Wonderful experience hosted by Belen and her ladies crew. The venue couldn’t be better, an old LOVELY family house in the middle of Belgrano, ideal for foreigners who want to learn about the Argentine asado culture and taste the best quality meat that can be done in a grill. The wine is top quality. I truly recommend this experience for corporate visitors and tourists, too much better than having a dinner in any meat restaurant in the city. One tip, BE HUNGRY.

We went here for a corporate event. We had a group of 9 from all different countries and this was amazing. Super interactive. Brought everyone together in a fun warm way. The staff was amazing and really helped to connect everyone and get them involved. Even if you took the interactive element out, this would be a 5/5 star experience for the food alone. Not even exaggerating when I say the best food I’ve had in my entire life. I had heard amazing things about the meat in Argentina (I’m from the US) but this was by far the highlight of the trip. Literally not a single thing I’d complain or recommend to improve. I’m officially hooked on Asado and plan to bring my meat salting skills back state side. This truly is an “experience” and can’t recommend enough.

This experience was so much more than I originally thought it would be and was 100% worth the money. The experience brought a group of people together and really lent itself to creating meaningful connections and conversations with people you might have just met. The info provided around the food was amazing and the food was so delicious. If I ever come back to Buenos Aires I would likely do this again. It was the best asado I had while in Argentina!

I need for EVERYONE to participate in THIS Asado Experience. This was my and my friend's first time in Argentina and I truly am so glad we signed up for this. I will say I thought this was just a cooking class, but I'm very grateful that it was MUCH MORE. We had Belen, Paloma, and Selmi. They were such down to earth, nice, fun, informative, and friendly individuals! And most importantly, they shared personal sides of themselves and allowed us to feel comfortable doing the same--which is what the Asado experience is all about. My friend and I felt so connected to them and we were so glad to learn about and immerse ourselves in that incredible piece of Argentinian history and culture. The house where the experience is held is STUNNING. We truly felt at home. The wine was great. And THE FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE! I actually cannot stop thinking about it. The only downside is that we could stay longer :) Also, the fact that this is an experience ran by women just made it that much better as it has typically been viewed that an asado could be only run by men, which is obviously not true nor fair to think. Really the entire experience was amazing and we were grateful to have this interaction. I will be planning to come back to Buenos Aires with other friends and family and this will be TOP on the list! They also travel and carry out this experience in other places in the world which is incredible! Ugh I can't say enough of amazing things about this. We absolutely loved it!!

Some friends came from Central America. The experience didn't seem bad to them. The house is pretty. Now... after trying other barbecues and restaurants, this experience seemed like a scam. They served us a lomo (fair to bad), a choripan (the only thing notable), a tiny mini scoop of ice cream, they skimped on the wine. The sweetbreads were regular, all the portions were tiny and they charged $150 dol. Horror!!! There is nothing about Argentine barbecue! Is a gotcha !

The Asado Experience is one of those very special opportunities you hope to have when visiting a foreign country. It’s unique, intimate, educational, and most of all delicious! The team gives you exactly what the name says: the experience of a traditional asado. It is a gathering of new friends to talk, laugh, learn, drink great wine, and eat outstanding food in a beautiful setting (a private home in a tranquil B.A. neighborhood). We found it to be the absolute highlight of our week in Buenos Aires.

This was the highlight of the trip for us. Being from South Africa we thought we knew a thing or two about cooking meat but this was a real learning experience! Belen, Malena and Lucio were absolutely amazing and the food was delicious. We will definitely be taking the skills we learn back to London so we can have an “Asado” with our friends!

I had an unforgetable time at The Asado Experience! Being an Argentinian myself and having already tried multiple asados throughout my life, I was surprised by how delicious and tender the meat was. The attention to detail and dedication to the traditional asado techniques made this experience memorable. Lola, the grill master, thoroughly explained how to prepare the fire, salt each one of the cuts and the best way to grill them. I will definitely come back!

Hands down the best experience we have had in Buenos Aires. Everything was amazing from the quality of the food to the knowledgeable host to the ambiance of the location. This has to be the best steak I’ve had here. We truly enjoyed meeting the host, Belen, and her two grill masters, Paloma and Malena. From the moment we arrived to the time left, we felt right at home. We also made friends with the other guests. It was a true Asado Experience. It’s a MUST DO if you are traveling here!

If you are visiting Buenos Aires you definitely MUST go to The Asado Experience. The talented women team give you a cozy welcome to their residential house in Belgrano with the most complete asado experience where you are able to merge in the Argentinian culture sharing a nice time with people from all around the world, getting to know stories and experiences from different cultures and learning the best asado tips such as different cuts of meat, how to cook them and most importantly tasting the best asado in town. If you want to have a great time and live an authentic Argentinian asado experience, this is what you are looking for. Everything is perfectly planned and the hosts will make you feel at home. Definitely coming back! Highly recommended!!

The Asado Experience is a great way to learn about Argentinian culture and the importance of asado to Argentines. Asado refers to much more than just food. It's about friendship, camaraderie, and respect which is accentuated with delicious food and drink. Clara, Olivia, and Erica did an amazing job of explaining the importance of asado and creating an atmosphere in which we were able to participate in the the complete experience just as Argentinians do. The food, wine, and conversation could not have been better!

