Excellent hotel near the train station with easy access to central, and opposite a shopping centre! The room was modern and clean, the breakfast options were great. Staff were super friendly and accommodative. Pool was lovely and the rooftop bar was amazing with fantastic view.

After a cancelled flight from Lisbon airport, had to wait two days to catch another one which I spent at this excellent hotel. The room was well appointed and clean, the breakfasts were excellent with plenty of options for all but the staff were, by far, the highlight of my short stay; nothing was too much trouble, they went out of their way to accommodate my requests and were extremely friendly all of the time. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The room was sweet. The children appreciated the recycling bin :-) The location is really convenient, we went to a show at the Altice arena and it was 5 minutes walk. The train and a mall are just downstairs. Breakfast was clean, fresh and tasty. We liked it.

We stayed there for a few days during fashion week in March 2023. We liked that the hotel is pet-friendly. We were able to stay there with our dog. We also love that the people who work on the front desk are very friendly. Those are the positive: The negative: 1. The room decor was very dated. The room also look dirty. Why would you put white or off white carpet in a hotel room? It has stain all over the place 2. The bathroom didn’t look clean. I saw mold here and there. The exhaust didn’t work. 3. For a dog friendly hotel, I understand that for some health code, animals aren’t allowed in restaurant (doesn’t mean I agree). BUT, they don’t even serve on the outdoor patio. It was closed during our stay. It was pathetic that we couldn’t enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine on the patio. We probably wouldn’t come back, unless there are no other dog-friendly vacancy in the area. I hope the hotel management can fix these problems and improve. MOXY hotel nearby has dog friendly bar on the premise.

4 star hotel? In what world? Not sure how any of these reviews are positive. More like a 2.5 star hotel. I could go on and on about it the issues and uncleanliness in all of the 4 rooms I saw, the hallways, the lobby, etc. Seriously astounded by the positive reviews and 4 star rating. Only positive is that the staff is very nice!

Pretty much perfect. One might not like the view onto the train station but if you are there for work or an event it's amazing. The train station is on the other side of the street, connection to the airport takes about ten minutes. Or same time with an Uber/Bolt for around 4 €! Even at 4am I only waited 5 minutes for a car! The hotel itself was clean and well maintained. I especially liked the air conditioner/heating unit. It changed the temperature in the room in absolut record speed. Never had a room where it worked so well before. The staff is also super friendly and English was not a problem at all. Breakfast tasted really good and had a lot of options. Some gluten free choices and local specialities as well as many juices. All in all a really great experience and I didn't even get to test the rooftop bar or the other features! You gotta be patient with the elevators though but I consider that normal. You could use those small window nooks wile you wait though. 😉

Rooms are nice and spacious. AC was a little weak in one of our rooms, but overall everything worked well and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast is excellent. They have an omelet bar and lots of choices of hot breakfast items.

We had a nightmare day in the airport after our flights were cancelled and we had to wait in a line for 7 hours. Once we got to Tivoli the amazing receptionists we’re more than welcoming and understanding of the terrible day we’d had. Amazing customer service and the views from the Sky Bar were incredible too! Really turned an awful day around for us.

Literally minutes from the airport, directly above the train and near the bus station. You can't ask for something more accessible. Rooms were nice and pretty good sized. Breakfast was a bit of a letdown, but decent.

This hotel is so big which is not the problem. The fact that there are 3 lifts for 20 floors and it takes around 10+ minutes to get to the right floor. Went to the sauna room and the most disgusting liquid was on the walls as if the hotel wasn’t cleaned in ages. The Jacuzzi and one sauna were closed. The sauna however was absolutely appalling to look at and it stunk so bad! The cleaning staff was also non cooperative for my room. The Sky Bar that is on the top floor is also extremely slow. It took 30+ minutes for a waiter to approach our group of 5 people. We ordered 5 drinks and it took 30+ minutes to get something. We left BEFORE the drinks even came! Before someone came to get our order, I went to the bar to order and a waiter told me to sit down and that he would come. He did not come back until I raised my voice. Horrible service & overpriced. When checking out, the doorman which we deposited our luggage with, dropped my baggage twice! I had my camera, laptop and iPad in this piece of luggage. Even more it took him 10 minutes to answer the door in the lobby with our stuff in it! How is this a 4 star hotel??! Not coming back again for sure.

