Close to the airport and near many destinations, it is easy to get around from this hostel. It functions more like a dormitory with shared bathrooms, tons of social planned social activities (pub crawls, yoga, walking tours, etc.) Extra charges include buffet breakfast (€7), towels (€2), and key (€10 but you get it back). The place is very clean and modern with a spacious kitchen, dining room and garden. It’s also connected to the restaurant/bar nearby. Highly recommend for your stay in Lisbon! Downside: bathrooms need more shelves/hooks, there’s no where to put your toiletries.

This hostel was the best of my life! The bed is comfortable, the kitchen is equipped, the garden is the best part of the hostel! The localization is very nice with market and station metro near. The hostel is in the good neighborhood, so it’s cheaper you have lunch like a local people. We can pass some time on the garden making exercises or just enjoying the sun! There’s programs everyday and special food for a cheap price

I’ve booked a bed in a 4 girls dormitory with garden view and expected at least a calm place to sleep one night. What I got? The room was too small for even 2 people how comes they offer it for 4? It was directly on the street and the isolation is terrible! Noises from outside and inside everything to hear! Thank god my roommate was nice and calm. I’ve spent there one night and even regret this night as I couldn’t sleep. The wifi didn’t work properly and the electricity went on and off every 5 minutes. The service didn’t explain anything nor apologize. There’s no elevator so you have to carry your luggage through stairs! Even for the luggage room and the staff was not helpful at all!! A guest (a guy) offered to help me with my big suitcase to bring it to the luggage room! It’s a big shame for an international hostel that should be reported!

The place itself is quite nice. The building is stylish and beautiful inside. Nice garden and basic breakfast. However, the noise is something you can’t ignore especially when you live close to the shared bathroom. People can still frequently take a shower, dry hair, talk and laugh loudly after midnight. The room is not noise-free at all. The worst thing is it can amplify the sound. The normal sound can be very loud and annoying. Earplugs are available in the room but they can’t help anything. We stayed two nights there. The first night was nightmare. A group of people kept talking and laughing and running until 3am. It was impossible to sleep as all. The staff are nice and helpful. Even it is not possible to change the room, they helped to negotiate with these people and it is much better for the second night. It would be nice to tell people to avoid making noise after midnight.

This is probably the best hostel that I’ve stayed at. The facility (bed, bathroom, common area, etc.) is clean. There are ovens, microwaves, and everything you need to make proper meals here. And the best of all: they have a garden where you can chill in the lovely Lisbon weather. The prices for drinks at their bars (both outdoor in the garden and indoor) were reasonable as well. Highly recommended for your stay in Lisbon, especially if you’re traveling solo. I’ve met really amazing people here during my trip!

It is one of the best hostels I ever stayed! Definitely the most incredible one. The gardens are just breathtaking and to complete your morning, the amazing breakfast will be just perfect. The beds are super comfy and they have really nice bathrooms. EVERYTHING OS EXTREMELY CLEAN all day. The highlight goes to the bar and the staff that is super cool and have the best vibes always! Can wait to be back!

The rooms are clean and there are lockers for you luggage. The bathrooms are kept clean as well. Downstairs there is a very large kitchen with all you need, as well as a dining place and a bar. The backyard is amazing too. The staff is very helpful and friendly. And the place is very lively overall.

One of the most beautiful hostels I've ever stayed at. There are 3 gardens, and you can pick fresh oranges every day from the inside treats. The staff was amazing, especially Luis with his daily smile. The kitchen is great for cooking, even if you don't plan to cook. The location is excellent as well.

Best Hostel I've ever stayed in. The staff were the most lovely humans, so warm, inclusive and friendly, especially Tato, who I hope will be a friend for life. I felt so at home here I felt genuinely sad to leave. Breakfast is decent, all the basic amenities are there and location is pretty good. The architecture, period features and garden in the hostel are so beautiful. I really enjoyed my stay

The hostel is okay, but is not as nice as it looks in the pictures. It is not as big or as grand, and the breakfast is mediocre. The main issue we had were the rooms - when booking a twin private room it showed a picture of a pretty room with 2 single beds next to one another which is why we booked it. When my friend and I arrived they showed us to a room in the basement, with no proper window and a bunk bed. We were so uncomfortable in this dingy room and asked to be moved, but had arrived at night and there were no other rooms available. The guy behind the counter was so unhelpful and didn't offer to move us to a different room for the next night, just told us to ask the morning staff to do that for us. There were some hairs on the bed and we barely slept all night. The next morning we just decided we had to leave because the atmosphere of our dingy basement room and the unhelpful staff made us feel so uncomfortable. After asking at the front desk, chasing up with an email and a visit the next day the hostel gave us a refund for the 2 nights we didn't stay, but not the one we stayed there for. I feel this was fair, as the hostel eventually handled our issue well, but it required some effort on our part, and the actual hostel and its staff when we arrived made us very uncomfortable.

