reach here via cab and bus, also metro line is also being extended here. There are two floors. Ground for arrival and first for departure. It is recommended during covid situation to follow all protocols and be there early to check in. Very easy baggage drop and pick up. Hassle-free check in and security check. Food court is also available inside with variety of options. It is spacious and lot's of space to sit and wait. Washroom is available. There are some shopping and grocery outlet too. Wheelchair accessible entrance Wheelchair accessible parking Gpay available. Airport can be more clean. Specially toilet. I expected them to be more clean and hence reducing one star. Otherwise it is really amazing airport with top class facilities.

It is located approximately 15-16kms away from the Kolkata city. Tips/Details: 1. Drinking water is available. 2. Washrooms are moderate clean. 3. Has wheelchair accessible entrance. 4. Mobile charging slots are available in form of wall sockets and charging boxes as well beside the sitting seats. 5. Sleeping beds are available at the corners. 6. Totos or few vehicles are not allowed inside the airport so better check before you hire one. 7. If in search of food outside the airport then move towards right side of the airport while coming out of the airport, else youโ€™ll have to walk a bit long way from left side or you can hire a taxi. Happy and safe flighting ๐Ÿ˜Š

One of the best airports in India. Well maintained by the Kolkata government. All the required facilities are available here like cafe restaurants and lots of brand outlets for shopping. While booking a cab for anywhere you must know how to bargain from them usually they ask for a double price so be careful. Otherwise you can book through an authorised online app or stall. The main road walking distance is just 10-12 minutes from the airport exit gate and from there u can catch buses for all areas of Kolkata.

My recent experience at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport was a mixed one, leading to a three-star rating. Here's a breakdown of my observations: โœˆ๏ธ Efficiency and Facilities: The airport's efficiency and facilities were decent. The terminal was clean, and the staff appeared helpful. However, I did notice some areas that could use improvement in terms of organization and passenger flow. ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Limited Dining Options: One of the downsides was the limited dining options. While there were some eateries, I expected a greater variety of food choices, especially for international travelers. ๐Ÿš† Transportation Connectivity: The airport is reasonably well-connected to the city and other transportation hubs, which is a plus. However, I encountered some delays and inefficiencies in the transportation services available, which could be improved. In summary, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport is a decent facility for air travel, but there is definitely room for improvement in terms of dining options and transportation services. With some enhancements in these areas, it has the potential to provide a more enjoyable experience for travelers.

It is just okay. Better than before which stray cats and dogs inside. The lounge is minimal. The food is pricey and tastes like hospital food. Staff is less, so crossing at the check in and security check is inevitable. Probably should start three hours only to get inside peacefully.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose international airport (Previously Known as Dum dum airport) Size: quite a large one, international category. Design: Bengali architecture well visible in its engineering. Ease of reach: No metro facility available to airport. (Like Delhi airport express metro)- actually It SHOULD HAVE ONE. Hired cab (taxi, Ola, Uber) will go. Currently Bus service is unavailable (dt some road issues) Auto: from Dumdum railway station to Nager bazar and again from Nager bazar to Airport gate 1. > From there a 10min walk till airport entry gate (however, Rickshaw will be available there, charge usually around 100/-) Toilet: available but the cleaning quality was not sufficient while visited last time. No tissue was provided, foul smell within washroom. Staff behaviour: (specially Jet airways and AIR INDIA after my multiple travel experience) Not good so far, often make trouble for covid reports despite having a vaccination certificate. Even during a conversation, they just don't bother about your emotions or anxiety. Had a long queue, THEY WERE NOT UTILISING THE CAPACITY (Out of total 8 counters only utilised 3 and thus gives unnecessary delay for the passages) ( in AIR INDIA, and most of other companies also) Security check in: Process is very lengthy one, they probably have shortage of staff and also don't provide the attention many a times, ignores the concern of passengers consciously it seems. MAKE SURE: You don't carry any power bank in Check in bag. (U can take in hand bag) DO NOT CARRY any inflammable substances like Gas lighter, etc OR any sharp objects like Blade, scissors OR alcohol (might require to submit it there in level 3 check in only, else you take a receipt of buy and ask them) Smoking room: Near gate 18 entry: NON FUNCTIONAL, under maintenance. Near gate 25: VERY SMALL SIZE, Permit only 5 people at a time, often a long que before you can have the entry. It SOULD BE SPACIOUS ENOUGH (Like Delhi airport) Drinking water facility: Non-touch one, with sensor. Should be available in more numbers. Relax sofa: SHOULD BE INCREASED IN NUMBER, only 3-4 near gate no 18. It remains full almost always. Aerobridge: This is quite a special and good for this airport, now a days most of the airports are coming with this facility. It avoids the hectic schedule of riding the bus to get into the flight. On arrival: Cab service available to take into the city, but charge is quite very high. You can take a walk from there to nearest bus stop (takes 10min approx), then book a cab (taxi, ola, Uber) or get into Bus. (It might save you around 500-800/- rupees) BE AWARE OF FEW RULES AND HAVE A SAFE JOURNEY.

