A vibrant food market. Good selection of different restaurants. Everyone seated in the centre with the restaurants around you. Busy but not long to wait for a table. I went for a burger. Dirty fries and onion rings. Glad I did. It was amazing. Onions rings to die for.

I highly recommend if you're here for the first time in Lisbon and that it. No need to be here second time because food and drinks just decent. You'll see a modern food here and you probably see only tourists in this place. This place is busy almost impossible to find tables if you here more than two. Lifelike feel here but also kind of hot and uncomfortable in the same time. Good for quick eat or lunch time but absolutely not for dinner.

Wow! As much as I'd love to see more variety and more authentic Portuguese cuisine here, I really enjoyed visiting Time Out Market in Lisbon. So much so, that I ended up visiting two days in a row on my 3 day stay. There are lots of options to choose from in terms of food. I'd love to see more vegetarian and healthy options though. They are cash-free which still worked great as you can buy a card for $1.50 euros at the info/time out shop and refill it if you have cash only. Definitely would agree that this place has some of the best eats! Aside from that, the ambiance is great too. I'd love to come earlier next time to visit the traditional side of the market.

Wonderful culinary experience! It’s a must visit in Lisbon! Great food! Great drinks! Amazing atmosphere! Nice people! Definitely a place to come back every time you are in Lisbon. There are plenty of choices for any kind of food, very good red wine, best beer in town, you must try it!

Time Out Market Lisbon is a vibrant feast for the senses, a place that pulses with the energy of a food lover’s paradise. The concept is brilliant, bringing together a diverse mix of culinary styles under one roof, reminiscent of the grand food markets of Barcelona. The ambiance is bustling and full of life, making it a great spot to soak in the local atmosphere. While the overall experience was enjoyable, the flavors of the dishes I tried didn’t quite meet my expectations. They were good, but I anticipated a bit more punch to match the hype of the venue. Nonetheless, Time Out Market remains a must-visit for its dynamic vibe and the sheer variety of food offerings.

What an amazing place. I visited during a weekday afternoon and the place was packed. It didn't take us too long to find seating for 4, but you'll have to be vigilant as open spaces don't stay unoccupied for too long. It's a busy place, so if you prefer quieter/slower paced places, this might not be for you. There's a wide range of restaurants to choose from, so there's something for everyone. The food was great and I would love to return to try more. The market is in a large open space, clean and nicely decorated. Bathrooms were reasonable. It would be difficult to keep tidy with so much volume, and it shows. I'd certainly return again, given the opportunity.

Time Out Market Lisboa is a food court, a glorified version of it. So you should set your expectation accordingly. The food court is not meant to rival the restaurants in terms of food quality. It's an assortment of diverse food options at an introductory level. In that sense, Time Out Market Lisboa does a wonderful job. Not only they exceed the standards of food court, but this particular branch probably outperforms ones in NY, Istanbul and beyond. If you have 5+ hrs layover at the Lisbon airport, I strongly urge you to explore Time Out Market. Because they have a nice collection of all the good food in Lisbon. A very good one. Once again, food quality and service do not match the restaurants' but it does the job as a food court beautifully.

Come hungry! Time Out Market is amazing! I was overwhelmed. I couldn’t eat everything. It’s worth visiting everyday! I can’t wait to return. I ordered 2 drinks from 2 different bars. Fish and chips, and oysters. I was traveling solo and couldn’t finish all my food.

What a concept! Exceptional organization, delicious food, I couldn't decide myself what I want to eat because I wanted everything!!! Every single stand looks so good, dishes are shown so you can see how the dish look like. A lot of people here, it was a bit difficult to find table, but it was worth it. I absolutely recommend this place. If you want delicious food, possibilities to choose, and a big big company you should go there. I am blown away!!!

Highly recommending for people who wanted to try out all the good Portuguese restaurant brands in one place. You can find cod fish cooked in many ways in different stores and we ordered 3 types. All are delicious. The seafood rice in Portugal is different from Spain as Portugal style has more gravy while Spain is more dry. Both are delicious.

Great concept of a good ready to eat food market with lots of options to choose from. Not Covid friendly as there is no ventilation and it is usually busy with lots of people everywhere. It was very hot and stuff when we visited twice in July and it was only 75 degrees F outside. No cash, credit card only. Pizza, burgers, croquettes, sushi & more. Will go back.

