What a great find! Staff were lovely and we had a couple of Ponchas with some visiting Americans. Nice evening out as the ship was staying overnight.

This has been my favourite spot to have a nice light evening. Ponchas are exquisite and the Maracuja drink is a perfect accompaniment for that. What won me over was the friendly owner and giving us a homely feeling even when we didn't speak any Portuguese. I have spent so many evenings here!

Great way to taste madeira without taking a flight. The poncho is a great licorice drink with passion fruit (Maracua). Also had a local soda from there. It wasn’t too sweet Can’t wait to come back

We visited in 2019. We loved it! Wonderful staff and owner. My wife’s mother was from Madeira. It made my wife feel close to her mother’s home. We plan to visit again when we return this November 😊

Very cozy place with a nice atmosphere and service. We ordered poncha and lapas and simple bolo do caco. I recommend you try maracuja poncha, it's sweet and delicious. We had lots of drinks, so we paid a bit more per person.

Awful place, the most expensive poncha, rude staff who has no idea about client service. Don’t accept cards and have a paper bills written by hand. Lisbon is so nice place with a very good restaurants. Just don’t wait your time in Madeira Pura, their only advantage is the situation in a touristic place!

Trying poncha was a great cap to our night! Good atmosphere and kind employees. We speak no Portuguese and the waiter was very accommodating.

Best Madera poncha in town! The stuff is so nice and friendly, the price is 4 euros per poncha, speaks good English and everything is just great there. If you look for a more local bar, choose this one for sure!

During our trip to Lisbon in we spent 2 lovely nights at the Madeira Pura. Very familial atmosphere and a warm reception. Extremely friendly staff. The food was AMAZING and the Ponchas (a rum punch peculiar to Madeira) were AWESOME. From now on I will always visit this place when I come to Lisbon <3

It was a nice surprise when our son was hungry in front of this bar and we dropped by with Madeira style Bifana which tasted extremely delicious. The beer and cocktail are also amazing. There was no Oyster today but it gives us a nice chance to be back next time when we are in Lisbon. The owner is super friendly and helpful in recommending the food and drinks!

Do you love amazing drinks, local atmosphere, the tastiest limpets (lapas) while being catered by the most wholesome restaurant owner? This restaurant is super casual and has delicacies from the island of Madeira. Thanks for an awesome experience!

A delightful find; family-run atmosphere with very welcoming staff. They were very helpful with recommendations on what to order, and everything was delicious - evryone loved the limpets (I don't eat shellfish, but the pork sandwich was also excellent). Prices were very reasonable (they only take cash), targeting a local clientele rather than the tourist market. Casual dining with a simple but excellent menu of tapas and sandwiches made on madeiran bread. They clearly had lots of local regulars which is always a good sign, but they made us feel very welcome as well. Highly recommended!

👍👍 I was very surprised to see that even though this is right in the middle of “tourist town” the Pastel De Nata is by far the best I have ever tried. I've been to a few places around Portugal for Pastel de Nata and this place has the best ones hands down! Their filling is unique to others and I find t...