The entrance for domestic and the international terminal are the same for the CCU airport as of Feb 2021. The airport, although is recently renovated and probably redesigned as well, you won't find it very clean and modern, as compared to other new airports in India. Inadequate signs after arrival, the restrooms and facilities looks unclean, worn out, smelly and very old, help desks are scarce. I felt the international arrival look very depressing. When you enter the "city of joy" as a citizen or a tourist through this airport you see the immigration section is so sad and dim lit. It doesn't give me a vibe of a joyous or a happy entry to the city. Recently i have seen that there are more stores inside the airport too. Of course those are helpful too to buy some souvenir before flying out.

Such a big airport. It was chaotic . Very clean. And there are so many shops too if you're bored in the airport. Government as well as Private transport available outside the Airport. Car parking is also available. There is a Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose statue at the exit point of the airport. Overall experience is very good.

One of the best airports in India. This airport definitely deserves the title for โ€˜Most Improved Airportโ€™. We arrived in Kolkata as a connection flight to Dubai, UAE, and the arrival experience is as good as it gets, with the immigration queues almost empty, and the staff go through our immigration very quickly (both Indian and Foreigner passport holder queues were empty). I also saw that the staff make it a priority to keep queues short and quick, and they do it very efficiently. After collecting our baggage from the belt, we went to the check in, to drop off the same baggage for the next flight. I must say that even with a a connection flight, and with tags indicating that our baggage is going through a connecting flight, the staff made us collect the baggage, making the tags practically useless, as we needed to do the same checkin as all others. Otherwise, the pathway is very clear and short. I also must say that This airport is one of the most advanced airports in the technology sector. The security checks had conveyer belts all across, wane security guards did not cramp the areas at all, as the conveyer belts could instead be managed by the click of the button. They also separate hand baggage which are cleared, and hand baggage which find any items that are not allowed, which makes the process very helpful for both sides. All the staff speak a Hindi and Bengali, and most speak English, and they are very kind with their services and are very helpful. An issue I do have is the lounge the airport offers. There are two lounges in the airport by what I saw, and they are not big, and with lesser seat numbers, the queue just lines up. But once you do find seats, I must they that their food is absolutely fantastic for both vegetarians and non vegetarians, and they also state what allergens are used into making the dish. There is also a bar, and different seat types, which overall makes the lounge more accessible than most other lounges you can find across India and in other countries. Once taking my second flight from Kolkata to UAE, I noticed that the queues are split into three zones, with each zone having people with specific seat number ranges, which makes the boarding process easier for passengers and the crew members, which I find to be very unique and creative. Overall, I find this airport to be fantastic, and with the exception of the lounge issue. I definitely recommend taking this airport as a connection flight instead of Delhi (a very crowded airport which are not as modern and accessible), you will have a great time.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata is a well-located and accessible airport with two modern terminals. It maintains cleanliness, efficient immigration and security, diverse shopping and dining options, and excellent connectivity. The staff is known for their friendliness and helpfulness, and there are facilities for passengers with special needs. Overall, it's a key hub for Eastern India, offering a positive travel experience.