I think it’s the best place to eat and spend some time in Lisbon! You can choose from plenty of little restaurants (only self service) and enjoy your food and drinks, near other tourists or locals. We tried and were very satisfied: pizza, fried squid, grilled prawns. The burger was not our taste.. you can only pay with credit card..and the access is allowed only with green pass (febr 2022).

Great location and real upbeat vibe. This is a food hall serving the best cuisine from local Lisbon restaurants. Great range of food, it is easy to choose from several kitchens and make your own special dining experience. Dining is set in a big building, full of character with high ceiling and open dining. The feel is great, casual place and easy to stay and enjoy everything from an alcoholic drink to fine dining meals. Burgers, sandwiches as well as local delicacies. Recommend highly.

Food lovers' dream! There were a variety of food, drinks and dessert choices. It was busy but we managed to find seats. Reasonable prices. Services we're pretty quick Food was delicious, however, it was either warm/cold. I was expecting it to be freshly cooked and hot. Overall, it was lovely! I definitely would go back to try out the other stalls.

This place is worth a visit. The energy at the market was incredible. A large selection of food and beverages to choose from, and more importantly they were good. The seafood rice from Pinoquio was tasty and full of seafood. The amount surprised me, there were 3 large chunks of lobster meat plus a lot of shrimp and clams. I heard that the burger from Ground Burger was also amazing, even the bun was soft and delicious. I visited at the end of November so while the market was full it wasn’t packed. Going during peak season might be a different experience although that may also just heighten the energy level! Prices were reasonable for what you get!

Love the time out market! Wide range of delicious food and drinks and a bustling atmosphere - what more could you want? We tried a range of the stalls and each one was flavourful and a decent price. Time out have done all the hard work by souring the best restaurants in Lisbon for you so you can turn up and enjoy yourself with guaranteed good food. It’s extremely busy so finding a table can be hard (especially if you’re a bigger group) but people are constantly leaving so keep your eye out. Wait times can also be quite long for ordering and receiving food so it’s a place to visit if you aren’t in a rush and just want to enjoy the atmosphere and drinks while your foods being prepped.

Really great idea, ideal for someone wanting to try different local dishes and not knowing where to find them! It’s open late every day which is great and the vibes are good, always lively and playing good music. It is however pretty expensive and can get very crowded. All the desserts I tried were very nice but the savoury dishes could’ve been a bit better - would recommend checking each individual stall’s reviews before trying

A good alternative for eating out. The concept of the food market is indeed well-developed here. Although with an emphasis on the local cuisine, there are also quite a few options for Italian, Asian, etc. The place is quite crowded so the process of ordering and getting food can get quite chaotic. So just don’t expect much :) The food quality is again at the level of a food market. The portions are a bit small for the price, lukewarm but still quite tasty. Time Out is a good choice for a group of friends with different preferences

A completely unique market where from small stalls an incredible selection of food and drink products of incredibly high quality made from the very best ingredients by the most talented chefs are served. Both traditional things and very experimental but all based on the Portuguese. It is primarily aimed at tourists and wealthy people but thinks that the relationship between price and quality is really good. Could wish for a little more comfortable seating.

Huge place with a lot of food. They have all types of food, pastry, and drinks. You will find for sure what you like. There is an extensive selection of vegan and vegetarian dishes. This place has two parts, one is for eating where you can buy food or drinks, sit and eat, and the second is just a pure market, where you can buy fresh berries, fruits, and vegetables. Remember that the market (not the eating section) only accepts cash. They have ATM inside so that you can withdraw the money.

I came here for dinner on the day I arrived to Lisbon. This place has a cool vibe with music and many food options. I had the whole grilled chicken and beer. Food was awesome. It might be a bit challenging for vegetarian people as there are a lot of fish of chicken options but very few veg options. Getting a table might be a bit challenging as its very crowded. So need to keep an eye for vacant places.

A neat gathering spot with a lot of options for food and a good amount of seating (although it fills quickly). It is a bit of an odd place during the Covid pandemic. It is certainly difficult to keep your distance and practice health measures. The prices were a bit high for what you get. The food options were largely upscale fast food, but their price surpassed other decent restaurants in Lisbon. It was still great and I think their price is justified by the sheer volume of clients. I would go back and try something new next time.

