A very lively spot overlooking the hill. The colourful atmosphere makes the food taste better for sure! Ordered spicy tuna and roasted potatoes - a wonderful combination. Price is just right. Servers and people are so friendly that even though I was there by myself, I didn’t feel alone at all.

A really nice place with a great view, good food, and along with good service. What pushed me to give 3 stars, is the fact that the receptionist insisted that we go and sit on the first floor. While leaving, we noticed that on the open space area they had nicer seats with a bigger variety of local dishes...and cheaper options. If we initially had that explanation, we might have gone with the same upper place... it wasn't a nice gesture from the receptionist.

This is the second time I have been here on my second trip to Lisbon. I would recommend it to anyone who would like to relax and enjoy the ambience, as well as the amazing view. I have been told to go at sunset, which is supposed to be even more spectacular. The upstairs dining area was very nice. I enjoyed a white sangria this time as well as the chocolate pot, dessert, shrimp, and a few other appetizers, because we were eating our way through. Lol. Highly recommend! Say hi to Isabel for me, she’s a treat!

Loved it. We were a party of 4. We all loved our food and our friendly server. The view was amazing. And we got to see the sunset from where we were seated. I would highly recommend this place. I also liked they don’t have a long menu so easier to decide. Ask to be seated upstairs. Make reservations early not to be disappointed.

Great restaurant with a beautiful view of the city. Wonderful Portuguese food, very kind and cool staff. This place is a circus performing arts school, so check their website in advance if you want to enjoy their spectacles while dining. Highly recommended

Amazing place, with perfect views to the city, the whole atmosphere has artistic cultural vibe. Big place with different areas, bar area, dinner area, outdoor terrace… The staff is really nice and friendly. A MUST to visit visiting Lisbon.

Place in a great location with an amazing view. The queue is usually long so i would advice booking a table earlier. Delicious starters, I honestly recommend the cheese board. Main dishes were not amazing for such a price. Desserts on the other hand were very good. Unfortunately waiters were a bit distracted, maybe it was caused by a large number of people in the restaurant. In general I highly recommend it, but you have to be prepared for enormous costs. Minus for the short menu.

Lovely theme and amazing view! The shrimp appetizer was surprisingly good! Our table had a pork, cod, chicken, and tuna. We loved it all. Great service as well. The story of this restaurant is also very lovely. Make sure you ask your server to tell you about it 😊

They have a limited menu in the upstairs restaurant that doesn’t look as good as the downstairs menu, so we asked to move. The food was pretty tasty. The shrimp was particularly good. Overall, a great experience.

We took a tour of Lisbon and after a walking tour, helicopter ride and a river cruise, we needed a break. Our Uber dropped us off too soon but it was for the best as we discovered this place. Great view, great food, Isabela was a great server! Had the steak. Our group had a little of everything. Well worth it!

The service was painfully slow. I recommend you look at the menu before and know what you are going to order. The staff was very kind and they were so busy. We were lucky to stumble into this place and get the gorgeous view. While they don’t have a vegetarian main dish, the sides make for a great combination. I had a bite of the octopus and it was delightful. Come hungry, be patient, and kind to the staff.

What an awesome location to enjoy some delicious Portuguese food. We didn’t make a reservation and were quite lucky to find a table—but right after we were seated, the place got super crowded. So rather make a reservation to ensure you have a lovely dinner here. We got the octopus and steak and they were both super tender and well done. The fries tasted like double fried and simply perfect. It was my first time trying green wine and I can say it tastes really good. We enjoyed the caramel pudding and the chocolate mousse and these too were simply on point. There was simply nothing to complain about, it was a great dinner and the atmosphere was very beautiful. If you make a reservation you may even get one of the tables with the ocean view. The service was very fast and the waiters are super kind and friendly. Really happy to have found this restaurant!

This place is unic. Al the dishes we had were just great. The place itself has a soul. I want to highlight the attention of Marta who was always smiling and gave us the best recommendations such as the octopus and the pineapple desert. If I ever come back to Lisbon I will definitely be back to the place for another meal.

Slightly expensive but good views. Wine was fantastic. Upstairs with the best views was closed but at least we sat at a table with the lower view. We were full and satisfied!

Surprising and friendly atmosphere! There are 2 restaurants - the ground floor with typical Portuguese dishes and the 1st floor with dishes by a chef. Very cheerful staff, great food and wine, outstanding view over Lisbon. A bit pricey and no vegetables on the main dishes. Still we enjoyed and want to return.

Gorgeous views and delicious food. Such a unique place, would recommend a visit even if you just get a coffee and some codfish cakes!

Henrique and Isabel were EXCELLENT staff! They went above and beyond! As a tourist, I had a lot of questions about the menu and they were very patient with helping me understand. The fish (sea bass) was delicious as were the sweet potatoes!!! I could not believe how different and delicious Portugal sweet potatoes could taste! The chorizo was a bit too salty for me but the wine Isabel recommended was amazing! I took a photo of everything so I can remember to order it next time! I did not have the pumpkin soup but it looked amazing paired with my food! She is very knowledgeable about wines! I highly recommend this restaurant!

While on the expensive side (45€pp for drinks and dinner) the view in this restaurant is unmatched. Food was tasty and well presented, personally recommend the tartar and the tuna steak. On a Tuesday night it was not too busy and the atmosphere was very relaxed.