Beautiful rooms, quite spacious for a European location. The hotel is situated slightly out of the centre, but very easy to get to from the airport and a short metro ride away from the centre. Two most import things: - go to their gorgeous roof top bar with a view over the river - walk to the river at dawn for a breathtaking view of Vasco de Gama bridge!

We stayed in a suite for our anniversary - this was very pleasant. The service was good, but you may need to wait for breakfast (depending on the time of day/year - we clearly times it when the hotel was busy and around 9am you often had to queue to get a table)

Nice clean rooms. We had a small problem and they upgraded us without even asking or expecting it which was wonderful. The staff was incredibly friendly and conversational as well as helpful. There’s a wonderful mall right next-door as well as the orient train station all within a three minute walk. Would definitely come back again.

Nice hotel close to the Oriente train station (and Vasco da Gama mall). It's a simplistic room, with just the basics to sleep one night, but without the luxury that the price would suggest. The reservation was quick, but the information was confuse. The reception suggested to pay 12.5 Euros for parking, while there was free parking available. The google location was wrong, making it hard to find when you are in a hurry. Finally, it was easy to find a taxi to the airport, but it was 8 Euros for 3Km distance. It would be better if the hotel would be more supportive.

This hotel is the worst hotel I've ever stayed. When I asked a front staff to bring a wine opener, she didn't receive my order and require me to order by phone at the front directly. She didn't want to support Asian customers at all. Additionally the wine opener was broken and it's pretty hard to open. If you are non-white person, I strongly recommend to chose other hotel. The hotel didn't give us any toothbrushes, rathers and cottons.

This beautiful, elegant hotel in the heart of Lisbon has everything anyone could want. Clean quiet rooms, a great staff attentive to every detail and the absolute best breakfast I've ever had on the continent. I would recommend this hotel in this lively city to anyone who is searching for an upscale place to call.home while here. 4 stars well deserved.

  • 1/5 NMP /. 2 months ago on Google • 22 reviews New
Far from 4 stars. Quiet rooms but many with lingering cigarette odor. Carpeted beige floors full of stains and without underlayment, so they are like walking on concrete. Mediocre customer service, decent breakfast though rather bland. Nice indoor pool, ok gym, slow and unsecured WiFi. Convenient to a mall and Continente. If you like to be far removed from the city center but next to a train station and the former world’s fair area this is for you. Not much else to do in this area. Either way, 3 stars would be pushing it, based on the rooms. Oh and the water in the showers gets very hot and very cold at times. My guess is that depending on water use of other rooms. Beds are comfortable.

Everything about the hotel was exceptional, the location was amazing, very close to all amenities and opposite Vasco da Gama shopping. The hotel was very clean. We had dinner in the Sky Garden roof top restaurant, it was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient, the view was amazing. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. Really recommend

We stayed two nights. It was my daughter ‘s birthday. The guest relations Ms. Ana Sofia Santos is so thoughtful to brought a small chocolate cake with candle and a bottle of sparkling wine into the room. That was a sweet gesture. Thank you Ms. Ana! The room is clean, location is great! 👍

Great location by the Oriente station with easy connections of train, metro and bus. Walkable distance to cable car which connects the Aqaurium and Vasco da Gama Tower by the riverfront in the expo site. Also handy for those going to the Expo and Stadium for performances. Lots of taxi in the entrance of the nearby Vasco da Gama mall as well which is handy. However, you should not expect the same experience of staying in old town centre - this is more of a different experience of new town setup. The room is spacious and service is good. They are happy to provide extra sheets or thinner pillow etc. However, the design of the glass countertop in the bathroom means water is always everywhere, it is better to provide a separate towel to soak them up. The additional door between the room entry/bathroom and the main bed/living area is also helpful in shielding away noise from the corridor and provide additional privacy. Staff are helpful in reception. And buffet breakfast is fairly good - although it can be busy at times. The most annoying part of the hotel is the lifts. There are 3 guest lifts connecting all floors. In peak times they tend to be very busy - the fact that the lift cab mostly only accommodate about 6 people max. with cabin luggage means lots of waiting. People tend to also not get into the lift even if it is possible to go in with some space left. It may be better for the Hotel to consider deploying part time staff during peak times in the morning to operate the lift and guide people to get in/out, so the lifts are running more efficiently. Alternatively, they can set split the lifts to serve only certain floors or only opening to traffic getting up/down. These are measures that can be made by the Hotel to ease the frustrations of guests. Also, they should put signs up to encourage people to use the stairs if they are only going up/down 1 to 3 floors at peak times, rather than waiting for the lifts and creating more demand. Again this can be simple measures the Hotel can do to make the stay more pleasant.