All communal type seating limited seating. Overall recommend it as there many vendors inside so you get to try different types foods! The food Well its down to personal preference for us I really enjoyed the Asian Lab! The food their was full of flavour. 5/5 The salmon sandwich was ok 3.5/5 The sushi place 3/5

Loved the atmosphere and variety, but some of the bars were understaffed or lackadaisical, but, the fun vibe more than overshadowed that experience. Walking the streets on a warm late summer day, my wife and I built up a thirst and I remembered reading about the Time Out Market in an architectural magazine article months earlier. With that subtle spark of memory, we found ourselves nearby the market and decided to wet our whistles with some local libations. We were not disappointed with what we discovered. Though beer was not our first choice, the ease of purchasing a beer at the self-serve taps was all the convincing we needed. Give yourself some variety and check out this market, it is sure to appease a solo individual or a large group all the same. Cheers!!!!

This was the perfect location for us because we were unsure of what we wanted to eat. We ate at this location at least twice. The salmon burger was delicious. It’s served on black bread. The store in the market had the best natas that we found. They were always warm and included a little cinnamon. This place had amazing sushi options as well which included the best rice. The drinks were also good as well. It’s a perfect location for a large group to try a variety of different Portugal food options. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the cod fish salad with beans which was served.

Is it busy? Yes. Is it touristy? Of course. But is it good…very much so. Much better than the normal over done “street food” places that have sprung up everywhere. This place has actual good food and it’s well priced. You should go, of course you should. We had roast beef sandwiches and cod fish fritters from Marlene Vieira’s stand.

Great place to come if you have a group of people that all want to try different food! It is often busy with tourists and hard to find a seat, so it can feel a little crowded and hectic but there are so many options for great food. Prices can be high since it does attract a lot of tourists but still overall a fun place to try different dishes and drinks.

It’s a cool place to check out. A bit touristy for me but I liked it. Lots places to try some food and drink. If it’s a wet day then perfect place to hang out because it’s all indoors. I preferred been outside in the good weather we had rather than spending too long inside. If in Lisbon it’s worth sticking your head in and having g a look.

Pretty clean inside and a great little place to hide from the rain or sun for a while. Definitely a bit touristy and a bit pricey. One small bao was 7€ (asian lab)but was very tasty. Spicy salmon sushi from CONFRARIA was really nice and fresh. Burger from ground burger was nice but I've defo had better burgers for 16€. The creme brulee crush doughut (7€ 🫣) and pasta de nata(1.30€ at MANTEIGARIA) are sooooo good. You could tell it was fresh as the custard was still warmish. Overall the food was good and it's definitely worth popping hour head in, the mercado is also in the same building if you just want to wander. Seats take a minute to find as there are lots of people on the prowl. Just keep your eyes peel and be ready to pounce and you'll find a seat in no time. There are stall level and lower level tables. Lines at 3ish on a Monday weren't too bad and food didn't take too long.

  • 5/5 Peter C. 5 months ago on Google
My wife and I came for lunch today. After wandering through the inside looking for seats. We realized that we could sit outside too. A quick walk on either side of the building will help you scout out seating. We ended up at Liberta. Had a lovely meat. Both pasta dishes with a bottle of wine. We will be back, no doubt. There are so many choices here.

Dined here in October of 2022 (just getting around to posting a review now) - Only good things to say about this place!!! It’s more than a meal, it’s an experience. Tons of high quality food options with wine and aperol spritz stations. Dancing and great music! Even if you don’t order any food, you should go just to experience it. The tables are bench style and you sit around with new people. You don't have to interact but it's fun to see people of so many different backgrounds coming together and enjoying the cuisine and atmosphere.

Fun fact : This is the first "Time Out Market" and it's successful that "Time Out" only gathers the best restaurants best dessert best bar best everything in this place. So just randomly pick one and you will hit the jackpot. I know it looks so crowded and you don't think you can get a seat, but there are some restaurant bar seating areas, just grab one and enjoy your meal. I love the vibe. Love the music. Love the flow of this market that I know you will enjoy everything here.

