It’s been almost a year now and I still think back on my experience dining at A Nossa Casa with the biggest smile on my face. I'll admit, this review is quite late - but the fact that I can still remember everything so vividly is just a sign of how much of a positive impact the experience had on me :) Dining at this restaurant was on the top of my list when it came to things I wanted to do in Lisbon. I was sadly unable to think ahead, and forgot to reserve a table for my family and I. However, we arrived around thirty minutes before they were set to open - and found ourselves unknowingly chatting with one of the owners! She kindly informed us they were fully booked for the day, however, that we should come back right by the time they open and they may be able to give us a table. Spoiler alert: they were. And I am so happy they were because this was the best dining experience of my life. All of the courses were so beautifully thought out and made - and oh my gosh were they delicious. Also - the warm bread and butter are divine. Everyone who works here are just the warmest of souls - and you feel like you are temporarily adopted into the family. It's honestly unfair to the other restaurants I have visited and will visit after A Nossa Casa - because none will ever compare. I again want to extend my warmest of thank you's and love to the beautiful family and staff behind this restaurant - your hard work and effort are truly treasured and appreciated. I am so lucky to say I have dined at A Nossa Casa - and I encourage everyone to be able to say so as well :)

Such a good restaurant. We made sure to reserve a table a couple days in advance via the phone which definitely paid off since it was full house by the time we got to the restaurant. The service was also amazing - the best service I have ever received from any restaurant before! All the staff were extremely helpful and attentive and they certainly elevated our experience at our restaurant. The food is slightly on the more pricier side but all the dishes were amazing! I’d definitely recommend getting the bread, and the tempura octopus but all the other dishes were amazing too. The staff also made sure to explain what ingredients went into every single dish. Definitely not an over-hyped place!

Highly recommend the pumpkin and sweet potato gnocchi was the rock star dish for me! I didn’t have a reservation and it was Friday, but I was able to get a table.the restaurant was empty when I arrived, but it was a full house after I placed my order. FYI knock on the glass door, not the wooden door. It was not that obvious for me and I was trying to figure it outside lol. Anyway, the staff are super friendly and awesome. They made me feel like I was visiting their home. I never felt rushed and they love to chat, but not overbearing. For me it was all about the gnocchi! The plating made me excited about the dish. Wow… first bite slapped my tastebuds awake with its complex layers of flavors. Not sure if I should have started with this dish because it set my expectations high for the rest of the meal. The pork ribs were tender and good, but i lived in Texas and it felt like it needed a little something… corn or batatas. I ordered the mushrooms plate for my main dish and was dissatisfied. I felt that the dish was muddled and the purée did not go well with the mushrooms… I would suggest to avoid this dish. Overall I highly recommend… the vibe of the restaurant is enhanced by the staff and food that made it feel like I was visiting friends.

Do not miss the exceptional chili oil steak tartare. The chicken skewers on naan were great as well. For the mains, we especially enjoyed the sweet potato and salsa pairing in the octopus dish, and the pork neck, broccolini and xerem dish. The basil and almond mocktail was surprising and delicious. Friendly and attentive service. Make sure you make a reservation in advance.

Wow! Last meal in Portugal and it was delightful!! MUST GO. Reservations by email or pop-in. We honestly got lucky to get a reservation for a Saturday night. Don’t wait until last minute. From service to food - amazing. Owners are lovely. Place is meant to share food. We got bottle of wine, 4 cocktails, couple of cokes and water, 6 dishes, and 2 desserts for 3 People and spent 150ish euros. All dishes were amazing! Would do over and over again and recommend to all.

Wow wow wow, a fantastic find in the crazy streets of Lisbon. Food was incredible, offering seasonal small plates of fine food. Had a wine recommended and could not fault it. The bill came at the end and we were shocked - extremely reasonable for the quality, service and amount we ordered. Make sure you book before going as it gets busy quickly!

So delicious! This is one of those places that you could really pick anything on the menu and I feel like it would turn out delicious. Even the things you may not normally like or are skeptical of. We tried the anchovy dish and sardine dish (among others) which some in my group were not huge fans of going in and everyone loved it. The staff was so warm and welcoming and the price for what you got was superb. I truly cannot wait to come back. This will be one of the places I recommended to any friend that visits Lisbon.

