👍👍 Brought a severely sick cat (Mia) after being hospitalised at another vet clinic for four days. I did not make an appointment but the moment I stepped in, the receptionist looked at Mia and immediately got a doctor over to look at her. Mia was treated immediately and we ran some blood tests to find... People often mention doctor, Gasing, condition, time, wait, Aslan, care, visit, clinic, hours,

Brought a severely sick cat (Mia) after being hospitalised at another vet clinic for four days. I did not make an appointment but the moment I stepped in, the receptionist looked at Mia and immediately got a doctor over to look at her. Mia was treated immediately and we ran some blood tests to find out the issue. Dr Lim was very knowledgeable and patient in explaining all the details of her situation. We found out many more causes within 24 hours here than the four days at the vet clinic. Unfortunately we had to euthanise Mia due to the severity of her condition. However, I felt very reassured with the professionalism and care that Dr Lim has provided over Mia. Thank you.

Rude medical administrative assistants!! The veterinarians at this clinic are highly skilled and compassionate when it comes to caring for our beloved pets. However, there are serious issues with the professionalism of the receptionists. This is my second visit to this clinic with a pet in a critical condition, and both times, I've encountered rude and impatient behavior from the medical administrative assistants. It's frustrating because we are paying for their services, and it's concerning that they haven't received the necessary training or improvement in their conduct. In my first experience, I brought in my pet after a car accident, and tragically, my pet passed away the following day at the hospital. Unfortunately, the medical administrative assistant showed no empathy and rushed us to settle the payment without allowing us the time to grieve properly. I still vividly recall how my debit card was returned to me in an unprofessional manner after we made the payment. In the second incident, my pet was brought in due to a sudden paralysis, and when we tried to call to inquire about the progress, the medical administrative assistant displayed impatience and promptly hung up the phone without listening to our concerns. It was the veterinarian who advised us to contact the receptionist for basic updates. My pet was in the hospital for nearly a week, and we live 30 kilometers away. The veterinarian instructed us to visit at a specific time the following day. However, the medical administrative assistant rudely informed us that it wasn't the designated visiting hour. This made me question whether there was effective communication between the veterinarians and the medical administrative assistants regarding the special instructions provided. These discourteous and unhelpful medical administrative assistants are tarnishing the clinic's reputation, even though the veterinarians are exceptional. Regrettably, I cannot recommend this clinic to anyone based on the negative experiences I've had with the reception staff.

Wonderful doctors! They're young and passionate and responsive and efficient in their job. My third visit here today bringing my poodle Teddy, but was told that we had to wait 2 hours due to the long queue. We informed the staff to have a doctor see to her urgently since she was bleeding from the toe earlier, and was promptly seen to by a doctor to check if she needed urgent attention or if she can wait in the normal queue. She didn't require urgent attention but unfortunately we couldn't wait that long. A doctor came out to have a quick look at my dog's toe and recommended us to get an ointment and to put on an Elizabethan collar for her. All done in 10 minutes! Very efficient indeed. Forgotten the name of the doctor- short-haired, Indian female doctor with glasses. Thank you so much for your help😍 Dr Lam who saw to my cat who suffered from bladder stones, comes highly recommended. She is patient and clear in her explanation and most of all passionate about her job. Keep up the good work! Price-wise a little expensive compared to other vet clinics but commensurate with the service quality and facilities provided.

Recommended👍🏻 Reasonable price with all professional doctors and friendly staffs. Dr. Law is young but very responsible, patient and professional. He carefully took care of my pet, fed her food & medicine himself to follow up the condition until late night 11pm and update me the status even it was over his working hours. He rushed to hospital the next morning at 8pm due to an emergency case of my pet. I hope I can meet Dr. Law earlier maybe I still have chance to save my pet😢 I’m so regret that I was wasting too much time at Lian clinic and missed the best rescue time for my pet. Thank you so much Dr. Law! 🙏🏻

Dr. Wilson was awesome. He took care of my dog very well. Place is much cleaner than last time. They attended to my dog at around mid night. He was about to go to surgery he obliged to attend my dog before that.

