The hotel itself is fine but certain staff members were extremely rude to us. One of the receptionists was very rude and condescending specially when we asked for face masks even though in the hotel digital system it was written that we could ask for face masks. Instead of being polite she told us we can’t have two masks “because it’s a courtesy okay” and when we asked for an extra water bottle she said we need to wait till 6 PM even though we had asked her at 10:30 AM. She clearly doesn’t belong to the hospitality sector because her other colleagues were courteous to us. Even our waiter at the breakfast table was very unpleasant and didn’t really care to even listen to the order before running away and as a result we didn’t enjoy the breakfast at all. The whole vibe of the hotel was pretty negative. The concierge however was very helpful and she explained everything very well and helped us plan our sightseeing activities and suggested great restaurants and bars for us. But overall we don’t recommend this hotel at all because apart from the location there isn’t anything that makes this hotel stand apart.

My friend has the American Express platinum card and we got 5 star treatment when we stayed here. We had an amazing welcome gift of port, fresh fruit, and desserts. We had late check out at 4pm. And she had $100 credit which we enjoyed at the incredible sky bar uptop. Come dressed to impressed. Loved my stay here. Prices aren’t so bad if you book in advance.

It’s a five star hotel so I expected it to be good. It was. A couple of housekeeping issues that shouldn’t have arisen but were resolved. Super friendly staff and a rooftop cocktail lounge for the cool kids. Surprisingly, we made the cut. Lisbon is so much fun.

Room was very clean. Could use another chair or couch (there's plenty of space for this.) Housekeeping could stand to be better. Every day of our 4 night stay, we had to call for towels (we had none) and soap/shower gel was not replenished at all.

Impressive and imposing hotel. Very clean with smart, high quality interiors. We felt our room was slightly on the small side, but it was perfectly adequate. Excellent restaurant downstairs - we felt the food was some of the best we had in Lisbon, the wine was excellent and the service was exemplary. Very friendly and accommodating staff throughout the entire hotel. Nice pool with good service from the small bar. Lisbon is interesting and beautiful on the whole and we had a really enjoyable, though short, city break.

The worst check in I have ever encountered in a 5 star property, I requested early check in before arrival as our flight was coming in the morning and when we reached here at 11 there was no room available. We were told in advance that the hotel will do there best to accommodate the request however untill 1:30 we don’t have the room. The idea to book a luxury hotel is not to have tired and long check in process, however compassionate care based on customer situation. With the overnight flight I was not expecting this kind of service from this hotel, customer service was not very polite as well to resolve the issue.

A big thank you to the wonderful team at the Tivoli for making our stay so special. Pedro at the front desk gets a special mention. Everyone was lovely, smiling and helpful-the lobby bar, the doormen, the concierge desk and room service. The location is outstanding and we can’t wait to come back!

Terrific hotel with great restaurants, a convenient location and a fabulous staff. During the hot weather the lobby area is warm. Wonderful pool is a great escape from the heat.

During our trip we stayed twice at this hotel with 2 different experiences each time. During our first stay we were given a room on the 4th floor with a King sized bed. I hated that room and after the second stay i understood why. Simply put the bed is too big for a regular Room, we barely had any space to move around and the worst part were the linens which I think are too small for the bed size and I woke up every morning sleeping directly on the mattress as in the picture. The second time we were given a room on the 3rd floor with a double bed we had more space and best of all the bed didn't become undone while sleeping. Otherwise the staff is really friendly and helpful. The restaurant on the top floor is a must but try to book in advance as it is a hot spot for night life in Lisboa.

We loved everything about this hotel. The service was perfect at every turn. From the porters to the bartenders, to the receptionists to the concierge. We would come back to this hotel again without hesitation.

Fabulous hotel, lovely staff, great location. I had my birthday while I was here sparkling wine appeared at breakfast on the house, when we returned from our excursion there was a bottle of sparkling in an ice bucket waiting with a mini cake and candle. The restaurant is brilliant.

What a wonderful hotel! The breakfast choice and service was among the best we've ever enjoyed. Thanks Pedro on reception. The only criticism I would have was the food in the Seen restaurant. It is a lovely space with the bar giving great views of the city. But the chicken I had, though tasty, was simply a spatchcocked chicken on to which you sprinkle some spices. Not very exciting. However the rice accompanying was delicious as was the lobster bun my wife had. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel, we loved it.

Great hotel—perfect location and very good gym with a smith machine, kettlebells up to 70 lbs, dumbbells up to 75 lbs, a pull-up bar, cable machine, concept2 tower, and weight stack machines. The restaurants are also very good. The rooms are ok; service could be better.

Didn't stay at the hotel but went to have cocktail on the top floor. Great customer service and beautiful bathroom. The restaurant down stairs also amazing foods. 👏 this place is a true 5 stars hotel!

