Ok but certainly not a 4 stars hotel compared to international norms. While the staff is amazing and really nice, the hotel itself is more of a 2 to 3 stars. Indeed : The rooms are nice, but don’t come with any coffee/tea. They come with a few bottles of water that will never ever be refilled during your stay. The television wasn’t working either. The bathroom could do with some refreshing and do not expect anything such as body wash, shampoo or even dream of after shampoo. All you will get is a rudimentary wall hanger soap dispenser that will be used for everything. The walls are thin… really thin. You can hear conversations in the corridor. The breakfast is fine, a bit on the rudimentary side. The coffee is just a big pot of stale coffee that you’ll have to use. If you ask for an espresso or a cappuccino, you’ll be charged 4 euros. No swimming pool either. It’s really far from a 4 stars.

For nearly 200 Euro, the room was not acceptable. I complained to the evening staff about the air conditioning not working, and was given a very rude response. The only suggestion was to open a window, and listen to the busy street below. Not close to being a 4 or even 3 star hotel.

Excellent bed, good shower and breakfast. Lunch buffet was tasty. The location four tourists is not optimal, but this hotel is more for conference guests and flight crews etc.

Excellent hotel. Great service especially at reception and the breakfast (Thank you Barbara and Fabio respectively) room could do with free bottled water once a day but you can also drink the tap water so no big deal. Reception foyer also has an ATM and Bag weighting machine for EUR1.

A hotel for a short stay for a night, could be okay but nothing more. The hotel is nothing special, the conditions inside are not so good - the room was with twin beds, which I dislike. The TV is too old and on a too high position on the wall - which makes watching TV uncomfortable. Otherwise the room was at least clean. There was no iron in the room and I should've go and ask for it losing time. The customer service is nice, they are polite and helpful - bravo to them! 👏🏽 The restaurant isn't on a high level - I eat linguini with smoked salmon wish wasn't good - the crem was one tea spoon, which makes the pasta really dry - I simply eat linguini without anything else. 🤷‍♂️ I hope the rest of the food is better, because if it is like that - it wouldn't be good.

I am very satisfied with my stay in this hotel. The staff is extremely kind and friendly. I left something in the room and they tried their best to deliver it to me. I am very grateful to them for that. The rooms are spacious, the beds are very comfortable. The toilet is huge. Everything was very clean and tidy. The food in the restaurant is excellent. The location is great, close to the airport. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. Thank you Sana Metropolitan!

Great hotel with exceptional professional service! I left something behind in the room and they have been very helpful in helping get it back over email. The lunch buffet had some really nicely seasoned oyster mushrooms and lots of veggie options in general, but the dinner buffet I was pretty much limited to salad. Would also be cooler if they had a jacuzzi👌

The lobby was beautiful but we were given two twin beds as a couple and the room itself was very minimal. There was a skinny bathtub. Someone came by to “check the minifridge” and actually let himself in before we answered… and I was in the shower. A little unnerving. The other people working there were quite nice.

We didn't plan to stay at this hotel - the airline put us up here when our flight was delayed - but the stay was as enjoyable as I could have hoped. The rooms were smart and clean, with good air conditioning and a nice bathroom (bath, shower, toilet sink and bidet). What really stood out though was the staff, who were all fantastic. The team at the front desk were super helpful and looked after us brilliantly, and the staff in the restaurant were kind, friendly and attentive. Overall, the people working here turned a stressful time into an enjoyable overnight stay, which was just what we needed.

It's a decent 4-star hotel with a variety of delicious food. Safe and sound atmosphere. Not close to the city though.

We stayed at this hotel while visiting Lisbon. It is 15 mins from the airport and then approx a 30 min car ride to downtown lisbon. The rooms were good - although the tub was narrow so when showered your legs were glued tight together - kind of uncomfortable. I didn’t have any issues with a lack of plugs like I read in previous reviews. There was a plug on either side of the bed and one in the bathroom. Plus another one under the tv.

The service is great at this hotel. In terms of of the room interior its is comfortable and spacious, however it us borderline outdated. The overall experience of the hotel was good. Definitely a hotel for doing business.

Layover Hotel.... Not the best Adress. A'lot of noise because of the Airport and the city highway .. but clean. Breakfast was ok for a short stay to get the next flight. Not recommended for a longer stay.

This is one of my favourite hotel in Lisbon. It is a 4 star hotel but a bit out dated room interior so few people may argue a bit. It has a very good bar and breakfast is excellent with lots of choices. Dont forget the free coffee in the langue. It is also very accessible with public transport such as bus and train but you can find reasonably prices taxies right in front of the hotel. Staff is very prefessional and helping. A bit pricy but if compared to other european cities, it is still towards the lower end.