When we realised our cat was not feeling well, it was 2:30AM. After checking her symptoms on Google, we felt we needed to take her to a vet for treatment. Most of the vets we called did not pick up until we got to Gasing Veterinary Hospital. We were told on the phone the choices we had and also the charges for the late night call if we decide to go to the vet. After a few minutes of deliberations, we called the vet and said we are coming. We were advised that the doctor will be there to meet us in 10 minutes. Upon arrival, the doctor was already there and after registration, Dr Low checked on our cat and concluded that she may have flu. After a more thorough examination, he also recommended that we do a blood test to eliminate any other complications. But he felt that a jab should help bring down the temperature. He also advised that we should monitor the cat when we get home for the next day and to contact him or another vet, if we choose, to follow up on any other necessary treatment. All in all, Dr Low was very confident, clear and in charge of this situation. This was very reassuring. He included the names and dosage of the medications he gave so we will have a history of the treatment to date in case we used a different veterinary hospital. The after hours charge was RM 200.00 and the consultation and treatment, another RM 25.00 making the total, RM 225.00. Very reasonable especially for that time of the night. I highly recommend Gasing Veterinary Hospital, and especially Dr Low for the way he precisely handled the situation.

Found this Vet place via google map. Due to my pet emergency, I’m truly grateful to have Dr Wendy assisted me. Teddy got discharge and recovered well. Price is affordable. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Tips: 1. Bring your water for yourself and furkid 2. Go early and you need to register your self at the front desk before their will ask you to wait outside. Do estimate waiting time is minimum 60mins - 90mins. ✅Unless it’s emergency - their will ask a doctor to do a quick check before ask you to wait outside. 3. Bring a book, or powerbank incase your phone battery flat. 4. There is 2 open space parking across the Vet Hospital. No need to pay. ❎Perhaps what their can improve is, allocate another counter for ONE staff to pick up the phone or REPLY WhatsApp’s message. I have been calling them morning till afternoon. Until evening their only call me back.

After knowing my dog emergency condition.. a very nice vet was send to inspect my dog. Got very fast attention. Post surgery.. despite my dog passed away after that due to poor prognosis. I still think they are a very good hospital indeed.. charges are reasonable too.

Very professional doctors with warm heart.🐶 The director and doctors are dog first. Their advise always think the best way for the dog. We really appreciate doctors for caring my dog even weekend and midnight. Without Gasing Vet, my dog couldn't have such a long happy life. Thank you so much☺️❤️ Their price is reasonable, always long queue. Not only doctor, reception also super busy. Pet owners should understand and cooperate. If you write up your info (name, contact number, symptons etc) help easy register. They accept wait outside, reception will call you when your turn.

it all started when my cat Aslan had difficulty in breathing. i rushed him to emergency and was treated by Dr Kunam. She immediately took Aslan for x-ray. Before going to Gasing, Aslan was treated at a different vet for asthma. After x-ray, Dr Kunam suggested Aslan to do heart scan because she's more worried of his heart than his lungs. i was blurred and asked her if i can bring back Aslan to previous clinic and she said yes. next day i brought Aslan to previous clinic and they said Aslan has heart problem (by looking at his x-ray films) and said that he only has 7 months to live. i was devastated and had to bring Aslan to Gasing again coz previous clinic didnt have the specialist or capacity to treat heart patients. Aslan met Dr Prem and he was so nice and said Aslan needed to go for echocardiogram. Since then, Aslan is a regular at Gasing under Dr Kunam's care. fast forward it's been 2 years Aslan was officially diagnosed with HCM and he's doing great with medication. After Aslan, i adopted another cat which has chronic diarrhea. suspected IBD and Bobo is also a regular at Gasing. Dr Kunam patiently answered whatever questions that i asked her and when i found new probiotics or anything overseas and i would share link to her. she will check and let me know if it is okay for Bobo to take. After almost a year plus, Bobo finally has firmed stools. IBD is no joke, and Dr Kunam has helped Bobo a lot. she even looked for a place that can do stool sampling test for Bobo. Thank you Dr Kunam for taking a good care of Aslan & Bobo.