This may be the finest hotel we’ve been to. The rooms were very comfortable with plenty of space for clothing. The service was excellent with nightly turndown, daily bottled water, and one of the best breakfasts we’ve had. The only drawback was a poorly designed shower, but overall, a great 6-day stay.

My wife and I visit Lisbon often. We have stayed at several premium hotels. None match the service and comfort of Tivoli Liberdade. From the valet to the bellmen to the front desk-just first class. The Liberdade rooms are too small for us. We prefer and I highly recommend the Family Rooms. The Cervejara has truly excellent food variety and quality and spotless service. Best location in Lisbon walking distance to everything

Amazing hotel!! The service is awesome, and all the staff are very nice. The rooms are very spacious, and they’ve got a lot of amenities. I was pleasantly surprised by their gym, and I really liked their breakfast buffet. Overall, awesome hotel!

We stayed here during our trip to Lisbon. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The room was beautiful and cozy. The breakfast buffet was incredible! Also, was so pleased with the location of the hotel. We were able to walk to shops and restaurants.

Nice hotel but not worth the price. We got a room in the 6th floor and we could hear the music from their restaurant/club SEEN until 2 am every night throughout our stay!! It was super loud. Location is great but if you mind the music at night, it is best to stay somewhere else.

I enthusiastically recommend the spa experience. From the warm and friendly welcome upon arrival to the exceptional massage by Elsa, I left feeling completely revitalized with all my muscle tension gone. It was a true indulgence. This is truly an essential experience. Thank you. My only wish is that I lived closer to have more! Xxx

Had an amazing stay during my at Tivoli. To be more specific the staff at the pool section were amazing. Constantly making sure guests are ok. A special thank you to Omar for the amazing experience. He deserves some recognition from management.

Great location, very nice staff, rooms are very antiquated. Door stop broken, grime in the bathtub, the thermostat stayed all night at 11.5 degrees and kept the room livable. The worst thing is using the toilet sideways, you don’t fit. Welcome to room 812 for 600 euros a night!

Really nice hotel. They were fully booked but I didn’t experience any of the issues that others have complained about (long lines to check in, long delays with elevators). I would def go back.

What a great hotel. Wonderful location, excellent service, good size rooms with excellent amenities, and a wonderful bar and restaurant. This was our first trip to Lisbon and this hotel made it all so easy for us. I don’t have a lot of specifics to add because I can just broadly say that it hit all the right notes in every area. Beds were very comfortable. Rooms were a good size and the temperature easy to control. Bathrooms gave plenty of space. Breakfast was excellent. Bell staff always welcoming. If you visit Lisbon, stay here.

Most excellent property with excellent service from an attentive and friendly staff. The location is ideal. For this review I considered a slightly lower rating due to a number of instances of deferred maintenance. Most of our room’s electric outlets were worn to the extent that our European plugs and adaptors were not usable, our door’s security latch would not operate without considerable effort, and the light in the closet failed during our stay.

We have stayed at several high end hotels in Portugal, Spain and Morocco on this trip (four seasons, intercontinental) and this was easily the very best hotel in all respects. Staff is friendly and speaks English, breakfast is amazing, spa is wonderful. There is a late night bar/restaurant on the roof that is quite good as well. Lobby also has a bar. It is about a 5-10 minute walk from the heart of the tourist district, so it is more calm to walk around, but also means there are fewer restaurants in the area. You're still in a very busy area but it's not in the very center of the tourist district. I can't emphasize how well run this hotel is. Everything was perfect, there is usually one or two very minor things that go wrong, but here we had a perfect experience. This is a very popular hotel for a reason. Staff here were on average, twice as good as any other hotel we have stayed at.

Everything was great during our stay. We were welcomed by two people when our taxi arrived. They carried our luggages with warm welcome attitude. The guy who carried our luggages to the room was exceptionally nice. The front desk guy also was very helpful. The room was big and clean, the amenities are pretty. If I have a chance to come Lisbon again, definitely come back here. Highly recommend.

I've stayed at Tivoli Hotel in Lisbon on a few occasions, and it's always been a great experience. The location is perfect—it's right in the center of town, so you can walk to all the main tourist attractions and shopping areas. The service is excellent as well; I've never had trouble with my room or restaurant reservations. The hotel has a spa that offers some of the best massages I've ever had! If you're looking for something more relaxing than sightseeing, I highly recommend it! There is also a popular rooftop bar/restaurant upstairs that gets crowded, but there's a restaurant downstairs that I think is even better (the food is amazing). The best part about this place is that it doesn't get as crowded as some other places in the city.

