"Kerala" is a very nice Indian restaurant in Lisbon. of course, you can try variety of authentic Kerala taste here. The Kerala porotta and chicken curry which was made by the kitchen chef on my special request was super Tasty. Owners and staffs were very friendly Highly recommend to those who want to taste authentic Kerala food in Lisbon.

Authentic Kerala restaurant. The menu items are carefully selected (unlike many Indian restaurants) and prepared as they're in Kerala. The owner runs the kitchen too and this is reflected in the quality of the food. During our brief stay in Lisbon, we ended up going there for dinner every day (and packing some takeout for the next morning too). Try the 'pidi and kozhi', 'meen pollichathu' and 'kozhi varutharachathu' for something unique.

This was our Go-To restaurant for Indian food in Lisbon. They maintain it well and the head chef runs the restaurant with passion. There are a lot of must try's - All their vada varieties are good, Kerala paratha with kadala curry is top class, All their dosas are yummy and made of ghee. Special mention to their dessert menu - Uniyappam is too good, Mango Lassi is the best (they make with fresh mango pulp), Sambaram (Spicy butter milk is the best that I have had so far) and lastly the signature rose petal icecream is a must try.

Cannot begin to describe the feeling of finally finding good biryani and dosa in Lisboa! Kerala Restaurant has good service, amazing food and good portion for the dishes. This is going to be our regular. Highly recommend trying the taste of South India.

My husband (Indian, originally from Kerala) and I (German) went here for lunch today on our last day of vacation in Portugal. I’ve lived in India, Kerala for a year in 2014 and therefore very well know the authentic South Indian cuisine, especially Kerala’s cuisine. I had ordered a Masala Dosa, Kadala Curry with Puttu (my favorite dish), two Uzhunnu Vada as well as two Parippu Vada. My husband had ordered Chicken 65 and Beef Pepper Fry. Everything we ordered was delicious. For everyone having second thoughts: I genuinely doubt you get that authentic AND tasty Kerala dishes at every other corner. Service was kind and quick, I cannot understand the complains. The owner is very approachable and has a chit-chat with all his customers making sure everything is fine. He talked to us for at least 15-20 minutes. Very nice guy! I do highly recommend eating here if you want to try or crave yummy and authentic Kerala cuisine. Trust me, you won't find anything beating this in Lisbon! ;-)

Genuine piece of Kerala in the middle of Lison! We tried almost everything on the menu. Our favourites were authentic fish curry, fish pollichathu, Kerala porotta and beef curry. Other star items were Chicken biriyani, chicken varutharachathu, puttu, pidi and kozhi. Everything was extremely delicious. We didnt want to go back from this place because of this restaurant. We returned here for every meal. Still cant forget the taste of puttu and fish pollichathu. So many vegetarian, vegan food options. Puttu and kadala curry was marvellous. We tried unni appam and panchamrutham which i suggest everyone to have at the restaurant while it’s served hot. Would 100% return here if we are visiting Lisbon again. Met the chefs who are from Kochi and Kozhikode who know the heart and soul of Kerala cuisine. You wont be disappointed. Arguably the food was equally delicious as the food we get in Kerala ! Honourable mention is our server Kulwinder who helped us choose items on the menu and suggested the right items with so much love genuinely and enthusiasm. Loved the experience! Hope you guys open a restaurant in Miami some day :)!!

Visiting Lisbon on holiday, bumped into this South Indian restaurant as we would like to have atleast one Indian meal a couple of days. Really good quality food, some of the dishes are very authentic South Indian and an aubergine based curry i ordered I felt was not that authentic South Indian but more of a usual Indian curry, the taste was still very good though. Ordered a traditional dessert which is unniappam which was super yummy and very authentic. The owner was very humble, approached us at the table and when there was a slight misunderstanding in the list of items when the order was taken, she explained the reason and was very apologetic, it was so kind! All the staff were very kind and courteous. The restaurant was super busy, that explains their popularity! Definitely will visit again once more before we leave Lisbon!

KERALA is One of the best south Indian restaurants in Portugal. The service and ambiance are excellent. Food is authentic as it gets for Kerala food. Chef, Vijeesh is friendly and made recommendations for my group. Must stop Indian restaurant place if you are visiting Lisbon.

Delicious Indian from the south! This is currently my favorite Indian food in Lisbon. The potato stuffed dosa is phenomenal! So good. And the curries were fabulous as well, not super heavy.

