This is the nicest hostel, ever. From the basics: well-cleaned rooms/bathrooms/showers and spacious common area…to the more personal aspects: staff, food, and social gatherings. If I could rate higher than a 10/10 I would. The staff - especially Louise, Kevin, the Grace’s, and Mark - were so kind and genuinely wanted to ensure that everybody was having a good, safe time. The food was incredible, with a very impressive chef who made yummy, traditional international dishes. The all-inclusive option…free beer and sangria?? It really doesn’t get better than that. It made the common area a really vibrant and social zone every night, so it was easy to make connections and friendships. Thank you so much for an amazing trip, Goodmorning hostel!

First time staying at a hostel and it set the bar SO incredibly high!! The community here is AMAZING, the staff is so warm and thoughtful, and the accommodations are very comfortable. Lockers are a great size and can fit a carry-on suitcase. They have an incredible all-inclusive food deal which is so worth it with the staff preparing delicious meals 3x a day. Incredibly social hostel with bar crawls, walking tours, and drinks each evening so it's easy to meet people. Don't walk - run to this hostel!! great vibes.

Honestly, I don't normally take the time to go and write reviews but I had the most incredible time at this hostel. I'd been travelling Portugal for a few months already so I already knew the area and I initially booked just to have my meals sorted and to chill out for a few days before I flew to the next country - but I ended up making the best friends of my whole trip and making really amazing memories here. It is like a family, I felt at home completely. Thank you Tatiana and the team you're amazing 🙌

We had a very good visit at the good morning hostal in Lisbon. It was within walking distance to most major locations and offered several economic food and activities. All the staff and chefs were super friendly and made us feel welcome at all times and is mostly english based communication however there were always people with languages. The breakfast was simple and good. They offer a free pub hop every night yo diferente pubs and bars which was lots of fun. The hostal is on the second floor and some rooms on the 3rd or 4th so be aware when booking you will be fit by the end of your trip The free walking tour offered once a day (sometimes 2) however they do not inform you in the hostal you are expected to give the guide a tip nor a guide on how much, and unfortunately our guide pushed us towards a 20-25€ tip before even leaving the meeting point and therefor we chose to opt out ad we did not have cash nor the budget for 3 people (60+€) (the hostal is not the company running the tour however they advertise its completely free without warning of obliged tip which can cause uncomfortable and unhappy guides) They offer unlimited sangria/beer (17-2300) as well as lunch and dinner for 15€/day making it a very good and economic vacation option. The hostal encourages and allows you to meet lots of people and have a social visit, or you can keep to yourself. The rooms (we were in a 10 people room) were well cleaned and taken care of however the floors and bunks make alot of room and the hinks are not fully closed in, unfortunately due to this my friend woke up with a strangers dirty socks in their bed in the morning. They should consider putting up an edge or some type of barrier to prevent this as well as oiling the lockable storage doors to help avoid noise, however they do give everyone complementary earplugs to avoid problems. The bathrooms were clean however the womens bathroom was extremely humid with water dripping from the ceilings and edges in the evening at prime times. The wc stalls are pretty small however the other bathrooms were a bit more spacious. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and i would recommend it to solo or small groups traveling.

The location is really good everything is basically at your doorstep. The rooms were very clean and you have curtains that give you that extra security and privacy. The breakfast was basic and light, very tasty and every night the hostel does a pub crawl which I thought was a brilliant way of getting to know the other people in the hostel. Every night you can get a free drink of either beer or sangria which I wasn’t a fan of thought the beer was flat and the sangria was probably the worst I’ve ever tasted.😅They also have a women’s only bathroom, great for that extra bit of privacy. They provide you with towels free of charge, hairdryers are also available in the bathrooms.

