I am writing this review from my bed at the Radisson Blue in Lisbon. Where do i start?Arrived at reception and my booking could not be found .Check-in took 40min. Once in our bedroom the room was spacious and clean. In the bathroom there was no soap and the bin was not emptied from previous guest. The kettle and lamp by TV unit does not work. I used another plug point and got the lamp to work. I informed reception that kettle does not work and asked them to replace it. This was 8am on our first morning. By 2pm I noticed that the kettle was still not working and reported it again to the lady that stocks the bar fridge. Last night i actually took the kettle to the reception and asked for a replacement. They could not help me. The next morning we phoned reception and asked again for a new kettle. A lady arrived at the door with no kettle. We phoned reception again and asked for another kettle. Finally the lady arrives with a kettle. The only positive was that the food was good and restaurant staff was friendly. Maybe i expect too much from a 4 star hotel in Portugal. I expect that 4 star has a higher standard, in the rest of the world In Portugal it's probably just one step up from the Roach Hotel. The furniture is getting old and dated and many of the armrest on the chairs are wobbly and one screw is hanging on for it's life. Unfortunately I can not recommend the Radisson Blue Lisbon. Go 5 star and don't look back

The hotel is amazing. Hands down the nicest Radisson I've ever stayed at. Clean, friendly and a great buffet style restaurant with table service. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because we chose this hotel because it had a shuttle that would pick us up from the airport. Apparently that shuttle only runs in the mornings. Since we got in around 9 p.m. there was no shuttle for us to use. However the taxi ride here was less than 10 €

Good location a short distance from Campo Grande metro station, or a €10 taxi ride from the airport. Great rooms, breakfast very good. Staff very polite, knowledgeable and efficient.

I think that may have been the worst hotel stay I've ever had. Upon just stepping into the revolving door, I found out it was automatic - which meant it kept spinning even as I reached for my suitcase. The result was my arm being stuck in a door that continued to press and push forward. Luckily one of the employees was able to hit the emergency stop button. The room was dark and dingy, and faced to the back of the hotel, where I had a lovely view of the AC vents. We were supposed to have 2 Queen beds, but it ended up being a King and a pull out couch. I was so tired that I didn't even argue. Check-out is at 12, and yet by 10:30 am, an employee was knocking our door in order to clean the room. As a result, we dead-bolted the door so we could change and wrap up our stay safely. By 11:30, not only did they knock on the door and try to open it, but when they pushed to open the door, the deadbolt FLEW off. This means that the Radisson Blu is either hiring defensive linemen to clean their rooms, or their dead bolts are purely cosmetic. Overall, the price was great, but the stay was not.

The Radisson Blu hotel in Lisbon is a decent place to stay, with both positives and negatives to consider. The location of the hotel is definitely a plus point, as it is situated near the city center and in close proximity to major tourist attractions. The Jardim Mario Soares, which is located nearby, is a wonderful place to walk with your family. The room at the hotel was spacious and quiet. Despite being close to the airport, the sound isolation of the windows was very good, ensuring that the outside noise was not heard in the room. The room had a large King Size bed and a couch-bed, providing ample space for guests. However, the service at the hotel could be improved. Although the cleaning service was good, the hotel did not provide basic amenities such as water bottles, sugar, and coffee on a daily basis. This lack of attention to detail is disappointing, especially when staying for an extended period. Furthermore, the hotel charges 1 euro per luggage to measure the weight, which is an unexpected and unnecessary expense. This is something that could have been free for the guests. In summary, the Radisson Blu hotel in Lisbon is a decent option for those looking for a convenient location and a spacious, quiet room. However, the lack of attention to detail in the service, combined with unexpected charges, could be improved to enhance the overall experience.

