Fantastic! we decided to try it out for lunch time after visiting the Saturday Santa Clara flea market and we were blown away by the sheer creativity of each of the dishes, all of them containing mushrooms as an ingredient, each unique plate was delicious even the dessert options also containing mushroom turned out to be a hit, the ambience is very nice too and the service was super friendly! definitely a must visit in Lisbon, it truly deserves 5 stars, TOP!

One of the most innovative and delicious restaurants I have ever been to in Lisbon. This restaurant uses mushrooms in every dish they serve, I wish we could have ordered everything as it looked all delicious but this means we have to go back and try the rest. I loved my Thai (Tom Kha Hed) soup with Oyster mushrooms which had the right combination of flavours. I also really enjoyed the Gnocchi and mushroom dish too - so rich and tasty. Then we moved on to the interesting mushroom desserts - a mushroom creme brulee which was delicious and the slightly strange but tasty porcini ice-cream. The restaurant itself is quite unique with its decor so overall it is a great experience!

Dined here 3 years ago and loved it, so made sure to visit this time around. Ordered the perfect egg plus specials beef bourguignon and salmon. The perfect egg is hard to describe but so yummy! Salmon was perfectly rare and some of the best salmon I've had. Beef was excellent. We were so stuffed couldn't fit dessert unfortunately. Servers are great. The atmosphere is cool. We'll be back.

What an experience. Eclectic space, clientele, bathroom and menu. Courageous chef(s). Kind Italian waiters. Delicious- for the most part, but not always- dishes. Surprising combinations (try the porcini ice cream). Highly recommended. It will expend your conception of what is possible, and make for an unforgettable memory. Recommended .

By far a great mushroom food experience. The owner is an Italian chef in love with mushrooms. Highly recommend the special egg as starter: explosion of taste! Portions are pretty big, don’t order too much. Porcini ice cream is a must have!

Great meal here. Quirky atmosphere with cool aesthetic, lovely staff, beautifully prepared food. We had the bread sharing platter to start, risotto, ravioli, gnocchi for main and then a couple of people had puddings. Nice selection of craft beers, wines and some cocktails. Would recommend.

Simply incredible; I'm not exaggerating. One wonderful culinary experience across the world of mushrooms and their culinary versatility. It was so good my girlfriend and I went two nights in a row. We managed to try 2/3 of the menu already, since the portions allow you to share plates (which I highly recommend to get the most out of the experience). Each plate has a story, a "something" that makes it unique and surprising. Can't wait to come back to experience the few plates I haven't tried yet. Overall, a great atmosphere for a cozy date. 11/10, simply amazing

Outstanding! We couldn't believe this place existed. The food is delicious. We had a mushroom patè to start with, wild mix with polenta for the mail and incredible ice-cream with truffles. Absolutely charming and incredible place. A wholehearted recommendation.

Super fast and friendly service accommodating of other languages (English for me). Delicious and interesting food - I particularly enjoyed the porcini icecream which is a generous serving and great flavours! And the earl grey house iced tea is great too.

Honestly the best food experience I've had in Lisbon- by far. The tastes are carefully curated, the ingredients are clearly top quality, and whoever is in the kitchen clearly loves their job. Likewise the staff is very friendly and good at their job, and the place itself is quirky and welcoming. I couldn't recommend this place more. Fan tas tic.

I love mushrooms, and when I heard that there was a restaurant in Lisbon whose entire menu was built around fungi, I knew that I had to go. I wasn't disappointed - in fact the experience exceeded my expectations. First, I should say that the proprietor and genius behind this innovative menu, Luigi, is an absolutely delightful man. He happily took the time to explain the menu and the origins of some of the more exotic mushrooms on offer. To start, we shared a Burrata with Chanterelles, pumpkin and sage. It was creamy, sweet, earthy and delicious. For mains, my partner had a Risotto with Porcini and Black Trumpet mushrooms, topped with orange zest, walnuts and rosemary. Oh my... the depth of flavour of this dish was incredible. I had a giant ravioli filled with lamb, potato and egg yolk, in a sauce made with the rare Amanita Ponderosa mushroom. Rich, meaty, wow... Then dessert was a other level. I'll admit, as much as I love mushrooms, I've never considered using them in desserts before, but my eyes are now open to a whole new realm of possibility. My partner had the Creme Brulé with Truffle and Licorice. This dessert was very rich and intense - truffle is a very powerful flavour, and you either love it or you don't. She loved it, but if you're not a hardcore fungiphile this may not be an "entry level" dish. I had the Porcini ice cream. Ohhhh... so, so, so good! Just mind-blowing. This is a hidden gem of a restaurant off a little praça on the edge of the Alfama. Maybe a little more expensive (although not much) than some of the traditional Portuguese restaurants around, but very reasonable for the quality and imagination on offer. I highly recommend Santa Clara dos Cogumelos.

Very cute and special restaurant in which all dishes include some kind of mushrooms, even the desert. We were surprised by the deap flavours and the very special dishes and liked also the ambiente and an exceptional service. A clear recommendation !

