UPDATE
-
this
gym
is
worse
than
ever.
I
visited
today
because
they've
had
a
refurbishment
-
but
sadly
this
was
a
total
waste
of
time
and
money
thanks
to
the
appalling
customer
service
and
total
absence
of
any
management.
The
gym
was
chaos.
Queues
for
every
machine
and
all
the
12-15kg
dumbbells
were
taken
for
one
of
the
step
classes
-
so
I
couldn't
do
the
shoulder
workout
that
I'd
planned.
And
-
of
course
-
plenty
of
gear
lying
around
in
the
wrong
place!
The
PTs
are
the
worst
thing
about
this
gym.
They
care
solely
about
THEIR
individual
clients
-
and
do
nothing,
whatsoever
to
manage
the
gym
fairly
for
everyone
else.
PTs
are
meant
to
make
a
gym
BETTER
-
but
these
PTs
make
the
gym
WORSE
for
anyone
who
isn't
one
of
their
paid
clients.
It's
impossible
to
stick
to
any
kind
of
plan
in
this
chaotic
nightmare
of
a
gym.
Any
equipment
could
be
unavailable
-
and
it's
a
question
of
constantly
negotiating
with
other
people
to
get
your
hands
on
the
right
weights.
If
you
want
to
know
how
terrible
management
can
ruin
a
gym
that's
got
plenty
of
decent
equipment
-
visit
Fitness
Hut
Amoreiras.
But
if
you
want
a
reliable
workout
in
a
professionally-managed
gym
where
there
is
any
semblance
of
customer
service,
go
somewhere
else.
I've
cancelled
-
and
I
couldn't
be
happier
in
my
new
gym.

ORIGINAL
REVIEW
A
decent
gym
-
ruined
by
hundreds
of
children
and
weak
management.
On
first
inspection,
Fitness
Hut
Amoreiras
has
some
decent
equipment
for
someone
who
is
into
powerlifting.
However,
at
peak
times
this
gym
becomes
more
overcrowded
than
any
gym
that
I
have
ever
visited
-
anywhere
on
earth.
Countless
teenage
children
use
this
gym
like
a
youth
club
-
they
gather
in
large
numbers,
take
gym
selfies,
hog
the
equipment
and
frequently
fail
to
return
anything
to
the
right
place.
Gym
staff
do
very
little
to
police
these
children.
(I
recently
joined
‘Lift’
gym
down
in
Lagos
and
I’m
impressed
by
how
the
staff
there
actively
make
sure
that
weights
are
returned
to
the
right
place.)
Some
of
the
equipment
is
old
-
a
cable
recently
snapped
when
I
was
doing
rows
and
I
fell
over
backwards.
Recent
renovations
have
been
VERY
poorly
managed.
We’re
down
to
one
sink
and
ZERO
showers.
Today
I
walked
in
and
a
large
man
was
naked
and
washing
his
bum
in
the
only
sink
-
the
SAME
sink
we
all
have
to
wash
our
hands
with.
I’m
done.
I’m
finished
at
this
poorly-managed,
chaotic
gym.
I
cannot
recommend
this
gym
until
the
staff
start
to
more
actively
manage
this
gym
and/or
put
caps
on
how
many
members
can
join
at
once.
