This place is dangerous - It took me 2 weeks to get heart medication updated on the patient access system that was prescribed by a hospital, you can't call them - only use a online messaging system that is open sometimes for less then 30 mins a day, you can't even send administrative messages that can be queued and dealt with later in the day. Nobody responds to emails, often they pretend they called you when you have no message or missed call and close out the request, so you have to wait another day before you can re message them. They should be shut down.

The receptionists I've spoken to have been helpful - the post-appointment procedures quick and efficient usually too. I would like to complain about a receptionist called Kanta however. Having waited on the phone for thirty minutes, she told me to go online or to a library to make an appointment. She was rude and it seemed quite obvious that it was because I'm a relatively young white woman. Update 2023; having asked a GP about weight issues, she unbelievably suggested I get BARIATRIC surgery! Lifestyle changes? Diet? No, no - why don't you cut your stomach open and have the fat sucked out? This is from a doctor. Outrageously malicious and irresponsible, with once again, a palpable tinge of racial intent.

This place is so badly run people are probably dying. Email - They will tell you to phone to arrange an appointment. Never answers the phone - after ringing over fifty times. Receptionists - condescending when I went there in person to get an appointment. It was only when I caused a scene and refused to leave did they agree to phone consultation the next day. Moved to a different GP who are great.

I just called the Stanmore Medical Centre and a woman called Anisha picked up the phone after 20 minutes of waiting. I asked her to make an appointment for me as the doctor said that I needed to book a telephone appointment. She read the message that was sent to me while I was on the phone with her but she conveniently missed reading the part which said make a telephone appointment. Instead she trivialised my medical condition and said it was not urgent despite the fact that I did explain to her why I did not ring earlier. She refused to make an appointment for me and asked me to pop in the next morning to fill out a form. I had to ring again for the second time to get an appointment request. Now, why is this woman not monitored and managed? Why is she allowed to behave in such an awful way? She did this after 12 pm . Did she behave in such a poor manner because no was there? I think that the practice manager needs to have a word with her. She is unhelpful, arrogant and rude.

This place should get 0/5, quite possibly the worst place ever and I’m shocked they’re still running. It needs a whole new management process in place as no one is capable of providing good customer service here at all. The phone lines are absolutely ridiculous. Calling for a blood test is a nightmare and can take hours, the phone line is always busy and then cuts you off and when you do get through you can be caller number 1 but still left with an hour wait to speak to someone, and going in person is another nightmare, this place is completely run down. The worst staff and the worst procedures are in place here. This place needs to be shut down or changed as soon as possible.

Doctor asks to see you in 4 weeks but reception can’t make the appointment. They tell you to use Klinik 2 weeks out to send any message or make appointments yet it’s only ever available until ‘it reaches capacity’ from 9am and usually not available after a just few minutes. Not a problem if you can be online at 9 but many of us work. Just another way to push us all to private doctors . Shame on the practice and whoever replies to messages without reading the issues experienced. I now risk having to stop my meds abruptly going against the doctors advice.

Such a awful service…I am taking care of a 88 year old mother in law, who can’t speak any English, and she had a mental health issues, she had a phone call appointment on Tuesday 24 may, I waited for 2 and half hour for mental nurse to call me but she didn’t, even call.. I called the surgery about 10 times but with out any joy, the nurse finally called me after 3 hours to say she was starched and couldn’t cop with the demands and she would call me the following the tue on the 31st may, but no phone call yet, and no apology…the worse thing is the surgery receptionist said she can’t do anything as she comes from outside and uses the surgery to see patients

What a terrible Doctor's surgery! Now you can only book a doctor's appoint by filling a stupid on-line triage form. Then you sit and wait for a day or more(still waiting) whilst who knows who is looking at this silly form to decide whether you are worthy of a call, let alone an appointment. Absolute terrible service! They should be ashamed of themselves taking tax payer's money and providing such a rubbish service! Only giving 1 star because I cannot choose less than one.

Im shocked to read all these negative reviews I haven't got anything bad to say about the receptionists. Yes their phone is buys sometimes, but at least we still have NHS, unlike the Americans. Just put your phone on your speaker so you can do other things while you are waiting in the queue. Dr. Hommel has to be the kindest and most caring GP i have ever seen, he listens to his patients, doesn't rush you, and he explains everything so well, he makes you feel you have been heard and he goes above and beyond to make sure his parent is properly checked. He really is credit to NHS and to this clinic.

Unable to book an appointment unless you have 30 seconds at 9 am while the system is active to use their Klinik booking system, blink and it is unable to be used until the next day. This does not help shift workers. This surgery and system are the worst I have ever had to endure.

