This place is great fun and educational for kids and for adults. As we are on holiday and not fluent in Portuguese, it was great that there were English translations for each exhibit. Highly recommend for a family friendly activity - €28 for a family pass. There's an excellent interactive part on the lower floor, Doing, where kids can make things or interact with robots. Great place if you or your children are interested in dinosaurs!

Great place for families. You can learn some more facts about space, phisics, and let kid inside you explore science of today and of the future...

What to say about the Knowledge Pavillion-Science Alive? This is an amazing science museum that is great for all ages. It features interactive and interesting expositions and activities that will draw you in and leave you wanting more and more knowledge. I highly recommend it, and this is just our second time here.

Aimed towards keeping children entertained, but there's enough there for adults to enjoy themselves too, if they're willing to enjoy themselves. Lots of fun, practical and interesting experiments, with an emphasis on recycling and water saving currently. Very educational and worthwhile. One of the most amazing children 's museum I have ever visited! I will definetely come back with my children!

For a family with kids, I would whole heartily recommend a visit, you can can end up spending the entire day, from all sorts of fun and educational things for the kids and adults to do. They alow the exit and return with the same ticket.

Let's say i went as an adult but i think the experience will be better if you go with kids! For sure because that place is specially for them! But on the outside looks big and inside there are not that much activities! Try to plan a whole day there going to the oceanário, eat there and this. That would be a nice plan!

Probably the best science museum I have been to for children. The entrance is very spacious and is designed amazingly. The main hall has a large selection of mostly typical science museum exhibits along with explanations in one space, a few I haven't seen in other science museums (very nice pool tables with different curves and a virtual wall where you can spray your graffiti with a virtual spray). All exhibits were very interactive and visual. Nothing was broken or not operational. Some you would expect to find in illusion museums too. The next big hall was for younger children and it was more like the most creative playground I have ever seen. My 9 year old ended spending a lot of time there as well and I wish we came here for the whole day when he was a bit younger too. You can wear a special velcro costume and climb a wall, thrown balls to try to hit cones of "ice-cream" and the children younger than 6 can spend sometimes in a little construction site with helmets. There was also a quite good dinosaur exhibition downstairs when we visited. Highly recommended, especially with children.

We met a lady with her kids on the bus and got to talking about fun places to take kids in Lisboa and this place was her first recommendation. A huge space for experimentation and hands-on activities. There was a room with many exhibits based on science where you could interact, another area was more of a playground, with a circus theme and many bright and colorful games. On the ground floor, another area was dedicated to technological experimentation, such as robots, gadgets, I believe I see some craft workshop, too. The open space on the ground floor was dedicated to dinosaurs, with beautiful full scale animatronics! And to the sides, more areas for activities such as digging for bones in the sand. My only disappointment with the place was that the cafeteria was outside the exhibition areas. It wasn't clear whether we could actually come back in after having something to eat/drink which is a shame because the kids could definitely stay in there for hours, but not without water, haha! On the plus side, a family ticket for 2 adults + kids cost us 30€ which was well the price, bar that last remark. Highly recommended, especially if you can go back in from the cafeteria. Then you're likely to spend a whole afternoon to let the kids have proper fun.

A very interesting museum, where the kids and adults can understand, touch and see most of the science theory and explanation. It has four main halls, regarding the age. The price for the family is 28 EUR and we had a lot of fun. Recommend it,

This live science museum is amazing! You could probably leave me in here for 2 days and I'd still find things to do. The displays are beautifully interactive, the explanations are detailed enough to be clear but concise enough to read quickly. There is circus styled kids area which kept my kids entertained for hours. Even the other exhibits had then enthralled. A great day out with the family. We'll have to do it again because even though we spent 4 hours there we skipped more than half the rooms.

This was a fantastic museum to visit for our nine year old. The museum is particularly geared towards children with many interactive displays and activities for them to take part in. It is located near the Oriente train station by the Parque das Nações.

(Translated by Google) Excellent example of how to learn to play is very fun and enriching! The "professions" workshop has proved to be a surprise for the little ones, as it allows them to experience in practice, and safely, many real activities of professions! I recommend the annual family card! Note: for which you already had a science card alive, due to the covid19, the validity was extended a few months. Mine was going to expire in Nov20 and was extended to Feb21.

I love this place almost as much as my 5-year old! It is informative, fun and perfect for the 'Why? Why? Why?' age...She was there for a friend's birthday first, and because she was so excited we also went again on 16 May when it was free entrance for Scientist Day. I understand they have a number of free tickets available everyday, but I would easily pay the ticket price for the experience gained...

