Would not recommend. The service was slow, they didn’t have half the items on the menu, our pasta dish was over cooked and bland and they didn’t bring out one of the sides we ordered. It took 15 minutes to pay and they didn’t even have enough change. We told the server we were not impressed and we just got an apology. For a cafe on the main square, continually flooded with tourists, we expected far better. Go somewhere else.

My wife and wanted to enjoy a typical Portuguese lunch. So we ate at this place. I will never eat Portuguese food again. This was the most god awful food I have ever tasted. Be aware of this place. You will be sorry.

Avoid. Every item of food (sweet and savoury) was horrendous and not fresh but the items looked great in the window. The lady who served us inside was lovely but service outside was non existent and tables are crammed in. We moved inside and got dripped on by AC vent. The pastel de nata was the worst one I had in Portugal. Toilet was dirty.

Excellent place, very yummy food and great service. Our waiter was Jorge and he is such a great person, he advised what to try and served food very fast. I highly recommend this place.

Omg I love this place. The desserts are so amazing and good. I think we went there every other day on our trip. The head cashier would see us walking by and say hey coming in to night, lol .. We tried many items, and they were all tasty . We sat outside, and we loved it. Service was quick, great, and they were friendly. The restaurant is clean. I would recommend as many times as you can try and chill out after a long day walking about. The hot chocolate was tasty, and the vibe on the patio after the rain was nice and quiet. Perfect for people watching, lol. I obviously would eat here several times again. Everything was delicious!! Must try 😊

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! VERY DECEPTIVE restaurant and I am appalled!!!!!We went there in the evening and we were really not impressed with what they were presenting us with, we ordered red snapper fish and lobster. But the red snapper was not cooked properly at all and they brought us another red snapper, but still charged us the full price after the red snapper was not cooked and then when we were waiting for it to be cooked the vegetables went cold and the rice went cold and the service was terrible. They have bread on the table and they say it’s complimentary but it’s not complimentary we actually have to pay for it as well as the butter, it’s a very deceiving restaurant. Be warned as you go there. Make sure everything is clear when you ask for something to eat and the price of it they overcharged us for their mistake of bringing us a fish that was undercooked will never go there again!!! I will never recommend it to anyone going to Lisbon Portugal. The manager hides behind the staff wasn’t able to come and speak to us. She sent her staff to tell us we still have to pay full price. It’s a rip-off wouldn’t recommend it ever!!!!!!!

Please save your money and appetite the food is tasteless here. However, the fruit that was served with the platter was fresh. They also make good pao w/butter. Also, the toilets are dirty and broken.

This was our first meal in Portugal and it was scrumptious! We both had traditional dishes and would recommend this place.

Food was very good and tasty, the portion was enough. Waiters were very friendly. Only downside was the bathrooms, they were not clean.

We stopped by here on Saturday 21SEP2019 after a day of sightseeing in Belem. We had heard about this restaurant but cannot remember where. Upon entering, we were promptly seated and given menus. The was a good crowd in the restaurant, but it was not crowded. We had bread and olives for our starters, and they tasted very good, since it had rained that afternoon and it was slightly chilly outside. My wife had clams, and I had the swordfish. My meal came with fresh steamed broccoli and carrots and potatoes.. Everything was prepared quite well and tasted fresh. We did not have desert, and only drank water. This is a nice restaurant, with a pleasant décor and a very friendly and helpful staff. We would not hesitate to dine here again, and we do recommend it.

I've walked by this place in my previous visits to Portugal but tried it this trip. The food was amazing. The service was nice and the atmosphere really allowed you to embrace the culture. Definitely a place to try. I had dinner but will try breakfast before I leave.

First thing in the morning, I'm looking for breakfast place since this was my first time in Lisbon. When i first saw this cafe, It's quite attractive, all the scrumptious pastries and bread I could see from outside. The portugese egg tart was the best!. This was my first time trying originated portugese egg tart!. Outdoor seating area are good. location is good, just beside the famous theater. Definitely I will visit again if I come back to Lisbon!.

The fries were ok but everything else was tasteless but at the same time tasted artificial. Quite fascinating to be honest but would not recommend.

This is not just a regular stop facing Praça Dom Pedro IV, the locals prefer to use its old name, 'Rossio'. Cafe Gelo has a little bit of everything. Coffee, hot chocolate, fresh juice options, paellas, sardines, tapas (small plates), and more. At the same time, they have a full bar and searing options facing the Plaza and Theatre.

DO NOT GO HERE. We were lured in by tasty looking sandwiches displayed in the window. A server spotted us and asked if we would like to sit down for lunch and showed us the menu. As we looked through the menu those tasty sandwiches in the window were no where to be found. We ordered ham and cheese croissant and ham and cheese toast. The croissant was terrible and dry. The toast was ok, but not great. Just skip this spot and go to a better one! Service was pretty good, but food was not.

Fantastic place for coffee, breakfast or a meal Beautiful setting, situated close to the Rossio train station, and great way to start your day roaming Rossio Square to the Santa Justa Elevator

If I could give the food a zero I would. We spent over 100 euros and the food was inedible. The shrimp.was rubbery, and the dish had grit in it. The entrees arrived cold! The pork tenderloin and cod were incredibly fatty and covered in grease! Trust the reviews...we didn't and literally paid the price. Save your money and try another place!!!!! The only saving grace is the waitstaff but they don't have the power to correct the bad food that is served. .

Are you in downtown Lisbon and your kids are starving. This is the place for you. Eating outside in one of the main centres of Lisbon is quite fun and the kids enjoyed it. The food was tasty and what we were expecting. There are many options for food lovers as well as the kids.

3* for the atmosphere is because we were sitting outside and it was little to loud because of the traffic and police/ambulance sirene. The service was very friendly and explained us the dishes on the menu. The food was much better than I expected after I had seen the bad reviews and comments. I can not agree with those. Well the drinks were more expensive than other places but that's not a reason to give bad review. The bill listed exactly what we had ordered.

I wish I could give it zero star, and I wish I had read the review before deciding to sit down and order food. It literally ruined my first day in Lisbon. I only ordered one dish and it took 1.5 hours to be served. I talked to the waiter and waitress several times but nobody seemed to care. When I finally got upsets and asked them to cancel my order, guess what, the food got ready in 5 minutes! And it looked nothing like the photo on the menu. The price was fairly high compared to the local cost but the food and the service were the worst ever!!! I DON’T recommend at all!

We went for breakfast and it was a bit pricey but considering the amount of food we shared one plate and even took a box to carry. I would eat breakfast here again.

Food is okay, the grilled octopus was very tender. Service was amazing. My server, Nakul, did an amazing job ensuring that.