Enjoyed the food and the restaurant was really packed! Beef tartare were in big chunks and went well with blueberries which gave it a burst of sweetness. Pork was also really tender

One of the best dining experiences I've ever had. We loved it so much that we went back two days later (reservation in advance is needed!). Everything from the conversation in advance to the dessert was amazing. The concept is that the meals are shared, so for two people, we ordered four plates and then a dessert. Every plate on the card was explained to us with so much passion that we already loved it before there was even food on the table. The food was outstanding, many nice and fresh ingredients, everything was perfectly cooked and presented nicely, so it was a pleasure for the eyes and the mouth. You can feel the high quality of the food and you get many not-everyday-ingredients. The two charismatic owners and their staff do everything that you spend a great evening there. Only eating in this restaurant again would be worth coming back to Lisbon again! Definitely a recommendation!

Good food and original dishes. Great selection of wines. The waiter was very friendly and explained us the menu very well. The cod was tasty but a bit heavy and with little fish. The pork was good and and a good portion. The bread was delicious.

The best meal we have had in Lisbon this trip. The prawns and oysters were delicious, the chicken was moorish, the beef and cod were perfect and the pork was the best we have had in years. The service was amazing and the owner was welcoming, warm and made dinner more than just dinner, we felt like guests in her home. Thank you again and to peace and happiness in the year to come

This restaurant has quickly become my favorite spot of 2023, and that's saying a lot, considering my discerning palate. The service here is impeccable, with a friendly and patient staff that adds to the overall experience. But it's the food that truly steals the show – it's beyond delicious! Every dish is a delightful surprise, even something as seemingly ordinary as sourdough and pasta. I can't wait to return in the near future. If you visit, the beef tartare and Iberian pork are absolute must-tries, the best I've ever had! I'd highly recommend pairing your meal with wine by the glass, as they offer a diverse selection, each one unique and outstanding. Now, a heads-up for those interested in dining here: reservations are only taken via phone during specific timeframes, but trust me, it's worth the effort. We had to make three calls to secure a table a month in advance, ensuring we got the coveted 7:30 pm slot. The restaurant closes at 10:30 pm, but be prepared to find eager diners waiting outside for walk-in chances – although they are limited, as it's a cozy 25-seat restaurant. But this is how they maintain the exceptional quality of their food and service, so it's definitely worth planning ahead.

Really good surprise for our first night in Lisboa. The humble entrance didn't allow us to expect such a terrific experience. While the space is quite small and intimate the decoration feels really warm and the great service makes you feel right at home. We were amazed by the modernity and the finesse of the food, such subtlety of the taste ! It felt like fusion cuisine, the equivalent of a semi gastronomic in France for half the price. We particularly recommend the pumpkin and sweet potato gnocchi with coriander paste that blew our mind. The daily special cocktails were really balanced and really well paired with the food. Special thanks to the waiter who was both thoughtful and professional. If you're looking for a place to enjoy fine dining in a chill way, this is the place for you !

Was skeptical about the high score and thought it might be a tourist trap but the friendly greeting at the door continues through the entire service complimented by fantastic food and wine. We were surprised at the interesting combinations and would highly recommend this for any folks seeking an inspired take on Portuguese cuisine.

We wanted to eat at a special restaurant to celebrate. We made a reservation because it was fully booked 2 days ahead. So glad we did make a reservation! Staff is exceptional, the dishes are unique and have brilliant flavours, the cocktails are made with a lot of care. Very special place, definitely worth the reservation! If you like shared dining with a glimpse of fine dining, you’ve come to the right place!

An amazing intimate dining experience, the food, drinks and atmosphere really reflected the owners ambition of creating a restaurant that feels like eating with friends. This is not an expensive restaurant but provides incredible value for money and stunning dishes and drinks. I would highly recommend a visit but book well in advance as on our visit they could have filled the restaurant twice just on the walk ups they turned away. A gem of a restaurant.

We were so lucky to have walked in and be seated in this cozy incredibly fun place! It was packed and lively. Service was extremely friendly and took our waiter’s recommendations from beginning to end and couldn’t have been better. Every dish we ordered was delicious and I literally felt at home with the owners taking charge of everything that was going on. Thank A Nossa Cassa, well deserved reviews for such an amazing place!

