We loved it. Stayed at a 10 person mix dorm. The beds were spacious and separated nicely with curtains. The common areas were clean and the staff very friendly. The rooms and entrance had code access so we felt safe all the time. Would definitely recommend a stay

Location is the best of this Hostel. we were lucky to get an upgrade and got a private suit, but to the bathrooms were not attached, but the room where rooms were really good with the flats screen and good space. Hostel has a rooftop bar which is a great place to be in the evenings, reading a book or even getting the sun. Really nice breakfast cost €8 per person and it was not included on our booking. I would recommend nearby coffee shops for breakfast where you will have plenty more options but overall hostel is a great place. With events happening every day Friday was pub crawl. Hassle is in the same building as the railway station and subway so it had a better access.

My stay was incredible! Very good room, clean bathrooms and the location couldn't be better. The best thing about the hostel is the rooftop, which has a pool, stunning view, and especially the best bartender, Tommy, who always makes the best drinks and livens up the atmosphere. I recommend it to everyone!

I had the privilege of staying at Destinatin Sunset Hostel in Portugal and it was an unforgettable experience. The building itself is stunning and very inviting. Depending on the category, the rooms are very well maintained and furnished. – I was particularly impressed by the friendliness, cleanliness and the well-kept flowers throughout the hostel!! The service was also first class. Thank you dear Vincente, a better compliment for your warmth and care. Another plus point: The hostel is right in the heart of the action, everything your heart desires can be easily reached on foot! The WiFi worked great! - I will definitely come again. I can highly recommend it!

I loved every second of being in this hostel. The staff is beyond helpful and amazing. Maria, Margarita, Luan and Vicente have been beyond helpful for looking for places and any questions I had on the area. They are beyond patient and helpful, I spent two weeks there and I enjoyed every day and every second. Thank you for making my trip memorable and reminding me that there are people that are beyond nice and helpful.

Stayed for 8 nights and besides the last night was impossible to sleep because of a new guest arrival on the room that snored like hell all night (lol), the rest was perfect ! :) Staff is great and warm, you can feel at home. Special mention to Vicente, Maria, Pedro and all staff that I'm sorry I didn't catch the name, all are sweet and helpful. Can not forget to mention the nice Yoga class with Asma at the rooftop. Thank you everyone for the atmosphere and good vibe !! 🤗

Sunset Destination Hostel has been one of my favourite places to stay during my holiday! Firstly, the location is super convenient and secondly the rooftop bar is so chill. But the thing that really makes this place an amazing place to stay is the people who work / volunteer there. Sam, Rita, Charlotte, Prachi, Martini and many other staff are the coolest people you can meet. They make great drinks, make the reception a really chill and comfortable place, and are generally just a lot of fun to hang around. I can't recommend this place enough! P.S. Giovanni should definitely do an all you can eat sushi night there it would be as popular if not more than the BBQ dinner.

It's right in middle of station, although you never hear the sound thanks to sound absorbers everywhere. Great service and very hospitable. The one star less in room is because there were no USB charging ports on beds as compared to other hostels I have been to. Great place to make friends.

Great place! Really nice staff and fun outdoor space. Rooms were super clean and so were the bathrooms. Very social but seemed like people came here in groups. Nobody uses the pool it’s a bit small lol. GREAT location!

Been here for few days, it's was awesome experience the rooftop is amazing and have a chill vibe through the day with party and night. שבת שלום Alex, you were great help and kind and answers all my need, and of course all the volunteers and workers are really nice and friendly and making sure you feel as welcome as possible. Highly recommend for any one.

Best hostel to stay for many reasons. Close to the main station/ferry, central to everything so it's easy to walk to each side of the City. Very lively hostel, lots of activities and easy to socialise on the terrace. Almost everyone working there was lovely. I really appreciate it the cleanliness, they take it really seriously. I'll definitely choose this hostel again

The best hostel I’ve ever stayed in… staff was so unbelievably nice and accommodating. Jonas and Rita were so friendly and gave great recommendations- we actually wound up eating dinner at the restaurant Jonas works at and he was our server. Tomeli was the best bartender with such fun energy and made the rooftop such an enjoyable experience- constantly facilitating games and activities to participate in which made it so fun and easy to meet other travelers. Rooms are clean and really nice. Can’t recommend enough!

Definitely a party hostel and overall a cool place to stay. It was hard to find the entrance when you arrive. It’s not a super modern facility but gets the job done and the AC is a plus. It can be really loud at night since it’s above a train station (alarms going off and people shouting). The pool and rooftop were nice to have. The showers had some mold in them and could’ve been cleaner.

I had an awesome stay at Destination Sunset Hostel! With the super friendly and welcoming crew, I immediately felt home. The rooftop is a great place to hang out, enjoy the pool and meet other people, and escape the heat of the city. The location couldn't have been better, with a good view on the water and directly above the metro station to travel through the city quickly. Thank you, I had a great stay with you!