Besides the clean rooms and friendly staff its a high price to pay for this mediocre hotel. There is a lot of noise from the rooftop bar, the rooms have an awful view and the place is poorly decorated. Overall overpriced and noisy. Not recommend for the quality seekers. And yes they have their standard friendly reply 👇

This was an excellent hire to stay at. We were upgraded to a family suite, which was a good sized room. The air conditioning worked great during the beginning of august. And the staff were very attentive and incredibly helpful. The only issue was that the service at the restaurant wasn’t good. It took them 20 minutes to get me the bill after asking, and made me late for an appointment. But I didn’t want to review the note based on the restaurant. Especially when the hotel staff were so great. Looking forward to staying there again.

Absolutely fantastic hotel. We spent a week here and felt beyond lucky to be some of the first American travelers back in Portugal. The Tivoli was the perfect base of operations for exploring Lisbon. Friendly professional staff who were eager to make our stay as nice as possible, even adding some surprise bubbly for my husband's birthday. Our room was spacious and quiet and always super clean. We will definitely be back.

We had an amazing vacation in Portugal! It all began with the Hotel Tivoli in Lisbon! The hotel is beautiful, the staff are amazing and attentive and the restaurant is phenomenal. We were celebrating our 25th anniversary! This team paid attention to every detail, including champagne, fruit, pastries and a personalized note. Shout outs to Chris, Katerina, Victor and the entire team. Thanks for making 2021 and 25 years so AWESOME!!

Nice place to have a dinner and the service is perfect, one can almost not do it better. I really enjoyed being there, if it was not for the price, I would go visit it more. I can not have everything you want, but sometimes.... It was really delicious.

A magnificent hotel with superior service and a team that makes you feel at home from the moment you walk in the door until the moment you rest your head to go to sleep at night. I must say, my stay was quite remarkable from being greeted at the door daily by the amazing welcoming committee, to getting checked in seamlessly at front desk, and then enjoying all the amenities that are at your fingertips through the DeVito platform. A one week trip quickly turned into a 4 week trip. Hotel Tivoli is a place that you can easily come to call home as everyone is very thoughtful. They work together to create a one of a kind experience that you’ll be sure to keep coming back to.

I've been to thousands of 5 star hotels and I must say that Tivoli is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Why? It's the staff that make it so special. Fabio and his team went far and beyond to make sure we feel comfortable and have all the tools available at our disposal. When we had to arrange for a hospital visit, Fabio called in a private doctor to come up to our room prior to having us go to the ER. All in all a fantastic experience at the hotel that is in the very city centre, and has all the amenities you need either for a leisure or business stay. Will definitely be back again soon!

5 stars are not enough to rate the quality of service that we received during our stay. It was an awesome experience. The dedication, personal touch, and kindness of everybody in the hotel, beginning with the manager Bruno, his staff Ricardo, Deborah, and the front desk staff, made our very comfortable. My daily breakfasts were always enjoyable by the personal attention given by Deborah and her team. They always try to find ways to make us happier. The greeting and hospitality that you receive upon entering and exiting the hotel are welcoming. Pedro and his team greet you nicely each time. We cannot wait to be back here in March!

Located in the heart of the retail district and city center, this boutique hotel is top notch! They catered to our group's every needs and was a great experience from the start to the end. We were there with a large group and everyone was raving about their experience. All of the staff was extremely helpful. We will surely be back!

Unbelievably bad experience. I'm shocked by the behavior of what supposed to be a great hotel. They put us in a room in the seventh floor, the bar in the roof is right above us with super loud music, the bass of the music was shaking our room. We complained that we cannot sleep, the front desk said there is nothing he can do about it! That the music will stop at 1am. Nothing he can do?? I come to five stars hotel and i cannot sleep! The music eventually stoped at 01:30am. Finally my wife and I could fall asleep. Then at 05:30am they decided to clean in the roof with a super loud machine, i guess it was a vaccine cleaner, I'm not sure, super loud! Woke up my wife and me, we couldn't get back to sleep. Again i complained, the guy says he will ask them to stop. Took them 20 minutes to stop it. It was a horrible night. I had to start my day at 08:00 super tired! In the morning i went to front desk to explain what happened. They apologized saying that they will change our room and upgrade us, and that they will call me. They never did! Around 14:00 when I came back to the hotel, i had to explain the entire story again to a different person that was in the front desk. She apologized again and said she will consult and call me. She never did! And to add salt to injury, for some reason they didn't clean our room. I called again, explained again, this time they offered to change the room, we had to pack everything and we changed a room to the same size room on a lower floor. I asked the guy "what about the upgrade she promised us", the answer was "that's the only room we have available now". Disgrace from such a hotel. And this is not my first time here, i come tomLisbon a lot. They are loosing a costumer. I hope tonight I could finally sleep.