Close to airport, free parking outside hotel 7pm-9am otherwise pay at the meter. Authorities very keen to clamp vehicles so make sure you buy a ticket at machine if parking during the day. Most of the time we were out from morning to evening so parking didn't cost anything. Alternatively the hotel has an underground car park which costs 13euros per day but we never had to use it. Easy to access by car, good location with most places being within a half hour drive if not less. Rooms as expected, clean, reasonably spacious. Nice breakfast. Interior a little dated but that didn't bother us. Hotel staff not the friendliest but again we didn't really need anything from them once checked in. Overall a good hotel to stay in, did what we needed it to within a reasonable price. Cot bed was provided for baby and was better than some offerings I've seen at other places.

Last stay in this hotel was 3 years ago. This time round decided to refresh my memory on what is what. The overall impression: the hotel is run down. Minor details like dirty old carpets in the hallways on each floor, torn wallpaper, dirty mirrors in the lift, non-working lift call buttons, shabby-looking chairs in the bar area- all adds up to a not very pleasant impression. The room was good, the bed was very comfortable. The staff members were a bit...sluggish, should I say? In the bar there were several staff members in shift, with barely any customers in sight- still they managed to mix the orders up and/or successfully forget about the orders. The breakfast was great and I would say a good value for money.

Our room needed updating and freshening up. The iron fell apart on use. I reported this but nothing was done. One of the chairs was broken. There was a nasty toilet brush that may be as old as the hotel. The air conditioning didn’t cool the room. There is poor noise insulation and one hears almost constant banging doors and noise from other rooms. Water and coffee wasn’t replaced daily. On a positive side, the beds are comfortable. There were long queues for breakfast on 2 of the days. I think it’s pushing it to call this a four star hotel. It’s close to the airport and well outside of the city centre, with a short walk to the metro.

My experience from staying 2+ times is that its a Top hotel for stopover or city break. Good value, high standards, great staff who are helpful, friendly, really good at customer service. Rooms very clean, comfortable and not cluttered. Always sleep well. Breakfast fab. Looking forward to another stopover.

I did not have a good stay. We stayed for 2 nights. We were allowed to check-in 2hrs early which was fantastic, but we were disturb twice during that time by staff checking the mini bar and replacing something in the bathroom. The bath tub/shower had a glass door which did not extend far enough so water splashed everywhere when we showered. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. The AC did not work. The window gave view on a highway where traffic could be heard loudly at any hour of the day or night. With the window both opened or closed the sound was a bother. On the second night the cieling leaked water into the closet and completely soaked our belongings including my girlfriend's passport. The key card for the room stopped working on the second day and it took a long wait at the front desk before they were able to reactivate it. I tried to book the airport shuttle for 6am but the front desk told me it was fully booked they did not attempt to accommodate a different time. I eventually just walked up to the driver who said the shuttle was not full and I was welcomed to get on. This is by no means a 4 star hotel. We were supposed to spend a third night here but decided to go somewhere else.

I found the room a bit old, the breakfast was good, the service average. I think that there are to few staff for the throughput of the hotel. Overall an average experience nothing that would make me want to go back.

Property is close to airport, check in and check out was smooth, dinner was buffet style. Rooms were clean, but some towels didn’t look like they were clean but just re-folded and put in the bathroom. I was on the 6 floor and this floor had a unpleasant smell and the AC in the room was loud but it didn’t make the room colder. Everything else was fine.

I had a few light light-switch issues but they sent someone up immediately to replace the lamps. The room had wood floors and was very clean with complimentary coffee, tea, and bottled water and a/c-heat that worked well. Hallways were a bit dark and hallway carpets definitely need a derp clean. Hotel staff was exemplary, friendly, and knowledgeable. The restaurant had a small but varied menu with several vegetarian options and restaurant staff provided 5-star service. I was VERY impressed by the service.

Came here for a mini break last week and had a fantastic time. The location is perfect - 5 minutes from the airport and very near to a large metro station. When we arrived in our room there was still and sparking water, a bottle of port and 2 custard tarts. The buffet breakfast was amazing - we didn’t dine at the hotel but had drinks and they were very reasonable. On the morning of our departure they organised a shuttle to the airport.

