Very good restaurant in Alfama, Lisbon. We tried two octopus and they were really good and well cooked (it's not easy to make it good). The octopus was served with backed potatoes, that are fitting good to them. Price are good with TheFork discount, otherwise they would be quite expensive for the city. You can also find Portuguese beer. Fast service. I recommend this restaurant.

Wonderful restaurant & owner in beautiful Alfama. We arrived very late and were treated very well. We had amazing tapas and wine. Thank you

Lovely spot for dinner. We sat outside and recieved great service. The food was delicious! The tuna and octopus are both musts. And the flourless chocolate cake + sangria are pretty important to do too!

One of the best restaurants is Lisbon. Beco a Sério is located in the middle of the neighborhood Alfama, a quiet neighborhood with a lot of locals. The staff is super friendly and will give you a warm welcome on your arrival. The food is typical Portuguese and it's absolutely amazing, this is for sure a place to recommend. The price isn't expensive and in my opinion I would even pay more for the food they serve. It's accessible by Taxi or walking, Ubers and other transportation company's are not aloud in the street but they stop around 50 meters from the restaurant. Reservations are not necessary but recommended to guarantee a table (specially for a large group ), the restaurant also has a few tables inside for those that do not want to sit outside.

Nice staff, good service. Shrimps were delicious. We had codfish with cornbread and potatoes and loved it! don’t forget to try their lemon cheesecake!

One of the best dinners ever. Such a cute spot. We had the octopus and the clams and pork. Sangria and lemon cake were excellent. Will definitely be back next time in Lisbon.

Very nice authentic restaurant, nice staff. The octopus was amazing, but a little bit greasy. We had to return the tuna steak, because it was overcooked, but then we got s perfect rare one. The pork steak was good and the eggs were ok, but I like it more moist.

Very knowledgeable about gluten and were able to adapt the octopus to make it GF. The octopus, was honestly one of the best meals I've had in a long time it was just that good. The guy working there is also super energetic and kind!

Nice and cozy place with a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately the food, although absolutely delicious, does not have a fair price for the portions served, for instance, the “shrimp with mango” starter, 11 euros for 4 regular sized shrimp or the soup that didn’t even fill 1/3 of the bowl it came in. The food also took ages to come. The aftermath of this was that i had to have dinner again when i came home.

Best squid I've eaten, and I don't usually like squid. Good fresh tuna. We ate here when TheFork had 30% off so it was very affordable. Nice man who served us!

This place is fabulous, we discovered it through "The Fork", it's that kind of "no-frills" place I love. The food is delicious, I had the best codfish and octopus of my lisbon holiday and the price it's OK, expecially if you use the the fork discount. The place is tiny but comfortable. The guys at the kitchen you see in the pic well organised and kind. Really suggested!

I fancied trying something a bit more local and glad I did, the brandy prawns, so good I had second portion for desert , and the octopus was the softest and most delicious I have had. Amazing.

It was best meal we had in Portugal for two weeks! The best octopus I've ever tried and tomato salad goes so well with it! Chocolate cake and apple cramble. Also place is so quite and cute and waiter Joam (sorry if I wrote it wrong) was so kind to open kitchen for as! Price will surprise you at the end a lot 😉

Preis-Leistung in Ordnung. Der Octopus war 1a aber das Hühnchen war naja. Ich würde in dem Laden nur den Octopus bestellen und den Lemon Pie. Dennoch kann man in Lissabon viel günstiger und besser essen.

Authentic restaurant with high quality food made on site in front of you. The starters are incredible and the main dishes are really good as well. Also the red wine is perfect to complete everything. The team is very welcoming. Thank you, I will recommend this place!

Okay let's talk about it! The food is amazing, very simple menu, a few dishes but mastered with perfection! Restaurant with open kitchen with adds cachet to the place! I can only recommend with 5 stars! The boss is very nice and provides with recommendations! Small restaurant, you feel at home but in Portugal! Muito obrigado

Had the octopus and steak, and didn’t regret anything. Cool little rustic shack off the beaten track with great service and pricing. Would highly recommend

Very friendly staff (probably the owner), nice outside and inside decor, great food, you don't need knife for the octopus, it's so soft. Prices are ok, and the wine is also good (not a lot of choice). Oh, free shots were amazing....

Prefect place for the quite and romantic dinner for the descent price. Meal was delicious, so was the wine. Service was good too.

Went there with my friends and we had an amazing time. The people at are super nice and the food was delicious. Our favourites were the octopus with potatoes and migas and the roasted goat cheese! Everything else was also super nice and is a great way for internationals to meet the Portuguese authentic food

So so good! One of the best places in Lisboa! Definitely recommend the octopus, the pork ribs (15€) and the lemon pie (4,20€). Service takes a little longer but probably because it’s always so full. If you arrive between 7-10 pm any day, there will most likely be a queue. Price is good, we paid about 20-25€ per person (main course plus dessert).

Incredibly tasty food! I ordered octopus for the first time in my life and it was really good. The chocolate cake is above any chocolate cake I’ve ever tried. I can honestly recommend this restaurant.

Local restaurant located in a cute street in Alfama. The octupus was amazing as well as the chocolate cake. The service was also very great. We really enjoyed having dinner at this place.

Truly a hidden gem of Alfama! Unusually great food (we tried tuna, octopus, goat cheese with honey, olives, and cheese platter), good wine, kind and friendly English-speaking service. Everything for a perfectly reasonable price. I cannot recommend it more!

We had to go back because it was such good and genuine food. Everything is prepared in front of you using fresh local ingredients. Tuna is unmissable and so is Veal, Vegetarian dishes and Desserts. Friendly staff made us feel welcome both times.

We found Beco a Sério “by accident” our first night in Lisbon at my birthday. With two 6year old and we needed to come back again and again. It was sooo good 🤍 thank you so much!