People will say this is a tourist trap but it is not. A "food court" filled with all local cuisines. I actually enjoyed this very much because instead of just eating at one place, we tried 1 dish/meal from 5 different places. A great place to get started on tasting Portuguese meals

It is a very cool concept of a very upscale food court. Lots of different restaurants, wines, and beers are all under one roof. We had some very nice seafood with wonderful wines. Then we got a flight of different ports as desert. We had a very good time. One more thing, they are cash free, so make sure to take credit cards with you.

COVID separation measures are not respected here, people is so disrespectful and security has nothing to say to that. Plus, food looks great but it tastes just normal. If you want Asian like me for instance, just go to an Asian restaurant you make sure you like. Just our experience.

I only went here because I flew in late and couldn’t find much else open in the area. Although my burger was pretty good, wildly overpriced for what it was. The place is so crowded, loud and fairly dirty. It had lots of options that were wonderful, but finding a seat even for one was near impossible, and when I did, I had to clean it myself and put away lots of plates people had left out. There’s so many small, unique, authentic places in Lisbon to try, this just feels like any basic food hall in the US.

  • 3/5 Eva E. 1 year ago on Google
I had the vegetable soup and my boyfriend had 2 Sintra pastries. Everything was nice but a bit expensive. It (the atmosphere) definitely had a very tourist-y feel to it. Was nice to have seen but if you have limited time in Lisbon, I’d pass on this one.

A food hall with a myriad of different stalls peddling different styles of Portuguese cuisines to choose from. It is an extremely touristy location and hence expect touristic prices. The only highlight here for me was the excellent Portuguese egg tarts that were €1.1, the same as with the other branches.

  • 4/5 Tenant Y. 4 months ago on Google
Frenetic, packed, busy food court with multiple vendors most of which are higher end; prices reflect this fact. Staff told me it is miserably hot inside in summer but I was there in October so the temp was comfortable. I tried several places and everything was good. Having spent about a week in that area, if you take the time to explore you can find restaurants in the area with equally good food, better atmosphere and lower prices. However, if you’re i. the area and want one place to get a variety of eats and drinks, this is the place.

  • 5/5 Brittany S. 4 months ago on Google
Such a fun place! We all got food from different booths (which is one reason I love Time Out Markets!) and got to try many different things. The food was excellent! This is a great place to go to if you're only in Lisbon a short time since you can try some of the top cuisine all in one place. The variety is definitely the reason to come here. The atmosphere is certainly better at local restaurants in and around Lisbon if you know how to look, but the convenience and amount of top local chefs all in one place is hard to beat. The outer edge is all different food vendors and the center is the main bar as well as smaller specialty bars. We tried several food options and then tried cocktails made with the local liquor, Beirao, as well as did a port tasting from Taylor's. The atmosphere is fun, food was delicious, and drinks were great, overall we loved it! It does get busy so grab a seat when you see it while others go grab their food.

Me and my partner went here for brunch after walking for miles in Lisbon and the place didn’t disappoint. Time out has a lot of food choices ranging from burgers, doughnuts, pastries, pasta and booze. We went there about 10am and surprisingly the place is not packed. Facility is clean and airy. It’s a one stop shop for tourists and locals alike if they want to try different food and drinks.

This is such a great place that have a large range of different foods all in one place, but also the food is great quality. To note that they only expect card payments here. Its best to grab a seat where you can, then go up and order your food. Very nice atmosphere here also.

Probably the most overrated place. Food is not spectacular and rather expensive for a food court style dining area. Better value at restaurants. Don’t see the hype about the place at all. Still it attracts crowds cos it’s probably highly talked about since it’s Time Out owned? Save your time, go somewhere nicer. We had steak and cod and some desserts. The desserts were nicer.

Time Out Dubai is one of my favorite spots, and compared to that market the ambience here is way more lively and upbeat (they play awesome music and have a dance floor)! Drinks selection is great (go to the kiosks in the middle), but minus one star because the food choices are lacking and are less than excellent. I recommend going for a visit when you need a casual night out, but for great food head elsewhere.

The place looks amazing! It is a mix of industrial and modern style. The food is great. The good thing is, that you can see the portions of different meals at every stand, so it is easier to choose. Prices are $$-$$$, depend on what you like. Our tuna steak had a great taste, but the portion was too small.

Enjoyed a round of wine at the Time Out Bar while visiting Mercado Riberia (Time Out Market Lisboa) recently. Bartender recommended red and green wine, both of which tasted very good. Would gladly return for another visit to this somewhat casual centre bar in the main food hall seating area of the market.