We recently stayed here for 5 nights and it was lovely! Housekeeping was great (although we didn't get as high level service on our last day, which was a bit of a shame, hence the loss of a star). The breakfast buffet was delicious (although proper sausages, rather than frankfurter type sausages would have been nice), and there was a good selection of breads, pastries, cereals, meats and cheeses on offer. Never had any issues hearing noises from any other rooms, and the standard room is a really decent size, with a comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. The TV selection wasn't great if you wanted to watch anything in English so take a fire stick type device if you don't want to be stuck watching braindead MTV programmes, or one of the various children's channels. Location is fabulous though, and only a short walk from the bus and metro, which both seem to run very frequently. I would happily stay again in the future.

We stayed two nights and had two rooms. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. The location is perfect. Has a parking (we didn't have a car so I don't know if you pay or not). Very good breakfast and their in house restaurant is great. I also wanted to share one thing that bothered me the most in my stay at Radisson Blu. One of the evenings we were at the bar area and it was not busy at all. The bartender had two families to serve. At some point one family came in just to sit a bit in the bar area (it has many sitting areas, separated) So the bartender approached them to see if they want anything and they just said we just wanted to sit here a bit and to my surprise he said:"unless you buy something you are not allowed to be here!" he said it very loud and with a very angry voice. To me this is unacceptable. So this incident made me feel very uncomfortable 😔.

Very nice hotel and close to airport with shuttle service every 30min. Large rooms with updated bathrooms and full set of nice large towels. Breakfast was exceptional with full hot and cold food options. Modern TVs and USB ports for charging. Wifi was a little spotty. Where money was spent to upgrade bathrooms and flooring - some of the room furniture is a little dated and needs replacement. Overall very pleased with our stay.

The hotel is showing its age, but the service is excellent; special thanks to Gloria at check-in for being so pleasant. The restaurant staff was also fantastic, considering we walked in 10 min before close. They didn't rush us, and the food was excellent! The location is perfect for guests who want to be close to the airport. It took us 7 minutes to get there in a cab during the morning rush. The rooms are clean, beds are good, and bath towels are odor free + fluffy.

This hotel is very close to the airport, however needs renovations. Usually the Radisson Blu line is sleek, modern, and new. This was a dusty hotel and my room reeked of smoke. My room looked clean but smelled like mildew and smoke. I was also disappointed by the breakfast. The coffee machine was inconveniently out of order both mornings of my stay on the weekend. I felt that the staff put a “broken” sign on it so they didn’t have to deal with it. There was no juice, tea, or coffee- only water. I could not find a nearby coffee shop as this hotel is literally off the highway.

Rooms are old and ac is useless. Bath is inside the tub and your head touches the roof if you are long. There isn't even a way of closing and opening the stopper of the bathtub so you have to do all with your fingers inside the water after the tub is full. Wifi is the worst I have seen in my entire life it connects for a minute max and disconnects for around 3 minutes if you're lucky. Sometimes it doesnt even connect to it for a whole day. Breakfast almost didn't have any options the eggs didnt have salt there wasn't even a proper spoon to eat cereal. Laundry services cost a lot. Cleaners knock on the door at the 8 in the morning. Our cards didn't work at the last day of the stay we had to go back to the reception and get them all fixed. Probably the only good thing about the hotel was its location.

If you want a quiet night sleep before your flight the next day, do yourself a favor and do not stay here! One can hear everything. I'm a loyal customer of the Radisson brand and this is by far the worst one I have stayed at. The rooms are big and clean and service is excellent! However, the hotel is in desperate need of an upgrade. Thanks to Marco for finding us a quieter room.

Make sure to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking your hotel. This web site will compare countless booking web sites and normally will have rooms a lot cheaper than others! You're welcome :)! This hotel is the best rated in the area. I have been coming here for years. If you decide to stay here you won't be disappointed. I absolutely love this hotel. The rooms were large and very nice.I enjoyed my stay here and it was extremely comfortable especially the beds. Staff was friendly and it was a convenient location. I would stay here again.

Attentive staff, extremely helpful and courteous bell-service, rooms are a bit dated but are comfortable and clean. Miguel from front desk is such a gentleman and very kindly helped us with our bags since it was late when we checked in and the bell-service was not available, although they very kindly made up for that at the time of our checkout. Samuel from front desk made our check-in smooth.