I am afraid one star is too good for this doctors surgery.its impossible to get through to surgery via telephone and their website for online enquiries just says temporarily disabled all the time.

I visited a dermatologist through my insurance and got a routine bloods done ( it was something I requested from my dermo and she had nothing to do with the diagnosis) I called the gp surgery to book an appointment as the blood results were not up to the mark and required further investigation. When I told the receptionist about my visit to the dermo and getting routine tests she tells me that ‘ Oh so we pick up the pieces for you’ . I was shocked! Offcourse you do! That’s your job mate. That’s why the government takes taxes from the public so that it can provide services when needed. What do you expect after keeping us waiting in a queue for ages and then treat us like you are doing a big favour. I really hope non of your loved ones have to go through this. The system is falling apart and we are stuck here! Really shameful. Sadly there is no zero or negative star option.

Terrible, have been trying to book a smear test for over 6 months. Can't contact them about anything because I have a job and so can't be online at 9am to fill the form in before it's closed, which it always is by the time I have my break at school. Absolutely ridiculous, I'll be dead before they get around to helping. I don't know if it is just this surgery or healthcare in general but something is massively broken. Reception staff are also extremely rude and insensitive, having made members of my family cry when they have life threatening conditions and needed medication, which wasn't getting done. They should be investigated.

Hopeless... absolutely hopeless. I logged a request via the Klinik system to see a GP. Received a call from Anisha (receptionist) who setup an appointment for me to see a GP in Pinner (5 miles away) on Sunday morning. Received a text message confirming the appointment at Pinn Medical Centre for Sunday. Arrived at Pinn Medical Centre on Sunday and they have nothing on their systems regarding their appointment. They are fully booked and ask me to re-arrange with Stanmore Medical Centre. Even they roll their eyes when I mentioned Stanmore Medical Centre - so I guess this isn't a one off. In summary then, a 10 mile round trip on a Sunday morning to not see a GP. What's the point of a confirmation text when they never actually log the appointment on the other system. I have more chance of winning with a National Lottery Scratch Card than getting through to the Stanmore Medical Centre on the phone. Really tired of trying to engage this GP service.

I cannot wait until I can move to a different service. I have been trying to organise my prescriptions for months now but due to the god-awful online services and refusal to book over the phone - this has simply not been possible. If you can register elsewhere, do so. An add-on: I have never heard of a GP surgery that asks you for the details of when your menstrual cycle started when registering - felt totally unnecessary and honestly a bit creepy.

One of the worst GPs around. One cannot get appointment, telephone is 90% time busy, rest 10% when you get through the messages is too long to connect to reception and then the chances are all the appointments are gone. Our experience with the receptionist here were rude all the time, as if we are disturbing them. When you visit the surgery there are hardly anyone at the waiting area. There Online site was terrible to use. But the same can be achieved via nhs111 service. what's the point of doctors if they can't see a patient. As the surgery is unable to handle the volume, we have to visit A&E. My Personal thought - if these type of Surgeries continue to exist, A&E will be overwhelmed by the surge of patients.

I called today at 18.27 hours, was told by the automated system I am next in the queue, I waited 28 long minutes in the queue, checking their website to see what time they close, and website say 7.30pm! So I thought let me hang up, and call again... well the surgery is now closed ais the message I got... at 18.57 hours ! I am absolutely furious at this... what ifneed urgent help from the surgery... horrendous service to say the least! No consideration for this, clearly they are just out there to make money and calls... those poor elderly is who I feel sorry for!!! Dont even get me started about their online booking system... shambles and a joke! Takes 10 mins just to request a follow up appointment! It would be better if they closed this down and allocated resources elsewhere ... this is not the first time.this has happened either... my poor elderly parents struggle to get through to the reception. And not to mention how rude the reception staff are !!! Certainly.not.emphathic or helpful.... please be kind and atleast get thisnsortdd. I am not at this surgery thankfully but unfortunately my parents are. And the GP surgery I am at... I rarely struggle to get through to reception on the phones... and they actually treat you like a human being!

I was feeling quite unwell and under critical condition therefore I called my GP. It is impossible to book an appointment with a doctor and also the receptionist “Kanta” was extremely rude, wouldn’t let me speak and whilst I was speaking ended the phone on me. When I called back she said that there was a long que that she had to get to. Absolutely disgusting!