If I could give this hostel 6 stars, I would! I can't say enough good things about it. As a solo traveler, the social aspect of a hostel is important to me and Good Morning sets the gold standards for fostering a social atmosphere. For 12,50 Euros, you get breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks from 6-11p. There's truly no deal like that at hostels...and it encourages people to hang with one another while they enjoy the deal! I met countless amazing people over my meals and drink at the bar. The staff is so incredibly nice. Eduardo, Bruno, and the rest - your kind, accommodating, helpful nature made my trip that much better! And the location can't be beat - you're in the center of the city and close to the metro. Thank you, Good Morning, for making my stay in Lisbon perfectly memorable! I hope to be back some day!

Great hostel for solo travellers. Everyone is very social and helpful including the people working there. On top of that, the bathrooms are cleaned often and look nice and modern. Breakfast is included and you can get anything from scrambled eggs, to toasts, waffles and fruit. All in all a great experience!

Everything about this Hostel was fantastic. I stayed in one of the private rooms because I'm old and need sleep, and it was great. Bathroom was bright and modern, and the bed was comfy and it was great. The hostel staff are so friendly and welcoming. They're great at their jobs, the food is good and its wonderful to wake up to breakfast and have a family dinner after traveling solo for a while. The hostel attracts a mix of people from all stages of life and everyone is warm and its easy to find friends. I liked it so much I extended my stay there and made a point to circle back. Location is great too. Right next to some beautiful parts of town and the metro. If you need a place to feel welcomed, with friendly people, in a place that reminds you of a home, stay here.

I went in March 2023 on my first solo trip (from UK). I felt so welcomed by staff and other travel lots. Loved that the bunk beds in the dorms had curtains, such a simple detail but made me feel more privacy and I slept better. The food was lovely and they planned great social activities. Hostel was generally clean and tidy. Would love to come back!!

All I can say is WOW. When I saw all the 10 star reviews I thought surely these people have been exaggerating! I’ve been travelling for nearly 6 years and this for sure has to be in the top 3 hostels I’ve ever stayed. The staff are amazing, the atmosphere is great and the best part of the day is the amazing breakfast! Special shout out to Eduardo, who is an amazing cook! Please open your restaurant in Lisbon soon!!!

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at. Location is perfect. The rooms are modern and comfortable. The showers and toilet, while out in the hallway, are also good. Socially, the greatest hostel I’ve been to. The common area turns into a house party at night. You’ll meet dozens of like-minded, friendly travellers. It’s fantastic.

Great clean bright social hostel in centre of the city. Everything is super clean, they clean couple times a day. Also, it's very easy to be social and they even have a dedicated work room which I loved. Highly recommend for first time solo traveller. I am not sure if the all inclusive is worth is though since sometimes you are out in afternoon and don't want to come back to have lunch. Also, 90% people there are first time solo travellers so if you are more experienced, its a bit of weird vibe. But overall great if you want to be pampered a bit.

Had an amazing time. The beds are very nice, lots of space to put your stuff and a big bathroom. The staff was lovely as well and I had a lot of fun during the evening activities. Easy to meet people, and the breakfast and dinner were lovely as well. Thanks! Would stay again!

This hostel in Lisbon is fantastic! The bathrooms and beds are super clean, and they have curtains for privacy in shared rooms. The common room is spacious, and there's even a meeting room if you need it. The staff is welcoming, and the all-inclusive option with a vegetarian option is great. which also offers complimentary drinks until 22:30. The guided tours and activities they organize are a lot of fun, and I met some awesome people during my stay. We're already planning our next trip! I highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Lisbon.

This place is perfect for solo travellers! The common areas are awesome for meeting new people and just hanging out. I tried the lunch and dinner offered by the hostel and it was absolutely amazing. You just grab a plate, sit down, and before you know it, you're having a family-style meal with new friends! The quiet hours are respected, so I slept like a baby. I even joined the staff and other guests on a pub crawl, and had a blast even though I don't drink. The staff here are seriously the friendliest people ever! The beds are comfy and I loved having curtains for privacy. The lockers are big enough for a suitcase and the bathrooms are always clean. Plus, it’s close to a lot of sightseeing and activities. Solo travellers, don't hesitate to book here!

