Ten reasons why I love it is because everything ordinary looks spectacular there 1) it has the cold and warm greenhouse 2) the green is all richly greenery! 3) has all manner of cactus 4) some orange looking ornamental fish 5) the preserved quarry pit 6)beautiful flowers, purple, pink, yellow, peach (I think) 7) statutes known to Portugal 8) a pond you can find ducks, pigeons, oh I saw two peacocks (not the best type of peacocks anyway) 9) it has all manner of plants 10) the view point is epic and the whole garden is absolutely great for pictures

For visitors: Worth a visit ONLY if you have enough time. If on a tight schedule, I would rather do 50 other things (and other parks) in Lisbon before I did this decent looking park. Of course, if I lived in Lisbon, I would probably leave most of the ‘50 things’ (mentioned above) for a walk in a park…any park. As a visitor, I enjoyed the ‘Botanical Garden’ more.

Beautiful place to just sit and enjoy the weather. The park is full of benches so there's plenty of places to sit. There are also dogs that run loose on the grassy area which is super fun to watch.

What to say about Parque Eduardo VII? This is, to me, the most impressive and picturesque public park in all of Lisbon. It houses a vast green area in the middle of the city's financial district. Right in the middle, it features a short-bush maze, great for people of all ages to figure out. If you want to go out for a picnic, this is a great place to do it, as it has a public bathroom inside, and there are many food options around if you don't feel like prepping at home. The park is built on a slope that, once you reach the upper part, it offers beautiful views of the city, including some monuments, like the Marques de Pombal, important buildings, and, of course, the Tegus River. It houses the Estufa Fria (greenhouse), children's playgrounds, an overlook point (miradouro), walking/running paths, hills, public bathroom, restaurants, etc. I highly recommend it!

Located in a very central spot, it offers a huge area to walk, run or even play with your dog! It has a metro and a bus station nearby as well

A very beautiful place to visit. It's a huge park with many trails. Beautiful design with plants. You should definitely visit this place. Especially these days, as it has been decorated for Christmas, very eventful and full of activities. There are some rides for the kids. There is an ice skating area setup, which is temporary during Christmas 🎄 period.

Stunning park overlooking the city with a cool Christmas Wonderland installation at the moment. Great for adults, great for kids! Plenty of food and drink options including rides, Ferris wheel and even ice skating! We walked up to the top of the park with the view over Lisboa and the LARGEST Portuguese flag I've ever seen.. in fact, probably the largest flag ever seen! It is a great spot for tourists to take in the view, and capture some great pics and video of the beautiful park and city beyond. They even have Santa and plenty of rides for the kids as well as the needed facilities to manage the number of people walking through 😉. I would imagine it will get much busier of an evening - especially as we get closer to Christmas.. but definitely well worth a visit. There isn't much undercover so if it's raining, I'd suggest leaving it to another time! Definitely worth making the time to visit, only 20-30 minute walk up the main road .. whilst looking longingly in all the luxury stores!!! For sure worth checking out 🫶

Lovely park avenue running on a central downslope with (at Christmas time) stalls and rides for kids along the way. Start at the top so you can walk downhill towards the river.

Lovely park across from our hotel, there was children's play area and steep walk up to the top which had views across the river and city.

The entire park was riddled with loud construction everywhere. It was very unpleasant having to navigate our way through the trucks and equipment throughout the park. A total opposite experience that we were expecting. The park did not seem like it should have been open. The one thing we did enjoy however was the green house.

Fantastic place! We visited the Winter Wonderland and loved the choice of food (albeit on the expensive side), the ice skating for free and general atmosphere.

Such a nice park to have a walk (my husband run there in the morning ) and see the city with the ocean view. We often went while we were living near there.

I had never explored the entire park, and knew the side near the Intercontinental better. But the opposite side is really lovely with a beautiful sculpture garden and vistas that give an excellent photo op to shoot Mqs. Pombal! Lots of dog walkers too!

This is a very good park. There is always events in Pavilhão Carlos lopes which is inside this park. It’s very green place and sunny, making the day looks much better. There is a lot of hostels close to this location and also food. I like to go there for a walk or just sit and relax, and then going for some food or coffee. There’s a very nice view at the top also where you can get nice pictures and even see good part of the city. I totally recommend it especialista if you are a tourist.

Beautiful garden with diverse flora. It is an ideal location in the middle of the bustling city for a little tranquility, an eye-catching walk, and it’s also a must-see tourist attraction. The huge-rooted trees erupting from the ground and the sculptures enchant the park into a fairytale landscape.

