I was very surprised to see that even though this is right in the middle of “tourist town” the Pastel De Nata is by far the best I have ever tried. I've been to a few places around Portugal for Pastel de Nata and this place has the best ones hands down! Their filling is unique to others and I find theirs to be the most fresh as they make some throughout the day and into the early evening. €1 each, have an espresso with a few! Or for €2.50 have a Port and a Pastel De Nata!! You will not regret going to this place.

Dreams are made of many things, mostly surreal. Dali could never have pictorially represented a great Nata. They are beyond iconography. And these are as good as any. Perfect pastry and custard is such a bog-ordinary description of greatness, just as God is a silly palindrome of dog, to describe whatever the hell is responsible for whatever you reckon. These tarts simply get it right. And that's as rare as a Spanish national anthem at a local portuguese footy game. For €6.20 you get a tart, a credible baccalao croquette, an acceptable short black and a "healthy" dose of port wine...choose the white...best value since the portuguese bought Brazil.

Food quality and service is good. Pretty standard every Fabrica da Nata we have tried in Portugal. The ham and cheese pastry taste really good and remember to try the tarts. Highly recommend if you need a quick bite.

As soon as you walk in you see the pastel de Natas being made. Heaven. They are now my favourite dessert. So cheap as well particularly if you are coming from England. €1.30 for a pastel de natas. It is so yummy, I was so tempted to ask how they made it but eventually came to the conclusion they don’t make the mixture in the store or to view. For good reason too. Now before I go home from my holiday I’m going to go to a pastel de Nata making class. Definitely come here to get your pastel de natas. It is so good.

I guess this is the best place for fresh Pastel de Nata in Lisbon, I had it in many other places but in this place it is just very delicious. You can see when they are preparing it. It’s good to go there early in the morning as usually there is a long queue.

The best dessert in Portugal, you can't come here and don't eat Pastel de Nata, the sandwiches and the coffee are very good. They have a kind of train that goes over the cake trays, very interesting. I recommend! .

Our tour guide brought us here. The egg custard tart is incredibly delicious. The oven for these treats is opposite the counter, you can actually see it being baked. Very busy and popular amongst locals. If you do spot this pastry shop whilst in Lisbon, don't hesitate to walk in and try the goodies.

Best pastéis de nata I’ve tried so far on my Portugal trip! Perfectly flaky and crisp and the custard isn’t too sweet or firm. Was a bit chaotic on my visit but there was a cruise ship in port so that’s likely why. Definitely worth a stop!

Best Pastel de Nata in Lisbon. We tried so many and even the famous one in Belém but nothing compared to the ones here. They also have cinnamon and powdered sugar in sachets for takeaway. The outside pastry is really nice and buttery with a salty taste which compliments the custard inside. This venue does not have step free access but they have seating outside.

Surprisingly affordable for a cafe like this situated in a prime area. Recommend getting the pastel de nata and you can also observe how it's being done of u choose to seat inside. The coffee is cheap and good too. Perfect for tea time and especially for this cold chilly weather.

I stopped here for a quick bite before departing for a tour, and I’m so glad that I did. I tried the famous Pasteis de Nata at four different places in Lisbon, and Fabrica da Nata was my favorite. I returned to the shop once more on my last day in Lisbon to enjoy two more Pasteis de Natas. I sat down inside and savored final experience with this delicious pastry. I encourage you try the Pastéis de Nata many times and at many different places, but please include Fábrica da Nata on list. You may discover that it’s your favorite too!

Very popular breakfast place ser ingredients a variety of sweet and savoury pastries. My favourite choices were the cod and veal croquettes! The decor is quintessentially Portuguese with blue tiles and chandeliers. Fresh custard tarts are prepared in the shop front and the croquettes disappear quickly. There tends to be a queue in the morning, where office workers and tourists alike grab their coffee and pastries, due to the enviable location.

After trying a few Pastel we've decided this is the best as their pastry are properly air dried. You can actually see it inside the restaurant at the top. Staffs are friendly and will recognise you after 3rd visit or so. Nice place for breakfast and good coffee. Nice outdoor seating area. Cod fish pastry is nice too when warm.

We enjoyed being here. The sangria was great and the ham and cheese was good as well. Didn’t care for the pastel de nata.

The first pastéis de natas of our trip was at Fábrica da Nata. They have locations in Lisbon, Sintra and Porto. The inside is massive along with plenty of outdoor tables. Service is quick and efficient. Puzzled why when you buy 6 natas (6,90€), you only save 0,30€. - Pastel de nata (1,20€) - natas weren’t too sweet but had a nice creamy filling. Slightly over caramelized in a few spots.

Fábrica da Nata serves up the quintessential Portuguese treat, the Pastel de Nata, with perfection. From the crispy, flaky crust to the creamy custard filling, each bite is a burst of flavor that transports you to Lisbon’s streets. With friendly service and cozy ambiance, it’s a must-visit spot for anyone craving an authentic taste of Portugal.

This is such a gold mine I have to say I'm so glad that I happened to stumble on this place I realized that it probably is a chain cuz I stole a couple of them scattered throughout this one but I will tell you their food is amazing it's so good and it's inexpensive. They have combo meals that you can have for less than 5 year olds which is amazing but again The taste is so good. You have the famous Portuguese custard their own recipe you want to get it nice and warm and then put pour some cinnamon on top with along with some espresso or cappuccino which I have to say is just amazingly good. I've also tried their sandwiches no complaints they are so delicious I actually took some to go and they have their homemade soups one of those soups that I had that was so good was their carrot soup I didn't even bother with the spoon I just literally just drank it from the bowl since I took it to go again we'll recommend this place there's so much to choose from the sangria the wine there also inexpensive and so good so if you're looking to save some euros I would seriously say you may want to consider this place for breakfast for lunch cuz it is a great find.