Great Rooms. Great Service. Great Location. Thats the second best thing about the hostel, you can get anywhere easily. The best thing is the service and the people. The staff gave us a warm welcome, there‘s free breakfast with: eggs, waffles, toast, coffee, tee, orange juice and some more things. The people who come here are also very nice and fun. At 11 pm they take everyone who wants to come to the bar and the first drink of the night at the hostel is also free :). The rooms are nice. The curtains next to the bed are great because you feel way more comfortable and it adds privacy. There are also lockers for each person and a mirror in the room. The showers are also veerryyy warm. All around definitely recommend. I had a beautiful stay <3

Very social hostel, great place to meet people. The guy who checked me in didn’t really follow procedure with checking people into beds that correspond with the correct/ close lockers. Breakfast was okay.. I only ate it once and it didn’t wow me. Comfortable beds with privacy curtains. I enjoyed my stay

Thank you Lu, Bruno, Tatiana, Mike, Grace and the rest of the awesome team at Good Morning Hostel. Every morning/every day was exceptional with so many friendly/helpful/caring employees. The hostel also attracts a good people). They go the extra mile to make your stay pleasant. The food, hospitality, cleanliness (they scrub the walls, bed posts, fresh/clean beds), guidance, assistance with bags, free breakfast/towel, and centrally located near busses/trains and all the hot spots. I can write a book about the tiny helpful details that make this place the top hostel in Lisbon. There should be a good morning hostel in all the cool cities in Portugal. Best of luck to you all. Love Freddy T.

Out of the many hostels I’ve stayed at, this has got to be in the top 5. Clean facilities, safe/central location, and great breakfast spread that’s included. Metro stop ~2 min walk from the entrance makes it easy to get around Lisboa, and train station ~3 min walk away was so convenient for getting to Sintra. Evening welcome drink/happy hour makes the vibe super social and easy to meet other people! On top of that, the staff were SO friendly and welcoming. Can’t wait to return!

I had my first hostel experience with them, and oh boy, they've put the bar high. Extremely welcoming hosts, super energetic and positive vibes coming from them. Bruno checked me in and I immediately felt at home and welcomed. The deal with the lunch, dinner and free drinks definitely worth it, the food is fresh and good quality, tasty. And you will need the free drinks because every night is a party night. The hosts take care of you not just in the hostel, but outside as well during the parties. So if you want to meet with new people, this place is perfect. Bathrooms, showers were clean and organized, and it was always free when I went. Tours starts from the front of the the hostel, and the party street is in walking distance. I had a really good stay and will come back if I'm in Lisbon

Where do I start? This hostel goes up to the top of my list of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in. Firstly, the staffs are the best. I really felt welcomed. They were very accommodating as well! Not just one or two but all of them were the best!!! Second, the rooms are spacious! I stayed in a 10 bed dorm but it’s not cramped at all! There’s a huge space in the middle and a balcony. Third, the curtain and the beds were comfy. I had a good night sleep. Fourth, the toilets are always clean. The shower area is big enough for you to really move hehe. Lastly, I love the breakfast! The egg, waffle, sandwich and so on! A perfect way to start your day. Too bad I only stayed for one night. I’m still pinching myself for underestimating Lisbon. I should’ve stayed longer.

  • 5/5 Katie K. 1 year ago on Google
Facilities were clean and there was a good amount of extra spaces to be besides your room. Social atmosphere was great without sacrificing comfort of guest’s who might want to head to bed early! Staff was very welcoming, helpful and fun to interact with. Location was central and very convenient for almost anything you might want to do while you are in Lisbon. Views from the hostel were also a plus. Would recommend 10/10 and I will be back the next time I am in Lisbon.

I had the best time ever in this hostel. If you’re searching for a place to socialize and get to know other people, this is the one! I enjoyed it, the staff was amazing and so kind, they socialized with the guests and helped me feeling at home. I cannot overcome the waffles, I would come here again just to eat those waffles with nutella in the morning again. Also they make fresh scrambled eggs and sandwiches, it was the best breakfast I ever had in a hostel! Be careful: if you visit the Goodmorning hostel you’ll probably get too high standards for hostels. Such a wonderful place. Can’t wait to go there again in the future, I already miss those waffles!

