I was not impressed. I came here upon recommendation from my friends and decided to do the 30€ tasting menu. When I first arrived, no one would acknowledge me. I just stood there waiting to ask to be seated. The first thing one of the servers said to me was that they only accept Portuguese cards or cash. I thought this was odd considering we are in a large urban area. Even the remote areas I visited in Portugal, accepted Visa. The food was a fusion of Portuguese and Japanese food. While the presentation was beautiful, I thought the food was mediocre at best, but perhaps it’s because I’ve been spoiled living in SF and have visited Japan. The portions are also very very tiny (each “tasting” is the size of a nigiri or smaller). You get 10 food items and 4 desserts. I didn’t like any of the desserts and found two of them to be quite bitter, but thought that the soup and the dumpling were good. Everything else wasn’t very memorable. The only redeeming thing about this place was the amazing, kind waitress that I had. She described everything wonderfully and was very attentive. I spent close to 40€ for the tasting, water, and tip and definitely didn’t think it was worth it. So overall 1/5 for the lukewarm welcome upon walking in, 1/5 for not accepting major credit cards, 3/5 for the food, and 5/5 for the service.

Highly recommending the tasting menu! Every single one of the 14 dishes we had was amazing. Lot’s of traditional dishes from different regions in Portugal (some with a “twist” from the chef). If I had to choose my favorite, it would probably be the grilled sardine nigiri 🤤. The service is very friendly and nice, explaining each dish in details.

Can't believe I just stumbled into this beautiful tiny restaurant. The chef is masterful, the staff are humble and kind. Best of all the food is amazing. I had the 14 course tasting menu, which is very reasonably priced. Each dish was fantastic. Highly recommend if you want to impress someone. Good for 2 - 4 only I think, given the small interior.

Came here at the recommendation of a friend and we were blown away by the tasting menu! I tasted beautiful flavors today that I've never tasted in my life and I don't have a higher compliment than that. A very reasonable price and an incredible selection of different types of food. The favorites were the ox tongue dumplings, the sardine flan, and the dried and marinated tuna. The best meal we've had in Lisbon so far! Call or message on Instagram to make a reservation.

A great find in an ocean of many great options. A ten course tasting menu at $35 euros was a steal and the flavors were off the hook. Two glasses of wine and a total of 46 euros - what a steal.

MICHELIN-WORTHY!!! This was not just the best meal we had in Portugal, it was one of the best meals and dining experiences I have had in years. Everything was just perfect, from the incredible food to the friendly and helpful staff. If there's any justice in this world the place will be included in the next Michelin Guide. Go there now before it gets famous!

Simply phenomenal mix of creativity and challenging cuisine that was our best in Lisbon. 30€chef’s tasting menu felt like they should have charged 50-100+ €. Memorable for years- thanks to their staff for the experience

Delightful tasting menu meal and incredible, knowledgeable service. Great wine (and prices) as is typical in Lisbon! Be sure to take in a beautiful view of the city from Miradouro da Graça after dinner! Make sure you bring cash if coming from outside of Portugal.

We saw the stellar reviews and were determined to walk thru a flash torrential rain to get here. (Tried to make reservations but line was always busy, not surprisingly) We were warmly welcomed and seated at bar. Imho, best seat in the house! Watching the skilled team quietly execute the most delicious and flavourful dishes we have enjoyed in a long time.

Fantastic food. One of the best meals I had in months. The tasting menu is excellent value and quality. Ok you don’t get a lot of vegetables but hey, that’s a matter of taste. The dessert tasting menu is also highly recommended.

Great little restaurant. The people working there were super kind, explaining every dish and often checking in on how we were doing. The food is just amazing, you can taste how fresh it is and that it’s made by great people. The tasting menu was €30 instead of €25, not sure if it’s because of the weekend or because of covid. Either way, still great value obviously. I will recommend to friends going to Lisbon and will definitely go back myself too.