What a beautiful place to enjoy some leisurely time doing nothing at all. The views from the north end are all the way down to the river and across. It's a great park to stroll through or sit down either on a bench, the lawn or a great little rest stop offering drinks and small plates. Don't forget to cross the street at the north end to continue walking through some beautiful gardens and water feature. Just wish that they would trim the hedges to keep their straight lines.

We visited this park after a full day of walking around Lisbon. We were not expecting to walk up hill to see the view point. We were already drained from our exploring walking day. Lol. Maybe this tainted my review. Nice view point, but definitely not my favorite in Lisbon.

Eduardo VII Park in Lisbon unquestionably deserves a five-star review! This green oasis is a true gem of the city. With its vast lawns, well-maintained gardens, and spectacular views of the city, it's the perfect place for a leisurely stroll or a picnic. The grand Estufa Fria greenhouse and the majestic statue of Marquês de Pombal are must-see highlights. Moreover, its central location makes it easily accessible. A peaceful haven in the heart of Lisbon that enchants both visitors and locals alike. I highly recommend a visit to Eduardo VII Park.

During my recent trip to Lisbon, I had the pleasure of visiting Parque Eduardo VII, and it was an experience that exceeded all expectations. Situated in the heart of the city, this expansive urban park offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, recreational opportunities, and stunning panoramic views. As I entered the park, I was immediately struck by the grandeur of its design. The wide avenues lined with towering trees and lush greenery created a serene atmosphere, providing a welcome escape from the bustling streets of Lisbon. I took my time wandering through the park's winding pathways, admiring the diverse array of plants and flowers that adorned the landscape. One of the highlights of my visit was reaching the Miradouro do Parque Eduardo VII, a breathtaking viewpoint located at the top of the park. From here, I was treated to sweeping views of Lisbon's iconic skyline, with the Tagus River stretching out in the distance. It was the perfect spot to sit and soak in the beauty of the city while enjoying a moment of tranquility. As I continued to explore the park, I discovered a variety of recreational facilities, including playgrounds, picnic areas, and even a greenhouse filled with exotic plants. Whether you're looking to relax with a book, enjoy a leisurely stroll, or simply take in the scenery, Parque Eduardo VII has something for everyone. Overall, my visit to Parque Eduardo VII was a truly memorable experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lisbon. With its stunning natural beauty, panoramic views, and abundance of recreational activities, it's the perfect destination for a day of relaxation and exploration in the heart of the city.

A otherwise beautiful park. Unfortunately we got here the week before the popes visit, which meant there were trucks and construction everywhere. Still, can recommend both the park and it's surrounding cafés.

This is a park located in the Center of the city at the top of Avenida da liberdade, if you go all th way to the top and stand behind a raised piece of stone that marks the centre of the park and look down on the city below, you can see its symmetry and you get a feeling of grandiosity.

(Translated by Google) The park is good for animals to play at will, it is quite large. It is just a pity that a recent park does not even have animals to drink water from. Not to mention the way it is fenced, in which smaller dogs may be able to get out, as the toys that we throw will stop outside the park (ex: ball). The entrance doors are unfortunate, full of rust, it takes some effort to open / close the doors. It has two entrances, very far from each other ... you must always be careful to check that both are closed, before releasing the dog. And it already has some holes, which can cause the animal to cripple while playing. In general the park is good, I keep going there, only it needs maintenance and a water cooler.

One of the oldest public parks. But it's without maintenance and with the destruction of 2 large pine trees to build a staircase, which is not even accessible by reduced mobility

So huge and beautiful park. My favorite one ❤️. There are several cafe, greatest views. And also museum with azulejo frescoes.

Honestly, it's a simple park, but the fairs they do are fun and you have a really good time. Other than that the view up at the top is pretty amazing and great for your trip pictures!

Most picturesque part of Lisbon. Beautiful and well kept. Benches provided to sit and relax.

One of the most enjoyable and iconic Lisbon gardens. You can see most of downtown and the Tagus River. There are several fairs in this place all year around.

Emblematic park in the heart of the capital - Lisbon. Stage of events and meetings. Such as Christmas fairs, book fairs and other events. Essential point for the famous "green" corridor of the capital, which connects the heart of the city and the green park - the lung of the city. Well equipped is also Lisbon's cold greenhouse.

Not my favorite thing in Lisbon. It appeared to be under construction, but a nice starting point for a walk into central Lisbon

Lovely park up a hill. Theres a monument up the top which gives amazing views of the downtown area of Lisbon. Was a lovely trip at 6pm to watch the sunset.