What an amazing experience! It felt like an authentic Argentine asado with locals. It was truly an experience, more than a meal - they taught us how to prep the fire, prepare the meats, grill the meats and veggies, and we spent time chatting with the friendly staff and other participants. The meat and wine were delicious and very high quality. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone interested in learning about Argentine gastronomy or even just Argentine culture!

I booked this thinking it was just a regular cooking class. I didn't know much about an Asado, I was simply booking a birthday trip to include some good food. I booked before researching because I didn't want to risk it selling out. Upon researching, I was very impressed that this was an all women's team of grillmasters. From the language translation to my Uber driver, the hug I received upon crossing the threshold of the beautiful home, to the knowledge I gained about Argentina, its cuisine and the Asado, the wine, the company, the laughs, and the AMAZING and delicious food; everything was EXEMPLARY. To say I was wowed is an understatement. Thank you for welcoming me into your home. This is an experience Iook forward to doing again....10/10 👌🏾

My older brother and I signed up for the Asado Experience after reading all of the positive reviews online and boy are we glad that we did! Our class was hosted by Lola and Belen and I cannot recommend this class more! Truly the most hands on, culturally immersive, DELICIOUS, and rewarding experience that is typically not possible to find when traveling. Not only are we taking with us recipes and cooking skills that we will undoubtedly recreate when we get back to the US, but memories that will last a lifetime and a better understanding of the meaning behind such an important part of Argentine culture. We opted for the wine upgrade and it did not disappoint - very worth it. The vineyard it came from won an award for the best wine in the world the previous year. Very cool to be able to say that we enjoyed it (and wholeheartedly agree how great it was). The class is located in Belen's childhood home, a beautiful house that has been in her family for generations. They make you feel like family the second you walk in the door - I don't think I have ever felt so at home so quickly by people I've never met in my entire life. Possibly the best part is the conversations we had around the table and throughout - Belen and Lola highly encouraged us to ask as many questions as possible with no limitations to the topic. We had a wonderful time talking with the other participants in the class as well. 10/10 recommend!!! You will NOT regret!

If you are a first time visitor to Argentina and have not experienced an asado, you must come here. Belen is an incredible host who cooks a delicious asado in the backyard of her parents house. The class is very informative and you learn so much about Argentine culture as well as the other guests. It is very intimate. Belen sources all the best meat from local butchers and every cut is amazing. Even if you are hesitant about trying sweetbreads or blood sausages, you must do it here! A lot of food is served so If you do the lunch session, you will not need a dinner reservation that night. Thank you Belen, Olivia and Erica for an amazing day!

Unforgettable experience! Making and sharing barbecues is what I enjoy most in life, and what Belén achieved with The Asado Experience represents everything that makes us Argentines enjoy this ritual so much. It's about sharing, enjoying, laughing, chatting... The barbecue itself could be said to be "the means to", although I must say, I have done many barbecues in my life and this one that Belu, Clari and Lola made, was truly spectacular. It is an experience in which no detail is left to chance. For every moment and person there is a fact, anecdote and flavor that makes everything flow and be truly enjoyable for everyone. Including the master grillers, who clearly enjoy giving this "class" of grilling with a passion that is contagious. Around the barbecue they manage to create a really nice and somewhat intimate atmosphere between complete strangers, which gives rise to each one spontaneously sharing something about their life and their passions, as Belén does by telling her life story and how created TAE. It fills me with joy and a certain pride that these Asadoras are showcasing this well for foreigners, which I consider to be the best of Argentines. The barbecue and the magical connection that is generated around it. Here's to many more experiences! 😊 🙌

My husband and I participated in the Asado experience and it was truly a highlight to our stay in Buenos Aires. The setting and environment were elegant yet welcoming. The chef was very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was simply amazing, with fresh, quality ingredients and we got to learn about the Asado tradition for Argentinians. I would definitely recommend anyone visiting Buenos Aires to do the Asado Experience!

This was an ABSOLUTE highlight in Buenos Aires!! The Food was amazing! But the whole experience is what made the night so great! You have to do this if you are headed to Buenos Aires!! The host Belen is gracious and so fun! The Ladies who teach the Asado(we loved Cami, Lola and Clari) are so knowledgeable and gave great tips on preparing the Asado! I loved getting to know the 12 people we ate with and hope to return to do it again one day!’

An interactive and authentic asado experience in the heart of Buenos Aires! Belen and the girls were a delight. The 'asadora,' the girl who made the barbecue, walked us through every step of the preparation and even encouraged us to participate while enjoying a marvelous glass of Argentine red, just like Argentines do. The products they use are all top quality; they use the best meat and cuts available, but the best part is the experience itself. Forget about going to Parrillas. The Asado Experience is the real deal, a family-style, warm Argentine gathering. I recommend this place to everyone who wants to experience Asado like a true Argentine.

