In a high point, in this view point at the north top of the park, we can have a good view over the main roundabout of Lisbon "Marquês de Pombal" where his statue is located. Further down to the south, there is another famous part of Lisbon, "Avenida da liberdade," that conducts us to the city centre. Far at the end of this view we can also see the river "Tejo". Parque Eduardo VI itself is one of the largest parks inside the city centre, and it was built on the first half of the XX century. Every year receives the "Feira do livro" on both wide sidewalks on the side of the park. Recently, an enormous national flag was placed at the top of the park in the middle of the 2 obelisks from the viewpoint. On the north of the park, you can also find another green space, the "Jardim da Amália" in honour to the known fadista "Amália Rodrigues".

Fantastic spot to wait for a nice sunset. Open air with plenty of benches and quiet corners. Viewpoints around Lisbon can be really small and pack of tourists but this one in Eduardo VII park is just perfect. After or before sunset you can walk around the park and easily move using Lisbon's Metro.

Very beautiful place at day and at night. Clean, huge, free to walk and enjoy the weather. Near a lot of luxury hotels but no good restaurants. From here 25 min by walk to the center pass to the most famous street with expensive shops.

The deck gives one the fresh feeling of a cool garden walk in the afternoon or a warm garden walk in the afternoon depending on which part of the deck one is at. The park also has some sea birds, turtles and peackock in the pond together pigeons and all. The Park is also big enough to go for an evening walk, relax, breath good oxygen, have a feel of nature. It is easily accessible by person with special needs.

Great views over Lisbon, lovely kiosk bars/coffee places throughout. Also, the linen sold here is fab. Well worth a visit, my favourite park as we stayed nearby.

What to say about the Observation Deck at the Parque Eduardo VII? This is one of my favorite overlook points in all of Lisbon, as you can catch views of the city from the business district; the lush green areas of the park, as well as the maze; several landmarks; and the Tegus River itself. At the same time, if you turn around, you can take in the monument related to the 25th of April revolution and the gigantic Portuguese flag. I highly recommend it!

It wasn’t crowded at sunset. Beautiful park overlooking the long stretch of the main avenue in Lisbon. Breathtaking and you can spend some time to walk around the garden - slight slope downhill (or uphill depends on which direction you were going). Public park.

Great park right in the middle of the city overlooking the river in front. When we visited there was a book fare ongoing and the place was more happening than usual. During sunset the sky shows great colours, however, I would not recommend it at all for viewing sunsets as sun sets in the opposite direction. It can be a good sunrise place though.

It’s an observation sexy that gives you a beautiful view over the city keep in mind that this is a public space and since google was asking if I recommended buying tickets in advance so I thought I should say that there is no need to spend money

Big space to enjoy the sunset with a great view of the landscape, you’ll be able to see the Tejo river on the background. the garden lawn was very poorly maintained, with lots of weeds and bushes, but still beautiful when looked not too closely.

Not much to do in the park itself, but its a great vantage point to unwind and relax after a long day! Also some parts are being renovated so the viewpoint itself might not be accessible.

A beautifully situated park in the city center on a hill with a perfect view of the capital. You are in the city center but away from the busy streets. Peace and quiet and only greenery for a midnight walk.

Accessible viewpoint close to the Marquis de Pombal Metro station and many buses. Has a great view towards the river with beautifully maintained gardens and plenty of park benches

  • 5/5 Lee B. 2 years ago on Google
Stunning green space overlooking Lisbon. Worth the fairly steep gradual walk up to the top to be rewarded with fabulous views. Sightseeing tour buses do stop at the top too by the deck/fountain. There are a few cafes dotted around the park too for a quick snack/drink. I didn’t see any toilet facilities in the park but presume the cafes may do, but you may have to be a customer to use their facilities. Perfect spot for a quick escape of the hustle & bustle with many people walking/jogging or just watching the walk go by. There is a renowned book fair held here and at Christmas it transforms into a Winter Wonderland festival, so look out for those. As you’re looking down the park from the top, the right hand side did have some repairs to the footpath going on when I was there (Nov 2021).

a nice and big city park where you can not only sit and enjoy the hustle and bustle of the city, but you can also walk your four-legged pets or have a picnic with your friends...the park is especially nice when the sun is shining and you can see all the way to the coast

A really unique point of view over the entire city along Parque Eduardo VII and towards the Marques de Pombal monument. In order to get there just take the subway to the 'Parque' station and from there it is a 5-minute walk.

19th October 2022 Uphill is the viewing Platform, you cannot skip it, no matter how tired you are. This view is super super magnificent, underneath hedges, front is River Tejo, on your right are 5* Hotels. It was raining heavily, but the visit was worth.

The park is a little boring but provides a good miradouro over the city centre and the river. If you are here, you must absolutely visit the Estufa Fria, that is located within the park. Around Christmas time the park is transformed into winter wonderland.

  • 4/5 Rei931 1 year ago on Google
The view was really nice. I think at sunset you would get even a nicer view. There’s a lot of walking to be done to reach the view point. A minus would be that the bushes weren’t trimmed and they looked a little bit messy.

This park and its whole area is one of the best in Europe. I personally think that the Lisbon City municipality is making a great job there. The park was very clean and enjoyable with numerous benches and accessible green spaces. A must do for Lisbon. Get yourself a pastel and coffee and enjoy your time there.

Terreiro do Paço (Ribeira das Naus) These yes. They are k places with a magnificent view and totally unobscured.
