Really lovely octopus and gambas! We also thoroughly enjoyed the bread and pates even if that wasn’t meant to be the highlight 🤭 the creme brûlée is amazing as well. Owners are super friendly and helped us to translate the menu in English. Homely vibe, do give it a visit!

This place is very unique with wonderful atmosphere, it's better to make a reservation in advance because it may be fully booked. The cuisine is very locally, fish, beef, sea food ect. The deserts are delicious. The owners are very friendly and the hospitality is great! Highly recommended!

Lovely little restaurant with really nice and helpful staff. Beautiful interior. They took the time to talk us through the menu and all the various dishes we ordered were delicious (with very generous portion sizes). Would recommend to everyone.

From the moment you enter you are treated like a VIP by the proprietor. The atmosphere is honest and comfortable, feeling like a quality, clean country kitchen. The place is tucked away in a quiet side street, hardly noticeable from outside, adding to it's charm. The menu is traditionally Portuguese with several yummy sounding octopus dishes and fish as well as meat. We were served crusty fresh bread rolls (in a cloth bag, how cute!) and a variety of pate, which were delicious. From the menu, I settled on the pork shank and it was incredible! The outside was crispy and the inside tender and juicy - the meat fell off the bone in glistening flavourful chunks. Highly recommended for a quiet, quality meal with attentive and interesting staff.

We had a super lovely dinner with the family here. Such nice and forthcoming service by João and Alexandra, the owners, who provided us with a whole hand drawn map of recommendations what to see in Portugal as well as amazing food. We had various delicious dishes and great house wine (the red was full with tannin‘s and flavor, sooo good), but especially the roasted octopus was the best I ever had. Tender like chicken with a beautiful buttery sauce, the perfect amount of garlic and perfectly cooked potatoes with spinach. Wow! Also the atmosphere was just so homey and comforting, making me want to come back every day. I hope to return and explore the menu further! (Note: A reservation is definitely recommended. They are very busy and space is limited. However, we called at 7pm and were able to get space for 4 at 9pm the same night)

Run, don't walk to this restaurant. The food is amazing, the welcoming nature of the owner fabulous and the experience 10 out of 10. It all blends together into a melange of why we come to Lisbon. Food. Culture. Wine. Happiness. Get it all here.

Simply put: Amazing. The food, the warm service and the atmosphere. One of the best places I have ever eaten at, with the best food I ever had. Never ate an octopus that literally melted in my mouth and a pork that was cooked to an absolute ELITE level of perfection. Will absolutely visit again, next time we're in Lisbon.

This was an amazing restaurant with such a nice couple running it. João & his wife made us feel right at home. They have their meals on a cork board that they bring table side and João will recommend wine to go with your choices. If you are a seafood lover-please get the clams & the roasted octopus…you will not be disappointed! We had such a lovely time here. The ambience is wonderful. Until next time!!

Great service, very friendly owners. The food however was overpriced, you can find much better options for 40%+ less in Lisbon. All items we ordered were deep fried, heavy on batter but with only little seafood. Almost no veggies served with the meals. For this price, we had expected much better.

A hidden gem at a really reasonable price - genuine Portuguese atmosphere, this little restaurant is run by a lovely couple. Amazing mussles, octopus, shrimp, wine and creme brulee. Owners speak english very well.

Without a doubt my favorite place to dine in Lisbon. The owners are the sweetest and the food is to die for. Love the octopus, clams and shrimp. Get the house wine! He only serves one glass but always refills :)

Best restaurant in Lisbon!!! We had the mussels, octopus and smoked pork. Oh... and the desserts are amazing. Wonderful couple that owns the restaurant served us and did everything to ensure that we had a fantastic lunch. Highly. Very highly recommended. Thank you for a memorable (and emotional .. sorry for that) experience!!!

Truly an amazing resturant, went there almost by accident my first night in Lisbon and had the best Portoguese food I ever tried. The polvo asado was incredibly tender and tasted amazing. Love it so much that I immediatedly headed back the next time I went to Lisbon. The owner also made us feel super welcome and chatted with us all the time. Truly enjoyed it and hope to come back soon! Thank you João !

Definitely one of the best restaurants in Lisbon. The hosts from the region of Porto offered travel tips and was very friendly with our young kid. The service was great and the best meals were the octopus fillets with octopus rice, sausage mestballs with Portuguese rice, and veal chops.
