The coffee here is hands down the best in all of Lisbon, and trust me, I've tried so many cafes—up to 8 a day using the Cafe Trip app. This place, open only on Saturdays, is simply amazing. If you're a coffee enthusiast, it's an absolute must-visit. I mean real coffee—no milk or added extras. I've tried their batch, V60, and espresso, and each one was exceptional!

Amazing coffee roster that opens thier doors on the weekend for folks to taste thier coffee. Antony Watson is an amazing guy who bycycled from UK to the birthplace of coffee, Ethiopia. Worked with coffee farmers there, worked as a barista ,opened a rosters in UK and decide to open one in Lisbon. His partner Sofia is amazing as well. They both are so friendly and welcoming, being here brings a smile . We had an hour long chat about fair trade , coffee prices , how climate change is impacting coffee production. I really enjoyed my time in this roster. If you are in Lisbon and love coffee do try and visit this place

I found this place using Google maps and ratings. It is important to note that the coffee shop is only open on Saturdays, on other days they roast coffee for restaurants. The place is wonderful! Sofia and Anthony create an incredible, sincere, comfortable atmosphere here. It’s clear that they love their work, their establishment and the people who come to them. And the coffee is amazing! I recommend it with all my heart and wish you continued prosperity❣️

A little off the beaten path but well worth a visit! The team at Olisipo is incredibly warm and welcoming. And the coffee is beautiful! They have tons of options: espresso, alternative milks, cold brew, affogato, beans to-go, collaboration coffee pale ales, and brewing equipment like V60, filters, moka pots, etc.

Best coffee in Lisbon and extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. I wish it was open every day. UPDATE: I have been discovering their coffee in so many different shops. Well done on your distribution work and I hope you guys continue to put out such a cared for product. Please start having some beans available in Evora and Estremoz. We need you out here!

The best coffee in Portugal, roasted by Tony who has so much passion, knowledge and enthusiasm for real coffee. Coffee that is selected and roasted with care and love. If you want a great coffee this is the place. I am so pleased I can now order directly fropm the website. Sophia and Tony have built something special in Lisbon that I visit whenever there.

The coffee is very nice and tasty - perhaps the best in Lisbon (I use this brand at home and highly recommend it!) & I popped in to try the coffee shop they operate in the store on Saturdays. However, while the coffee is lovely, there was an uncomfortable atmosphere among the staff, with one member in particular being rude towards my (baby) puppy. We had just settled down, and my dog made a few quiet noises as he adapted to the other dogs in the shop - he was not barking loudly or being disruptive at all, he is very well behaved (especially for his age). If he was being loud and disruptive, I would totally understand, but he was not. However a member of staff immediately threatened to kick us out before we had properly even settled -either allow dogs, or don't (as so many coffee shops in Lisbon don't allow dogs, it's no problem), however don't say dogs are welcome to then be rude to them and their owners - especially when it's clearly a baby who was not being disruptive at all. This could have been handled in a much more personable and human way (simply asking us to pick him up etc), and not rudeness and abrasiveness. Totally changed the whole vibe and atmosphere; it became intimidating and unwelcome. A very, very disappointing experience as I was excited to try their coffee in store. Be advised if you plan on taking your dog best friend 🐶

I had an accommodation up the road but even if you are not nearby, it’s worth the walk. I felt so welcomed with honest hospitality, nice authentic chats, you will be offered something small to try like batch brew, a cold brew whatever is in hand. The barista qualities are obviously on point and they have two different roasts on the machine so you can choose. Great vibe. I loved that I was able to come two days in a row and enjoy that place.

Best place in Lisbon to drink and buy a great coffee. The owners makes a great curatorship of smalls coffee producers around the world. They open only on Saturdays, the environment is welcoming, cozy, and is a pet-friendly place.

We passed by this beautiful coffee shop and roaster by accident, returning from Palacio de Ajuda towards Santo Amaro area, and we stopped for a coffee. Not only the shop is amazing and welcoming, the coffee they serve (and sell) is roasted directly in the shop by the owners (a Portuguese/British couple) who import it from all around the world from small-scale producers, and it is delicious!!! A bit of East London in this part of Lisbon, absolutely recommended!

We went to Olisipo during our stay in Lisbon. The people I was travelling with are coffee nuts so we were bound to give this place a try. I’m glad we did as it ended up being the best coffee we had all trip. The atmosphere of the place was cosy and welcoming and the staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend making a trip to Olisipo when in Lisbon if you’re a coffee aficionado!

I’ve been coming here consistently for over a year every Saturday. I buy all my coffee beans from here for the week and I usually end up staying for 2 cappuccinos. To say this has become my favourite routine is an understatement. As Olisipo is primarily a roaster they open their doors to the public only on Saturdays as a way to get know their clientele. It’s a great way to taste coffee, educate yourself on coffee (they have loads of books and the owners are super knowledgeable) and meet locals/expats.

Always closed without a notification, even on Saturday, when they supposed to work. Not worth to get there. Upd. Company answered that i did not check the time of work, but actually i was. In google it was said it’s open that time. It’s strange why they try to make me a fool in comments instead of admitting mistake.

Spectacular coffee. We stopped in by chance as we were close by and in need of some coffee beans. We spent about 3 hours chatting to Sophia about all things coffee. (and non coffee!) It was one of our favourite afternoons in Lisbon!

Lisbon's best roaster! Stopping by on a Saturday afternoon to talk coffee and try different single origin espressos or filter coffee is a real treat. Owned and run by two sweet and passionate people. Well worth the detour.

I liked my Lisbon visit, but only reason I have to come back is this place. It was one of the best coffees I had in my life. Seriously. It is DEFINITELY worth it to spend a little more energy to get there. The owners were just a cherry on top of that great coffee - they are wonderful people you just want to meet. Go there. It won't be for the last time.

Best coffee roaster from Portugal! They open for the public just on Saturdays and it's definitely worth a visit.

  • 5/5 Francisco C. 4 years ago on Google
I really recommend making them a visit (only open saturday afternoon) if you're into specialty coffee. They roast their own coffee, which is great, and they're very nice and passioned about coffee so don't be surprise if you end up staying for much longer talking about different coffee types and techniques. Recommended 100%.