Amazing view, very nice and clean room and spacious, all the staff are amazingly friendly, from the reception, breakfast and cleaners ladies 👌🏼👏🏼. And the Sky Bar is very good, we are very pleased with the valentine's dinner. Recommended 💯 The breakfast is great, you find everything 😋.

Very beautiful hotel. The breakfast was great and contains a variety of items. The room was of decent size. The hotel has all the amenities. It has a gym and jacuzzi as well. You can use the laudry service as well but you have to pay for that. One night cost me around 85 Euro.

Really nice stay for 4 nights at this hotel. The room service is perfect and the rooms are well prepared and sized. I had a wonderful surprise for my birthday in the shape of a small cake and a bottle of Crémant. So kind 😊 The sauna and swimming pool are great for a small break or a resting afternoon when the weather isn't great outside.

I believe it is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Big rooms, big bathroom, everything clean, nice view, quiet and accessible from the airport and to the city center. Prices are higher but it is a great hotel, with nice staff and good service. Breakfast was rich and enough for our taste. Close to the rail station, bus station, a mall, the Oceanarium.

Overall a decent stay, nothing more nothing less If you drive - easy to get to but unless you are a good driver, moving around that basement is difficult and tight. - right in front of the major train station and shopping, - our rooms carpet was stained and looked a bit disgusting, shower floor was very slippery, our fridge wasn't working properly, - the hotel elevator wasn't working properly. The doors kept opening for not reason, and sometimes we noticed if someone scanned their card after us, the elevator would skip our level multiple times. Another bit of a disappointment was that the chef didn't understand what a dairy allergy was. She insisted she understood but kept insisting that "lactose free" was the same as "dairy free". It is not. Food was average too. Not bad, not great. Other than that it was a decent stay for the price

We booked a twin room for 3 nights. The hotel is pretty decent and central to a lot of places. The hotel is very pretty from inside and the room we had was overlooking the main stretch La Rambla which is constantly lively. The only downside I have was the breakfast which was very basic. Also the breakfast staff walk around asking your room number infront of everyone which I noticed some guests might not have liked. Overall the hotel is good and I would definelty book it again.

The hotel is very good and clean. The positive side is that it is near the metro and in a very quiet area, and the down side is that it is far from the center, the warmth and the beautiful city center. The breakfast, the room service, the staff were great.

We choose the Tivoli hotel because it had great reviews and was dog friendly, or so we thought). I would say that just tolerant of pets. We had two rooms at the hotel. One suite and one double room on the 9th floor. Let me start by saying what was pleasant about the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the hotel. They recently renovated Sky Bar which is nice and the decor is welcoming and comfortable. The lobby and hallways are clean. The quality of furniture was great for the volume of traffic the hotel receives. The breakfast was more than expected. The layout allowed for minimal traffic jams, the variety was extensive and the staff did a wonderful job keeping it clean and well stocked, kudos to the breakfast staff! If you are reading this be sure to add breakfast to your hotel room reservation! The hotel was easy to find and had a very tight parking garage below ground. The bed was comfortable. Now, let me tell you why we will not return. (NOTE: we did not inform management about these problems since they seen the be chronic problems that have not been addressed or are the result of lazy management with low expectations. Unfortunately, my expectations are very high.) The sink in 901 and 919 drained slowly. The window motor didn't work in 901, but you could manually push and pull the window closed. 919 - Suite Every piece of art in the room was crooked. The piece upon entry had all kinds of something dripping down the glass. Just disgusting! The motor on the window in the bedroom was not working. The chain was also disconnected, I guess so we could move it manually? The hair dryer was filled with so much lint that it didn't blow much air. It just made noise. We cleaned that ourselves. See photo. The pool was as cold as the Atlantic Ocean. The hot tub was the same ice cold temperature, it just had bubbles! The towels for the pool are at the front desk. You need to sign your life away just to get one. The towels are very nice, but this is a major inconvenience. The hotel should either put a pool attendant to watch and supply towels, or change to a basic bath towel and place them poolside. No one will notice the difference. I'm just disappointed that after paying so much to stay at the hotel, we have to sign for towels. That just takes away from the luxury experience. It's just not worth effort just to have nicer towels. The breakfast area was just too hot both morning of our stay. The hotel charges for dogs. That is not friendly, it's just pet tolerant. Trust me, my kids make more of a mess than my dogs! There was no grass for several blocks, just overgrown weeds. The front desk couldn't even point us in the direction of a manicured green space. There was no pet amenity, no water bowls, nothing. Just payment at check-in. It's VERY disappointing. They should look to other hotels for positive examples of being pet friendly. They could start by looking at the amenity and policies at Castelo de Palmela. BE WARNED, this is a pet tolerant hotel only so be prepared to pay extra and bring everything your pet may need for their visit. The lighted mirror in the bathroom was broken and the switch was replaced with foil tape. At Sky Bar, we ordered tacos from the shareable menu. We received one taco. I guess we were supposed to share the thee shrimp on the taco? When we complained that we had one taco for 14€ from the SHAREABLE MENU, they added a second taco. Our overall experience at Tivoli was underwhelming. We were not impressed with any part of our stay except breakfast. The hotel was sufficient for visiting the city and having a comfortable bed to sleep in. For our next visit to Lisboa, we will find alternate pet friendly accommodations as Tivoli was not worth the expense or frustration.