Traditional hotel chain, very nice rooms and service. Clean and comfortable. Located so close to the airport, the point of attention is that you need a car or Uber to reach the downtown and decent restaurants

Phone does not work. AIRPORT SHUTTLE DOES NOT WORK at an airport adjacent hotel. Hair in ice bucket. Room needs refresh as some stuff old and broken. Not enough clean. Coffee set up in room from the 80's. Comfy bed.

We were very impressed with the quality of this hotel , particularly the spacious room, very comfortable king size bed and great housekeeping. Some nice touches of free drinking water, fruit and cookies at reception. We thank Paulo for his effort to ensure we were comfortable. He actually upgraded our room as we were staying for 12 nights. Although close to Metro and Airport , the location lacks good restaurants in the area. The breakfast buffet is worth the price and the impeccable service by the breafast host another Paulo , is memorable. We want to thank Marco at reception for being so helpful. Lastly after a tiring sightseeing all day, it is nice to come to Radisson to unwind.

The staff is very friendly and able to answer your questions. It’s about 20-30 minutes away from the port and centrally located for shopping areas. The room is spacious. The curb allows for easy pick up and drop off with Uber.

So, the rooms are ok. This is what Portugal has for a 4* hotel. 🤷‍♀️ But they clean the rooms every day, and they change the towels and the bed every day. The food for the breakfast various, fresh, and a lot. The waiters very humble and kind. The employees from the registrations should work somewhere else because they don’t know not even to say hello. Great location to use the subway.

This Radisson is not the shiny star that it was a few years back. I will start by saying that the front desk and concierge staff were very friendly and helpful. The reception area offered welcoming water, fresh fruit and treats for guests upon entering. We had 3 adults so only a suite was available. The room looked clean for the most part, but there was some sticky spot on a towel in the bathroom that was not from us. I have no idea what it was, that towel was just put in the corner of the floor for housekeeping. The bathtub with shower showed a lot of wear on the bottom (where a person would stand), and the water while showering took a long time to drain (nothing like standing in water that won't drain and leaving you to wonder why). The a/c did not work for the first 90 minutes (my spouse was waiting while we returned our rental car), and our call to the desk left us waiting for another 20 minutes with no response. When I went downstairs to request a new room, then a maintenance person was sent up immediately. He tinkered a bit and slightly cool air finally started coming out of the vent, but the room never felt cool, it just stopped feeling stuffy. The walls are thin - I could hear doors opening and closing throughout the night and could hear people walking on the floor above. Parking at the entry is public parking, for a fee. You can usually manage to park there long enough to check in, but then you need to move the car or pay for the time. The shuttle service only goes from the hotel to the airport, not the other way around. We discovered this when we went to return our rental car after checking in to the hotel. The shuttle to the airport seats no more than 6 (maybe 7) people, and it fills quickly. If you are counting on a shuttle in the early morning, be sure to ask as soon as you check in, if not sooner, or you will not be able to get a seat. Not what we expected from the Radisson and especially considering that this was the most expensive hotel we stayed in during our 9 day trip.

You'll find the Radisson mark of excellence, but the building is old. You can hear any sound possible from other rooms or in the halls. The cleaning service is especially quite loud if you plan to sleep in longer than 8am. Depending on your neighbours you might have a quiet night or not. It was a great stay, but some extra noise insulation will take it to the next level.

Amazing place to stay in Lisbon. This hotel seems to be away from the city centre but it’s connected well with metro & bus. Within 15 -20 minutes you can reach many of the popular spots in Lisbon. Their customer service was excellent & break fast was amazing👍👍👍

This is my go-to hotel when traveling. It's close to the airport, yet quiet. The shuttle is easy and on time. Rooms are spacious and the beds are terrific! Parking is available there, too. I really like the staff. While turnover is common in the hospitality industry, this hotel does a good job of retaining their staff. The team is friendly, efficient, and very helpful. The restaurant offers a great variety of tasty food for breakfast and dinner. I always have a great experience here. Always.