I liked the food, it was pretty tasty, but when reading the reviews I expected something more I guess. The best was definitely the Chicken 65, nicely spicy, great flavors. The tikka masala was good, but not the best honestly. Also the portion was kinda small, they could at least fill the whole pot. Same with the mango lassi, smallest portion with comparison to other places. The service is the weakest part though. I was given an incomplete menu, which is very annoying for the first time visitor. Also the place wasn't that busy at the time, but calling someone for an order or to pay was a superhuman task.

Ordered so many times through UberEats but just got a chance to come here for the first time - and damn, the food is even better served fresh ! Everything was amazing, and the flavors super authentic! None of that ‘Indian looking’ dishes - this preparation was bang on !

The worst Indian restaurant in Portugal these people are so selfish people price is so high in any Indian in Portugal If you request for a refill of a small masala dosa refill of the coconut chutney nobody's going to charge in Portugal but these people are charging for that even and I had flow so I asked some hot water they even charge for the hot water also I asked some small piece of onion they charge for that also my first and last visit is this place and I will not recommend to anyone to go there it is not worth it really bad experience I'm going to post the photos and the bill to show you the proof you can see it's not a mineral water it's just the tap water they made it hot and gave it to me and they charge it for that also... So cheap people they just need money only not the reputation... Don't visit to this place not worth it at for the money that you're paying

Kerala is an authentic south Indian food restaurant which are running by a lovely couple Mr. and Mrs Vijeesh. The hospitality, quality and food quantity are outstanding. We ordered Puttu, kadalai curry, meen poluchu, parota and paniyaram. All the dishes are 10/10. We left the restaurant not only with full stomach and with unlimited happiness. Thank you both 😊.

One of the best (if not the best) Indian place I've been to. It was recommended by an Indian friend who's been living in Lisbon for a number of years. In our group, we had an Indian guy who also loved it. The owner and his lovely wife are very hospitable, friendly, very knowledgeable, take their time with recommendations, answered all our questions very patiently. Cherry on the top was creamy delicious vanilla rose ice cream.

My cousin Rajesh Pillai took us to this place and we had some amazingly delicious authentic Kerala dishes served. The pidi kozhi was the star and so also the porotta and the dum biriyani. We could cherish the rich heritage of Kerala cuisine. The chef and his team showered us with much love and hospitality. Will highly recommend this to anyone looking for authentic South Indian food in Lisbon, Portugal.

(Translated by Google) We liked the main dishes very much (we chose three of the house specialties). The terrace is very nice (although at the beginning of the meal we shared it with two gentlemen who had already drunk too much beer, which was not exactly pleasant). The service is careful and has improved over the meal. The prices seemed a little high for the servings served. Finally, the rose petal ice cream, which is apparently everyone's favorite dessert, did not convince me (soap knows too much, so to speak). On the other hand, the samosas are probably the best I've ever eaten.

This was probably the best Indian food I've had in my life. I've never actually been to India, but I have eaten plenty of Indian food in my life, in different countries and this restaurant might be the best of them all. Aside from how tasty and well seasoned and prepared the food was, they also have some dishes that you rarely find in other Indian restaurants like dosas. The interior was unique and beautiful. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. I'll be coming back and I'd recommend anyone to go there!

Very authentic food! Try varutharacha kozhumba chicken or lamb with malabar paratha. Chicken 65 had fresh curry leaves on them giving it to he extra richness of flavour <3 For drinks try the ayurvedic lemonade- Nanari Sharbat. On top of this the people are very nice to talk to and if you are new to Kerala food they will guide you through the menu and the culture. Enjoy the aunthenticity and the must have of Lisbon!

Simply the best Indian restaurant I have encountered in 40 years of exploring Indian food, north and south. Great food. Really, just great food. Nothing bad to point about the service. Had a mango lassi, which i drank up too quickly, i guess you know why. My main dish was Panner Tikka Masala, Garlic naan and plain rice. I live in Denmark, and i kid you not, i would be ready to fly from here to Portugal just for the food at this restaurant. Nothing, at all, to put a finger on from my experience. This review is made from a guy, who has roots from south asia. The photos i have attached isn't only my own food, but also meat and seafood dishes (the other ordered)

Kerala we love you! There is a lot of "Indian" places in Lisbon, but so many are adjusted to the Portuguese palate (not very spicy, sometimes overly sweet). This place was NOT and we loved it!