4 stars hotel not providing a shower... 180 euros the night, cold water running out mid shower, meaning only burning hot water trickling... left the shower with hair full of shampoo... Called the reception, got an apology (!) With nothing about a fix... At checking out staff was unfazed, proposed to offer mini bar drinks i did not use... thanks ? Also be prepared to wait for the elevator for 10 minutes more or less each time Will not go back there, ever... plenty of other options nearby that probably have running water...

This is a nice hotel with a cool bar on the 16th floor with views of the city. However be prepared to be disappointed with the mattresses! Although they look new, they must be very cheap - springs will dig into your sides all night.

This hotel is struggling, I paid top dollar as we wanted to be close to airport. Literally nothing in this hotel works properly. Had a hard time getting TV and wifi working, went to the pool the hot tub was colder than pool, the steam room out of order. Came upstairs to take shower and drain was plugged and almost flooded the bathroom, my wife wanted to dry her hair and hair dryer didn't work. Just not a good experience for what I paid.

The hotel is nice is very close to public transportation. Which makes it easier to move around the city and get to airport. If you bring friends over for breakfast just be aware that you will be charge 15.50 euros. Which I honestly believe is not worth it. My friend just had a bit of fruit and coffee. I just would have appreciated they would have advice me about the extra cost and how much, cause it felt like I was slap when I had to pay at check out 15.50 for water Melon and coffee from a machine

Sadly you need to reserve the pool, you can only reserve for 1h, in the morning is impossible to take a elevator, they are all busy, and with the covid measures, the capacity is for 2 people at time, so they are always full, apart that is just amazing, the bedrooms and the localization it's just wonderful!

Incredibly pleased with the hotel, the ambiance, the superb level of service, in my opinion a true five star hotel, for the superior level of quality you feel all around, again, the impressive level of service, there attention to detail, the increadibly high-level of excellence from start to finish, not to mention the extras they add to ascertain a stay that far exceeded my expectation, as they surely did surprise me with a welcome gift which surely did add to the perfect overall experience, one I will never forget

Rude and arrogant employees, especially in the 'Sky Bar'. I filed a complaint via the official website, but they can't even respond normally let alone in English. Absolutely ridiculous. And this is more than 6 months back. I have a network in hotels etc so could make a big problem out of it. That's why you should keep your prejudice to yourself and educate yourself haha - you never know who is in front of you. Am and educated businessman in Amsterdam. :) I was just checking out the view from the sky bar when a blackish girl talked to me. They were still closed. There was no sign or anything. Her tone was not friendly from the get go. When I said I didn't know and there was no sign she thought it was a good idea to address me as a kid. I am at least twice her size and older and also a married father. And that is simply not how you speak to any guest/customer. Whatever her reason was, it was unheard of and not valid. I hope you'll resolve this asap, or I might need to take judicial steps. Thanks.