Everything smoked (sashimi + sushi) is amazing and a must try. Other dishes are very good but not wow. Would not return. A menu makes sense. Overall pricey for single dishes. Reservation needed.

Ohne Reservierung keine Chance! Somit preis / Leistung sehr gut.

We were really excited to try an omakase take on Portuguese food. Paid €35 for a 10 course meal + 4 desserts. Out of the 14 dishes, only 4 was good. The flavour of the others were quite disappointing, and we didn't see how it was a fusion as most of the dishes were just Portuguese food served in omakase style, and little to no japanese influence on it. Still, the waitresses were nice and service was great. Hope to see this nice spot improve on the japanese cultural influence on their dishes!

A really special restaurant, me and my partner had dinner and went for the tasting menu. The whole experience was memorable. As someone who isn't a dessert person, they were exceptional. Couldn't fault the service

Amazing food and service! We both shared the tasting menu and the experience was fantastic. They were even willing to substitute seafood for the entree that had meat. All the food was sourced locally and creatively fused in a Japanese style. Delicious! Hats off to the service as well for she was always there with a smile to deliver our gastric delights.

A 30 euro Portuguese-Japanese-French fusion tasting menu, with a focus on fish. Each creation was quite good, aesthetically pleasing, and creative. I enjoyed in particular the sea fennel creme brulee, the sardine nigiri, the fish soup in the charming little glass tankard, and the fish piece in olive oil. The melon juice was refreshing. Outdoor diners got blankets to stave off the cold in the late evenings. (Photos are blurry and didn't capture all courses.)

Loved the tasting menu, the sadine nigiris are awesome and the deserts were all interesting. The staff was nice and the recommended wine was good. Lovely evening! The only remark I would have is I wish they picked up the phone more often, had been trying to book a table for weeks but no one would pick up. Finally decided to try and just show up yesterday, and fortunately we were able to get a table :)

Best restaurant in Portugal! What a lovely evening we had with great wines and great, fresh fish dishes. In my opinion the quality and ambiance was star-worthy. Wines are cheap for the quality they serve and the same goes for the food. People are super friendly and atmosphere is nice. 10/10 would recommend.

Headline: If there's space, RESERVE! Details: 1. The best restaurant in the area 2. It's worth 3 times the price of the tasting menu. 2a. It says 10 dishes, but really it's FOURTEEN!! The last four are dessert 3. The staff is SO friendly You HAVE to go!

Group of 12, we all had the tasting menu and it was amazing. Incredibly tasty, perfect portions and very well served. The staff was knowledgeable of allergens ( gluten , lactose and a pregnant lady) and modified the menu accordingly. They were very kind and explained each dish in details . We had a surprising experience that I can’t wait to repeat . Chapeau and bravo!

This tiny place surprises with an amazing culinary experience from the talented chef complimented with friendly accommodating service from the entire staff. Highly reccommend the $35 Euro tasting menu. Our entire group of 13 were blown away by the inventive dishes and wine pairings. This was our favorite meal in Lisbon and I can't wait to come back again.

Amazing €25 tasting menu!! Traditional Portuguese ingredients used in new creative ways with a bit of Japanese inspiration. Maybe the best value in all of Lisbon

Product-focused, high-quality, creative, hearty. Stuff super friendly, knowledgeable...you can just have normal chat, quite refreshing. Explanations in perfect english. Value for money is out of this World, considering that it's in the heart of Lisbon, I would pay at least 50€ for the Menu, actually even more. Highly recommended without any restrictions!

Tasting menu is really just to try a dish - a tiny bite of it, so don’t be confused by “10 dishes”. So you can’t expect to satisfy your hunger just by this set. However the size of a main course was also disappointing, very small, not enough even after this tasting set. Be ready to wait - every dish of this tasting set comes after 15 minutes break. Tooooo long to wait for the next round. Started at 7 p.m. and hopefully will finish only at 9:30. Price is too high to be honest. We were desperate to finish and go eat some pizza.