This hostel is the absolute best for solo travelers in Lisbon. The communal mealtimes and happy hour are great ways to get to know other travelers. The beds are clean and they have curtains which provide additional privacy when you want. The bathrooms are clean and tidy! Made friends immediately upon sitting down in one of the common areas. This is your sign to book it!

Best hostel experience I’ve had. The staff were so friendly and the atmosphere was great. Breakfast, lunch and dinners are served around a table in the kitchen, giving it a really homely feel. Everything was clean, food was delicious and the location is fantastic for metro/bus/trains The only issue I had was that the locked in my room didn’t lock, but that was just a minor inconvenience. Also free beer and sangria! What’s not to love!

I had an awesome experience, the staff is super welcoming and helpful, you immediately feel welcomed from the first day on. The whole hostel is also just about positivity, and you can feel that. Perfect atmosphere to meet lots of new people, therefor the hostel is perfect for solo travelers. You tend to want to extend your stay. Thank you, good morning, Hostel!

The staff made me feel welcome immediately, the bathrooms and rooms are clean, there’s air-conditioning and the free breakfast is really delicious! Free coffee, tea and filtered water is available all day, and if you’re planning on staying at the hostel for meals, the all-inclusive option is worth it. Will definitely come again! :-)

Great location to stay in Lisbon in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Much of the popular sights are within walking distance. Torre de Belem is not near and we need to take public transport (bus/tram) to reach. Lot of nice restaurants and cafes around to relax as well.

A great location to stay in Liston. The staff is very friendly and the reception is 24/7. They provide great recommendations and tours. For a foodie there is a great seafood restaurant within walking distance. A very happening neighborhood for sight-seeing.

The finest hostel i have ever stayed at. Used to come up from Gibraltar all the time. Great breakfasts, excellent afternoon beers, right in the centre of everything - walking distance to Time out and the local attractions. Can't fault it.

One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at. Very clean, nice facilities, amazing atmosphere, just overall a great time. The staff are absolutely amazing; super friendly and very helpful. Cannot express how much I loved this hostel, and I can’t wait to go back again.

  • 5/5 Quinten S. 1 year ago on Google
This was a great hostel. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and updated. The building is beautiful. Maybe above all else, the location is CHOICE. Central to everything. The overall experience was so great I can't bring myself to dock any stars. However, there are some observations I'd want to be made aware of. See following notes... Note: the website advertises unlimited beer and sangria to ALL guests during power hour. I was told if I wasn't on the all inclusive rate I get only one drink for free during that time. So that's a little misleading in my opinion. The website also advertises walking tours at 10:20am and 4:30pm. There is actually only one tour offered and it's the 10:20am one. Again, just some inaccuracy between what is advertised and what is offered.

  • 5/5 Hugo S. 2 years ago on Google
Great value for money. Lots of fun people to meet and great atmosphere. Good staff too. Can feel crowded and kitchen is always busy as the staff is using the same kitchen to prepare meals for guests. Wouldn't recommend it necessarily for long term stays or digital nomads as it can feel to crowded and stressfull for working long hours. Perfect stay for solo travellers and party people.

Definitely the best hostel I've ever stayed in. Lovely staff, clean spaces, tasty food. Even though we were staying in a private room and we were spending a lot of time outside of the hostel, I feel like the evenings were a blast too! Great sangria, PERFECT location, you can't ask for more! Thank you for hosting us ❤️

One of the best hostel experiences that I’ve had! Everything was so clean and organized. I loved that the beds have curtains. The all inclusive option is so wonderful. One of the best hostels I‘ve ever stayed in! I loved the vibe, the staff is super helpful and the location is awesome (you can reach everything by foot). Goodmorning is a very clean hostel and the breakfast is simple but awesome - try the toasties! I will be back one day :)

The most friendly hostel I've ever been to!! The breakfast was wonderful and had a variety of foods including waffles, fruit, yogurt, coffee, tea, etc. The staff was absolutely wonderful and it was so nice that they made an effort to know everyone's name. The atmosphere at the hostel was great and it was easy to make friends. The common areas were fun and the kitchen was always available to use as well. Would definitely stay here again. Can't imagine staying anywhere else in Lisbon.