Very bad service. Dr in charge was okay. He did explain well regarding my cat's condition. Very disappointed with the service at the receptionist. I came around 10.50 am to pick up my cat and wait a few minutes for the Dr to explain on my cat's test result. Around 11.02 I came back to the waiting area to wait for payment. Waited too long. until 12.15 pm I couldn't wait anymore as I have other business to attend to, I ask the staff if I can go first and make the payment later, then she immediately prepares the invoice & said I can make the payment. During the 1hour+ waiting, I asked many times if my cat's invoice is ready so I can make payment, but they keep asking me to wait & sit first. Definitely will not be here again unless it's an emergency or no other option. Wasting my time!

Environment was busy and packed though there was a silver lining to it, I got to see alot of dogs mainly a golden retriever caught my eyes and she's was gorgeous. For me getting to see a retriever is always a plus but nuff bout him now, onto my dog he was having a diarrhea and we had to get him treated but none of the vets clinics was open past 7.30pm and thankfully these guys were open then. The que does take some time for the registration process and for the diagnosis but who's to blame since there is an influx of patients who outnumber the doctors. The doctor who treated him was caring and thorough and she explained everything in detail and once that was done, we paid for his medicines at around RM130 which was reasonable for the treatment they gave.

I do not mind the wait as the doctors and staff are very helpful and kind. The place is also kept clean which is great! My dog, Koko had a ear infection which was bothering him badly which he refused to allow me to clean at home, so the doctor suggested a medication which she could inject into his year which would last a week but i would then need to bring him back to the clinic to get his ear cleaned and repeat the procedure weekly, until the infection had healed. Luckily, the medication worked and I only had to get meds injected twice on the whole. On my 3rd visit, the doctor, Dr. Adah, didn't even charge me for the visit, as my dogs ear had completely healed. This was very unexpected, but much appreciated, especially in times where the economy is so bad.

Be prepared to wait for 2 to 3 hours every visit as this remains one of the most well-known vet in town. Regardless, the front desk will evaluate the urgency of your pet's condition, and will bump you up if they need immediate medical attention. I have been here often for over 2 years now, and with their well-documented patient profiles, I've encountered no issues even if I was attended by different vets sometimes. Thanks Gasing!

I went to this vet because my usual vet recommend me as they dont have the equipment to treat my cat with kidney disease. The receptionist was rude and ask me to wait for 2 hours. When I was called, the doctor who checked on my cat was already “gave up” to my cat’s condition but still did the blood test although I already brought the blood test result from my usual vet, the doctor then asked me to wait for the result and she brought my cat to the ward room as my cat was put on IV. Around half an hour waiting, the doctor came and said that the machine is broken so they suggested me to go home and they would call when the result is out. Unfortunately after few hours later they called me and said that my cat has passed away. I came to pick up my cat and clear the bill, but one thing that made me dissapointed was that they charge me with the blood test while I never actually receive the result about what really happened to my cat. But I didnt say anything because I couldnt talk while crying. I dont blame them for my cat being passed away, its just that they should change their management system and rudeness, many people looks dissapointed. So my suggestion is dont come here unless its emergency. RIP Kuro 🖤

Understand that Front Desk is a challenge job especially in the clinic, maybe need to think how to improve the front desk operation and service quality. Thank you.

We had an ER situation for our one year old cat. We were referred here by two different vets prior coming here at nearly ten PM. We were attended by Dr Chew. It turned out that our cat needed a emergency surgery. She explained the options and carefully answered our queries. It was our first time here and we were impressed with the professionalism of our doctor.

Hands down the best experience I have had at a vet. Went in 3 weekends ago with my pet dog who clipped her left hind foot and giving herself a tear, hence an open wound and a swollen leg. She kept being aggressive anytime anyone tried to treat her and refused to be touched on her injured foot. Was seen by Dr Wilson who upon learning of her condition and aggressive behaviour, got the aid of 2 his colleagues who so expertly managed my pet dog and held her while he was able to thoroughly inspect the wound and confirm the extent of the injury. Loved the thoroughness of their work and the professional attitude shown by the team in managing a difficult situation. Grateful for their help and would absolutely recommend them to anyone. Please do be patient with them as they are one of the very few vets who stay open on weekends so do expect high visitor traffic but know that they are doing their best.

Dr. Lim, if you are seeing this review - Thank you very much for your genuine care and empathy. You are one true doctor with heart. I rushed my dog to Gasing (first visit) due to her unexpected worsening condition. Waiting time is very long (1.5 hrs or more). Place is very crowded with limited seats. Receptionists service can be improved. Dr. Lim attended my dog with care (despite such busy schedule) and try her best to explain every single detail and point of concerns. She even text to update test result beyond working hours. My dog has fully recovered the following days following medications.

