At
the
time
of
booking,
a
10%
discount
was
offered
but
wasn't
honoured,
they
said
there
was
a
glitch
with
the
system
and
was
no
longer
available
and
it
shouldn't
be
showing
up
on
their
website
(yet,
this
offer
was
still
on
their
website
weeks
later).
We
had
to
pay
upfront
and
it
included
breakfast,
which
doesn't
work
for
me
being
a
coeliac
with
a
nut
allergy.
The
building
was
full
of
character
and
quite
beautiful
and
was
close
to
cafes
and
restaurants
in
the
French
Quarter,
which
I
liked
very
much.
Think
it's
a
bit
far-fetched
to
call
it
a
hotel
and
a
4.5
star
at
that,
it
had
more
of
a
hostel
vibe,
especially
when
a
bunch
of
20-somethings
walked
through
the
door
at
the
same
time
as
us
but
they
were
very
well-behaved
and
didn't
hear
a
peak
from
them.
There
was
no
secure
storage
for
luggage
(just
in
the
communal
dining
room
with
the
other
bags)
and
check-in
time
was
extremely
late
at
3
pm.
At
the
said
check-in
time
our
room
was
not
ready,
a
solution
was
made
and
we
were
given
a
different
room,
I'm
glad
because
we
were
going
to
be
given
one
on
the
ground
floor,
which
would
have
been
extremely
noisy
given
it's
the
thoroughfare
for
all
comings
and
goings.
The
wine
and
cheese
were
offered
at
a
time
that
suited
(when
I
mentioned
it).
We
don't
like
goats
cheese
but
a
nice
sentiment.
Be
quick
with
the
breakfast,
if
you
come
down
at
say
10
am,
there
are
slim
pickings
that
have
been
picked
through
and
fingered
by
all,
including
children.
Luckily
because
of
my
food
allergies,
I
couldn't
eat
most
of
it.
I
got
a
clear
'NO'
when
I
requested
a
soft-boiled
or
poached
egg.
The
kitchen
staff
scuttled
down
to
reception
to
ask
what
he
should
do,
upon
returning,
he
picked
up
the
cold
hard-boiled
egg
from
the
breakfast
buffet
he
boiled
hours
earlier
and
heated
it
up
with
hot
kettle
water,
thinking
that
I
didn't
hear
or
see
the
interaction
with
his
boss
about
this!
You
could
bounce
it
off
the
wall
it
was
so
hard.
Fresh
orange
juice
(Portuguese
orange
juice
is
so
tasty),
bananas
and
bacon,
hot
eggs
of
any
kind
and
gluten
and
nut-free
toast
would
have
been
nice,
given
breakfast
was
included.
Plenty
for
vegans
and
vegetarians
but
that's
not
a
food
allergy.
My
husband
can
eat
anything,
yet
we
opted
to
eat
in
a
wonderful
place
'Heim
Cafe'
up
the
road
(I
highly
recommend
it).
Maybe
Cheese
&
Wine
could
offer
vouchers
to
their
guests
to
eat
there
given
that
breakfast
is
included.
They
recommended
a
cafe
Flora
and
Fauna,
which
upon
investigating
resembled
a
university
cafe
full
of
vegan/vegetarian
nut-eating
students
-
so
glad
we
found
'Heim
Cafe'.
The
room
was
full
of
character
with
a
balcony,
however,
the
red
wine-stained
hessian
rug
needs
to
be
thrown
away
and
burned.
The
same
goes
for
the
hallway
runners,
which
were
absolutely
filthy
and
stained.
It
was
pretty
difficult
to
navigate
washing
my
hair
while
holding
the
shower
head
over
a
very
slim
bath
with
a
wrap-around
shower
curtain
that
I
became
entangled
in,
almost
falling
out
and
what
could
have
been
quite
a
nasty
accident
if
I
didn't
keep
my
wits
about
me.
The
door
curtain
didn't
close
and
was
not
fixed
when
I
mentioned
it.
The
curtain's
required
as
there's
a
window
above
the
door
that
lets
in
the
hallway
light.
Initially,
a
bottle
of
water
was
included
in
the
room,
if
you
want
to
replenish
it,
you
need
to
purchase
a
small
bottle
for
€2.50.
I
feel
water
should
be
readily
available,
especially
on
a
hot
day.
Mini
cakes
and
truffles
were
offered
but
I
couldn't
eat
them
because
of
my
food
allergies,
again,
a
nice
sentiment
but
think
the
time
and
cost
would
have
been
better
spent
on
a
decent
breakfast
option
and
plenty
of
water,
not
everyone
can
or
wants
to
drink
wine
and
eat
cake.
