I was skeptical about sharing the bathroom at first, but it is not bad at all since you only share with one other room. There is some reviews that complain about the noise, but consider the location that is not surprising at all, i rather enjoy the liveliness being right out your balcony, it's got the old Lisbon city feel to it, not loud enough where you can't sleep. The room is clean, the rate is very affordable, and the location is perfect! Would recommend this to anyone 👌

Stolen! A year ago my boyfriend and I were robbed of our rooms. A person who wasn't a guest got in there, and stole our laptops, purses, headphones, money, everything of value. The person who cleans the place leaves the hallways open while cleaning, The receptionists do not check who enters the place The guy just walked into our room while the lady who cleans the floor was there and stole everything while my boyfriend was in the bathroom, Staff just said it was our fault for leaving the room open (The open room, in a closed hotel, with a key to each floor, and even then it was our fault and not theirs) This is all recorded on the security cameras, everything. One year no response, no refund. Boho's owners didn't even get in touch with us. If I can give you some advice, don't go there because they don't care about you and there's no security.

Horrible experience with staff The receptionist was the worst person I have ever dealt with in my years of travelling. When we arrived the way he spoke to me and my partner made me think he was someone coming downstairs to try and start a fight with us. After buzzing the door and the door opening " how did you get in ? Open the door again and show me!, go back out and show me how you got in !!" Were the words we were greeted with. Even once we realised he was the person meant to be checking us in he was continually rude the whole time and really set a horrible tone for our stay. I also attempted to wash my clothes in one of the 2 washing machines in the kitchen. Was rudely greeted by the cleaning staff and told off for using it as apparently its for the cleaning staff only and they are broken. Continually attacked saying " why did you use it, who said you could use it !? " They are in the common area, and there is no sign to say they are broken ?! If you don't want them used then put a sign on them or remove them from the area you are renting to guests. Also the upstairs kitchen has 2 spoons a tiny frying pan and one pot for 3 apartments, very hard to cook anything with the items provided so I'd hardly say that claiming it has kitchen facilities is accurate.

Location is really in the heart if things, close to touristic attractions and busy nightlife. The rooms I had (and the ones I saw) was very basic. A bed, an old small tele and an ikea style hanger for clothes, no duvet, a blanket. The towels are thin but get changed. I had my own bathroom (a teeny tiny shower, so small I had to open the door to bend down and pick up my shower gel) which was pretty stinky (before I used it). No toiletries are provided. It’s noisy outside at night and into the early hours. Construction work next door during the day makes it impossible to stay indoors (but won’t last forever). The arrival arrangements work via e-mail. If you’re looking for a no frills place to stay, this fits.

Alright stay just by the pink street. Very good location! However, not worth the price point in our experience. We made our stay shorter and got a lot nicer stay just around the corner for similar price. The bathroom could use a renovation, and walls are paper-thin indeed :).

Read many reports of people getting robbed here and more reviews of costumers not being able to access the property and having bad experiences with the staff. I would not be writing this review if they offered me a refund but they did not. This was 174 euros wasted. Lisbon is an amazing city if you visit you should book your stay somewhere else. Do not support a business that treats paying costumers this way. I have traveled in Europe many times and never experienced this before. Go ANYWHERE else. ✌️

The room itself is fine and the proximity is great, but the lack of private bathroom made me leave as soon as I checked in to find a real hotel. There lots of options in lisbon that offer those basic amenities for a similar price.

Cancelled reservation a day before arrival! I'm sharing my opinion again because I didn't had an option to replay for previous one. First of all, if you are a professional hotel, don't talk to your guests like that: "I'm glad you wrote us to clarify what happened." - You are responsible to inform me and clarify situation. Or you expect each of your guests to call everyday and make sure the booking they made is available? That you didn't change your mind? "We didn't cancel the day before, we canceled in advance and we contacted Booking to guarantee you the best possible solution. However, Booking assistance team tried to call you and, from what I understand, you were not reachable." - The cancellation was made a day before accommodation and I didn't get a single call from you or booking.com.... "we never got an answer from you because you never answer the phone.." - Are you serious? There was not a single call or apology I received from you. I was already in Portugal and had my phone 24h with me, so stop lying that I was not answering my phone. Did you even tried to call me once or you left it for booking? "We did EVERYTHING possible to solve your case..." - no information, no call, no message, no apology. Indeed, EVERYTHING! I'm not changing my opinion about you. You proved your unprofessional service and your a simple scammers for me.

