Nice spot, cool interior, busy at all hours and with a great menu. Juices and smoothies are good, food is hit or miss. Eggs and burger weren’t perfect, but we tried other dishes and they were fine. Reservation is definitely recommended.

Among the crowded alleys of Lisbon, Nicola is a refreshing spot. A restaurant where you can sit in the open air facing the street or inside the chicly designed restaurant. The place has amazing breakfasts (all day) the food is delicious with an impressive visual appearance. The service is kind. It is highly recommended.

When I arrived at the restaurant the waitress asked us if we wanted to stay outside because we didn't have a reservation and it wasn't a problem for me and my friend at all. Although we pay exactly the same price for the plates served inside, we noticed that the service outside is a bit careless: nothing to cover the table, even a paper to avoid things slipping or to make the presentation more pleasant. The high point of our dissatisfaction was asking for some water and the waitress tells us we had to stand and take it from a jar on the table in the background of the restaurant. Honestly, I think they could offer customers a service as good as the options on the menu. A part from it, the pancakes were very tasteful and mouth-watering at the very first eye as well as the quality and the amount of the food.

The place is beautiful and so clean, we sat outside and it was lovely. Very upbeat and prices so good for the portions and quality of the food. We will definitely be back before we leave Lisbon!

My first breakfast in Lisbon and enjoyed it a lot. Egg Benedict and French toast was yumm, specially adding the yogurt aside which gives good mix between sweet and salty flavors.

I came here to order 2 pancakes and a large cappuccino for takeaway but ended up waiting for about 30 mins!! The services was poor as the waiter in charge of the outside area was very careless. Some of the table that were ready to order was kept waiting and some table got their order wrong. What a mess honestly! I paid €3.30 for a “large” cappuccino which came in a small cup, coffee filled half way only and it tasted very basic and it was warm not hot! The biggest let down is they dont provide takeaway bags! (Yes I asked but the waiter said nope!) so I ended up carrying all of my order back to the apartment and the maple syrup that came in a mini paper cup got blown away by the wind :( The presentation of the pancakes were at least very pretty but the taste is nothing special. It would be better if I had the maple syrup. This would be my first and last experience with Nicolau. Sadly, I would NOT recommend this place.

This place is amazing for health-minded people. They have plenty of filling, fruit-loaded options that you don't find everywhere. We had lunch there today (see pictures) and it was one of the best meals I had in the last months. We plan to go back tomorrow and maybe the days afterwards too :-) It's a busy place so if you don't have much time it's best to reserve on beforehand.

Overall it's ok, I'm surprised at the great reviews...maybe I have a high bar for brunch. The pancakes and "tosta arberta" were very simple and had that "we could have done this ourselves taste". The best pancakes I’ve ever had in Europe. I highly highly recommend this spot in Lisbon. It was delicious, the vibes were lovely and, it was a great start to the day.