This (at least currently) is pretty much only worth a visit for the view and the beautiful Carlos Lopes Pavillion. Still, there are benches to sit and feel out of the busy streets for a bit. Continue on up for a view of much of Lisbon.

Absolutely beautiful place. The symmetry, the tidiness and the green and lushness is simpy breathtaking. Also has 3 metro stops nearby so very easy to get to

A nice park with stunning views. Midday is fairly quiet and serene.

Stunning green space overlooking Lisbon. Worth the fairly steep gradual walk up to the top to be rewarded with fabulous views. Free to enter. Sightseeing tour buses do stop at the top too by the deck/fountain. There are a few cafes dotted around the park too for a quick snack/drink. I didn’t see any toilet facilities in the park but presume the cafes may do, but you may have to be a customer to use their facilities. Perfect spot for a quick escape of the hustle & bustle with many people walking/jogging or just watching the walk go by. There is a renowned book fair held here and at Christmas it transforms into a Winter Wonderland festival, so look out for those. As you’re looking down the park from the top, the right hand side did have some repairs to the footpath going on when I was there (Nov 2021).

The most central park in Lisbon, with a beautiful view towards the river, one of my favourite spots, highly recommend it for a stroll or a picnic.

It was nice to see the open green space in the middle of the city. For the people and dogs. A lot of effort was made for the bush pattern . Stone walkways were great.

The best park in Lisbon for a picnic, beautiful paths on either side, always lots of happy people around, there’s a small cafe and playground for children and an excellent gardens to go through for only a couple euro

The chapel of bones was good,so was the Roman remains all in Evora and the cathedral also the Jose Maria Da Fonseca winery, the only problem was with the guide who has soon as you started taking a photo kept saying come on hurry up which spoiled the day,we were only given 20 minutes at one street to look at some gift shops the firm is called me grayline we were very disappointed with the guide we ended up with me

To do to enjoy the view of the entire lower town of Lisbon and the castle. But on the other hand, no frills, decorations or flowers in this park built in 1915, in memory of Edward VII who visited Portugal in 1902. The climb along the park is quite sad. We get some pictures and a good walk. Note however, at the top of the observatory of the park, there is the Amalia Rodrigues garden with a superb sculpture by Botero, the "Maternity".

Peaceful place Bit hilly and there's nice public restrooms near the entrance. First stop of the city tour bus

A beautiful park with a moving tribute to democracy on one end and a reminder of the violent capitalist power that built Portugal at the other. It's hard to beat the view from the top of the hill.

Take a moment away from the city. Enjoy the sunset here. Watch the dogs play through the maize. Recommendation for fun... Rent a scooter up from the statue up to the flag/fountain. It's well worth the few dollars.

There is a long walk uphill to the top but fantastic views down to the river make it well worth it. Visited on a Sunday so few cafes etc were open and needed a bottle of water. There is a restaurant next to it but very snooty and wouldn't allow a drink without food.

Cool central park area in downtown Lisbon. The metro is located right at the base, in addition to parking underneath, and even tourist transports, if your into that. The green space is huge and asends to several areas for a view to the waterway or head to restaurants above. There are activities and walkways including free atriums.

We were there for World Youth Day 2023. Crowds were immense but the grounds of the park were beautiful and the surrounding area very clean. Looks like a wonderful park.

At this site, the WYD 2023 inaugural mass was conducted in the esteemed presence of Pope Francis, drawing a gathering of approximately 300,000 youth. Being part of this extraordinary moment in Portugal's history was an exceptional privilege.

Excellent green space. Says nicer to walk through a park. Great to see the city support these spaces. A little upkeep was in order on my visit.

Schöner Park mit tollem Blick. Leider wahr Weltjugendtag als wir dort waren. Oben am Berg ist eine super moderne Bar und Restaurant das sehr empfehlenswert ist wenn man Schick essen oder einen Drink nehmen möchte.

Wonderful park for day to day activities and getting some fresh air and sun for the 🏃‍♂️ running, love it

  • 3/5 Nikola S. 5 months ago on Google
Nice view over the city all the way to the river. Another positive thing is the interesting original lightning and access to Estufa Fria. On the other hand, the park itself obviously lacks a lot of maintenance (like most things in Lisbon). Trees and grass are dying along the central paths because of lack of water, the main path is very uneven and wavy like they didn't touch it since it was made and the iconic shrub parterre in the middle is missing the last portion (I guess they build a garage under it and never bothered to return it to the original state). It's sad that a place on an ideal position and with such views is not treated as it deserves.

Very good place for walkies. There is a nice part of a park where you can work out using special equipment.
