Avoid this hostel. We booked a private room back in June 2022. We were excited to stay here based on the reviews and photos. Two days before our trip in September 2022, the hostel cancelled our reservation. We got no explanation and had to follow up with hostel. The hostel claimed that one of the rooms had been damaged but we got not explanation why our reservation was cancelled even though we had booked several months before. We booked it at a very good rate, so we suspect the hostel may have gotten a more expensive rate from someone else. Looking at past reviews, this isn't the first time that guests have experienced this hostel cancelling on them last minute. It is very shady. They are not to be trusted. We had to scramble to find another place to stay 48 hours before our trip. All other good options were booked or very expensive. Don't take a chance with this hostel. Book a hotel or another hostel instead. Terrible.

My friend and I stayed in a female-only shared dorm - the staff were so friendly and helpful, making check-in simple and answering all the questions we had. Rooms and facilities were clean, location was so convenient, and we particularly loved the open, shared reception area where we could gather to play games, get work done, meet new people, etc. Parking was tricky, as it is in all of Lisbon! We weren't prepared for how expensive it was going to be, but found the best option was the underground in the square (around 25 euro/night if I remember correctly)

When we first arrive the home hotel smelled like a restroom (a stinky and dirty one) and that smell is also in the room. Then the second and the third night they turn off the heat in the middle of winter. I felt as a was sleeping in the street with cold and a piss smell. I asked the Girl in the front desk to turn it on several times and she did nothing. The second and last night we asked again said it wasnt her problem and she left, she didnt give me her name even though i asked for it. So please dont throgh away your money.

This hostel is around 5-10 minutes walking from the metro station. There are many cozy cafes around. Places of interest in Lisbon are possible to reach on foot, too. The room is clean. The shower room is convenient. There is a relatively big wardrobe to store the guest's luggage. The windows let the sunshine in. The service is efficient. The check-in and check-out are done in less than 10 minutes. It is unique that the digital key is made of wood.

To note: you can rent or buy padlocks for the drawers under the bunk beds. They need medium sized locks. Quiet and nice atmosphere.

Does have a more hotel like feel however, and does not seem to be like a vibe where you can meet people or go party with. There is another hostel across the street which offers bar crawls however. A top quality hostel. I travelled solo during covid and never felt unsafe staying here (medically or otherwise). The hostel is run like a hotel, so you get incredibly clean/quiet rooms, but the wine tasting and music nights are the perfect way to meet other travellers. Wonderful and knowledgable staff who are very patient. Brilliant location as well - in the heart of Lisboa. Am definitely staying again!

3 night stay in a private double room. For a hostel, this place is pretty impressive. Nice & bright modern spaces, rooms are minimal but very comfortable with a generous bathroom. Unfortunately our stay was ruined by a group of incredibly inconsiderate guests on our floor who were up until stupid AM causing havoc every night, resulting in very little sleep. Appreciate this is not the fault of the business however a recommendation would be to situate double rooms together and dorms on separate levels. Otherwise, it's a nice place to stay in a good location. 3 stars for our personal experience, not necessarily the place.

Unfortunately there is no common kitchen, but there is a bar so you can buy drinks. Rooms are really tiny with no space to put your bags. In 6-beds room there was only one bathroom with a shower - no bathrooms in the hall. You have to have your own padlock or you can rent it. BUT EVERY THURSDAY THURSDAY THERE IS A LIFE MUSIC CONCERT AND IT WAS REALLY COOL EXPERIENCE :)

We stayed at family room for two nights. The room is spacious enough for 3 adults. Centrally located, within walking distance to two metro stations and the famous 28 tram starting point. The room was spotless clean and staff were friendly. I will definitely stay here again if I visit Lisbon again.

I enjoyed my stay at this hostel. The location is very central and you can walk to some of the main tourist attractions. Public transport is also really nearby! Rooms are very clean and modern as well as the lobby. The lobby is a great place to get some work done with enough power outlets and space. Breakfast was good but really nothing special besides sweet cakes, toast and cheese and two juices.

We arrived in Lisbon from Albufeira for one night only. I found the staff here to be abrupt and quite rude. Not what I would call a friendly welcome. We booked a private double room. The beds were pushed together but in no way stayed together so really it is two single beds. Everything in there feels very cheap. The location is great but honestly for the price we paid, 160 euros, I expected much, much better quality from the room and the staff.

I stayed in a 4-bed dorm. The bed was comfy and the room was very clean but the room was waaaaay too small. Somehow bathroom was spacious tho. Despite not being able to cancel the reservation, I decided to move to another hostel nearby, where they have an actual space to put my luggage. The hostel itself is very clean with a modern interior. Particularly liked just how much seating was available down in reception, with board games and books on offer to entertain yourself with. The rooms are a decent size, with lockers available for security. There is no laundry room however staff were very helpful in directing us to the nearest laundrette, which was less than a 5 minute walk away. There is a charge to rent towels, so be aware of this, however it was very inexpensive.

Rodamon is probably one of the best hostels in terms of facilities that exist in Portugal. It’s a mix of hotel and hostel together - very ambiguous - which may not be up to the expectations of most hostel travelers since it has somewhat a hotel vibe to it which is surprisingly pleasant to me. The lobby is spacious enough to work, read, chat, grab a snack, to have coffee and to be social. There’s a free coffee machine, so you can get a latte anytime you want and also tea for tea lovers. The rooms are incredible. Comfortable, clean and well-preserved. It’s brand new! Free towels and free shampoo. The beds are super comfortable and the pillows as well. It’s a hostel located between Alfama and Bairro Alto neighborhoods so you get the best of both worlds. It’s close to main attractions here in the city of Lisbon even though it’s far from train and bus stations, you can take buses or trams to come here. There are also a lot of restaurants and markets nearby. Everyone here is very nice and helpful. It works 24h every single day.

This is the first time I ever stayed in a hostel so I was a little worried, but from check in, my worries went away. The staff was super friendly and the lobby/lounge area looked super clean and had a relaxed vibe. I got a single double room, no sharing, was exactly like the pics. Super clean and the size was much bigger than I expected! I'm definitely will be staying here next time I come to visit. The area has lots of restaurants and shops as well, plus there's the rossio metro station across the street and a spot where taxis park 24/7. Only negative for me, and it's a small negative, was that there no iron in the room or property and no TV in rooms. All in all, excellent service, excellent rooms, and excellent location!

It was okay and fine until they broke my padlock. Blame me for not informing them I extended my stay. They told me they switched the room via email. I know because I went there to retrieve some stuff, which the receptionist was a bit hesitant to give me the access because there were new guests. I told them that's not my problem and yours. I informed them on the day of my arrival but they probably didn't listen to me. But they still blame me. No compensation. I was very upset really lame management and staff. A bit rude and not professional.