This hostel is very amazing. The atmosphere is so friendly and you feel like in a big family. They have always great smile and it's vey easy to meet new friends and share great fun. The best part is the Power Hour with free drink. It's the most social moment of the day. The space is very clean and the co-working works well. I really enjoyed so much this 1-week here at Goodmorning Solo Traveller. I hope to come back soon my friends!

This hostel was in a perfect location next to all of the great spots for food, culture, nightlife in Barrio Alto. The all-inclusive option is affordable and convenient. It fosters a engaged hostel social experience with an engaged community with great planned events. It also provides the opportunity to somehow feel secluded and private if that is what you aim for as well. The food was excellent, and the staff and facilities were excellent. It will be difficult to enjoy a similar hostel experience in the future.

I had an amazing time staying here! It was my first ever hostel experience and I’m so happy I chose Good Morning. The staff is incredibly friendly and makes an effort to remember your name. The rooms are clean and so are the toilets and showers. The atmosphere is great! I met so many cool people and was sad to leave. The hostel is located in central lisbon and it’s easy to get around. I chose the all inclusive option and loved the food! Also all the free Sangria was great. Would definitely stay here again!

  • 5/5 Deb D. 1 year ago on Google
Great experience at this hostel. The staff has thought of it all and goes above and beyond. The bunk beds are well made, very sturdy and each bed has a privacy curtain. Breakfast was delicious. Staying there felt like staying with someone you already know. I will say that I was definitely on the older range of guests. Hostel tends to attract 18-25 year Olds who like to party. I booked a 4 person female room but when I arrived was put into a 8 person mixed room for the 3 nights because that's all that was available. It was fine. It felt very safe throughout my entire stay. Great value for the money.

This was my first time travelling solo, and I am so grateful I picked Lisbon + Goodmorning Hostel for my first few nights! The location is super central and easily accessible from the airport or train station. The staff team in place is golden, you feel straight at home when you arrive, the common spaces are super cosy as our the rooms. The social agenda ranging from pub crawls to tours but also happy hour makes up for a great opportunity to meet all the other travellers! They have a great all-inclusive daily deal that gives you access to breakfast, lunch and diner cooked by the team + unlimited beer/sangria in the evening! Should you wish to bring in your food, you have that option as well! Their motto goes, 'arrive as a guest, leave as a friend' - this was just spot on, I know I will back and will book my stay at Goodmorning Hostel without a doubt! This place has just great vibes altogether. Thank you to all of you that made this stay so memorable!

Staying at Good Morning was the best decision I've ever made! I cannot even put into words how special the place and people are. This was my first time traveling solo and staying in a hostel so I had no idea what to expect, but I truly left feeling like I was part of a family. The friendships and connections I made here are incredible and made this trip the best experience of my life. Everyone who works at the hostel is so kind and welcoming, and the food they make is unbelievable so definitely do the all-inclusive! The hostel itself is very clean, spacious, and is in a great location in the city. It genuinely felt like home after just a few days. I cannot recommend this place enough to anyone traveling to Lisbon!! I hope to be back soon

Such an amazing and friendly hostel. The bar and all inclusive rates really make it feel like a little family. Just make sure you’re up for being outgoing and you’ll fit right in - the unlimited sangria helped me with that :)). You do have to sign up for dinner and lunch which means you have to have a rough plan for your day but it’s not too much of a faff. Overall am amazing hostel. I would go back tomorrow. Xx

I had a great time at my stay at The Goodmorning Solo Travel Hostel The moment you make a reservation you get a welcoming email. When you get the the hostel be aware of the stairs! But they tell you how many calories you’re burning so it’s not so bad! The staff are so lovely. Big shout out to Sofia who made me feel welcome. All of the staff are friendly and welcoming. The facilities are just like the pictures on the web. The breakfast is nice and there is a good selection You also have the option to go all inclusive to have lunch and dinner which is cooked by the staff/guests. The vibe from the other guests is amazing and you’ll make good connections. Location is excellent. I 1000% recommend this hostel!