Airport is all good but it's not in a current place it's my opinion because from its very difficult to reach via dum dum junction and taxi driver will ask you a lot of money and from howrah it's also Little bit messy so in my opinion airport is not at a right place

This airport is among the most exquisitely planned and well-organized that I have visited thus far. It is also immaculate. The airport's drop area is located at the top, while the pickup area is located on the bottom floor. It offers flights both domestically and internationally. Because the parking areas are so orderly and spotless, there are never any issues when there are more cars than there is space for. .It is always being cleaned and is quite clean. Even during the busiest time of the evening, the staff is really engaged.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose airport is one of the best airports in India. It is located at the heart of the city, Dumdum. The layout of the airport is very simple and arrivals you will not have to walk miles to book a cab. Once you get out the cabs will be easily available.

This review is for those who are traveling during covid from tripura. While my travel I didn't need any vaccination certificate though I had it with me. They didn't ask for the certificate nor did they ask about rtpcr report. And as always kolkata airport is busy and full of people. Just stay away from local cab drivers they will charge 10-15times the normal fare, if they get the idea that you are from other place. So my advice is to bargain or use online cab services.

A hub in eastern India, its a nice airport with decent facilities and good connectivity pan India. Being in one of the oldest city in our country I strongly felt that the airport should showcase a bit more details of the city it stands. The halls are huge and can handle commuters traffic even in future and the facilities are well placed. The overall experience is hassle free.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose (Kolkata) International Airport is a civil airport located in West Bengal, India. It is one of the busiest airport in India. The airport is very big and well decorated and maintained. It maintained a very STRICT SECURITY PROTOCOLS. You will find all sort if shops in this place from book store to jewellery shop. And all famous food joint outlets are also present here. The product prices are bit high.

been this airport many times, clean, well maintained... also known as Kolkata Airport and Dum Dum Airport, Kolkata Airport is the largest hub for air traffic in the eastern part of the country. The airport handles approx almost 20 million passengers making it the fifth-busiest airport in India in terms of passenger traffic after airports at Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. Security check could be tricky sometimes so be there at least 2 hours before if you are catching an international flight Ample stores, ranging from apparel to Decor (BISWABANGLA store) to Jwewllry (Tanishq). Food corners are there on both sides of the terminal.

Quite a big in size but definitely need more maintenance. Workers of the airport spits ghutkha here and there, seen with my own eyes. Whoever is in charge is not enough careful about the cleanliness. It has everything but needs more care. Chairs are terribly dirty. Govt. has done everything but this thing should be taken care by airport authority. Airport represents a State, a country, so they should be more careful about it. Donโ€™t let outsiders think negative about the city of joy KOLKATA.

I love the infrastructure of Kolkata Airport. The ceiling especially is so wonderful, depicting Rabindranath Tagore's handwritten works. It looks divine. The Bengali culture is depicted wonderfully. I also like the lighting inside, the vibes it give is really cool, especially during night. It's one of the busiest airports in India, yet the crowd management is really good, and everything goes very smoothly. You will hardly feel it's a busy airport, which is good. The working staff here are also very humble and helpful in nature. Biggest plus point is that airport is clean and tidy. The maintenance is proper and timely. There are many shop options available here, and the food joints are sufficient for a nice eating, although it's overpriced inside. The lounge is nice, and if you have a valid card - you are in for a treat to have a nice time before flight departure. Just that I feel the lounge could have been a bit bigger and spacious to hold more people, otherwise it's good. The premium lounge (The Irish Bar) is excellent though.

Structurally impressive. Less crowded than other metropolitan cities of India. Provides a nice aerial view of the city landscape while takeoff and landing. Well maintained and clean. Courteous ground staff. Lounge access on the first floor.

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport is the busiest airport in India. I am very impressed about the bus connectivity from Howrah railway station to the airport, AC bus ticket fare is only 50 rupees which is very cheapโ€ฆ

One of the best airports. It is not less than Delhi or Hyderabad airport. Spacious, multiple shop/food joints. I have always spent less time at the frisking counter at this airport even after having a good amount of people travelling. Over all nice Experience.