I'm afraid it was 5 star 2 years ago for me with Dr Gould Dr lakhani and Dr peters. Unless something drastically has changed or staff change but in 45 years today was my worst experience with the phone conversation with the receptionist. As enquiring about my pending appointment. How rude

would give negative stars if I could, receptionists are very very rude, the new online system shuts off after 5 minutes and the gp phone is always busy one time i desperately needed an appointment so I went to the gp while I was poorly just to book the appointment and the receptionist (Trisha) was very rude to me, constantly arguing with me that I had to book online, I told her I had tried continuously but it was saying I had to wait until the next day and I wouldn’t have come in if I could do it online she then kept arguing with me and looking up the time the system supposedly closed for the day (she said it was 10:15, it wasn’t for me) instead of helping me book appointments for me and my father

The Stanmore Medical Centre’s service has worsened and is appalling to say the least! A request for my 6 year old son was submitted just after 9am with no follow up. I had emphasised of his ear pain/ache on their online service AND called prior to this to be greeted by a brash receptionist! This is a young child in pain and a Dr was unable to see him?! We had to go into the surgery after midday, persisting to see a Dr and then they hesitantly made an appointment at Belmont for 6pm!

This doctors surgery is a joke. Receptionist is disgraceful. Asked for an appointment she said go online I said I can’t go online she said she would take a note. I said should I change surgery because I know other surgeries are giving appointments like normal. “All surgeries are running like this I told you i would fill out the form for you” I explained I am not really comfortable sharing my sensitive medical details with someone “suit yourself then” and hung up. That is absolutely unacceptable and so unprofessional. Furthermore I can’t go online and do it because the service is down!! Will be looking into other doctors surgeries now.

Since when did receptions have the right to start telling patients that there are more important patients than you.when did they become doctors. I was told That a doctor would call when they have time. I put in a request for a call back approx 30 hours ago and still waiting. I’ve never had a problem with this surgery before and I have been with them quite a few years.

As mentioned on many other reviews, trying to reach the reception by phone is almost impossible. They now have a new online booking system which has improved things a little, but it can be a bit annoying at times when you need to speak to someone on the phone. Still, it's a massive improvement to what it was previously

I would give less than 1start if I could Honestly I never understood when people would complain about their local doctors surgeries. However now I get it. Things have drastically changed since Dr Gould and and Dr Lakhani have moved on from Stanmore medical centre. The head doctor now being Deborah Peter is not good. The duty of care for patience is no longer there. It would seem that things have to get to a much more extreme place for help. I take no pleasure in having to go to the doctor so if I go to the doctor it’s because I have no other choice and have exhausted trying to do the best I can to get better. Honestly the new booking system is problematic. You have to go online to REQUEST an appointment to which then a doctor replies but you can’t reply to that message from your phone you have to be sent a link and that’s if they remember to send a link as if they don’t you have to do it again but this access to send a request is open only for a short period of time so if you miss it you must wait for the best day to start the process again. If you call reception they just tell you we can’t help you have to do it online Honestly it’s exhausting. I have had no response from the doctor still to this day after sending over the info that they required. The jumping through the hoops for help constant delays are just too much. I feel I’ll need to find another surgery I know a lot have their problems but this surgery ultimately doesn’t make me feel like they have real regards for patient health. That’s been lost with the exit of 2 the doctors mentioned above. We say seeing the doctor is free but we pay into the system and should be able to get to see a doctor and there should be a duty of care. This feel like business pushing aside who they can. Finding a doctor online is expensive and I can’t afford to do that after all we all pay into the system with our national insurance. I would say look for another surgery if you can before signing up here

Would give 0 stars if it was an option. On receiving a message via the NHS app to requesting me to book an appointment I phoned the surgery. The automated message said I must book online - but also conflictingly said that you can no long make appointments online. I tried anyway, and of course, their Klinic service was unavailable until the following day (as it has ben the last 4 times I've tried to use it). So I phoned the surgery, after 20 minutes of waiting, I was offered an appointment, almost 3 weeks away and nothing sooner. I informed the receptionist that I am out of the country on that particular day and back early the following month (only a week and a half later). She refused to book my appointment for then, claiming that she cannot access the diary. I will have to call back then (and likely have to wait another 3 weeks for the appointment) that I was requested to make.

Stanmore medical is by far the WORST Surgery , ALL staff are extremely rude and unhelpful, every time they make mistakes with prescriptions and always delay requests ! They can’t even rectify nor help with their own mistakes. Waiting time is diabolical! 40 mins waiting time to be called by doctor! I have to come with my kids and they make us wait for up to 40 mins. So unorganised. Their clinic system is rubbish also. Inside looks and smells like death! Please at least spend money to give it a refurb. As I sit here waiting there has already been four disputes with receptionist in the last 30 mins. Yes I’m still waiting the time is now 13.07 and I have Been here since 12.40.
