👍👍 A retired couple kicking about, we were actually attracted to the 'green' 'alley' this restaurant is on. A quiet gem of a find. Small and comfortable like a good pair of shoes you keep. A welcoming (English spoken) atmosphere, with excellent service, good food, good presentation, and inexpensive.... People often mention Lisbon, good, street, staff, great, service, friendly, delicious, amazing, rice,

Cash only ! The atmosphere was good and the staff was kind. Letting me know that I ordered two main dishes it might be too full that’s very kind. 😊

Your in for a delicious feast of great seafood, wine and vegetarian food if you go to A Obra! We went twice and not just because the mussels were amazing, but also because you can sit in this beautiful street and enjoy the nice curated wine and olives.

Truly amazing food especially the pork cheek and Octopus rice and granny hat salad. The service was attentive and patient with three young kids (they brought out chalk!). Lots of delicious gluten free options. A fabulous lunch. Highly recommend.

The Santos area is filled with charming cafes and bistros and A Obra got the best spot. Staff were warm and welcoming, food was good and in general it's been a joy to grab a table outside, curl up with my book, and enjoy a glass of wine and tapas before the Green street came alive and noisy with locals. I ordered grilled shrimps and they were good but lacking any special flavor and balance. The veins in shrimps were not removed, so I had to do the job myself which I didn’t quite enjoy. Overall the experience was good, but for that price I would expect a little bit more of an effort from the place. However you should definitely do yourself a favor and visit the green Street Lisbon, it’s amazing.

A wonderful little eatery in Lisbon which we had recommended to us. It was a great first dinner here. The staff and food were just incredible, such reasonable prices also. The “green wine” which they recommend was a great accompaniment also. We had : - Gnocchi with butternut squash and spinach - Beef with rocket - Octopus rice - Iberian Pork As always, any seafood rice will always be the show stealer - simply divine.

Both atmosphere and food are really good. Staff are so nice and helpful. I really enjoyed the vegetarian food and Octopus rice. They were so delicious. Inside is a bit small and pact but it’s cozy and warm. You need to wait at weekends. Better to reserve in advance.

We had a drink and some afternoon snack. The green street is very lovely and nice to sit in and just relax. The place located in the middle of the green street has inside and outside sitting area. We had sparkling water and cheese with bread & fresh fries to snack. The food was good. Unfortunately, the waiters haven’t been the most welcoming. We had to observe very uncomfortable situation and it didn’t feel at ease. I don’t know who was right who was wrong but the conflict could have been easily avoided :)

A sublime experience! From the friendly welcome (they moved tables to accommodate our party of 6), to the flavourful dishes (my favourites were the octopus rice and mussels), to the ambience of the street and restaurant, it was a great evening. The best meal we had in Lisbon.

Really tasty food in a cozy little space. There are not many tables, so go early or make a reservation. Cash only, but there’s an ATM down the street!

Wow! The best food we’ve had in Lisbon! We didn’t plan to order food, but after trying the first dish we were dying to try out more, and it did not disappoint 😍

Absolutely stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant in Lisbon, and it turned out to be the highlight of our trip! From the delectable toast with prawns to the mind-blowing octopus risotto—seriously, the best I've ever had—every bite was superb. The entire experience was top-notch. The staff was incredibly friendly, adding to the fantastic ambiance. Don't miss out on this epic dining spot—I highly recommend it!

The place is charming , the staff was really friendly, not too pushy but very reactive when called , there is a various choice of cocktail and the food was succulent! The menu is super vegan friendly. It’s the perfect place to share dishes , we recommend to arrive before 20:00 if you want to eat outside and not waiting for a place to sit. Our favorite dish was the prawn tartare & the gnocchi with butternut squash

Got to say, this is one of the few hidden gems you would experience in Lisbon. The place is quite small but very quaint. The decor fits the atmosphere but best of all is the food. We had several appetizers and a main course of pork steak. The entire course was very flavorful and delicious. Furthermore, I had a mind allergic response and the staff were very helpful and caring. Highly recommend this place!

This place came recommended to us by a chef at Tasca Baldracca and a coworker living in Lisbon. We ended up liking A Obra so much we came twice during our short stay. It's the perfect place to relax and have a slow afternoon, and not a bad spot to bring a toddler. They have a few seats outside on Green Street, which allowed for my toddler to run around and play while we enjoyed our meal in relative peace. Green Street has the best ambiance - a quiet walkway lined with plants, old buildings, low doorways, and cute shops. They have a terrific menu of wines, cocktails, and petiscos. We ordered all of the petiscos on the menu and they were all exceptional. Great wine bar food. Not to mention, the apple mojito mocktail is very refreshing. We came in the early afternoon, around 1:30-2:30 both times and it wasn't crowded, but we did make reservations in advance the first time by text messaging. CASH ONLY

Really nice atmosphere, a small place and menu, but big flavours, really nice food and lovely staff. Would highly recommend the black pork or chicken with barley, and the choc mouse to finish. Delicious.

Simple amazing. I had the shrimp on briouch. Bread was perfect. Shrimp fresh. Flavors spot on. Also half liter of beer is 4 euro. Olive plate was enjoyable. I will be back.

One of the best place we ate in Lisbon. Not traditional Portuguese food but it’s a culinary experience. A little gem. Everything was delicious and the service was also extremely friendly. Unfortunately doesn’t take card payments (but none of the other restaurants on the same street which is weird). The location is also beautiful. Don’t miss this place out when you’re in Lisbon 💯

one of the best and most memorable place we have ever eaten during our trip in Lisbon!! It’s tucked away in a small alley but is full of character and uniqueness… they were extremely friendly and so kind towards us :) especially Tatiana Our favourites were the prawn brioche, octopus rice, cabbage, gnocchi! Thank you guys, must try !!

Veggie, vegan and fish dishes. Surprisingly good flavors and creative presentation and friendly staff. Located in the green street in Lisbon, it's an oasis.

Amazing spot for wines and tapas. The natural scenery of green street makes for the perfect backdrop for a Instagram worthy pit stop! A must stop for natural wine seekers!

Visited A Obra with my partner and we had a wonderful experience! We felt very welcome and at home the first moment we asked the owner for a table for two outside. The owner chose our dishes for us (as requested) and did so perfectly. These people clearly love what they do. You taste it in the food - nothing too complex, but absolutely deliciously spot on, you notice it with the sweet and kind staff and the love for their plants (lots of plants), and the vibe surrounding the place. The sangria was also lovely. I strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an easygoing place with lovely food and easygoing service. Will be visiting once more before we leave lisbon!!!

I love this restaurant! I have been multiple time and the food is always amazing (great veggie options!), such a great service and in the cutest setting. The price is affordable based on the amazing quality of food.

A retired couple kicking about, we were actually attracted to the 'green' 'alley' this restaurant is on. A quiet gem of a find. Small and comfortable like a good pair of shoes you keep. A welcoming (English spoken) atmosphere, with excellent service, good food, good presentation, and inexpensive. They let us sample several wines B4 choosing. We split the codfish w kale with tapas recommended by the young (for us :) waitress. A plus, she also gave us tips on other places to visit few visitors know. .... We totally LOVED where she suggested we see the fireworks from on New Years Eve. So fun! We have gone back. Maybe not for young children.
