Visited on a Sunday to fulfill a wish of our son in love with Benfica. Easy to reach with the blue metro by getting off either at the Colegio Militar/Luz stop or at the previous Alto do Mhounos... in the first case you have to go around the block to reach the entrance. With 17 euros you have the opportunity to visit the museum and stadium, the ticket can be purchased inside the Benfica store. Specifically, the museum is spread over three levels, each of which follows a logical thread that leads from the origins of this glorious club to the present day without neglecting history, or rather the most important events in the recent contemporary history of man. Very well thought out I would add.. In the last section there is an area rightly dedicated to the myth of Eusebius and also a penalty shootout simulator which literally sends the little ones and even some parents and/or carers into raptures. The attentive, kind and friendly staff. The museum closes at 6pm

(Translated by Google) "The Benfica Museum - Cosme Damião is a museum dedicated to the history of Sport Lisboa e Benfica, the city of Lisbon and the world and is located outside the Estádio da Luz, in Lisbon, Portugal. The museum, named in memory of Cosme Damião, was inaugurated on July 26, 2013, under the presidency of Luís Filipe Vieira and opened to the public three days later, on July 29, a year and three months after its initial construction. The building, with an area of 4,000 square meters, has three floors accompanied by a huge showcase that displays around 500 trophies. The museum is divided into 29 thematic areas and contains, in total, about 1,000 trophies won by the different modalities of the club, and a collection of more than 30,000 pieces (of all types), as well as documents and audiovisual relating to the history of Benfica, inserted in the sociocultural context of Portugal (1755 Earthquake, Carnation Revolution) and the World (O Homem na Lua). The museum has several touch screens available with information about players, teams, games, etc., and a hologram of Eusébio. There is also a space dedicated to the fans of the club - "Viagem ao Coração Benfiquista" - where their photos are displayed, in repetition, and on this site there is an elevating platform surrounded by 120 televisions that show Benfica celebrations. It is, in the background, a video wall, in which it is possible to have an experience / simulation of the environment of the Estádio da Luz. Finally, at the museum's geodesic dome, an 18-minute film about Benfica's secular history is shown. (Translated by Google) National Museum of Theater and Dance. Russian ballets are in the history of dance and even probably in the history of preformative arts, the company that most texts, publications, conferences, books, catalogs, exhibitions and films originated and continues to originate on an almost planetary scale. From her troubled time in Lisbon, in a revolutionary Lisbon in the year 17/18, of the Ballets Russes, almost nothing was left except for the reception she had in the press at the time. But it remained, and above all the influence that the Ballet Russes had on some of our greatest artists, with Almada Negreiros at the head, not forgetting Antonio Ferro who, without being an artist, the fascination that company aroused led him to create later, 1940 The ballet company Verde Gaio, the first Portuguese dance company, conceived to our scale and dimension. The National Theater Museum, designated the National Theater and Dance Museum since January 2015, was opened in 1985. It is inserted in the Paço do Lumiar area in the former palace of Monteiro - Mor, and is visitable from 10h00 to 18h00. Has restaurant and cafeteria Free: Sundays and holidays from 10h00 to 14h00. It has about 250,000 pieces, including sets, costumes, costumes, stage props, posters and programs, and photographs!

Bought the combination ticket with entry to the stadium. The museum offers a lot of information about the entire sports period of Lisbon. I have never seen so many trophies and awards as in this museum. Overwhelming. Well done. Interesting contemporary history.

It's best to get a combination ticket with a stadium tour. For a single price of 10 euros, I would rather skip the museum. The exhibition consists largely of trophies won by Benfica and there have been quite a few of them over the last 100 years. There are also some artefacts relating to the club here. At the end there is a table tennis table and a goal wall so you can do your own sports.

The museums okay but we rushed through as most of the trophies inside aren’t related to the football team and they’ve got tons of areas fully of random world events that aren’t related, such as the moon landing, world wars etc. The saving grace was the virtual penalty shootout area on the top floor.

Liked it very much, well organized. It shows the glorious history of the club, with lots of memorabilia, staff is very nice and knowledgeable about the exhibit. We did the stadium walk-around and that was very pleasant. The price is affordable IMO. We got some discount in the official shop.

Loved the Benfica experience in the museum. And the 10 mins video wraps up 120 years of SLB Club in a very dynamic way. Cheap access and nice stadium btw. Besides club has 3 eagles on the pitch. Quite impressive.

A nice museum! Lots of things to see and explanations in English. Love that there are games/activities on the second floor, for the kids to burn off energy. Super nice staff throughout, to lend a hand. A nice complement to the stadium tour.

We did the tour with the museum experience, purchased the tickets on site, no wait for the tickets. Ince you get inside it will take you a few minutes to start with the tour guide. You walk around the stadium, the dressing room and get to meet the eagle Mascots. Save your entry ticket if you plan to purchase at the official benfica store for a 10% discount

I'm not big fan of football but this museum was just WOW!!!! The history, the feeling, the expositions, the way how museum is made it is amazing! And even person like me get involved! The room with visualisation of fans support Benfica make tears coming to my eye and I had goosebumps!!!! In the end of tour at museum is place to get penalty shots, ping pong table and colouring place for kids. Very highly recommended experience!!!

We loved it!!! The museum has 3 floors, we must follow the arrows/numbers to follow the 'guideline' and the layout is very well organized. The condition of the pieces is excellent and the way they are presented is creative. Very informative and complete, not only about the club's history but nationally and globally. Absolutely majestic! A fantastic experience, we highly recommend it.