Paid a lot of money, to get an oldfashioned small suite, small rooms, small bed, small bathroom, very dark inside, old mobiliar. Tjey told us we will get a very nice suite. Not so nice for us, we dont like. We are now unhappy to stay here. But the view and place of the hotel is very nice. The receiption was friendly. Parking is around the hotel. Sorry, we will not stay more nights

Great hotel, always clean rooms and good location and view. Reception staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is good. Would not recommend eating at the Guilty restaurant as it's more expensive and not as good as the other places very nearby but that's not a big issue. Sky bar has a fantastic view and some nice cocktails on the menu. Good place to stay. Also it is much easier and cheaper to park in the multistorey car park behind the hotel than the hotel car park which is very cramped and expensive - easy to scratch your car!

Awesome hotel right in front of the metro/train station. Very neat rooms. Just spotless! The beds are sooooo comfy. The service is 5star!! Easily accessible from the Lisbon airport (only 3 stops I think). Less than 5 minutes walk to the sea. Less than a minutes walk to a huge mall (right across the street). Very close to more than a dossen restaurants.

We arrived on Friday July 8th and and spent 4 nights here and liked the hotel overall, minus a couple of exceptions - long elevator waits, hotel was very busy at breakfast, and we hit a youth sports convention that week, with kids screaming up and down the hallway until 1am. It’s probably a bit too large of a hotel and close to the Oriente station, so next time we will choose something a couple of blocks away.

Air conditioner didn't work. Called front desk. They sent someone insisting it was working. 2 1/2 hours later the room is still warm and stuffy. Called again and asked for a fan. Was told maintenance was closed and they could not help. Additionally, the hotel has a stench like the septic is backed up. You can smell it from outside the building. Sky Lounge is nice. Will not be staying here again. Disappointed.

We stayed at the Tivoli Hotel last week for 4 days. Extremely helpful staff, one gentleman on reception was very helpful showing us where to visit etc. The beds were very comfortable & clean. Very modern & clean bathroom. Excellent location. Breakfast was 5 star there was absolutely everything you could want, even all different kinds of milk. Pool was lovely warm, clean with towels provided. Roof top bar was amazing with fantastic view. Bar staff brought blankets out in case anyone was chilly. Would definitely recommend this hotel & will be returning. Only one thing wrong with Lisbon (not the hotel) we got ripped off twice with taxi drivers, perhaps ubers are best.

Very close to airport, direct metro connection makes transfer easy and without stress, you really have no reason to worry you can reach airport in 15 min but on the other hand it is distanced from the down town. So for theistic reasons this is NOT good option! The rooms are ok, like very standard 3 to 4 star hotels, but there is one thing :) who recommend to put the almost white carpet on the floor ??!! It looks spotty and dirty even though it might not be.

Nice hôtel with incredible breakfast. The sky bar🍸 is really nice (if you are seated in front of the river and not of the railway) service is very good and helpful. The hotel is really well located.

The hotel is comfortable and walking distance to the train station, a mall, casino, and more. While there, we ate and drank at the Sky Bar and Guilty, and we ordered room service for lunch one afternoon (before going out). Initially, I noticed we were given the wrong room. The view was nice- it was of the mall and outdoor area of the train station. When I notified the front desk, they were able to show us our options of larger rooms that were available the next day. We moved to a room with more space and a different view.

A good hotel with excellent location in Lisbon - Oriente. Very close to the river Tejo, the Oriente train station, shopping center, Oceanário. Children friendly. Good breakfast. Good rooms with good view. Costumer service is very good at the level expected for this hotel’s chain. Don’t give 5 stars due to the huge time we had to wait for lifts due to hotel be fully booked and covid restrictions (2 people max in each lift if not family members).

I booked this because of its proximity to the Oriente train station. It is right next door and extremely convenient if you have an early train. The room was quite nice, much nicer than I was expecting. The Nespresso machine in the room was the icing on the cake. My view was less than fabulous (a view of the train tracks) but that was really the only negative and I was not staying there for the view. Despite the proximity to the trains the room was pretty sound proof. It is also across the street from a nice shopping mall. And it is subway accessible as well (just 3 stops from the airport). They also let me check in early which was a godsend after my overnight flight. I will definitely keep starting there for my trips to Portugal.

We booked three superior rooms and was given one regular room that seemed very barebones compared to the two other rooms. There was a conference there during our stay so there wasn’t a lot of options. The hotel is convenient in its proximity to a main train station and the airport. But it’s a 40ish minute Uber ride to downtown Lisbon. Walking outside the hotel, you can smell the sulfur in the air. Smells like rotten eggs. The breakfast buffet is $15.50 and pretty good value. I would stay again for it’s closeness to the mall, train station and airport.