STAY HERE!!! that’s all I can say :) truly one of the most incredible hostel experiences I’ve ever had. I stayed here a full 2 weeks while I worked remotely, and met so many amazing people, both staff and guests. The food is great (get all-inclusive, you won’t regret it), and Tatiana is such a pleasure to chat with while you’re having lunch. The coworking space is nice, and the rooms are comfortable. The location is also a perfect launching point for anywhere in the city. Thanks for an unforgettable experience!

Worth all of the praising reviews! Excellent location- arguably the best I've had with a hostel. Right in the middle of the city with nice balconies. It's located through a gift shop which I actually liked for more security. Although one of the more pricy hostels, the rooms are well-kept and clean. The ambiance is great too- friendly staff and people. Very easy to make friends. The free breakfast was also fantastic. Lots of weekly planned activities like walking tours and pub crawls. I only stayed one night but wish I could've stayed longer! Will recommend to anyone traveling to Lisbon looking for a fun, upbeat environment where you will feel safe and comfortable.

Best hostel ever! The common area was perfect for lounging during the day and meeting people at night. The meals (especially breakfast) was insane and the all you can drink in the evenings in unrivalled. Great rooms/beds/bathrooms also and great location. The volunteers were all so lovely and I met some amazing people there so I was very sad to leave! Still think about that place even though I was there in October! I’ll be back :)

I had a really great time here! Spacious lockers and a towel were both free and added to the convenience of my stay, in top of the central location! The bathrooms are some of the nicest I’ve experienced in any hostel. I met really lovely people here and would definitely return in the future. 🫶🏻

Home away from home, that’s how this place makes you feel. The hosts as well as the guests are simply amazing. From the moment you walk in, you can’t help but feel the great atmosphere and energy this place has. No words would do it justice. If you’re visiting the city, whether solo or in a group, this place is a must stay at!! It was my first time at a hostel, and god I loved it!!!

  • 5/5 Josh F. 1 year ago on Google
This was hands-down the friendliest and most accommodating hostel I’ve ever stayed at. The staff are the nicest people and the food they cooked was absolutely worth the money if you have any doubts. The vegetarian options were really appreciated too. I saw some other reviews that called this place a “party hostel” in a negative way and I really didn’t get that at all. Things can definitely get very social, but it was always in a friendly and inviting way, and never too loud. I found plenty of quieter times too. Overall I’ll just miss this place a lot, but super grateful for the memories made here.

A 5 star experience on a SOLO TRIP. I embarked on my first solo travel, quite nervous of what to expect staying in a hostel in a foreign country. I arrived to Good morning hostel with a warm welcome, a comfortable room and an energetic atmosphere. I can’t recommend this hostel enough. The food was delicious, hearty and the perfect portions. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us and many of them left as very good friends. I am most pleased with my experience and hopefully in the near future I can come back to create more lasting memories. Thank you once again for making me feel safe, happy and ensuring I have the most incredible time. Gratitude is an understatement!

I had the most wonderful stay at this hostel and will 100% be going back! The staff are all so friendly and helpful, the hygiene standards are exceptional and everyone staying there was so kind and sociable. I would definitely recommend the all inclusive option as you have unlimited sangria and beer in the evenings and every meal is so so tasty! You can tell the staff really care about their guests and the hostel they work at! The location is also perfect as it’s right by the metro station and access to the airport is very straightforward and only takes about 30 minutes! I felt very safe as a female solo traveller as well! For a small fee you can also get your laundry done for you and it was all folded up for me when I got back that evening.