Brought my dog with a cough and other symptoms. Unpleasant vet. Misdiagnosed dog and sent home dog with cough syrup. Dog passed away one week later. This was the first of the two vets I took my dog to. Symptoms were indicative of a canine heart attack.

Our adopted toy poodle, Harry, found a lifeline in Gasing Vet Hospital. After months of uncertainty and failed diagnoses from two different veterinary clinics in Penang (which involved multiple veterinarians, one of whom suggested extracting all his teeth to address potential tooth pain, or another who rendered him temporarily deaf with ear drops for a presumed ear infection), we finally discovered the root of Harry's troubles - a neurological condition (MUE/MUO) - at Gasing in KL. We made the crucial decision to travel from Penang to Gasing, the only facility in Malaysia equipped with an animal MRI scanner. This state-of-the-art facility, together with the team's unparalleled expertise, was our only choice for Harry's critical care. Dr. Wilson, Dr. Ikhwan, and the dedicated team exemplified professionalism and empathy. Their prompt actions and open communication, seemingly around the clock, highlight an unwavering commitment to their furry patients. This extraordinary level of service far exceeds anything we have experienced before, even in private human hospitals! Their meticulous attention to Harry's short and mostly unknown history, exhaustive investigations, and treatment plans are undoubtedly guiding us positively through Harry's health journey. Despite the pressures of time and a high patient load, the team's agility is testament to their efficient and caring operation. We are profoundly grateful to Dr. Wilson, Dr. Ikhwan, and the entire Gasing Vet Hospital team. Their comprehensive report, clear action plan, and effective medication have quickly improved Harry's condition. We are hopeful that a vet closer to home can continue this excellent care so he can beat the odds of this debilitating condition. If not, we might just need to relocate to KL!

Leaving a 5 star review for Dr Low. What an amazing doctor. Very assuring as his explanation was thorough, his handling of our pet was gentle and his method of treatment was sound. He could have called us the next day during working hours for results, but he chose to call immediately after work hours to follow up, in detail. We can tell he truly understands our anxiety as parents. Thank you for making our visit such a positive experience; all furbabies would be so lucky to call you their vet.

Highly recommended with very reasonable consultation price. Medicine would be very affordable. We were pleasantly surprised with the bill. Expect a long queue though, we waited 3 hours plus the first visit. Second visit was about 2 hrs. For our dog with skin allergy, they got us in the right direction, that's abstaining from processed dog food. Our poodle's condition has improved rather greatly over the last 3 months.

In December, my dog had a bone stuck in his throat and needed endoscopy. I called Gasing. They were extremely helpful and arranged the earliest available slot for me. Dr Byron did the endoscopy and my dog (which had heart issues) woke up from his sedation within an hour. First experience with the hospital was great. I even wanted to send them a Thank You gift. In January, my dog started experiencing some twitching. I brought him over on Monday and was prescribed with some pain killers. My dog did not get better and his condition deteriorated to serious diarrhea and wobbly legs. So we revisited on Friday. Dr Chew attended to my dog. She gave some textbooks explanation and prescribed meds for the diarrhea. My dog did not get better. His legs has became so wobbly he cant walked properly and has became extremely weak. He can't even lift his head. We revisited again on Sunday morning. Dr Wendy attended to us and she was the worst doctor that I have ever seen!! No proper recommendations on what to do, My dog was already looking lifeless and yet this doctor standing in front of me is just completely useless. I was extremely pissed!!! Complained to the receptionist and demanded for someone more experience to attend to us. In the end, Dr Adah attended to us and she explained the blood test results that we took earlier. Explanation was done on point but at this juncture, there was nothing much we can do for our dog as his results were bad and he was too old to go through any treatments. We decided to put him to sleep as he was screaming in pain when we got back from hospital. The hospital holds some responsibility on this. Dr Chew from our second visit should have recommended blood test and we would have been able to make the decision earlier. Dr Wendy was just completely useless and made me super pissed. So if anyone wants to visit this hospital, please ask for someone more experienced like Dr Adah and Dr Byron.