Great service, a little bit on the pricey side but the room was huge, Breakfast was really good and we had a free shuttle to the airport. This was our second time staying at this hotel.

  • 3/5 Phil T. 7 months ago on Google
POSITIVE: Breakfast is pretty good; staff are friendly. NEGATIVE: Shady part of town. We had two rooms; both were cramped. Housekeeping quality/timeliness varied, and once entirely skipped over one of our rooms. The rooms have ice buckets, but the hotel's only ice machine is in its bar--if it's closed, you're S.O.L. The bldg is over 10 floors high, but there are only two elevators that go up; the third, and last, elevator is reserved for basement, garage, and other areas under ground level. All three are quite small (4 adults max).

Very nice and clean hotel a short bus ride from the airport and 10 mins walk from the metro. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. The breakfast is very good with lots of choice. The beds were perfect and cleaned every day. Best of all there was f1 On room’s tv sports channels. If I could get a 4.5 star I would, because I have very little complaints. My only issue was the shower head was wobbly. None of the problems mentioned in other reviews occurred.

Hotell has clean rooms, comfortable beds, a good & quiet air condition in the room. Exhaust vent from the bathroom is very poor but it did not represent a big issue for me. Breakfast was good (buffet style) with excellent coffee. But worth mentioning that it does get pretty busy. Transport in to Lisbon is easy, either using subway just 10 minutes walking from the hotel or using the taxi rank just outside the hotel.

Staff is super nice! I don't recommend getting the morning breakfast during COVID time. It's pretty slow because they have to serve you everything, instead of getting it yourself. Which i understand. Overall great experience and they have late checkout till 6pm!!!

Most ‘interesting things’ is that I arrived at 23h30 and I waited more than one hour !!! just for check-in !!! Be careful before choose this hotel!!!you may have a chance like me to wait more than 50 peoples( a flight cancelled) to checkin first before u could have your room. Good luck!!! No apologies... no special line for those reservations... no attitude ... no star at all and at last no shuttle bus afternoon.

Checking into hotel was great. My room and experience there on the other hand was not. The room TV & light didn’t work and had to call someone to fix it. Really? The shower cap box was empty and when I pressed the button for wake up , well that didn’t work either. The restaurant was a nightmare. They didn’t have a table available at the restaurant, so I sat at the bar area. I waited for 20 mins and finally walked up to ask if I could get a drink since no one was coming to me. Later, I asked If i could have dinner there and waiter said they could do that. Again, I waited 20 mins before Someone came back to get my order. A couple came in maybe 30 mins later then me and they seemed to have a similar circumstance to eat in the bar. I’m still waiting to place my food order and they were then directed to a table in the restaurant? Really? I will say that when I was finally served my food I enjoyed it. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. For the amount I paid, I expected so much more. This experience( not the food) was an equivalent of a 2 star hotel.

I stayed here for one night and received 150 bottles of wine that I needed to get to the airport. Not only did they receive the wine without incident, Marco helped me wrap the bottles to protect them in the suitcases. They left me a space to get everything packed, helped me find materials, and made sure I got through the airport with the 8 bags. All of this to say, the service was great. The room was basic, but clean and comfortable with plenty of space. The bathroom looked newly remodeled. As for location, it is perfect for proximity to the airport or Sporting’s stadium. It’s also a cool university area with plenty to do in what feels like a more authentic Lisbon atmosphere than the center. I wouldn’t suggest it for first / one time visitors as it’s a bit far from the “trip advisor top 10” area. However, for anybody passing through, needing to get to the airport, or wanting to watch football; I couldn’t recommend a place more.

