My first visit to this hotel was due to a nearby conference, and I was quite surprised to discover that a 4-star hotel does not provide irons for pressing clothes. They claimed it was due to safety concerns, but they offered a laundry service that would take care of it—albeit not immediately, but the following day. Unfortunately, I had an early morning conference and all my clothes were wrinkled. They didn't provide me with an iron, nor did they take the initiative to press the clothes themselves. It's worth noting that they charge for pressing clothes, which suggests that safety isn't the primary reason; rather, it appears to be a way to generate additional revenue without considering the guests' experience. The reception service was extremely disappointing. Additionally, they charge €10 per day for parking, and each day, you need to validate the parking ticket at the reception. On three separate occasions, my validated ticket failed to work when I reached the parking exit in my car, forcing me to return to the hotel reception for assistance. Furthermore, the hotel lobby and restaurant were consistently crowded and noisy due to various events hosted by other companies. Consequently, the atmosphere was far from quiet and relaxing, which one would expect from a hotel.

Clean, spacious and comfortable rooms. Professional front desk. Location is a bit far from downtown but is 5-10 minutes walk from Vasco Da Gama mall, subway station and along the way lots of restaurants to try. I recommend Dote restaurant which is very close to the hotel. Overall a very pleasant stay.

I paid about $100 for this quirky little hotel in Lisbon in November 2023. Unfortunately the hotel is on an antiquated boiler system for heat and air conditioning. Despite the fact that it appears to be a control for air conditioning, during this time of year nothing will come out of the system except blowing air, not cold air. They don't even realize that the front desk that they don't have true air conditioning where you can set the exact temperature. They also have this horrible European thing where you have to put your room key into the slot to keep the power on. So often you will come back in your room will be quite warm and there will be nothing you can do about that except to blow some are there. Not air conditioning. Other than that the room was okay. It's a nice place. But my room did not have a dedicated shower, and so I had to negotiate a high and deep bathtub with no handles to grab onto. Very old-fashioned. The bottom of the tub was quite slippery and there was no bath mat to use. There was no kettle in the roomThere were no electric plugs near either side of the bed except for the one that was being used by the lamp. Pretty inexcusable these days for a modern hotel. I was also told when I checked in that there was a garden on the roof. When I looked for it and I could not find it, I was told that the front desk that there was no garden on the roof, and looked at me like I must have been drunk to think that. I double checked with a friend of mine who was with me when I checked in, just to make sure that I hadn't dreamed it, and he confirmed that yes we were told there was a roof garden. I will double check that with the gentleman that checked me in yesterday. Otherwise the bed was very comfortable. And there was a comfortable chair for sitting in the room. The window is locked and cannot be opened. I had breakfast in the morning, and it's a very good and comprehensive breakfast. That is if you can find food on it. When I arrived at 8:30 a.m., every station of hot food was empty! I waited for about 15 to 20 minutes and had some toast, and still all the hot food was empty. No eggs, scrambled or fried, no beans, no sausage, no mushrooms, nothing! Even after 20 minutes! Only after I complained rather bitterly to the incompetent and clueless manager, was food finally brought out. After that it was fine. If you have breakfast I suggest you get there at 6:30 a.m. to get a good shot at having hot food. The hotel is in a great location, so it has that going for it. All in all it was a decent place. I would probably come back, but just be sure you know what you're getting into before you go.

Super position for a stay close to the airport or for events in the expo area of Lisbon. Further 20-25 min by taxi to get to the city centre. Some restaurants in the nearby. Rooms are fairly spacious and clean, some even having a view in the Tejo river. Breakfast service is pretty good. For remote workers, I really appreciated the Business rooms available near the reception. 2 desks with computers can be used for free for business calls and work requiring a desk. Interior design is also cozy, with pieces of furniture from Panton, Le Corbousier and other iconic designers. Really satisfied. I did not take a lot of pictures, but the huge piece of art near the entrance deserved one.

The location is terrible if you are visiting Lisbon for fun! Way outside the center of town. If you are here for business, then a great location. Our hotel was picked for us thru a third party as part of a package deal. Definitely do not recommend if traveling to be a tourist in Lisbon. Breakfast buffet was nice. Room was clean. Location was not great for me and what I wanted to do.