They cancelled my reservation one day before when I was in Portugal. They offer me (probably booking.com) one option (which wasn’t to good). Of course about this situation I was informed via booking app and mail because nobody called to me, plus I wasn’t informed why My reservation was cancelled. It’s better to choose other option which is more sure than this joke ….

good value for money, great location, if you want to be in center of Lisbons lively scene. that means, that it‘s loud outside. but the windows do a good job at keeping the noise at an acceptable level. My room had no WC inside, but the shared bathrooms are clean and if you need to keep your budget under control, this place is for you.

Staff were great and the facilities very good. I'd not go back simply because I don't like staying in a party area. Too noisey all night. But it was perfectly fine for the one night I needed it.

After a minor issue (we booked the room the same night that we were staying here), we were able to get ahold of the management via cell phone and they were able to get us into Boho Guesthouse within 15 minutes. Note that you should definitely book more than a couple hours in advance! We admit this mistake was on us. This is technically a Hostal with private rooms and shared bathrooms. It was absolutely the best private room Hostal I’ve ever stayed at! The proximity is unmatched (centrally located, with bars and restaurants right below us). I saw a negative review on here that mentioned security and noise complaints and would like to clear that up for those that are detoured because of that review: Noise: if you keep the windows open, there is a lot of noise below, even late at night. The street below is a bustling street with bars. It’s super cool to see it in action from above! When we were ready for bed, we closed the windows and were amazed at how well the windows blocked out the noise. We were not awakened at all during the night. Our room also had two large fans to circulate air. I’ve had worse problems with hotels that have thin walls - this did not. Security: check-in is automated, so you get into the building with a code and then you can get to your room which will have a key in it. You can lock your room and take the key! It’s super secure and makes things easier for all involved. You can also lock the room when you use the bathrooms in the common area. If you have complaints about the bathroom immediately closest to you, you could easily use one of the bathrooms on another floor. If you want a bougie hotel with a bathroom in your room, go somewhere else and pay 100-200€ more. However, if you want a comfortable, proximal, authentic experience, then stay here! We certainly will be staying here again next time we’re in Lisboa.

I stayed here for 4 nights. It's really a great place if you're on a budget. It's a 5 minutes walk to the main square and the same to a big station from were the trains to Cascais leave, the red line metro, boats, busses and trams that conect to the entire city. It does not have Aircon or heating so be aware of that if you book it in the summer or winter. The's a magnificent coffee shop right arround the corner and many reastaurants around. It's located in a party zone but the windows are sound proof and the noise at night didn't bother me. They come in and clean the room and make your bed every day. So that's a big plus.

They cancelled my reservation (made via Booking.com) a few days before my trip for no reason. I just got an email from Booking.com saying “unfortunately, Boho Guesthouse can no longer accommodate you”. They didn’t even have the decency to contact me themselves. They didn’t even offer a refund! Now I’m stuck paying inflated prices for last-minute accommodations. Do not recommend!!

Stayed here one night and was perfect location wise, for the price it is very well situated, clean and simple. I had a single room with shared bathroom and exceeded my needs

Everything was amazing, from our bedroom, the location, the people in the Hostel, the kitchen and bathrooms. Everything was great. 100% recommend it, plus it is very cheap. The only but thing was the noise during the night.

Great hostel! Atmospheric common area, clean rooms, very friendly and polite host with great English. Bag storage for the whole next day. The best location, close to the centre, good caffees and restaurants area, TimeOut Market!

ALERT ALERT ALERT ALERT ALERT they changed the code and we could not enter the accommodation, we stayed on the street, the girl at the reception, very disrespectful... if they go to the accommodation, there is surely the possibility that they sleep on the street