🌟 Tao's Google Restaurant Reviews 🌟 I've been here twice, first time in 2022 and second time recently in 2023. I've tried both the upstairs and downstairs restaurants which have different menus and different kitchens. The first time, I fell in love with this restaurant because we had the octopus and grilled fish which tasted delicious. I would say that it was a great introduction into octopus dishes in portugal. During that time, I would have easily given it a five stars. However, on my most recent visit, I ended up eating at the downstairs restaurant because the upstairs didn't have the octopus or the fish anymore. I ate with my family downstairs and they were able to seat us fairly quickly. Atmosphere was great, views were great and looking over Alfama, great for a date night out or dinner with family. We ended up ordering the octopus, beef steak, chicken, and salads. The asparagus and avocado salad was pretty decent. The beet salad was a bit unremarkable. I would probably not recommend going with any of the salads really. The steak with gravy was all right. I would say the octopus was the best dish out of what we had ordered. Chicken was a bit dry. Overall, ended up spending 130 euros for four people, and the octopus was the only one that was pretty good. Otherwise, the second time around, I felt less enthusiastic about the food compared to other restaurants in Lisbon. This restaurant is okay, though not in my highest recommendations based on the pricing and value. 🍲Food: 3.5 🧑‍🍳Service: 5 🍴Atmosphere: 5 FINAL SCORE 4

I thought this place was a great find. My food was very good, the wine our waitress recommended was fantastic and the view really adds to the place. It was a nice relaxed boozy lunch. Lovely sunny day and very quiet, we went off season, perhaps it can get hectic in the busy months which explain some of the lower reviews but I really had no complaints, it was all brilliant and I felt the prices were fair also. If a place is bad I don’t review, I review the places I’d like to re visit and I’d definitely go back!

I only give 3 stars for the food as the hot appetizer mushroom dish I ordered was served cold, I suspected the waitress took it out to me not realize the chef had not done with the dish yet. After one bite, I need to ask to heat it up. The atmosphere and decoration of the restaurant is excellent. The night view is amazing. So 5 stars.

Fantastic service and a beautiful place with amazing food, great drinks and a unique view of the city! We celebrated a birthday, it was such a beautiful atmosphere for this special occasion.

Beautiful views!! The food was really good. We split the piri piri chicken (plenty of it for 2!) and then got 2 desserts for the table. My favorite was the cheesecake. For the patio menu, I would suggest arriving when they open for dinner so that you get a table with a view of the sunset (not shown)

This was the first restaurant we tried once we arrived in Lisbon and we were pleasantly impressed. The octopus with sweet potatoes were delicious, the salad portions were decent, fresh and very tasty. The view is breathtaking from their restaurant. Highly recommend!

I can hear it in English, but I am a Korean who is not good at speaking. The first time I went, I liked it so much that I wanted to go during the day the next day, so I made a reservation at 4 o'clock. But dinner start 7 o’clock So she said Do you want us to make a reservation that the seats we want are So I said it's okay because I didn't know if I drink until 7 o'clock, but she said, you don't understand English, right? Chinese? Japanese? If I work in the service industry, wouldn't it be right to ask where are you from first. I came here because I liked Lisbon. Don't make me hate it. Keep in mind that you can be the face of Lisbon if you work at that store.

Great views from some tables and very good service, the food is hit and miss though, I found my traditional fish main course very bland but enjoyed the cheese platter and the squid.

As others recommend, show up on the earlier side for your table that outlooks the water for a wonderful night out. This was one of my favorite meals in Lisbon by far. The stars of the show were the peri peri chicken (I cannot recommend this highly enough!) and a side of veggies (surprisingly flavorful). My husband got the steak, which was also delicious. I was in awe of this meal. The photo of the water was the view while we waited for the restaurant to open.

Awesome view, with nice staff, cozy place with a lot of seats. The only reason the food isn’t 5/5 is because I had to salt it, but apart from that it was amazing.

This restaurant has one of the best atmospheres in Lisbon. The staff is so friendly and helpful. A small menue which makes the food even more delicious. I had the sparerips, which tasted so delicious. Defently a five star recommendation.

This is a hidden gem! Our friend recommended it to us and we are so glad we went. We had a beautiful view to accompany the really fresh seafood. We had the garlic prawns which is a must have and shared the grilled whole fish. The food was so good I forgot to take a picture of the fish for this review! The staff are super friendly and helpful, price point was 👌🏼

Great location with a view , great food , reasonable priced considering location and the great food. Service is very pleasant and casual so be patient. You don’t go here to eat in a Hurry and should enjoy the experience. Recommend you make reservation from google as tends to be busy at peak times. We had no reservation and we got in around 20 minutes which was not bad

A good find (albeit full of tourists) just close to the central district of Lisbon. Book well in advance to avoid disappointment for tables, as you can get a great sunset view of the Bay Area. Food is immaculate and lives up to the price and other reviews. Atmosphere is very romantic and was a great way to spend our final night in the city :)

Located near the castle, this is a great place to go when the sun sets. Lovely views of the city available at some tables. Staff is friendly and easy-going. Food is excellent. They had a short floor show by an acrobat. Fun stuff.