Very pleasant hotel. Excellent breakfast. Nice and clean rooms. Placed in the "Orirnt" area, which is not the center of the city, but is a nice area.

We came to this place late at the evening, were so tired and wanted to rest. The administer told us there are free rooms. But we noticed that the price was higher than in the internet and we tried to book through booking or other sources. At the same moment this lady closed each promo booking and told us to book direct via hotel I have never seen such behavior before! Good luck with such policy

Terrible reception service.. they seem to quarrel with you at any moment, especially there is a middle-aged lady with fluffy curly hair, very nervous and angry... Number one in places where she should never get up when she goes to Portugal

Best hotel lunch I've ever had in any country I've been in..genuinely amazing. Interesting place with lots of art everywhere (albeit a little commercial). Good sized rooms with beautiful solid wooden floors. A little annoying that the rooms don't have an ironing board and none is available.. but other than that a great place to stay.

Not bad, not great. Room was too hot, and the heating control didn’t seem to do anything, but the window opens. Lifts were slow and sometimes went to the wrong floor before moving again without the doors opening. Breakfast was very average, and was in conference room rather than a proper restaurant. Location is OK, not far from the metro and easy to get an Uber.

Disappointing for 4 stars hotel. I start by the room, it is noisy as the air-conditioner kept working though I turned off and I removed the card. So I barely sleep at night. The breakfast buffet is poor, not much varieties. I wanted to use the hair-dryer, just got broken in 2min or less. There's no swimming pool or gym. What I liked: - the view is nice if you get a room to the lake. - the rooms are clean and nice

Contemporary hotel with comfortable rooms. Easy to get to from the airport by taxi or metro. Ideal when attending a trade fair at the nearby Lisbon Fair.

Had a good stay with this hotel. Smooth check in/check out process, clean room, comfy bed, basic toilettries.Great breakfast selection! Proactive concierge, handover my luggages during check out time without asking and waiting for it. A slight feedback on complimentary bottled water of which the hotel supplied only for one time during the entire stay which I think in convinient for some guest...

Rooms were nice, big windows looking towards the harbour. Location was good, close to Oriente station, so easy access to bus, trains and metro. There are a lot of restaurants and cafes close by. There is a mall across from Oriente station, food, groceries, and everything else you can image. Also close to a waterfront walkway and the Expo site, and stadium -arena. I asked for a kettle for my room and it was delivered, with cups, coffee, tea and napkins --far more than I asked for.

Rooms were really spacious, clean, great views, breakfast was very decent. Front desk staff were professional but not the friendliest .The hotel doesn't provide ironing facilities but has laundry services at a cost do consider that before booking. Tip:Carry adaptor to charge your devices if you're traveling from the US or the UK as the hotel doesn't provide any.

4 stars? No way. The first night I find out that the blanket is not in normal bedsheets. It’s just a single sheet under and above the blanket (see photo). So in the night both single sheets roll in the middle and you have uncovered blanket on your body which was touched my hundreds people before you there. I called and asked for normal bedsheets. They said they don’t have any. The reception stuff are unfriendly and speak bad English. Other issue- there are loud pigeons outside the windows. There is not protection in the building that would let the pigeons to stay away.

The location is outstanding, the room is ok, but no balcony furniture, and no terrace in the entire hotel, also the parking is not free.

This hotel was nice and we thought it was in a great location. Staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. The only issue we had was that the tv wouldn’t turn off so I had to unplug it but otherwise we thought it was a nice hotel and would stay here again.

There is no way to get drinking warm/hot water, no kettle in the room, breakfast area is closed after 10am, there is no one in the bar, reception told me they will call someone to serve us in the bar - but no one came. Something makes a lot of noise at the corridor few times per hour - can’t sleep

Beautiful hotel, great experience, and staff. There is a bright view from the morning (if you live facing the sea, it will be enough to wake you. It is a little pricy when it comes to services offered by the hotel. However, the price for staying is fine (it might depend on the season). Excellent and extremely kind staff, very helpful and convenient.

Great hotel, spacious, clean and comfortable room, great facilities. Staff in the check in desk around 11pm (08/06/2023) were very friendly and very helpful, both a credit to Vip Executive Arts Hotel. This hotel is highly recommended.

