Went here on a Wednesday evening and surprisingly got a table as usually it’s very busy. Complimentary tea, salad and dessert was offered to us. Service- Firstly, I would like to show my appreciation to the waiter who served us and everyone downstairs on his own. Amazing and friendly worker. The chefs were all working extremely hard and bringing out perfect dishes one after the other. Food- phenomenal! For the price, flavours and portion size… I was in awe when the bill came and it was so affordable for what we got to share as a couple. Just look at the size of the naan! Atmosphere- family friendly, have sitting area upstairs where you can sit crossed legged and share a meal as a group. It can get very busy downstairs as there is limited seating.

Traditional floor eating or tables available. The chapli kebab and kabli pilau is delicious. The lamb karahi has no taste just full of tomatoes. Compliments tea and kheer given. Overall it's nice just need to clean the rooms and fans in rooms as we had to turn fan off as it was blowing dust.

This place gives a homely feeling of being able to sit & eat comfortably. Food was delicious which is another reason I'd come here again. Staff was helpful and cordial. Mango lassi is a must try which I believe very few people in this area know how to make it the way it's supposed to be made.

Good food and reasonable quantity. Busy during weekends. The waiter was trying to have us order more items. Upstairs sitting area get hot and need proper ventilation.

We came to this on a Saturday night, it was really busy, but they prepared a table for us within 10 minutes which was really good, the restaurant itself it’s abit outdated, they could change the design abit it would make it more welcoming. The workers are all very respectful and kind people. The food was truly amazing, really tasty, I’ve been to many restaurants in tooting but definitely namak mandi is one of the best out there. After food they gave us a sweet dish and tea for free, which was very nice. Overall really good experience, I recommend everyone to visit this place if they are in tooting

This halal Afghan restaurant is very different to others. Downstairs there are tables whereas upstairs you can sit down on the floor and enjoy your food. Went here with my family and the service was amazing, great hospitality along with excellent food. Would recommend this to family and friends any day

This is a traditional Pakistani/ Afghani restaurant. We got a room where we ate food while sitting on cushions. The lamb was very good (both curry and shanks), as was the rice, Naan and salad. The food was fresh and flavourful. We also got some rice pudding for desert and soda pop to drink. There are 3 stories, downstairs is very tight as the staff are coming and going but they were all very friendly, careful and never bumped into anyone once. The first floor had tables to eat on while the 2nd and 3rd floors have designed traditional seating areas with private rooms too (I'm not sure if there are tables up there because I didn't see)

Exceptional food! The Afghan-style sitting on the floor added to the authenticity and comfort. The private sitting area was spacious and perfect for families. Highly recommend!

This restaurant is a hidden jewel, i only gave it 4 star because of the location. The food is well prepared and delicious, I was not expecting much, but with the first bite of that Lamb Karahi, man it was really good. I was assured it is halal. The large bread and rice were also exceptional. Thank you so much

Ordered lamb karahi, chicken karahi, kabli pulao & naan Service was very fast Not a fan of mandi but loved the rice of the kabli pulao, white sauce, & naan. Lamb karahi & kabli pulao dishes use lamb beef cooked in a way that would melt in your mouth but the lamb smell/taste was too strong for me

It was our first time in South London and we decided on eating at Namak Mandi. We came in on a Saturday evening and it was very very busy, I can see why! The food was very tasty and fresh. 10/10! We were sat in a floor seated booth upstairs with was a lovely experience. Highly recommended the kabuli pilau and the charsi chicken with naan. 👌 The free tea and dessert (also 10/10) was a very thoughtful touch, too. Much appreciated! The workers are very hardworking and respectful. I wish your business all the success and barakah, ameen.

My absolute favourite dish is Kabli Pulao, and let me tell you, this restaurant in London really knows how to make it stand out! Not only is the flavour absolutely incredible, but the portion sizes are so generous. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the fact that they actually give out free dessert and Afghan tea. Can you believe it? It's such a delightful British twist that I absolutely love! 🇸🇴

We went here for dinner and sat in one of the private rooms upstairs. Food was delicious, mixed grill was great, curries were tasty (a bit spicy), rice was excellent and so was the bread. Overall a really nice dinner. My only feedback would be to clean the area and refresh it more as the upstairs room did not smell great which can get in the way of enjoying your dinner .

The best qabili pilau in London. 1 large portion can feed 2 adults, 1 teenager + 2 children. Limited space and strongly advisable to make a reservation. Dont forget to try the tea before leaving. CASH ONLY.

It's always great to come here and try their tasty food but horrible service Extremely occupied and hardly give any attention towards customers. You can't even call them to book the place. It started getting expensive a lot and the worst part is Cash only!

Authentic taste of Namak Mandi from Peshawar especially there Mixed Grill & Charsi Tikka taste like Nasir Charsi Tikka from Peshawar (Juicy & proper cooked) . Also, there Karahis and Chapli Kebab are luscious & adequately spiced. Great hospitality service from Shafiq & Haqmatuillah.

There is a small seating area downstairs and it's so smokey because of the open kitchen area behind the counter. My eyes were burning by the end of the meal. The smells the burning the banging and chopping is really disruptive and spoils the experience. The food took a while to come which is fine it was piping hot but the large mixed platter, which we ordered, was dry and the seekh kebab were so hard, chewy and dry. The naan was huge which was great but I did not enjoy the food so would not revisit sadly. Bonus you do get free ground rice pudding, but it's not creamy it's just milky lol. The service is excellent the waiter who served us was great he was so good with us, he packed our leftovers 8n a heartbeat so bravo to him !👌

Not what we wanted :( kabli pilaow was cold, too much curry sauce (water) in our 1kg lamb 🐑 karahi, Service wasn’t good enough Food quality was below average Would never go again. Chapli Kabab was just ok 👌 Namak Mandi is just a name else it was no way close to that …

Best Pakistani/Desi food I've tasted in the UK so far, hands down. Standard for every other food place set now. Would recommend kabuli pulao 10/10!

Wonderful food, everything was very tasty, well cooked and fresh. The portions are decent, the meats are tasty and the fresh (gigantic) naan was a great compliment to our mains. It got super busy at one stage and the smoke from the grill was everywhere but they have great air conditioning that’s taking care of it. Fast service and a complimentary dessert. What not to love?