This is such a great hostel! Got the pleasure to book as soon as they reopened after the quarentine. The building is out of mind and the multiple patios are a huge plus for sure.

My daughter booked the room for the incorrect dates. We canceled, but late. Be careful unlike other hostels they will collect the full booking instead of just the deposit and first night! Just make sure to read the fine print.

I had such a pleasant stay at the hostel. The staff was really friendly, the rooms and the other facilities absolutely perfectly clean and I was lucky to have the roommates that didn't snore and generally were quiet during the night. The breakfast is just a simple bread with ham and cheese. You have some fruits to choose from, some cereal, tea and coffee. It's eat as you want for 5 eur, so it's pretty much worth the price. Don't forget to bring your own lock as they're not provided

Loved staying here. Nice, clean hostel and very friendly staff. The beautiful garden in the back is also a great plus! It is a lovely place to work/chill. Would recommend this place! I did not spend any time at the bar but I do think it would be a great place to meet people if you're travelling solo :).

We had a terrific stay at Sant Jordi. The building is a beautiful converted monastery, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, the common areas are top notch (including a giant kitchen, a beautiful garden and a great bar). The building also smells like a cake shop (in a good way). Highly recommended

Super cool hostel. The historical and very well maintained building, with modern installations, is part of the magic atmosphere. Kitchen, rooms, bathrooms well cleaned all the time and well equipped. The beautiful garden is a plus. Staff super kind and careful.

Good location (15-20 min walk from Rossio train station or metro/tram nearby), very beautiful hall and room. We had bathroom in the room (10 beds) but it was a bit dirty, full of old towels and without hairdryer, so i used shared ones which were excellent. Room was big enough and it was looking at nice garden with bar (it was noisy until around 23h). Room was close to entrance hall so you could hear noise from there. Bed was comfortable, with curtains and huge locker.

Sant Jordi is one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at. It accommodates the fun social experience while still maintaining healthy comfortable living/sleeping conditions. The rooms are appropriately spacious, well ventilated and consider the privacy of each guest. The staff was extremely kind, helpful and sincere. I didn't get the breakfast but it was cheap and smelled and looked great. Would definitely stay there again.

I only have one bad thing to say - the room that I was in was very loud and right next to the street. Made it a little hard to fall asleep but that’s okay! Otherwise the hostel is amazing and beautiful. You can organize tours through the hostel, there’s a bar bkth inside and outside, and the back garden is beautiful. This hostel is also really great for solo travelers because of the activities + most of the people seem to be younger backpackers. It would also be great to stay at with a partner!

  • 5/5 Marla K. 11 months ago on Google
I stayed here for my first solo trip and it was the best decision! I booked a private room as I wanted the social aspect of a hostel while having the privacy of a hotel. The room was really clean, spacious, let in lots of light, and had a small unit for me to hang up clothes. The bathroom was just opposite and while it was shared, it was clean and everyone was respectful. I stayed for a week and met some wonderful people. The volunteers at the hostel are really warm and friendly. You can book excursions (walking tours, fado tours, pub crawls) through the hostel - they're super fun! I'd definitely recommend if you're travelling solo. And the hostel itself is gorgeous - even the reception area. The back garden is lush and makes for such a relaxing dining experience, plus the bar is really nicely decorated and the drinks are super cheap! All in all, I would highly recommend Sant Jordi Lisbon :)

It was the first stop and my first solo trip in general. Sant Jordi Hostel was perfect!! The staff was super nice and made me feel like I was at home from the first moment on. I met the nicest people and made amazing memories. The rooms are very nice and the common areas are so so pretty and fancy you forget that you are not in some expensive hotel. With the metro you are so quick in the center and you have the nicest viewpoints in walking distance where you can watch amazing sunsets. So all in all 10/10! Big thanks to the entire team!!

One of the best hostels I have ever stayed at. The staff was super friendly, the room and bathroom were always very clean, and the house was beautiful and big. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were spacious and we had a big balcony. The garden was huge with a bar and a chillout area. Definitely the best hostel in Lisbon from what I have heard and from my experience. Yes, it is not the cheapest but definitely worth it.

Awesome place! My friends and I had a really pleasant stay during our trip to Lisbon. The dorms are clean and luminous, with spacious lockers to keep your stuff. The beds are big and very comfortable, curtains on beds give you privacy. Bathrooms and hallways are always clean. We were greeted by very friendly staff who were at our disposal during all our stay, giving some advice about the city and just being open to communication. They serve a very diverse breakfast and the kitchen is big and fully equipped, so it’s comfortable to cook there. It’s impossible not to mention a quiet and beautiful garden of the hostel and a bar with a great vibe where you can make a lot of new acquaintances in the evening! The also provide you with a wide range of activities every day, so I’m sure it’s impossible to feel bored or lonely even for solo travellers. Will come back 100%!