Its a great place for business, it has a great view from the windows and the service is great. Also the cleaning is very well made, they have free wifi and the buffet options are good and various so this hotel should be a 5 star

Good hotel, located ideally close to Orient station and a short Uber form the airport. Good rooms and best thing is being close to the river and station. lots of good eating places nearby. a plus is the later check out at id day, this makes it much better than most of other hotels in the area.

8 mins walk from Oriente Metro, Train and buses. Same distance to Vasco Da Gama Shopping mall with ample of cafes and restaurants less than 2 mins walk away and taxis galore. Hotel was great staff attentive clean and modern in a safe location 7 Euro to the Airport. Would recommend.

Nice hotel, rooms are good and there's a lovely view of the estuary from my 11th Floor room. No coffee making facilities. Close to Oriente Station and Parque das Nações; I'd definitely recommend this place if you are going to the Expo I had dinner here last night as I arrived late and didn't want to go out, if possible. The restaurant was almost empty, as most guests had already eaten and left. The decor is dated, but the staff were lovely. I didn't hold out much hope of getting a vegan meal so was pleasantly surprised when the maitre d' said they did have and offered me the menu. 4 vegan mains, which all sounded delicious (vegan bolgnese, veggie curry, risotto of grilled pumpkin, mushrooms and sun dried tomatoes and baked basmati rice with aubergines) plus 3 vegan starters. However, there was also a buffet with lots of fresh salads, fruit, pumpkin & apple soup and mushroom pasta, so i had the buffet, and it was lovely, and still fresh and plentiful considering the restaurant was about to close. The waitress kept asking if she could get me anything from the kitchen as she didn't think i'd eaten enough - I'd actually eaten more than enough! There are actually loads of good restaurants nearby if you don't want to eat in the hotel, and the Vasco da Gama shopping mall is also 5 minutes away

A bit dangerous but the rooms are very pretty and extremely comfortable. Not the best place I have been to, and you cannot really open the windows but a good quality for the money spent. Location only good for business and conferences, the water side is nice.

A nice hotel, away from the city center but up close to the river and the expo center! Nice clean and relatively big rooms, an overall value for money. Breakfast was good, the bar was also good (as well as the prices) and the service even better. A little extra care could have been taken regarding the cleaning of the windows and the ledges outside!! Full of pigeons, their poop and feathers…

Hotel was very clean and hygienic well maintained customer services was too good. We had a language problem in Portuguese but Receptionist were able to talk English. Their Breakfast was very delicious with lots of variety. For my next visit I will definitely go back to dat hotel again. Highly recommend.

The hotel lobby and commun areas are nice. Large areas and good design. Location is good, with a nearby Shopping Center. Breakfast is good but not many fruits. Rooms are not large but are enough. Bath water can change from hot to cold and hot, again, in seconds and keeps bouncing. Minibar is empty. Be aware that you can't have a beer at bar and charging to the room, without giving "special" authorisation, at reception. Service seems to have poorly coordination, giving you the sensation of a 2 stars Hotel or less. Prices according to the neighbours.

Enjoyed our few days stay, walking distance to few tourist attractions. We were expecting basic amenities like kettle, iron in the room but Kettle was provided at our request later . They do laundry service hence no iron in the room I guess. Parking service was not included with the room, its available at a cost 1€ for an hour and 8€ whole day which works cheaper than off-street parking.

Generally good hotel. Rooms have better light than common areas. View from 12tg floor is cool. At my room I could hear the train. At check-in they are not checking COVID certificate test using the QR-code, because "they don't have any machine for that", but there are several free apps for mobile phones. This mean it is easy to fake a pdf with your name. No symptoms, nor negative test has been ask. I would give an additional star if they weren't so careless about it while have "safety" stickers all over place. Additional negative on hygiene is wrap glasses at room saying they are sterilised when they can't be because bag is not sealed.