We didn’t actually stay at this hostel, but we stayed at the sister hostel, Lisbon destination hostel, so we were allowed to use the rooftop pool. The rooftop pool was SO fun. You could tell it was a little thrown together, but the music, the bar, the view, and the cool water made it an excellent hang out spot! Great for meeting people too!

The hostel in itself is AMAZING. The location, the view, the connectivity is amazing. But to add to that, they were the nicest people I’ve come across at any hostel in Europe so far. Check-in was smooth, Sonya(I think that’s how you spell it) was very helpful and accommodating especially given that we had a LOT of luggage. They helped us with our luggage and made it the most hospitable place I’ve been to in a long time. Tiago during checkout was very helpful. He offered us help with our luggage too, and was very happy to let us use the rooftop after we’d checked out. I really recommend it!

This is the best hostel where I've ever been. The location is really good you are close to everything. The hostel organize a lot of activities so you have always something to do and an opportunity to meet new friends. The staff is really kind and nice, they made my stay even better and unforgettable, I was feeling like at home. The rooftop is an amazing place to chill and party. I really hope to come back there soon :)

Starting with the good. Great location, near club Rio-Lisboa, restaurants and bars. Really nice people, Very nutritive and tasty breakfast. As we arrived to Lisbon we got a warm welcome in sunset destination hostel despite the fact we arrived one day later than the date we've mentioned in Booking due to our mistake. They were really cool with it, saving us the room. Throughout the entire week of our stay We had some really good experience with the staff. They were vigorous and always willing to help, giving us directions and tips about places we wanted to visit including nearby attractions. Now the lesser good: We weren't expecting the AC won't work in our private room and we were disappointed when no alternatives were offered us during our stay rather than downgrading to a dormitory room with a fully functioning AC. Regarding the showers we had to use the shared ones down the hall as there wasn't any in our private room. The water were either exaggeratedly too hot or too cold at first and when it finally settled it was mild towards cold. The combination of the two in a rather rainy week was quite inconvenient to say the least. During the week, 3 days before our checkout we made sure that our departure time was accurate and the staff indeed confirmed it on the spot so there would be no misunderstandings. While traveling during our last day, we we're notified by text that we need to checkout and our room is blocked. We didn't have wifi at all times so next thing we knew when arrived back in the hostel is our things locked and saves for us and we were given the option to downgrade into a dorm 6 bed room or moving into another charter in central Lisbon. We were debating if we should move out entirely or stay in the dormitory and a very nice staff member apologized for the Inconvenience so we decided to stay

What a beautiful experience staying here! Sam, Hugo, and the lovely lady at the front desk are super friendly and beyond helpful. The guests are the coolest and friendliest ever. It's clean and the location can't be more convenient. On Saturdays, don't miss the Samba Collaborativo concert. It's free in the park across the street with a local Brazilian community singing beautiful songs. Silas, the leader, is super friendly and lasts a good 4 hours. If you stay in room 100 you get live music till about 10pm for free. I personally loved it after a long day of sightseeing. It was relaxing. The pool is cold in the spring so enjoy during the day. Activities are fun and its not unlimited so grab your food and drinks quick. Love you guys! You're family! Can't wait to visit again! 😍

Awesome place to stay to meet people and have a great time in Lisbon. Sunset destination was clean and comfortable, and the events they put on were super fun. Shoutout to Tatiana for organizing and running the best bar crawl that could possibly be, making sure everyone had an incredible time, and not being the slightest bit pushy!

We stayed there in July 2021. Great location in front of the water and main attractions are in walking distance. It has a charm that is been build on top of train station. Rooftop bar is great for socializing even though the pool is not as attractive as it looks on photos. We were 4 and we booked a room for 4 people which made things very convenient.

The rooms are too warm at night because they don’t have any air conditioning in rooms and it smells so horrible, next to the hostel. The pictures on your website are fakes, to be honest. The beds were so uncomfortable to sleep on and the windows are open the whole night, next to my room many homeless people were screaming so loud the whole night, imagine those feelings!! Secondly, why do you take the visitor to a club, where they, the worker, and the bodyguards at the door are scammers.?!!! Just because the location is good and it's a cheaper place to live in few days?!!!

Great for student backpackers who want a cheap deal. Rooms and beds aren't that great but they do a fair bit of activities each day (and thus noise level). Not a place for me, even if it was just one night.

Sunset is a great place to stay in! Location: It's near to every spot you might want to visit in Lisbon as a tourist, you reach Barrio Alto and Chiado, Place Commerce and Rua Agusta 8 min by walking and as is next to Cais do Sadre station, you get the direct line to Cascais and reach it in 30 minutes. Staff: Very nice and professional. Facilities: I loved beds' structure in shared rooms, have a cover and courtains that gives you privacity and help you to sleep properly. Only thing to improve is the quantity of bathrooms, might not be enough.