(Translated by Google) It was part of the area covered by Expo 98 in 1998, currently called Parque das Nações. The design of its building was designed by the architect Carrilho da Graça and the engineer António Adão da Fonseca, and was awarded the Valmor and Municipal Architecture Prize in 1998, ex-architect with the Pavilhão de Portugal, in the same area. During that event, the pavilion was called "Pavilhão do Conhecimento dos Mares", and its contents showed the relationship between Man and the Oceans over time. Among the attractions at the time, there was a showcase with miniature holograms, numerous models of boats and submarines, and a life-size model of a submarine designed by Leonardo da Vinci. With the end of the event, the space was remodeled as the Pavilion of Knowledge and opened to the public in July 1999, becoming the largest interactive Science and Technology center in the network of Ciência Viva centers in the country. It receives an average of more than 850 visitors per day.

Excellent place to spend time with your 4+/16- children, lots of real world examples explaining laws of physics. Even being adult you might enjoy experiencing realities which are familiar from your childhood. Plan to spend around two hours in this place unless you have infinite time and let your children as long as they want.

On our last day of Lisbon holiday, kids decided to do something of their interest. They chose the science museum over Oceanarium ( i think its because of the interactivity factor). Boy! Were we engaged? Oh yes! As an adult, i also learned a thing or two. This place needs a full day or better part of the day. The museum has lots of assistants who help kids with activities. My daughter and i took up sewing projects and made cute stuff to take home. Their DOING section deserves a special mention as that was the highlight of our visit. The cafe is nice too and the toilets are also interesting with science facts. All in all, a great day of learning science with kids. For tourists, it might seem an off-the-beaten-track activity, but if you have kids from 7 to 12 years old, do take them here..its worth it!

Wooo amazing place, Must go with kids! A cute robot welcomed us at the hall. Place divided few different activities. My kids spent half day here. And they didn't want to left. It is very fun and hands on place for kids to explore different things. If time allows me I would let them stay all day here. So impressed lying on the nails. And my daughter got bicycle on a rop. The "Doing room" was our much time spent. We built a drawing machine with a small piece of engine with 2 batteries operates. a flying pig we made was another cool thing. So much fun. Highly recommend this place.

Fantastic place with so much for kids to do. Our 3.5 year old loved the circus area and the building a house. We spent hours there and will go back for more, we only found the robots and ground floor craft section as we were leaving. Highly recommend especially for the 3-10 yr olds

For children aged 3-6, I highly recommend a visit. Works as an indoor playground and in addition stimulates a curiosity for science. With our 4 year old, three hours flew by quickly. Photos show a drawing of a "rainbow turtle" scanned into an "aquarium" and a hide-and-seek camouflage.

Wow, what a museum! First of all, if you dont have kids this museum may not be for you. There are a couple of rooms more for older kids and adults but this place is really amazing for kids. Our 4 year old girls love this museum and we could have spent the whole day there! It was clean, spacious, bright and with so many fun interactive things to do while learning scientific principles. Our girls loved the construction area and spent nearly an hour there trying to finish the house. All the volunteers and staff members were so friendly and approachable. Remember to keep your tickets as you can enter multiple times and if you go to the cafeteria (recommended) you need your ticket to go out and back in. This is a must do activity especially on a 🌧 day in Lisbon if you have kids. Obrigada!

Went on a midweek morning thinking it be quiet. Unfortunately so many school trips who all seemed badly supervised, my 2 children struggled to get on anything, we had to wait for gaps in between the classes, when we had chance my daughter went on the construction play area, had 5 minutes and was then told to leave because another class was coming in. Bit unfair. Wont be rushing back

We were not planning to go here, but the dinosaur signage caught our eye and what a great change of plans! This is simply one of the best children's museum I have been to. Maybe #1 with the Austin one being second. It will likely end up being the kiss's favorite Lisbon memory.

We had an absolute blast at the science museum in Lisbon! The museum's interactive exhibits and hands-on activities were engaging and educational. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience even more enjoyable. The museum's dedication to making science exciting and accessible for children is truly commendable. quite an entertaining place, filled with toys. be sure to ride on the bike! and pay attention to puzzles, illusions and instructions. lots of fun learning for kids and adults (not so much for teens, probably). i've visited a few similar science halls in different countries, and while this isn't the cheapest (it doesn't even have a good cost benefit, in my humble opinion) it's still very much worthwhile. :)

I loved it as a kid and I love it now :)

Amazing place to learn about science. There are a lot of cool gadgets where you can see and touch to learn basic science. There is even a small whirlwind, that looks very cool, it's like a baby tornado. And there were a exhibit about the secrets of the digestive system. Pretty cool to visit with your children.