A little touristy but not a bad spot for a coffee and snack. We enjoyed the local pastry and had a caffeine pick me up. They have outdoor seating, which is a wonderful way to take a break when the weather is nice.

Excellent pastel de nata 🥮 and pretty good croissants. However, the service is a bit chaotic and the coffee does not taste good at all. Moreover, if you choose a menu and want to change the type of coffee in it, it is not possible at all. But they have fantastic fresh orange 🍊juice !

Fábrica da Nata is a charming coffee shop that specializes in crafting the perfect pastel de nata. The moment you step in, the aroma of freshly baked pastries fills the air, creating an inviting atmosphere. The pastel de nata here is nothing short of exceptional – a perfect balance of flaky crust and creamy custard, each bite is a delightful experience. The ambiance is cozy, with a touch of Portuguese warmth that adds to the overall charm. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to guide you through the menu and recommend the perfect pairing for your pastel de nata. Pair your pastry with a well-brewed coffee or try their signature espresso for a truly indulgent experience. The attention to detail in both the pastries and the beverages makes Fábrica da Nata a must-visit for any pastry enthusiast. Whether you're a local looking for a sweet escape or a visitor eager to taste an authentic pastel de nata, Fábrica da Nata is the place to be. It's a delightful spot where tradition meets exceptional craftsmanship, leaving you with a lasting appreciation for the art of pastry-making.

Great place, spacious and lovely to eat in. I recommend the ham and cheese croissant as a savoury option. Obviously get the tarts! I don’t recommend the extra cost of the ice cream 3.90, just get the one tart for 1.30 and a latte is 1.80. For a menu set 2 it’s 4.95 for ham, cheese, croissant, tart, and latte (only). Bon Bon coffee is quite watery and extra cost. They also have fresh orange juice for 3.30 euros :) definitely give it a try!

Very happy with the service, coffee, and most importantly, the Pastel de Nata 😋😊 It’s on our list to visit Pasteis de Nata, and we weren’t disappointed. Very quick service as well and friendly staff. We have ordered 2 americanos 4 pcs Pasteis de Nata 1 croqueta Overall Price: 7.70€ Most importantly, the texture of the tart, the creaminess, and the taste - loving it + that it’s not too sweet, which is best for us ♥️. Not as warm or hot as other Pastel de Nata that we’ve tried, but we love the taste of it. We’ve also ordered 1 croqueta, which I love the taste of it. Overall happy to recommend for you to try when in Lisbon

Delicious pastry and a wide and yummy selection of sandwiches. It's close to our hotel so I paid a visit a few times - either for breakfast, sandwich to go or dessert and it was perfect and very affordable every single time. Both indoor and outdoor spaces are very cozy and cute.

This is the first pastry we visited upon our arrival to Lisbon, it's an informal place but service is nice. We ordered 4 pcw Pasteis de nata and one glass of Port wine. All very delicious. I recommend to step in for a try, they have many other products typical Portuguese.

As we started our exploring in Lisbon we came across Fábrica da Nata and new we had to start the food part of our journey with the famous custard tart. It was even better than we had imagined. Although we had many more on our trip, including some we made ourselves, this is the one I will remember.

  • 4/5 Andy D. 8 months ago on Google
We arrived at 1pm, which is apparently the best time to avoid the queues. There is a high ceiling which gives a nice airy feeling, and not too hot in the middle of the summer. There is one automated kiosk machine, so we avoided the queue at the teller. I'm not a connoisseur of Pasteis de nata, but they were definitely amongst the best I have eaten.

Very relaxing cafe I loved it here. Custard tarts are made fresh, such reasonable prices. I paid €3.10 for a tart and latte very delicious I love the decorations such as the tile picture on the back wall.

I’m obsessed with these natas!! They were still warm when we consumed them, the crust was perfectly flaky, and the custard was delectable. Of all of the natas I’ve tried in Lisbon, these are my personal favorite. I’ll be back for more :)

A highly popular place for Nata. Egg custard tart, a traditional tart in Portugal. This shop is popular with patrons queuing to buy Nata either eat in or takeaway. It is popular with tourist too. Tourist can be seen carrying Fabrica Nata as they walk around Lisbon. There are many shops selling this traditional tart but you probably wish to try this one.

I ordered a croissant, a pastel de Nata, and a cappuccino. All simple but great options. Price was right. Paid 5€. It’s very popular and busy with long lines but it goes fast. It’s not very cosy, but that’s not purpose.

I had my first Pastel de Nata here on the first day of reaching Lisbon and I knew the next days of my holidays are going to be spent on eating these little pieces of joy every chance I get. Regarding this place, the best thing is that you get the freshest of the pastels and you can see the artists work live making these delicious addictions. For me the pastels were just the right amount of sweet and warm. The place is amazing with lot of sitting space. It is not as crazy busy as the Belem but still has lot of crowd coming in but one can find space to sit much more quickly. you can get different coffee and wine selections (including quality Port wines). They are proud of their history and it is written all over the interior decors. Really good place.
