👍👍 A really great overall experience. Innovative food ingredients, preparation and presentation. Service was perfect, subtle and efficient. All local wines, way better than other Portuguese wine I’ve tried. Stylish room and decor. Nothing really not to like. You get a menu of what you ate at the end.... We ended one of our days in Lisboa with a magical dinner at Ceia - a 300 year old “home” that holds a “family” dinner four days a week for only fourteen guests. The dinner is all about connecting the diners to the location from the building materials of the home - to the hand-made table settings - to the carefully-prepared food on the table. In its space, Ceia invites the diners to experience the cultural, spiritual, and emotional links to Lisboa through food and drink. We enjoyed every minute of our experience.

For anyone who’s thinking of attending this... I am seriously not exaggerating when I say, this was truly the best dinner I had in my whole life. This was the most unique dinner experience, the loveliest most calming, classiest atmosphere I have ever experienced. Surrounded by all those interesting people from all over the world, these beautiful extremely well knowledged chefs, whom are all adorable and real passionate artists. No words on earth can describe the taste of the individual selected dishes. The flavour of each ingredient is an experience. The presentation of each course is out of this world. I was thinking of not going but my partner convinced me to go, I am so thankful that I was able to experience something like this and share my appreciation with these wonderful human beings. This is truly something and will always stick to my mind when thinking of Lisbon. Thank you.

A really great overall experience. Innovative food ingredients, preparation and presentation. Service was perfect, subtle and efficient. All local wines, way better than other Portuguese wine I’ve tried. Stylish room and decor. Nothing really not to like. You get a menu of what you ate at the end. No need to take notes. I liked the intimate format and getting to meet locals and visitors who like innovative fine dining. If anything was off, the venue was a bit hot and stuffy. While the wine was local, the food couldn’t been more so, or maybe told how it was. Highly recommended. Fair price for the experience. Book well in advance. Take the wine pairing, the non alcohol juice option was good too.

I've dined at numerous high quality and Michelin starred restaurants over the years and I can say that this is the best yet. The food and the paired wines were outstanding. However, the concept and the story behind the food, with each course introduced by the chef that prepared it, added that extra dimension. You are on one table of 14 (only 8 of us on the evening we dined); English is the common language of the evening. There is a sommelier and a host that help break the ice with all the guests. The sommelier, of course, will introduce each wine with each course - so you get the double whammy of the chef and sommelier describing what you are about the eat and drink. There is only one menu. You don't get to see it until the night, albeit they did cater for one vegetation on our sitting. And the theme revolves around the food produced at the owner's farm (in Southern Portugal). So the menu will be seasonal. The wines were all Portuguese including some that are not available for commercial purchase. All in all, an outstanding evening - the best food I've ever had in a unique setting. I cannot recommend highly enough.

The experience at Ceia was so wonderful and warm. This was our family’s first shared dining experience at a communal table. Not only did we learn about food and wines, we also learned to share joy and laughter with new friends. We really enjoyed every aspect. We highly recommend the experience. You will not be disappointed! Thank you, Alexander, Mario, and Pedro, for making our evening so memorable!!

We loved everything about our dinner at Ceia! We had a very warm welcome, got offered a glass of wine while being told about the history and vision of the company. They own a farm and currently they are using 60-70% of their own product in the kitchen, aiming for 90% in the future. Our group consisted of 10 people. It was our first communal table experience and we really enjoyed it! There are 8 moments and you can either choose wine or non-alcoholic juices to pair them with. The sommelier was not present at our dinner but Eric did his best to fill his shoes. The wines were great and some very unique but I had better pairing experiences before so to me the highlight of the night was the food. We had a great time trying to figure out the ingredients amongst us and the chef came by to reveal them later on. The chefs were so passionate about food and I really appreciated the unpretentiousness of the whole experience. We spent 3 hours at the dinner table but we could have easily stayed longer. Although there were 8 moments, we did not leave too full or drunk. It was a special night that we'll remember for a long time and hopefully we can repeat soon.

What an incredible dining experience. The food was absolutely exceptional and the service was top tier. I can’t recommend this place enough. I will definitely go back here again. It’s worth flying all the way back to Lisbon just to be able to eat here 🫶

Had dinner here with good friends, Evo made us feel welcome and at home. Dinner was amazing and the conversation with strangers at the table was an experience in and of itself.