This was an absolutely incredible experience. While an all mushroom menu may seem intimidating, I assure you it's worth the trip. The presentation of the dishes is immaculate but taste alone is enough to transport you into a world of lovely flavors that blend together harmoniously. I highly recommend coming here if you only have one restaurant to go to in Lisbon. *Make sure to make reservations ahead of time.

Excellent experience! Everything was delicious- even mushroom ice cream. Believe it or not, but it was one of the best ice cream I’ve had :)

Had a great time here with some delicious risotto and gnocchi. The risotto was nutty and tasted a bit of orange and was such a pleasant surprise. The gnocchi were also so delicious and huge and went perfect with the mushrooms, cream cheese and pickled onions. The entres were also super good and it felt like we went through them so fast. Perfect sizes too, we felt neither hungry nor too full after eating here. Will definitely return here next time I'm in Lisbon. The theming of the place is also pretty cool riffing on AC/DC (SC/DC). The music was jazzy and soft in the background. Great atmosphere.

One of the best dinners I’ve had anywhere!! Amazing mushroom dishes very creative and delicious! We had the wild mushroom on polenta and the mushroom ravioli, both were fantastic! Also had the mushroom ice cream which was delish! I wish we had tried some of the tapas.Friendly service. I would highly recommend! Update: I had to go back, there was so much we hadn’t tried the first night! Tonight we had the mushroom patè, the mushroom soup, the risotto, the gnocchi, and the burrata. All of them were excellent… can’t go wrong at this place!!

Absolutely loved this place. The food tasted amazing, I love the mushroom concept. I had beet risotto and the ice cream to top it off. The service was quick and kind. The music was a csny, ccr, willie nelson mix; the vibes here were perfect. I think this place would be a great spot to try if you like mushrooms and even if you don't like mushrooms, maybe it would change your mind.

This place was amazing! We got the shrimp and shiitake appetizer which was okay (the shrimp was overcooked but the sauce was phenomenal) and then for the meal, we shared the ravioli and the gnocchi. Both were incredibly delicious and full of flavor. I also got a lemonade which was clearly homemade and very good, not too sweet. To finish off, we got the mushroom ice cream and it was so so so good. I’d go back just for that! The servers were all awesome and we just absolutely loved this experience. Just note, it’s kind of in a weird area that’s dark and doesn’t seem that inviting but it’s absolutely worth the trek

Small and cozy - therefore fast service. Best mushroom experience you will ever get. Mushroom icecream was suitable ending of the dinner.

The Perfect Egg was tasty, but ultimately the truffle overpowered things a little. Also, some parts of the dish were kind of cold while the egg was warm, which wasn't the best experience. The mushroom risotto recommended by the waitress was delicious! A very good example of mushroom risotto done right - brought to that extra level with the crunchy orange peel and rosemary. Loved the portion size! I opted for the 'surprise' dessert and was a bit disappointed - standard version of the dessert. Good but slightly heavy and the mushroom element was very minor.

This restaurant was recommended to us by a local chef — and it proved to be a great recommendation! Our meal here was the highlight of our visit to Lisbon, right up there with the best I’ve eaten anywhere. “Cogumelos” = mushroom, and mushrooms feature throughout, but with such skill that they always elevate, never overpower. I feel very lucky to have eaten at this remarkable restaurant.

I have been meaning to come here for years & am kicking myself for not coming earlier. Really nice atmosphere. Food was amazing but you do need to love mushrooms, which I do! Wine list good. Dogs welcome which is an absolute bonus. I’ll definitely be eating here again & again!

As someone very interested in the health benefits of mushrooms, finding this place was a treat. From the moment you walk in you're immersed in the magical world of fungi. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Amazing experience - once again! This is my third time visiting the restaurant, and the quality is still top notch👌🏽 Would especially recommend the perfect egg and the king oyster mushroom ice cream.

Stumbled on this fun & amazing restaurant, not realizing it leans toward vegetarianish! Cogumelos are mushrooms for you English speakers! Awesome concept, awesome staff! Had one of our top 10 dining experiences for my wife and I! Just WOW! Go there! DO NOT miss this place

Hate to do this because I loved the service here. But the food didn’t live up to the high reviews. We had the perfect egg, fried mushrooms, risotto, one of the beef dishes that came with a salad, and a daily special carbonara and none of the dishes were amazing. Flavours were lacking in some of them. Though the mushroom ice cream was pretty good. Maybe my expectations were too high (or Toronto’s food scene has spoiled me) but I would classify the food here as average at best if you’re the type of person that tries to find the best food in each city. Great atmosphere and service though.

Absolutely amazing experience, highly recommend. The Perfect Egg was just that & bread was amazing. We had the morel ravioli, risotto, gnocchi & tagliata—each of with were amazing. The mushroom ice cream was delicious & the truffle crème brûlée was polarizing (truffle fans loved it)

Amazing dishes. I eat mushrooms a lot but never experienced something like this. Also the staff is very friendly and will explain what kind of mushrooms they use for the food. The mushroom ice-cream is a must try. Also the prices are decent in my opinion. Can only recommend:)