Rooms looking over the highway have poor sound and temperature isolation. Water pressure and temperature in the shower varies too much for my taste. In general rooms look and feel really old. Except for the new TV which has Smart function disabled so point taken there. It is however close to the airport and Sporting stadium, plus the metro station. Breakfast is good but nothing special. I am sure you can find better hotels for this rate

Great hotel, close to the airport. One reason I use this hotel is that they let me checkout at 1800hrs, so for a 2300 departure, after a 14 hour layover, it's not to long in the airport. Plus, it's like a 10 minute uber ride from the airport, there is also a good BBQ restaurant across the road, less than a 5 minute walk

Very old hotel that is run down and dingy. Stained carpets and peeling wallpaper in the hallways. Incredibly noisy - can hear everything from the hallways and adjacent rooms. Location near the airport and comfortable linens were the only positives.

City center standard big hotel. Clean, tidy and suits it's purpose. I wouldn't pay 300 euros a night though. Big thank you to Air Portugal for the accommodation. It was good to see how the other half live.

Excellent service from Henrique on reception, Paul the maitre d' and George from the kitchen.. very kind and helpful. Room decorations seem a bit dated. The bed is super large and had a deep, quiet, sleep! The revolving door at reception! It's too strong and fast. And I'm not sure it stops if it detects an obstruction. So be careful, especially if you have children. Use the door to the side instead.

Room was very nice however there were many mishaps that happened such as the elevator not working or just attitude shown from the employees. Was not to impressed on the attitude as well as the service they have shown. There is also no ice machine and there are just a few unnecessary comments that were made. 2 stars

For a overnight stay in Lisbon because my flight delayed. And hotel was free. From outside you would not think was nice inside. Great stay and good experience, good food, Joao the bartender was great, very friendly wait staff.

Decent hotel, decor bit dated and tired. General wear and tear, in need of updating. Generally, was a good stay despite reading some bad reviews. They did get our check out date wrong though, and had us noted as checked out a day earlier on the system, although the signed paperwork had the correct date. Breakfast buffet was quite good, some gluten free options as well on request. Overall, a good stay, about 25 minutes from central Lisbon but bus stops and metro stations are a short walk away. Room was a family room with two double beds, bathroom was good with a bath and shower. Again, the room was a bit dated but clean and did the job, a lot better than other places.

It's definitely an older radisskn. The door key didnt work, went down to recode it, didnt work again. Had to wait for personnel to come and open the door with the key. The water didnt go down in one of the sinks properly. Luckily there were two. Its close to the airport.. and im glad i got upgradedw to two bed room as i was travelling with a friend. Didnt feel ike the radissons i've stayed previously but still good.

Near to Lisbon airport so ideal for flyers. Spacious rooms and very clean. Adhering to covid regulations. It is on the flight path so can be a little noisy. Would recommend the hotel.

There was a little que for check in, however the room was clean and bathroom is well equipped with all the basic essentials. There is a large tv in the room, but windows are not seal tight, you can clearly hear traffic sounds passing by! Another thing is that beds were not so comfortable, a night or maximum 2 nights is fine but more than that stay would be little uncomfortable. Overall, staff is friendly, cleanliness is good and ambience is very fine.

We had a mixed start at Radisson Blu when we were assigned a non-remodeled room after a long flight and didn't have energy to request a change. But we did the next day and enjoyed 3 more days in a comfortable room. Excellent service in getting directions, calling taxi for 4am airport trip, and allowing me to take breakfast to our room for my wife. We returned the last day of our trip because it's the best hotel near Lisbon's airport.

Great hotel in Lisbon. The staff was very friendly and professional. Room was spacious and the mattress very comfortable. Breakfast was very complete, just try to go earlier and the later it gets the more confuse and crowded it is. The hotel also features a bar, very convenient for having a drink or watching sports on a big screen. The location is also very good, 7 minutes by car to the airport and 5 minutes walk to a metro station or bus stop. Does not matter if you’re visiting Lisbon on business or tourism this hotel will fit your needs. The staff was also kind enough to allow me a later checkout as my flight was in the end of the day. Totally recommend it.

Hotel is old, worn, dirty and I could not recommend it less. The tub was clogged and the shower dripped all night. I arrived around 11pm and was too tired to care. The sheets were clean and I could sleep mostly. 16 euro for the buffet of eggs from a bag. The 2 star are for the friendly staff. Glad it was a quick overnight.
