Small place in a small alley in Alfama. Perfectly suited for a limited group to enjoy a vinho verde, a ginja (-cocktail) and a few things to eat before continuing your trip in Lisbon. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. I can imagine it getting pretty crowdy here, in a good way. The gazpacho was very nice and I was kind of sad not getting to try every dish on the menu. Then again, I’ve had the feeling many times during my stay in Lisbon.

Very small place with only 6 tables, 4 outside and 2 inside and so we waited for 20 minutes to be seated. Delicious food with a nice wide selection, the tomato salad was excellent and sangria hit the spot. No credit cards are accepted.

Delicious! We tried bifana, tomato salad, pastel de nata, beer, and ginjinha. Everything was amazing! We especially loved the tomato salad - so fresh and good flavor!

If you’re in the area, stop by and hope for a table. Only 4 outside and 3 inside. The front area standing room only gets full. Simple pinchos. As others have said small mom and pop run place. Prices are incredibly low and the sangria was sooo good.

Absolutely delicious food and every dish was a hit. Rodrigo and his family were excellent hosts. I wish Portugal exported more restaurants like this around the world, but when the quality of ingredients is key, that's a hard thing to do.

We stopped in here to try the Ginja, we were on or way back from dinner. The owners were so kind and inviting. I definitely see where they get their rating. The Ginja was delightful we enjoyed two each before heading back to our hotel.

A small place on a small street in Alfama, you'll be lucky to find a free table outside. There is a good variety of tapas and also cold beers! Really delicious and super friendly owners!

Let's be honest, the place might not look attractive at first sight but the food is really good. They are all small dishes, tapas, then you can try multiple dishes. They charge for everything, even for the bread and olive oil. The tables are small for 2-3 people and in the street. The only bad thing is that we wanted to have more food at 15h but they told us the kitchen was closed so we could have anything else.

This place is a gem in a relatively touristy area. Not much in the way of seating but don't let that stop you. The food, service and prices are honest and you can tell they've been slinging this great stuff for a while.

Reviewing as an english only speaker. There were quite a few negative reviews but my experience was ok. I went at 7pm on a Sunday and it was relatively empty. It is true that you need to buy a drink to eat here, but water/beer is only 1.5-2 euros, and cash only, its not too bad as long as you agree to it. I sat inside and pointed to the menu for most of the ordering, it was relatively smooth considering they do not speak much english. I got a variety of dishes and total for 4 people was only 57 euros. Great portions and great prices. I’d recommend the bifana sandwich, shrimp and sausage dishes.

Tiny local snack spot with attentive service and great food! We tried the bifana and the prego sandwiches - bifana was our favourite.

My absolute favourite spot for an authentic, family run Portuguese small plate restaurant. We tried literally everything on the menu and paid very little. Their house wines and ginja are superb. Big thanks to the owners who have ran the place 24/7 for most of their lives I imagine 🙏💚 No card payment, but def worth it.

Cheap and good. Authentic local food. The mixed meat stew (paco pao I think) was very good. Warm and filling. The old man speaks English. Very friendly.

Ate here twice on a 4 day trip. Food was excellent at ridiculously low prices. Recommend the prawns, tomato salad, and the soup with poached egg. Fantastic! Bread very fresh, beer and wine cold and cheap as you like. Will be back on next visit to Lisbon 👍

Hidden gem! Everything was fairly priced and delicious, just as if it was cooked by grandma. They serve paninis and fried goodies, together with their own home-made ginjinha. The location in very interesting, right in the heart of Alfama. Don’t expect fancy seats or anything alike, instead enjoy the view on the narrow Calçada. Very recommended.

What an amazing place! Everything here really makes you feel like home and truly welcome. Delicious food and friendly caring people. Real gem hidden in the labyrinth of Alfama streets!

One of this places that make you feel you are living a real local experience. Don’t expect any superfluous ornament, or brand new cutlery, but real local food with great quality and very affordable prices.