Superb service, warm welcome, lovely rooms and fab location. Great Congress venue. Some friends and I decided to run a convention for convention organisers, and we hosted it here, in December 2021. It is a fantastic venue for this purpose, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Despite the challenging Covid situation (December 2021) we had an excellent experience with the hotel. This hotel has a number of very nice function rooms, and the location of the Arts 1 and 2 with a relaxed mezzanine space in front of them is perfect, for both organising purposes, and the bar gives delegates a really good space to spend time networking, socialising and enjoying the relaxed moments. Elizabete our main contact ensured that all our needs were catered for, there was good flexibility and a preparedness to be dynamic given the situation, globally and locally with the pandemic. We were able to arrange a number of receptions, which went very well, and we had great service from Mario and his team. Paulo at the bar, was busy making everyone welcome, and helping sustain the team, when they needed bar sandwiches, the steak sandwich was excellent value, and we enjoyed the hospitality The rooms were very good, cleanliness to a very high standard, and the views from the higher floors absolutely stunning, while the art around the hotel and the incredible superhero mural outside are amazing and really add to the atmosphere. The hotel is situated very close to some superb restaurants, in the oriente area, and also able to get into the city centre The process for choosing the hotel was supported and helped by Visit Lisboa, who were a partner in our endeavours, and worked very hard to help us, and we found Ana Mendes and the team to be hard working and co-operative at all stages. If one can run a conference in a pandemic successfully, in a pandemic, it would be joyous to do so in normal times, and we hope to return to The VIP Arts Hotel and Lisboa, very soon and all our delegates were very very pleased. From their perspective, the Breakfast was wonderful, the bar service great, and the Steak Sandwiches amazing! We loved it and will be back.

Please, don't go to this hotel. I don't recommend it. When they created an issue, they are not replying. You would also like to know that not all the clients are paying the same treatment (i.e. staying until late in the afternoon) upon request. My friend was requested to pay half day, in my case, full day. Stupid of me to consider normal a full day when my friend was told a different arrangement.

Had great service with decent breakfast. Location was awesome, 5-10 minute walk from the train station and Clientele Shopping Mall, with many shops and restaurants along the way, in a straight line. Hard to get lost going to and from the Hotel. Room was great, 2 bedroom but slight criticism with the toilet door, there is a slit at the bottom of it which allows air to circulate, very cold in winter...

We had a great extended stay here, they were very accommodating, we were supposed to stay only for a night but my mother tested positive for COVID and we couldn’t go home. The staff was attentive, even calling to check on her while she had to be quarantined. The breakfast was very good with many options, you could see everyone working hard to make sure it was always, replenished and the place was clean. Great location, convenient to the train station and airport and many great restaurants and shops nearby. Highly recommend! If you sit at the bar make sure to order the small plate of “salgados”

Very nice staff. But did not particularly like the place or the building. Takes ages to get hold of a lift. Breakfast area very dark with large round tables. Not at all a place you want to stay in for more than 10 min. Feels like being underground

I was staying at this hotel for 3 days and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.... First of all for the price , it doesn't provide even the basic amenities so not worth it.... For example there in no fitness centre , No iron in the room and they said its not in the policy and I had to wear a wrinkled shirts for my meetings... they force you to take their laundry services which is very expensive .... Also in my room Shower was not in a good condition..... Even to call the reception , I had to go physically as the phone did not work.... Not a great and pleasant experience with this hotel and you have much better options than this one.....

Hotel needing urgently renovation. Excellent location, but the price is too much for these hotel how it is. Bathrooms needs renovation beds needs renovation. And service also cancel reservations without speaking with customer. They had a problem with my card instead asking to check what's going on cancelled without notice, even the previous days I was in continuous communication. Needs to improve the relationship with customers special regular customers. In future I going to change the hotel. When I go to Lisbon.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating, but the hotel is dated and needs an upgrade. The AC unit in the room didn’t keep the room cold and bathrooms specially the showers needs a complete renovation. The lobby and the hotel in general are very dark and looks like museum.

It was very long for waiting for the room to be ready. We were many waiting in the hall. But overall the guy at the reception is very nice, and the rooms are beautiful, comfortable and clean. Around 6 to 10 minutes from Oriente station.

Before I wrote this review I saw other guests reviews with the hotel replies and was a bit shocked with tone of the replies. Examples come from the top and a GM should not be hostile when replying. - Staff mostly friendly, with some exceptions - Bed sheets had 3 big stains, when we asked to change them, no apologies just a ok reply - Tv remove didn't work - No kettle or coffee in room - Shower holder is loose - Make up mirror falls down - Breakfast ok - Conference rooms nice