My family and I (5 adults and 2 children) recently had the pleasure of staying at the SANA Metropolitan Hotel in Lisbon, and I must say, it was an experience that exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we knew we were in for a truly special stay. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a delightful surprise – a plate of scrumptious macarons that awaited us in our rooms. What a thoughtful and sweet gesture that set the tone for our entire stay! It was evident that the staff at SANA Metropolitan Hotel knew how to make their guests feel truly welcomed. The breakfast spread was nothing short of impressive. The continental options were not only delicious but also diverse, ensuring that there was something to cater to every palate. From freshly baked pastries, sausages, meats, cheeses, yogurts, pancakes, cereals to a colourful array of fruits and much more! We were spoiled for choice each morning. And what's more, the attentive staff made sure that everything was replenished promptly, leaving no room for dissatisfaction. The attention to cleanliness at this hotel was commendable. Each day, we returned to sparkling rooms and a spotless bathrooms. The beds were not only tidy but also incredibly comfortable, providing the perfect haven to rest after a day of exploring Lisbon. One of the standout features of the SANA Metropolitan Hotel was undoubtedly its exceptional hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable and content throughout our stay. Regular check-ins with guests were a testament to their dedication to customer satisfaction. It was clear that their genuine care and concern extended beyond mere duty. The staff's cheerful demeanour was infectious, as they engaged in delightful conversations with every guest. Their recommendations for exploring Lisbon were invaluable, and they even went the extra mile to help us book taxis and plan our excursions. Their warm and welcoming attitude made us feel like I was visiting friends rather than staying at a hotel. A moment that truly touched my heart was when I mentioned that it was my 10th wedding anniversary and my parents' 40th wedding anniversary. To my astonishment, the hotel staff decorated our room with balloons and flowers, and presented us with an exquisite assortment of fresh fruit, pastel da natas and a bottle of wine. It was a gesture that left us speechless and grateful for the thoughtfulness that defined our stay. The souvenir shop within the hotel was impressive and what was even more surprising was the reasonable pricing. I found some true gems in there that allowed me to take a piece of Lisbon's charm back home with me. All in all, our stay at the SANA Metropolitan Hotel in Lisbon was a remarkable experience. If you're looking for a place that combines impeccable hospitality, comfort, and genuine care, look no further than the SANA Metropolitan Hotel. Shini and Lloyd D'Cruz

We were put up here for the night by TAP due to an overnight flight delay at Lisbon airport, which seems to be a common reason for people staying here, as we had to wait for a short while at check in whilst other delayed passengers were checked in. The room was a little dated with only one plug socket. There is a nice bar on the ground floor with a smoking portion. Breakfast was busy but pretty decent.

I'm usually very psyched by any hotel that provides a robe and slippers. Hence, Sana gets 5 stars from me. Also, the buffet breakfast was quite the spread! The walls are on the thin side though. Next time I need to be in Lisbon, I'm staying here again.

Mostly very good, only a big shame to have to ask for a coffee machines in the room when it's something that is obvious in 4 star hotels. Then later had to ask for more coffee the next day and got it only late evening. Same for bath carpets, had to keep asking for them and service was very slow. Most staff are very nice , others need to be a bit more smiling.

Crowded almos all time. They have contract with few travel agency. Reception desk polite but a little bit arogant. Not so helpful. English language level to low. Room are cleaned each day. Impossible to fully open window. I's locked in close or half open. Breakfast...it's ok. Employees are helpful, polite and very active. The hours of breakfast it's between 07:00 to 10:00. On my opinion start to late and close to early. Elevator to old for 4 stars hotel and pushbutton have contact problems.

Stayed for a night with friends due to a missed connection flight. Mr. Costa(?) from the front desk did an amazing job getting all of us food and beds after a very stressful morning, and the 10pm staff was very helpful with providing sanitary products and answering questions 👍 Dinner buffet was great, rooms are quiet and location is convenient.

Got forced here by a TAP cancellation. Check-in went smooth, room was clean. Evening buffet was pretty bad, morning buffet was OK/average. The hotel is very boring and so is the sorrounding area. Planes go over every 5 minutes and ser very loud, even in the rooms.

Ok hotel for work trips. Needs more amnesties like pool or spa for a holiday destination. The breakfast pancakes were amazing! Staff generally had good manners apart from one of the gentelmen who was racist and angry and gave one of our friends the worst room and refused to change it for her.

A very good choice as business hotel with professional staff and all necessary amenities. The rooms have probably the biggest bed I have ever seen. It was definitely comfortable. Breakfast can be better

Very nice hotel, clean and well served by friendly and professional staff. The room was perfectly prepared, even with some sweet gift for our kids, which something you don't usually find, a nice surprise. Breakfast was a good continental one, quite complete. No negative points to share.

Good place for short stay, for example business trip, located nearby the airport, but quite far from the city center. Rooms are well equiped, but there is no door in the bathroom. Food is delicious, especially cakes. Very polite service.
