Great way to spend 3 hours. Fun non cardiovascular band workout that isn't boring. Only downside for beginners is your forearms become very sore quite quickly. We went in a group of 3 which worked very well allowing time to rest between climbing and belaying. Cost around $35 each for entry and to hire the shoes and harness. First 30 minutes or so is taken up with a safety briefing but after then your free to have fun on about 50 different climbs. Would recommend a membership if you're local.

This place has been around for ages - an oldie but a goodie. Great challenge for young kids to adults, with short walls for those testing the waters with how high they can go to a good challenge for the more experienced climbers. The staff were exceptionally helpful and were super attentive looking out all the time (awesome job indeed!). The induction at the start is important for first timers and once you get going you can easily spend a good 2-3 hours just trying different walls. Prices are very fair and reasonable ($35 for adults, with harness and shoes as part of the cost), with small discounts for students (comes down to $26 - at the time we went). Definitely a great experience and a fun day out with the family to get everyone away from the screens! Ideal for small birthday parties, kids/youth events, or just grab your climbing buddy. The car park in front is pretty small so park in the street if you’re looking for spots. Can’t wait to come again. See photos below for quick overview of the whole place.

Great staff, very friendly. Depends on the time you go as they can get extremely busy. They have many different courses of varying difficulty levels.

Kids were here for a party, harder walls than other climbing centres, but staff were great at encouraging everyone. Event room was well equipped.

Went for first time with mates who are more experienced. Busy but staff went through the beginners safety drill and managed well considering. Earlier in the evening full of kids and young families but it cleared out at around 8.30, decent variety of difficulty and a great workout

Awe inspiring climbing centre. Friendly, and helpful staff. Plenty of variety in walls to suit beginners, to those people who can hang upside down by a nose hair without any tears.

feedback - bouldering section could use upkeep on some of the mats where gaps occasionally appear, also where it seems to be quite open to the outdoor carpark. Otherwise, good training/fun gym, very friendly and helpful staff, has some high walls, bouldering section, and lead climbing problems as well. See a lot of seemingly pros train here as well as complete newbies - beginner friendly zone and plenty of advanced challenges too.

The price is reasonable. For people who are not aware about rock climbing there is an induction session provided at the start, which is really helpful. Our trainer Sam really did a great job, he explained the concept very well. He was really patient and kind, and he was was there to help and explain when we are in any doubt. The staff were exceptionally helpful and were super attentive looking out all the time, they will come and guide you if you are going wrong.(which is absolutely required) A must visit place to try something new.

I recently took some private clients here. The staff weren’t very on it. I witnessed many near misses of other climbers, putting my clients at risk. The staff were distracted. The routes and holds are old and tired, the kids didn’t enjoy themselves. There’s a terrible smell when it gets hot. Whilst at the gym I witnessed a woman, assuming she was in a management position, I believe her name was Sue, she was speaking so horribly to staff. She was condescending and manipulative. I was appalled. The vibes in here are so wrong. Not like they used to be! Find another gym.

Great welcoming staff helpful for beginners and 10-14 yo kids

Good for height climbing for beginner adults and kids (6 and 10 y/o). Helps to give confidence at height, and good exercise. Like the routes (grades 10-14). Staff are great. Like the fact there’s no auto belays so everyone gets used to more useful manual belaying. You can get a coffee but there’s no food - because it’s focused on climbing and safety :-) Toilets could do with reno (20210703).

Visited this place for the first time and was extremely impressed with the staff and the set up of the walls. There is something for all levels of skill to climb in my limited opinion but we thoroughly enjoyed the visit. The initial training on how to set up the ropes etc was very easy to understand and we were climbing in no time. Definitely recommended this place for few hours of climbing enjoyment.

I had tried multiple climbing studios but my experience at Hardrock Climbing Nunawading was the best experience ever! The staff was amazing and very precise and attentive, their introduction was the best I had ever seen! Tiffany and Adam were both very friendly and they all made a memorable experience for us. Took my 8yr old son for a first proper climb. Fantastic facilities. My son has special needs, the young lady that welcomed us and did the tuition was amazing. I couldn't thank her more! Highly recommended!!!

Have been a member at this climbing club for 4-5 years; have enjoyed every passing minute. I highly recommend the climbing programs for youth aged 12 and up, it serves as an excellent step-in to the climbing husbandry. I started in development, and worked my way up to performance level, meeting many friends, important people, and fantastic staff along the way. Even when I don't feel like climbing, the people there serve as a great incentive to go along anyway. Special thank you to Lucy, Joe, James and Jordan if they see this, they have made climbing extra enjoyable for me. :)

I have been climbing here for a bit over 5 years and the staff is always lovely, after I have gotten to know the staff they always greet me at the door which is always awesome. There is a wide range of climbs available to all, and plenty of challenging climbs for more experienced climbers. If you do lead you should definitely come here the roof climbing here amazing.