Beautiful hostel (and a former nunnery) with private garden, a bar, a huge kitchen and the cleanest rooms and bathrooms. The beds have curtains and partitions for maximum privacy. The hostel is in a quieter part of town but only a 10min walk from Alfama. Despite the groups of young travellers it was reasonably quiet after 10:30 PM and everybody was respectful. The best hostel I have ever stayed at.

  • 2/5 Tristin E. 8 months ago on Google
The hostel is a beautiful historic building with great amenities. There is an amazing bar, garden, kitchen, and food. The location is in the hills of Lisbon in a semi rough area, not touristy, so expect a walk to the downtown area or metro. My personal experience was very poor because of the noise of the guests, slamming doors at 01:00 or 02:00, and careless roommates turning on lights and arriving drunk at 03:00. The walls are thin so bring earplugs. But if you like the liveliness of the guests, this would be a good party hostel.

Good place to stay in Lisbon. Nice building, rooms, bathrooms. It's always clean and they have activities every day to meet other guests. It's not in the middle of downtown, so you'll have to walk a little (20-30 mins) or take the metro to get there. You have to pay for towels and shower gel, but besides that, no complaints, overall great experience.

This Hostel is the best one that I have seen so far. Nice staff, comfortable rooms for four people, nice bar for spending your evenings. They have okay breakfast with very few options which could be better. They don’t have lockers to keep your precious stuff, only small compartments underneath the bed which was satisfactory. Overall, I consider my stay there was quite good and recommend the ones visiting Lisbon pay a visit to Saint Jordi Hostels as well!

Everything was great. Cleanliness - five stars. Staff - five stars. Comfort - five stars. Interior - five stars. Exterior - five stars. Common area was spacious with good wifi for calls if you need. Kitchen was very well equipped, you can cook almost anything in there. They recycle and take it seriously, which I appreciate. Bathrooms were clean, cleaner than in some other hotels I have been to. The location of the hostel is its biggest advantage. The tram 28 stops right in front of the hostel, the supermarket Lidl is right around the corner, metro station is 5 min away from the hostel, train station is 15 min away, the river and the main Praca de Commerce is 20 min away.

Super clean and fresh Hostel. Great Kitchen and dining area, amazing garden and outdoor bar where you could spend the evenings in a cozy environment. Over the top Service, especially from André and Luis who were genuinely friendly and took time for answering questions and giving good advices of sightseeing and activities around the city. Had a really pleasant stay at Sant Jordi Hostel Lisbon and will definitely stay there next time I visit Lisbon.

I was here 4 days during my staying in Lisbon. I was travelling alone and it was my first time in Lisbon, but the staff was always ready to help me. They're all very friendly, helpful and polite. Common spaces are perfect to make new friends or just to relax. I loved the building and the style. Last but not least, the cleaning was basically perfect and even though most of the bathrooms are in common with more dorms or rooms, they were always clean. I'll definitely come back here during my next trip to Lisbon.

Good spot. In an incredible area far from most of the tourists. Crowd at the Hostel is really cool. Not too pretentious but also not too trashy. The building and courtyard are gorgeous. Some other guests felt it was a loud area, but most of Lisbon is pretty busy and loud, and this spot is pretty quiet compared with the Barrio Alto area. The staff are really accommodating and genuinely care about your experience of Lisbon. Shout out to Tato, Raquel and Chris for being especially super rad hosts.

I spend two wonderful days in St Jordi hostel ! Wish I could stay a bit longer. Dormitory’s are well designed, common places are welcoming, the inner garden…Beautiful! And Most of all, the staff is at the top ! Jordi and Joana helped me with my bike, gave all the information I needed. I’m very grateful for their hosting :) I highly recommend !

Great hostel, clean and comfortable bed, staff are helpful, friendly with smile. Especially the boy who helped to check out. Breakfast of 3.5€ is value for money, filling enough to support one day’s hiking Juice, coffee, toast, cheese, pastry. Also a ticket of free shoot as a welcome gift is so sweet even though I didn’t use it.

Such an amazing hostel, i will for sure be coming back here when i visit lisbon again. The beds are amazing and allow for a lot of privacy with the curtain and having a plug, usb ports and a light inside your own bed. The staff were amazing and super accommodating. I had such an amazing view from my balcony! 10/10 recommend staying here!