The pictures don’t do it justice. Just… try it out. The food and the story behind it: marvellous. The host will let you feel at home the moment you step in. It’s a whole experience but be prepared to stay until around midnight.

My family just spent two nights in at Santa Clara 1728 and we were blown away. The rooms are world class. It is located in a great part of Lisbon where you can walk to many fun places. The staff is spectacular. They make you feel at home and are so helpful. I have told many friends about this wonderful boutique hotel.

It feels slightly gauche leaving a review on Google Maps about this experience, when I feel it would be more appropriate to send a hand written letter of thanks. This is the best shared dinner you will ever be invited to: gracious and warm hosts; perfectly pitched and paced series of seasonal dishes with a firm eye both on both place and pleasure; expertly judged wine pairings, and all with passion clearly at the fore. I’m not the most outgoing person but I established a ready rapport with those sitting next to me at the table. It was almost like the guest list had been vetted (it hadn’t). Oh, and last but not least, the devastatingly handsome head chef is a grace note on the experience, rather than (too much of) a distraction...

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at Ceia on the last evening of our stay in Portugal and it was the perfect way to end our trip. The food was truly special and not one dish missed the mark. The passion behind the cooking and the attention to detail in presentation did not go unnoticed. Don't skip on the wine pairing with your meal, it is a great opportunity to learn more about Portuguese wines. We have been lucky to dine at many highly rated restaurants around the world, and Ceia is definitely in both of our top 3, and it surpassed the 2 Michelin starred establishment we visited while in Lisbon. If you're looking for a unique and memorable dining experience Ceia is a must visit.

The moment you enter Ceia your majestic evening begins. You are greeted by the Sommelier, Mário, with a welcome drink, which was a very lovely sparkling Rose. You are then guided into a beautiful courtyard garden, where Chef Pedro will introduce himself and serve you an amuse bouche. Next, you will head back inside to your seat at a single table, which seats 14 strangers from all ends of the world together. This truly made for a unique experience, with conversations, laughs, smiles and many emotions shared by all together. The wine pairing is curated by Mário to support, enhance but never dominate the flavours of each of Chef Pedro's incredible 14 dishes he presented us. Each wine and each dish came with a story. Ceia will evoke emotions and play with all your senses by it's demonstration of pure passion, love, joy and commitment to it's guests pleasure. I highly recommend booking your experience, as it truly deserves at a minimum a single Michelin Star, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was awarded two. If you have managed to read through all this I would like to add one last comment, which to me puts Ceia in a whole other class of restaurants alone. I was bitten by a bug on my face and neck at the beginning of the night. My wife noticed that I had a bad reaction to the bite, which she was extremely worried about, and asked the Chef for help. Moments later came the Manager with an antihistamine and also tiger balm. In the middle of preparing a tasting menu for 14 people they stopped what they were doing and raced to my assistance. Thank you Chef Pedro and all the staff at Ceia for giving my wife and I a truly unforgettable experience!

A wonderful experience, and one of the best meals of my life. The evening began with welcome drinks in the garden, allowing the guests to meet one another, and then proceeded to a table that can seat 14, though we were only eight. We were then guided through eight courses by Mario, the sommelier, and the chefs themselves. Other than seafood, all that we ate was sourced from farms owned by the restaurant. The food was uniformly excellent, a feast for the eye and the taste buds. The wine pairing was exceptional and an opportunity to sample some rarely seen wines. I was told the juice pairing was also superb. The staff were warm, attentive and very friendly, and made a memorable evening even better. If I ever visit Lisbon again, Ceia is on my list.

My husband and I were recently married at Santa Clara 1728 and we were lucky enough to enjoy a wedding dinner prepared by the Ceia team. We were completely blown away by the artistry of the food and the care they take in selecting ingredients. This place is an absolute must for anyone traveling to Lisbon!! Thank you Ceia

This closed door restaurant is a unique experience. This is not appropriate for unsocial guests as there are max 14 guests at the table. You must be on time as the doors close. It is a very intimate experience like you are welcomed into someone's home. Our hosts was soft spoken, knowledgeable about the fantastic local wines paired with each dish, and told a story throughout the dinner. All dishes were exquisite small plates, with local fresh ingredients and beautiful presentation, delivered by the chefs simultaneously. The flow of the courses was perfect and the vibe in the gorgeous space was relaxed, elegant and subdued. It helps to have good dinner conversationalist.