Dirty showers and toilets. Very slow service. Waited 50min for check in. Bed was kinda dirty. For 40€ a night definitely over priced. And the beds where very dirty as well. Would not recommend staying here.

Went for one night on my way to Lagos. Fantastic vibes from the team and other travellers. Great facilities, and great view of the harbour by the pool.

The hostel is in a great location and has great facilities but: - bedding smelt very bad on all of the beds in our dorm - it is impossible to sleep in the room nearest the river as there is a club and late night food place just outside which is noisy until 7/8am. The staff are brilliant. I would recommend to stay but bring ear plugs. 4 stars if the bedding was actually clean.

My stay here was amazing on many factors, the cost to stay was cheap, but it is so well maintained has a pool with great views from the rooftop. The rooms are secure, comfy bed for the price couldn't ask for more. All the staff are lovely great energy always about for help and good laughs. They put on activities for guests or recomened things to do and see. I highly recommend staying here you won't be disappointed. I will definitely be back 😊

I spent 2 nights in this hostel, it didn't feel like the room has been cleaned nor properly ventilated during my stay. The persistent smell can be somewhat understandable in a 6-bed dorm, unfortunately it didn't feel like the bathrooms were regularly cleaned either. Location in the city is great, but one can hear the noise from the train station from the dorm I stayed in. The buffet breakfast is really okay and affordable.

First time staying at a hostel and this was a very good place for that! Staff was super nice and helpful. The location was perfect, easy to get everywhere. Was a bit noisy on the streets at night, but since I'm sensitive to sound I had earplugs with me anyway and slept like a lug despite all that.

We stayed in a mixed 6 bed dorm. Unfortunately the beds were quite uncomfortable and we needed to use mosquito repellent every night as it was impossible to not get bitten by them. The hostel is directly built into the trainstation and next to the waterfront - so great location. Nevertheless it is super loud, not only because of the big amount of passengers passing by every day and night but also because of loud party music that is present 24/7. So if u want a quiet place, don’t choose this hostel. If u want party and sleepless nights it’s a good place to go. To be added: the pub crawl with Ivan was very nice!

The best accomandantion and people I never ever been in contact! I literally suggested everyone at least one time to go in this beautiful place, is worth it!! The welcome you will receive it's so satisfying and completely good!! They are absolutely friendly every single day, Love this place!

I had such a wonderful time in Lisbon and staying at the sunset destination hostel was the main reason I got to enjoy it so much ! The staff was all so welcoming, so nice 🤍 (special thanks to Tatiana 🙏💕) The activities, pub crawls and more were wonderful opportunities to meet people And finally the hostel itself was perfect! I was staying in a dorm but still felt a little bit of privacy when needed thanks to the curtains surrounding the bed, the rooftop was always the best place to hang out and meet fellow travelers and the common rooms were nicely decorated with a view of the sea at all times. Great experience overall !

I had the most amazing time at sunset destination. The staff are incredibly sweet and helpful. Tatiana and Cuan were especially helpful, going above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. It is such a kind and welcoming environment and we made so many friends along the way. Martini’s pub crawl was a blast and a great way to explore the areas night life and meet new people. The hostel has so many great additional activities and tours that are definitely worth doing. The space is really well kept and a great place to just hang out. The location was great - really close to everything and easy to get around. I would recommend this hostel to all my friends and will be defending staying here the next time I visit Lisbon.

Had a great time at this place. Had a flight at 6am so I only booked for one night and spent the day out the next day. Room was really cool looking and was one of the first hostels on my trip that I got a pretty good sleep in. Rooftop bar was awesome, people at the hostel were great, and when I checked out and still had a full day to kill I was able to keep my luggage in the storage unit for the day. Staff was really friendly so that was a huge plus. The hostel literally runs through the train station and is right on the beach, best location possible if you want to stay local or branch out and explore. Right next to the market and many great restaurants as well. One of the best hostels I've stayed at for sure and I was there for one night.

Sunset destination was clean, comfortable, and located in a prime location. The staff was really helpful and friendly, and the events they planned were super fun ways to see Lisbon and meet new people. Tatiana in particular killed it putting together a pub crawl with people from a bunch of different hostels. Would definitely recommend sunset destination if your staying in Lisbon.

This hostel was one of my favorite places to stay in Europe. It was very clean, beautiful, easy to meet people. Beds were comfortable, rooms were clean, bathrooms had hot water. All the workers were great and helpful, especially Ramon. He was polite, provided a lot of information, and fun to talk to. Thank you, Ramon, for making the stay even better.