Don’t be misguided by the price of the dishes. They are very small and the waiter recommends you to share it with your vis-à-vis and try about three or even four per couple, so to make sort of a Michelin experience. The food is great though, and the wine is good. The service and atmosphere are fantastic.

Call ahead for a reservation (you really do need one) you do not want to miss this place! Incredible experience run by a husband and wife team. A combination of a love for food and perfected technique makes this the best meal I have had in Lisbon. Staff are all super knowledgeable and friendly and the ambience is just right. Can not wait to visit again!

Incredible food! 110% will go back. Important to make a reservation because they are usually booked and do not take walk ins. They usually have their phone lines open from 3PM to 6PM for reservations from Tuesday to Saturday and I would say call at least a week in advance to make sure you get in. It is family style so depending on how many you are, their concept is to order multiple plates and share everything. They have extremely fresh cocktails as well. For something delicious, different and refreshing I would definitely recommend their basil cocktail. Extremely fresh food, friendly staff and an all around amazing experience to sit, enjoy good food and company. It’s not somewhere you go for a quick in and out bite. Definitely worth the visit!

Amazing food! Everything tastes perfect and blends very well. Yummy! Went there for my birthday dinner and had a great time. The staff is very welcoming as well. Will definitely come back again. But: you should reserve a table, I think they are mostly fully booked.

This was our favourite meal that we had in Lisbon! The restaurant feels very intimate and has a great ambiance, all of the dishes we ordered were amazing (especially the octopus), and the service was perfect as well. Highly recommend this place, make sure to make a reservation, we made ours via email about a week in advance!

What an experience!! The staff was very forthcoming, also the concept of the restaurant is very original - sharing meals is a nice way to be able to try out different dishes. Each dish was explained to us and was brought separately, therefore everything was very fresh and warm and we didn’t feel rushed while eating. We would especially recommend the seafood dishes - very delicious and made with love. The atmosphere was very cozy and the restaurant was tastefully decorated. We would definitely go there again!

Antonio and his crew are extremely welcoming, felt as though we were good friends for years. The food: Just amazing! Sharing is suggested, however it is really hard to do so. Each dish better then the one before, paired with a delicious white port wine and a caipirinha … mmmhhh … strongly recommendable!

This experience was just amazing. I was lucky to get a table, the evening was full of reservations (so make sure you get a table beforehand, I was alone and quite early for the dinner). Service was very kind, attentive, owner (I guess) explained every meal o to me, got me tips how it would work together and matched perfect wine pairing. The food itself was just as amazing. When I got sourdough bread (which was soft and crispy at the same time) I knew I chose the restaurant well. All the courses were full of flavors which complimented each other. Go and try it, you will not be disappointed. When I am in Lisbon next time, I will come back for sure. Hidden gem of a restaurant!

Everything about this place oozes style and grace. The staff are all extremely knowledgeable of wines and the dishes, they’re friendly and approachable, you’ll feel like part of the family. The music is perfect and just the right volume, the space is understatedly cool and the food is absolutely splendid. The prices are right and the service is amazing. Thank you to all the ‘Our House’ staff for a lovely evening.

Absolutely amazing experience and food! As soon as you walk in, you are greeted, seated, and treated like family. The “shareable” idea is genius because we got to try the croquets, chicken, cod, and gnocchi! It was perfect for two. The espresso martini my friend got was also fabulous. Highly recommend a reservation or coming right at 6:30 to be seated.

Amazing gastronomic experience! Highly recommend Difficult to find a place like this in such a touristic area. Do call a couple of days in advance and make a reservation cause they are full every day, and for good reason! The food was super fresh and cooked to perfection. I tried the oysters, the grilled prawns and the fried octopus and everything was superb. Oh and for sure start with the delicious sourdough bread with butter and romescu sauce, could not get enough of it. Cocktails were also great, so highly recommend to book this restaurant for a fun night out. The atmosphere is really cozy and the music selection is thought out and helps in making the experience even better. What I enjoyed the most though, was the service. I believe is a family owned business and you can tell they really love what they do. Really happy to have visited this restaurant and looking forward to come back as soon as I’m back in Lisbon

We had an amazing meal at A Nossa Casa. 5* food at very reasonable price, lovely atmosphere and friendly family service. We went with our 4 and 6 year old daughters who were treated like little princesses and even got a dance with the wonderful owners at the end of the night. Best meal we had in Lisbon and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending.