Very nice hotel. Concierge was helpful in booking reservations for us. Samuel and Flavio at the lobby bar suggested a drink that is now my new favorite. Great service overall!!

5-star hotel with 1-star service The one-star is specifically for the breakfast service. The buffet was amazing. Everything else in Liberdade was not. The rooms were relatively small for the value, and the appliances were subpar. I was using the hair dryer and it kept turning off so I called the front desk. Instead of bringing me a working dryer, they told me to hold on to the cold button so it would keep running. I would expect a 5 star hotel to provide a working blow dryer so I didn't have to dry my hair with cold air. Even worse, our safe had a low battery issue and would not let us open to get our passports. We had to call twice to have an attendant come up to our room to open the safe with a master key. This was especially stressful as we were trying to catch a train to Porto. We barely made it on to the train. Amex Platinum travelers beware! I booked this hotel with a platinum card expecting the promotions associated with the Fine Hotel and Resorts program. My husband and I had to argue with the staff, including the attending manager, to receive SOME of benefits. We never were able to use the $100 hotel credit because the staff failed to properly follow up with American Express to confirm the benefits. This was after the atrending manager promised us she would followup during our checkin. It was only on our last night that I called Amex to find out if we would get late check out that they confirmed they never received a call from the hotel. After the rep talked with the front desk, the hotel finally gave us the $100 credit. But given how late this was in our stay, we weren't able to use it. The situation was made worse because the staff provided few solutions and kept asking us how they could fix the situation instead of figuring something out for us. Anytime we suggested something, there would be some kind of issue so we ultimately got nothing. The attending manager who promised to follow up with AMEX also didn't offer an apology and instead avoided us while we were speaking to the front desk. The excuse? The hotel manager noted the reason was due to a conference held at the hotel. It did not feel great to hear that our treatment was deprioritized. Especially given the price we paid for our stay, and the expectations for such a reputable hotel. We will not be staying here again, nor recommend anybody do so. Spend your money elsewhere. Maybe stop by for the breakfast if you're in the area.

Thank you to Antonio in the Lobby Bar, Pedro at the front desk, and the various staff (whom I didn’t get their names) for making our honeymoon a wonderful experience. A fault not to the hotel (or maybe it is?) but the Seen Bar on the rooftop (which is lovely and more on that in a bit) has really loud music at least on Fridays (I’m writing this on Saturday evening but I expect the same) can be heard in our room on the 6th floor. This seems to be an issue going back several years and that does degrade from the overall experience. For our room, the hotel was kind enough (or perhaps it was due to also booking through the Amex portal) to upgrade our room to a city view (which was stunning) and provided a champagne and berries on our first night. The morning breakfast buffet (which is 100% worth coming downstairs for, despite the temptation to use room service) was wonderful and it is in the same room which becomes the oyster bar/restaurant at night. We used the spa for a couple experience and the staff was polite and professional. Overall that was a great experience and worth it. As for the bar and restaurant on top of the hotel, both are reasonably priced for food and drink. Both provide the same stunning view of Lisbon. Overall, I would give this hotel a 4.75 mostly due to the noise issue, which I would imagine can be solved easily and it is disappointing that this has been noted on other reviews. The location allows you to easily access various parts of Lisbon and I’m happy with the service provided throughout our stay.

My husband and I had a great stay at the Tivoli! It was our first time in Lisbon and our stay was lovely. The staff was incredibly helpful and made reservations for us for two nights. The breakfast is outstanding and the pool is stunning. The location was a bit far from some of the things we wanted to see but it was still easily walkable and the tree-lined streets were a great walk to come home.

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Tivoli today. We each had burgers that were done to perfection. Following our meal we were introduced to a new concoction created by Carlos. It is a kiwi, gin and champagne mix topped with a wonderful lime foam. We’re hoping that this cocktail is offered when we visit Lisbon again. Special thanks to Carlos, Flavio and Leticia for making our evening so special.

Lots of good stuff here. Very Large room. Excellent staff and service. Great location. Fun rooftop bar. Nice breakfast spread. Super comfortable bed. decoration & furniture in our suite were fine, but could use some updating. All considered this was a great stay.

My experience at Tivoli Hotel at Avenida Liberdade location was simply wonderful. My boyfriend and I were extremely impressed by the quality of service from all staff members, the attention to detail, and the commitment to deliver nothing short of perfection. As we checked out of the hotel this morning, we were already planning our next visit, and we will definitely be staying at the hotel again. Everything from the speed of the service to the atmosphere, cleanliness of the rooms, food, etc., was 10/10! Thank you Tivoli Hotel for providing an amazing experience for my long distance boyfriend and I to meet after a year apart and making it so special for us. We will cherish the memory of this weekend forever.