What a wonderful afternoon! My boyfriend and I went to The Asado Experience, and had such a fun time - the team are so lovely and it felt like we were hanging out with friends :) The meat was delicious and really high quality, we loved the Catena Zapata wine and learnt so much about preparing a proper Argentine asado. As a woman, I particularly enjoyed the fact that this is a female-run and female-owned business. If you're lucky enough to meet Belen (the founder), ask her to tell you the story of why she started this business. It brought me to tears. Lots of love to Paloma and Clara as well, they are both very knowledgeable about asado and super fun!

Belen and her team make for a wonderful and warm experience, interesting for foreigners and locals alike. Connecting through and around such a deeply rooted custom as the asado in this country, with people from other countries and their stories. The Argentinean ritual as protagonist, uniting cultures around the fire sprinkled with the best malbec. More than an asado, an experience. 100% recommendable

I had the most wonderful time at the Asado experience! It was about so much more than just learning to grill like an Argentine, this experience felt like we were invited to a friend's house to enjoy great wine, great food and wonderful company. Set in a beautiful herritage courtyard! I like how the girls are taking over the grill! The founder and her employees are committed to breaking down that macho grill barrier! Thankyou Clara

We had the most incredible experience with Belen and Zelmi at the Asado Experience. The food was incredible, the atmosphere magical, and the opportunity to meet fellow travelers in such a great setting was priceless. Anyone who sees this review should book right away! You would be missing out otherwise!

We had a great time at the Asado Experience. We spent a memorable evening experiencing a real Sunday Asado and getting to know some nice people. The food was delicious and Zelmi and Belen were great hosts.

My husband and I absolutely loved our Asado experience. Belen’s house is lovely and her team including Lucia were expert, gracious, and wonderful teachers and hosts. It’s the best dinner we have had in terms of the quality of food, wine, and conversation. I would tell all my friends this is a must do for anyone visiting Buenos Aires.

Being married to an Argentinean, I never needed to do Asado myself, but always wanted to learn. I picked Asado experience instead of learning from my husband turned out to be a great idea. The whole process was flawless and neat. I love how Belen (the host and founder) neatly arrange the Asado from lighting fires to presenting the meat to the table. She was able to cook, teach, and chat with all the guests throughout. Because of that, I am quite confident of doing Asado myself, and I can’t wait to give it a try and show my husband!! Overall, the meat was of course marvelous; the presentation was sensational; the atmosphere was warm and lovely! These made one unique Asado experience!

  • 5/5 Nathalie Jennersten G. 2 years ago on Google
Very very nice experience. All the typical Argentinan food you could imagine, we learn all about the different cuts of meat and how to manage the fire. Great for an event with friends. Thank you Belen for a beautiful evening and location.

  • 5/5 Isabel S. 2 years ago on Google
Highly recommend! I love how Belen brings people together and create this unique experience. Aside from delicious food, you learn l things like how to start the fire, and knowledge about the materials. There’re lots of wine too and the dessert is amazing. I really love it.

We are back home after an incredible first trip to Buenos Aires. Reflecting back on a week of fun, food and discoveries, The Asado Experience by far rose to the top of our memory list. This is not your typical cooking class; it is a once in a lifetime opportunity, where you are invited to share in a uniquely authentic experience in a local Argentinian home by a local asado expert or asadora. We love to make food at home and were looking to bring back some new skills in the art of asado-style grilling. What we got was that and so much more - Belen is the ultimate host; it is impossible not to adore her from the get-go and a treat to spend an evening in her company. We not only devoured premium cuts of the highest quality, we also devoured up her life stories growing up in Buenos Aires. We felt truly hosted and welcomed to an intimate dinner party with a close friend. The evening included the food making of course, but also ample culinary tips and tricks, exchanging stories of our different cultures and experiences, and advice for the rest of our trip. Belen taught us about the best grilling equipment to use, how to assess the readiness of what we were cooking without the use of thermometers or cutting into it, how to adapt the grilling to a stove or oven, how to season the food, preparing homemade sauces and what sides would be served in an Argentine home. She treated us to delicious, premium wine from the region, and we finished the night with a very local, sweet treat. No detail was overlooked; she takes the time and care to source the finest ingredients locally and the evening is meticulously and thoughtfully planned and executed, from the order and sequence of the courses to the spacing to allow you to properly enjoy each different cut. We felt like the experience was truly unique and tailored to us, our interests and our tastes. We couldn't stop talking about the evening for the rest of the trip and even now on our return home -- we've already bought some of the same cuts back home and are excited to test what we learned. If you are in Buenos Aires, we highly recommend an evening with The Asado Experience. You won't regret it!

Anyone visiting Buenos Aires should book this experience. Belen, the proprietor, hostess, and grill master/mistress is warm, wonderful, and takes you on a terrific three hour journey. From how to light the coals and wood to how to make the Chimichurri, from how to season the meats to how to check the temperature of a tenderloin without slicing or poking, you learn more than you can imagine about Asado. And the food…the food is exceptional. The best cuts of meat, the freshest vegetables, and all served with a lovely Malbec (take the upgraded wine option!). Experienced outside on the patio of a lovely Buenos Aires home, with help from Tessie and Olivia, this was an evening we will never forget and hope to come back for again!