If you're visiting the Benfica stadium then stopping into the museum is a must. Excellent detail of the history of Benfica as both a football club and sporting institution. Great timeline feature is included which charts the history of Benfica alongside key moments in world and Portugese history. I particularly enjoyed the section that paid homage to Eusebio as well as the assortment of overseas players that have played for Benfica through the ages. I purchased the tickets through the Get Your Guide app and was bought in conjunction with the stadium tour. This also gave you 10% off in the Benfica club store. There are 3 floors to the museum and I would suggest you give yourself at least 45 minutes to look at all the exhibitions properly. On the top floor there are also interactive activities for young children such as the option to take penalties against a virtual goalkeeper. The Eagles were not in their perch when we visited but they can also be observed in the museum for feeding time. The museum does include a small section, right at the beginning, that is dedicated to the Benfica women's team. Naturally one would hope as time goes on that this will expand. In terms of food options. There are a few eateries (snacks) outside the museum on non match days but would be best to plan to eat elsewhere for something more substantial.

The museum is quite big, with 3 floors and almost 30 stations. We bought a family combined ticket (with a stadium visit) at a discount which is almost the price of the membership card itself. If you plan a combined visit and purchasing from the store it may be worth first to have the membership card. A big section (perhaps too big) for trophies, of all sports, including football, tennis, basketball, handball and swimming. You can't see it all, but there are quite special ones which deserve attention. Other sections present shoes and uniforms, I find the historical gear, and the evolution of shoes for example is more interesting than just seeing modern gear. There was a small show with some historical milestones along the 20th century which was interesting for old people like me. For the children, most of it was not that interesting and somewhat tedious. On the 3rd floor, there is a playroom with table tennis, a penalty kick simulator, a table with paints and drawings for the little ones, and a snack vending machine.

Huge museum over 3 floors. Admission is steep but okay when combined with the stadium tour. There are many exhibits in the museum that go far beyond football. The section dedicated to Eusebio was particularly great

(Translated by Google) The museums are both very interesting. They have very interesting spoils. They have excellent garden / green spaces. They deserve to be visited. I have visited them many times. I've done work with students about Costume's (awarded). However: They urgently need to lose the musty smell, to modernize, to find new exhibition solutions, to rethink communication for the visitor. They have very interesting reserve collections. They cannot always be the same (in permanent exhibitions - for so long). More needs to be done to call the public. I took a young board working in London and around the world. It was disappointing. I've been making excuses for how little there was to give. I am going to do some work on student attire this year and on a colleague's proposal to go to the Costume Museum, I said I wouldn't go. It would not be interesting to them. They also need cleaning / arrangement in the forest areas. One wonders if it is a safe area. But I want to take them back.

I have been in many museum in Lisbon where I was the only visitor at that time, but I never felt like being followed as much as I was feeling in this museum. It is normal that the security should be inspecting the area of the visit, but in here the woman responsible was literally following me. I felt so uncomfortable, and I could not enjoy the museum at all. She was following me and walking with me in each room that i went and if i was not on her sight, like if there was an item on the middle of the room and i was on the other side, she changed her place and walk with her neck bending to my side to see where I am. It was very unpleasant and i felt offended. Regardless of that, the museum was very small. The first floor was temporary exhibition and second floor is the permanent exhibition. Permanent exhibition included the minature samples of theatre stage which was pretty interesting and a room full of photos of actors and some costumes related to the Ballet dancers. One other negative points was that there were no English translation for the description if any. The museum is conected to a very nice park which then tails to the other museum, museum of costumes.

Im big fan of football but that museum is one of the worstest i had been. And one thing more. I bought ticket for stadium tour at 1pm. Then i can not use it, because next Day they had match. So we want to return ticket reason was Simple. I bought it The same Day from ticket machine i dont get any warn. After Phone with operator they tell us that tickets are valid one year, so who want to buy 4 tickets for tour? I dont want fly over 3000km to visit this stadium. Hence my advise to stuff- turn off option to buy tickets for stadium/museum at The Day when they are closed, or post the notice. But i really enjoy at the FC PORTO stadium.

Stadium is really beautiful, we took a tour and a museum tickets. Tour took around 30 minutes, we got to see stadium itself, back rooms for the first players. Highlight was beautiful eagles which were trainees for their famous pre game flight. Ticket included the museum as well, which I would definitely enjoy more if I new more about Portuguese sport history :)

As a football fan, this is one of the best football museums I've ever been. I visited the stadium without much expectations, since the club has never been on top level of europe best teams in the last decade. But I admit this is one of the best I've ever visited (and I've been to Arsenal, Man U, Barcelona, Real Madrid, etc). I started with the stadium tour, which was guided by Rita. She was great, giving explanation about the main areas in portuguese and english. The tour lasted about 40 min and we had plenty of time for photos. I was just a little bit disappointed by the fact we weren't allowed to visit the home team's changing room, for security reasons. Come on, are you afraid that spies or terrorists will steal the gameplan? Later I went to the museum and I was impressed by the display the came up with. Plenty of info about the club's history and its greatest players. They also displayed historical context regarding Portugal and Lisbon and the world (there's a funny replica of King Kong on top of the Empire State). Unfortunately I couldn't spend much time to read or watch everything they had. There are some nice videos showing the atmosphere in the stadium and in the city. There are members of staff around that can give information regarding the club and what to see.

I enjoyed the visit to the Benfica Cosme Damião museum. It is a large museum, with the complete history of Benfica in all sports throughout Benfica's great history. I had no idea of the countless trophies that Benfica won in the most varied sporting categories. I recommend visiting this museum.