This restaurant is divine, I would visit Lisbon again just to visit this restaurant. The food is perfection, every dish far surpassed all expectations. We had a beautiful freshly baked sourdough appetiser, for starter we had the steak tartare, chicken skewers and a carrot dish. For the main we had the Pork. If it was socially acceptable to the lick the plate I would have! The service and atmosphere were perfect. Credit to everyone involved in the running of this restaurant. I can honestly say it’s one of best restaurants I have ever visited. Thank you

Super nettes & engagiertes Personal. Mal was anderes & sehr zu empfehlen!

The most memorable meal I had in Lisbon, delicious modern Portuguese dishes served in a sharing plate format. The food was expertly executed and the flavours were paired masterfully. Service was warm, attentive and informed. I left thoroughly satisfied.....don't forget to try the cocktails as well! Booking is essential.

We had an amazing experience at A Nossa Casa during our stay in Lisbon. Excellent food and the service is also great. They explain every dish and they let us try out the wine before ordering a full glass. I highly recommend the green bean tempura and of course the octopus!

When you are in Lisbon go there! We just grabbed the last free table at 7 pm. We had an amazing dinner at A Nossa Casa. Everything was absolutely perfect 😍🤩 Five ⭐ Nothing else to say!

Book a table or queue early.. They have a few tables for walk ins. Lovely atmosphere and great waiters. Big problem.. The kitchen is very slow. For three sharing dishes we sat 2h. We would have had two more but didn't want to wait another hour. Maybe ask them to bring some dishes together. I'd recommend them to serve a bit faster. This way they wouldn't need to turn away lots of people.. And something about the playlist. Most people are tourists.. We don't need to hear classics from Swedish Abba or Italian Eros Ramazzotti.. I'm sure there is contemporary cool laid back Portuguese music that would round that experience. Food.. Very good

Amazing food and cute interior - highly recommended dinner spot in Lisbon. My favourite was the pumpkin gnocchi and the pork belly. Need to reserve a table - booked one for a Thursday night 2 hours before the opened

Yes, this rating is absolutely justified! Being there is like joining a familiy event, ful of honest recommendations and very nice service activities by ALL people there. The best part is the food. Authentic ingredients and - let´s say lightly different - presentation represents the local cuisine and a certain freshness that gives a wonderful mouth experience… all dishes served to share. we enjoyed our stay very much and would like to thank the google community because without the perfect reviews we would never have found this place, hidden in some tight alleys inside Barrio Alto…

Probably the best meal I’ve ever had in Lisbon! Every dish just amazed me again and again…this fantastic meal started with some bread and their special butter sauce which was fantastic. We then had ribs, pork neck, and beef cheek rice which were all super impressive!! Highly recommended!!!

Hands down my new favourite restaurant in Lisbon. Each course is so well thought out, fresh, flavourful and interesting to the pallet. Favourites were the deep fried cod and beef tartare and interestingly enough, the bread and butter. This is definitely a place to sit and enjoy a full night of culinary perfection over a bottle of wine (or two).

One of the best experiences of my life! It was perfect all they way. The owners were amazingly friendly and sweet people together with the staff, and the food, the conversation and the ambient there were also all incredible. Can't express how much joy I had eating there. We ordered 4 dishes and a wine and it was enough to feed me and my girlfriend and to make this an amazing foodie experience. We had the couvert, tuna, tartar and pork and we recommend them all, specially the tartar if you like some spiciness

We've been in Lisbon for a week and just found A Nossa Casa. This is the best food we've had in Portugal. The staff are very attentive and help you choose the right courses for your table. The food is beautifully plated and tastes phenomenal. The cocktails were creative and delicious. This restaurant provided an incredible experience at a fair price. I highly recommend making a reservation as soon as you can, you won't regret it.
