I used to go here all the time, but I never will again. The service is always painfully slow. The owners are nasty, horribly unfriendly people. It boggles the mind that they even work on hospitality. We were overcharged for our 1 hour SUP session, then when we did pay the amount they asked for, she conveniently forgot to give me my €10 change. When I brought this up to her, she started arguing with me again saying I had made the mistake (I didn't). Then finally realized and gave it to me. No apology, nothing. Definitely would not recommend. There are better, friendlier boat rental places in Eppendorf that I will happily choose over this place from now on.

I've been here 3-4 times, in my past 5 years in Hamburg to rent kayaks and have some beers afterwards. I'm now considering coming with friends again, but the bad experience of the owner is still with me. I've now seen that others have had similar experiences and it's apparently a returning issue from multiple customers. Seems like the owner has a pattern of bad behavior and/or bad service. I would really like to come back, but I'm starting to get reluctant. Last time we were there, we had rented kayaks for most of the day and paid a lot of money. Afterwards we then went for beers in the sand and the owner then came shouting at us, because we had placed our bikes in his way. There were not really any others at this time and he could just have asked us politely to remove the bikes, but apparently he seems to have a temper. We got into an argument, because he stood at the other side of the restaurant shouting at us. I then just gave up after a couple of minutes and we left the place. He could easily had sold multiple more beers and food to us, but instead we left. It's super sad for such a nice place to be ruined by bad service and a temper from the owner. And it's sad for the people who work there because they are very nice and get affected by this. You now have been warned from another unhappy customer....

Relax place in Hamburg alsterdorf. Cocktails canoeing kayaking paddling aperoling... directly at the Alster river and 1km to the lake.

It was my first time visiting to rent a SUP board and unfortunately I probably won't return. When my friends and I arrived, the male owner was on the phone and his female colleague tidying up behind the counter. Neither made eye contact with us or acknowledged us in any way. Eventually the woman looked at us and rented us some SUP boards. She seemed quite unfriendly and unwelcoming. When we arrived back 1hr later to return them, she gave my friend the wrong change and overcharged her by €10. Everyone makes mistakes of course but this woman was immediately defensive and began arguing back. When she realised she was in the wrong, she returned the €10 without any apology. If you go here, check your change carefully! I would like to note that the young man who helped us with our boards and did a quick demo was really friendly and professional. He kindly explained everything for us in English, which was appreciated.

Took a while to get served at the counter, but overall cool beach vibey spot, great for a sunny day.

It's a really nice escape for a day trip with vacation vibes. Food is good and they also offer SUP & pedal boat rentals.

This is a splendid beach bar location to hang out and chill at the water of the river Alster in beach style furniture to summer vibes music. Just take your shoes off, relax and watch people and moments floating by. You can chain your bike to one of many nicely crafted iron-and-wooden bars, there are around 20 spaces for cars. Fancy food and many drinks are fine if you have patience.... You can hire any kind of canoe, kayak or SUP boards or pedal boats that are well tended and clean. But you definitely need to obey the rules to this location: - no smoking on the beach seats - no dogs - don't bring your own SUP boards (except from the water side to stop by and consume and then move on) All of these rules are clear and make sense - and the omnipresent owner is not always happy to constantly remind customers of them and thus sometimes is a little rough.

I strongly recommend them. The service was super, you can pay with card and everyone was really nice. Thank you for the experience! We will definitely go back!

We had a very nice team event there! We went through the Alster canals on dragon boats and that was a lot of fun. The people there are very competent. Then we had our party in the location. The food and drinks were top and the personnel very nice!