Go to LX Factory instead. I found this crowded and stressful. The food is good, I guess. But not worth the stress and oppressive crowds. I had Asian Lab Curry. They were lovely and the food was good but in DECEMBER, there was no place to sit. It is hard to find a place to sit and you are always bumping into people and it’s so crowded you cannot move. As we walked out, in the back of the market, we saw a place called Coyo Taco and a French fry place so the next day we ate there. They were delicious, no crowds and great food. I wouldn’t go to the market again. Not for me. Sooo busy and overwhelmed and the fresh fruit guys were charging so much money. Walk through it to see but go to Coyo Taco or the fry place or the soon to be opened Honest Greens in the area. Then walk to Landeau up the street for chocolate cake.

Overcrowded, overpriced but with good choice of food. If you are a tourist come here once to tick it off the list and that's it

Even though the drinks are a bit expensive, they taste extremely wonderful! The best I had over a long time. And the bartenders are also very hot!

Longest wait for a simple drink. 1 guys was literally putting away glasses for 20minutes while lots of customers were waiting. Didn't even look up at the customers at any point.

Fun environment with communal seating once you order your food. Tons of options with some places much more popular than others. Loved the ambiance, but not to impressed with food. Drinks just as good as everywhere else around town. Also higher price point.

A few of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. So much passion in Pedro one of the bar men. Lovely to see

A must go and eat (at least twice). Plenty of amazing options. We order a bit from a few places to have a bite from different things

The drink was good, but I gave one star because as we were waiting, the bartender was re arranging the plastic mats on the floor with his hands, then pretended to pretend to wash his hands, but didn't open the faucet. And after he proceeded to get ice for the drinks and continued making drinks.

A nice place to enjoy with friends. Very much catered to tourists with a variety of options available including fresh seafood, desserts and drinks. Seating is difficult to get for large groups so it's recommended to come off peak. Vendors take card which is great and accessible friendly

This place is great but be prepared to wait a long time. There was no seats anywhere, so we had to eat off like a counter as such. There was no sort of queueing system so people waiting for food and people trying to order were all jumbled. I only got to try the Asian food place not sure what it was called and the food was amazing from there. It’s worth it if you have time and patience. It was also extremely warm despite it being a wet day outside.

Nice cocktails for a bit higher price, but it tasted well. It was interesting to look at the preparation, they paid a lot of attention to style the drinks.

Love the place, the food and the vibe. Great selection of the best and most popular foods in Lisbon. Also tried some fusion cuisine of Asian/ Portuguese food. Was fortunate enough to be there during one of the open dancing nights and danced with the locals.

I think we visited at the wrong time, but non the less, lovely collection of foods, types and styles, something for everyone to be fair. Lovely fresh food, fruit, and fish, massive selection. Certainly worth a visit. Cruise ships offer trips here for in the region of ‘lots of money’ God knows why … it’s a 15 walk from the terminal and then you can potter at your own pace, and select your own food …

A really vibrant place with plenty of options for all kinds of food. We came here twice, and had a few different things from different stalls. All the food and desserts we had were great, but prices are inflated when the cafés and restaurants surrounding are just as nice, if not nicer, and you can actually have somewhere to sit and don't melt in place. It's a must see for sure, but not all that in my opinion. Thought I will say, pretty good pastel de nata the first time (not the second).

The seafood platter is worth the money. It's 95 euro. There food here in general is good. We had steak and seafood. The servers were friendly. Place is clean and upscale. I would come back here again when I am in lisbon

👍👍 I was very surprised to see that even though this is right in the middle of “tourist town” the Pastel De Nata is by far the best I have ever tried. I've been to a few places around Portugal for Pastel de Nata and this place has the best ones hands down! Their filling is unique to others and I find t...

👍👍 We are Americans visiting and really enjoyed the pastries and coffee here. As a warning to other travelers, most the staff doesn't speak English and there us a ticket system to order. When you walk in. #1 tickets are for sit down and #2 are for carryout. We didn't know this and waited in line and ha...

👍 Good value for money. Drinks are cheaper than in the city center. 12 euro for sangria, 3 euro 50cl beer. Food is good. Nice salmon salad.