Beautiful hostel with lovely private ensuite rooms and facilities. Only downside is we had a complaint about a very specific noise in the room itself which kept us awake every night (a loud and inconsistent buzzing sound coming from either the heating or electricity), and staff did not take the time to understand our complaint and were even negating our experience.

I stayed at Sant Jordi in Lisbon for 5 nights, and It exceeded my expectations! For one, the building itself was absolutely stunning! I felt at home and made amazing friends during my stay in the all-female dorms. The breakfast was great, and there was activities on offer every day! The staff were really nice and welcoming, and one even took me to a friends place where they cooked me an authentic dinner! Shout out to Andre for being absolutley amazing and making me feel right at home! I enjoyed the laughs and meeting new people. I am looking forward to visiting again :) I have 0 complaints!

  • 5/5 Rhys C. 1 year ago on Google
Recommend Sant Jordi highly. Great beer garden and bar, which is perfect for meeting people and I enjoyed the dinner. Staff are fantastic, but a particular shout-out to Andres on the overnight shift. When I returned to the hostel without a phone (due to it being stolen) he was unbelievably helpful, even updating my friends as I slept. Hope to be back someday!

Perfect hostel that has everything you need: comfortable beds/rooms, nice kitchen, co-working space, bar and a big garden. It's also located right at the famous tram #28 in a beautiful old building. Breakfast is recommendable.

  • 5/5 Troy L. 1 year ago on Google
Great hostel! Room was really nice and spacious for an 8-bed dorm. Washrooms were nice, although having to press a button every 5 seconds to keep the water running the shower was a pain. Both the outdoor and indoor common arrays were really nice, and breakfast was decent. Bar prices were very reasonable, and they have plenty of tours that are easy to join. Close to the city center while being just far enough away for a little peace & quiet. One of the better places I've stayed at for sure.

Probably the best hostel I've stayed at so far, amazing staff, very clean, amazing amenities, and great beds with good privacy. They have two really nice gardens in the back, and the hostel itself was an amazingly pretty building. Most importantly the atmosphere was one of the best I've been to as well, met tons of great people!

  • 5/5 Tommaso T. 1 year ago on Google
Beautiful 4 days of experience in this hostel! Clean and big with a beautiful garden and fantastic common areas! I talked with so many people and discovered so many things. At the reception, I was mostly helped by Vini and Valentina, two fantastic people, always smiling and giving you good vibes! Really recommended even for people, like me, that never been in hostels!

  • 2/5 Manon Q. 1 year ago on Google
We stayed there for a week, in a private bedroom with communal bathrooms. WHAT A MISTAKE! This place is the loudest I have even been to and the walls are super thin. We basically could not sleep very much at night because there was always someone smashing doors by going to the bathrooms. Speaking of the bathrooms, 3 showers and 4 toilettes for a whole level with more than 15 people is very disrespectful for your guests!! You have 0 intimacy and the bathrooms are not super clean. The staff is for most friendly but they don't explain anything to you when you check in. The breakfast was decent but very basic. I give 2 stars because the outside area is absolutely amazing and beautiful and because the hostel is well located. Besides that, I wouldn't recommend this place and we will not come back!

  • 5/5 Stephan N. 1 year ago on Google
building was incredible, like a palace. beds were sturdy, no squeaking or anything for the bunk beds, the privacy curtains are a nice plus, everything was clean, bathrooms and toilets were clean, kitchen was big and clean and had everything you could need, 24 hour reception was nice to have and they were very friendly. check in and check out were painless. only complaint was the water did not go past warm, but for anyone who doesn’t need boiling hot showers this shouldn’t be a problem

I stayed here with boyfriend for two nights at the beginning of our trip and we loved it so we came back for two more nights at the end as well. The staff is so friendly and the place is beautiful. We loved the kitchen, the dining room, the bars and the garden, and the location was convenient as well! Great vibes, lots of friendly people from all over the world. Awesome place to stay in :)

Great experience. Very nice kitchen, awesome outside area with multiple garden and a new area will be unlocked soon if you achieve enough XP. Cleanest hostel I’ve been. Bath cleaned 3 times per day. Staff is always courteous and helps with everything. With public transport you’re everywhere very fast. Best hostel in Lisbon I’ve been so far.

Great hostel with great location. Check in was simple and the staff were friendly. Small cozy basement bar. Rooms are very comfy and spacious. Bathrooms and showers are great. Best hostel I've stayed at out of 4 different ones in Lisbon.

Great place! Very affordable price, amazing service, comfortable beds, clean and high quality facilities. I highly recommend staying here. I wish I could stay for more than one night. I stayed in the mixed dorm and the bunk beds don't shake and wobble when you climb up, which is not to be taken for granted in hostel world. Thanks so much for the stay :)
