We booked a pet friendly hotel that after reservation added a restrictive rules for pets: - we couldn’t leave our pet alone at home even for a minute. - we’ve been threatened with a fine if they find even one pet hair on the furniture despite 25/€ per day for additional cleaning - medical treatments beyond the legal vaccination etc We wasn’t agree with this rules and should have a legal choice to do that, but hotel declined our right to choose and tried to steal our money, so Booking forced them to reimburse. Be careful, always better to prevent abuse then spend a precious time of traveling for protecting your rights P.s. My review attachment testifies requests that strongly exceed Portoghese legal requirements. I would recommend to the hotel to learn better a Portuguese law and Consumer Protection Law. And please, respect a Privacy Policy and don’t mention clients name and any other private details without their consent.

Be careful, we had problems with the dog, the same could happen with other policies not known at the time of booking, for example for babies or children: the hotel may deny you a refund and not comply with the law. After booking, the hotel showed us a very restrictive and unusual pet policies for an apartment: large penalties, medical treatments, impossibility to leave the dog in the house even for a few minutes and more conditions as age etc. Since these conditions did not exist at time of booking, we should have been able to cancel with full refund but irresponsibly the hotel has always refused despite numerous requests from booking.com and the laws in our favor. Only the forced intervention of Booking allowed us to receive a refund. p.s. the hotel claims that I had to check the rules on its private website: this is clearly against the rules of booking.com and law, the rules must be present in the advertisement that the customer accepts, not in an external place or internet site! The hotel claims that since the rate was non-refundable, a refund was not due and booking.com reimbursed me with its funds: false, the law is clear, a refund is due with any kind of rate if the hotel shows unknown conditions at the time of booking, the non-refundable rate does not mean that consumer rights cannot be respected! However, that was the only rate available 30 minutes before arrival! Regarding booking.com I don't think it randomly refunds 235 euro: I was right, all the operators told me I was right! It is incredible how this hotel continues on this immoral and incorrect way, but I'm not surprised because its page on Google and other platforms is also immoral and incorrect: it is not a 4 star hotel, it has no reception, it does not offer daily cleaning and it does not it has nothing of a 4 star hotel and yet, without hesitation it classifies itself as a 4 star hotel!

My friend and I stayed four nights and really enjoyed our stay, we both felt that the photos don’t do it justice, it looked even nicer from the inside. Our room was on the third floor, very spacious, clean and quiet. We didn’t cook anything but there is a big fridge, dishwasher and all utensils, pans etc you need. Staff was super friendly and helpful! We checked in late and they made sure we knew check in details where to find the key to get in. Would stay again and recommend it!

A great place to stay near the center of Lisbon. For me it was walkable to get to the main areas of Lisbon but some people may struggle with the hills. However the metro is close by and very easy and quick to use. The staff were friendly and the rooms were large and clean with a kitchen, fridge and oven/microwave. The bathroom was lovely and so was the shower. The bathroom and living area were apart for great privacy. There are shops nearby and cafes but I recommend going to the center for more choice and better atmosphere. They ran out of toothpaste and did not automatically supply it in the bathroom. You have to ask for it. When I did they didn’t have any. For a not so cheap hotel this was not good. Also I don’t know whose idea it is playing loud bass music in the cafe near the lobby but this is not good if you wake up a little late after a night out. The music starts around 9am and could be heard in my room. Please change it to light cafe music. It’s not too far from the airport and my Uber cost €7 to get there.

Really liked that place. Stayed here for tree nights it was perfect decision. The design of the hotel is super nice and cozy. In our room we had great view also. Personnel was super nice and made sure we understood everything how to check in. The location of the place is comfortable, close to the city center. Totally recommend ✨

I love this place! Spacious and it had all the amenities. The decor was great. Everything looked to be in tip top condition. And it seems like we are located next to everything we wanted to go out and see. The staff was beyond nice. I would highly recommend this place over any hotel. It was almost like being home! We were very happy to be here! =)

Please note they don’t t have a front desk at night. Our room’s air conditioning did not work during our stay in August heat. The tablet system they have can’t connect to their system. When calling their “emergency line “ at a charge we were told to walk around in the unit and retry. We chatted with another couple that stayed at the hotel and they too struggled to get their air conditioning to work.

Another way to evaluate an hotel is how well it reacts when things go very wrong indeed. We were planning to stay for a family trip with our twins for 4 days from the 2nd of May 2023. In December 2022, we booked a flexible rate (more expensive) with a 5 day before arrival cancellation policy. Unfortunately, a French ATC strike announced 4 days before our venue forced us to cancel our trip to Lisbon. We requested to the hotel manager to derogate to their policy but she refused. It was not even possible to get a voucher to stay on others dates. They charged us for the 4 days as defined by their policy. Even worst, the hotel re-rent the room and got another payment for the same room. I can understand their contract policy but making no effort to help their customers when there are not responsible for the cancellation, not proposing a fair solution and re-renting the room is not a nice way to consider customers. Be careful before going to this place. As written at the beginning, a good way to evaluate an hotel is how well it reacts when things go very wrong. My advice : find another place to stay in Lisbon P.S. : Travel insurance never covers strikes neither insurance with Amex, Credit card, etc. Please note that many hotels propose flexible rate with a cancellation notice of less than a day. Partial payment could have been proposed as the hotel has re-rented the room.

Very nice modern and clean hotel with nice staff! Large and spacious room, with coffee machine and complimentary coffee pods and water. Be aware of the €100 booking deposit that is only clear in the T’s & C’s when booking. This will be returned at the end of your stay (if nothing is broken). Not a dislike, however, whilst public transport is abundant, it can be a struggle to get direct transport to many locations. Often multiple forms of transport are required, or large walks are involved, which is often uphill (due to the nature of Lisbon).

The Good: The place feels very clean. The AC is awesome. The apartment is quite cute and comfortable. The staff is really kind, I got a really early check-in (around noon) for 25€, the shower is great (minus some water issues mentioned below) and has good water pressure, and the bed is very comfortable. I slept really well in the room. The light isolation in the room is great and it’s overall nice if you want to feel like you’re in an apartment while you’re visiting. The Bad: I think their charging 15€ for an extra set of towels is a bit silly. When people are spending 1,000€+ to stay a few days, it shouldn’t feel like we have to ration our single towel. Things happen and having a single extra towel can still be environmentally friendly. Also, twice I have had to run the shower for 10+ minutes just to get warm (not hot) water to come out. That has to be less environmentally friendly than each guest getting a single extra towel. There is no TV in the bedroom and the TV in the living room is very small and old. You can only pair with it if you have a Samsung/Android device so no streaming possible without it. I also think the neighborhood is rather meh. Kind of dirty and not super appealing. Also lots of emails pre-arrival that are kind of annoying. In short: The room, bed, and customer service is great, but the neighborhood and upcharging for every little “extra” is annoying. I think it’s overall a good option, but probably would look for somewhere else if I came back to Lisbon in the future. This is my 2nd time to Lisbon and I’d probably try to stay in the hotel I stayed in the first time I visited, if I could do it again.

Absolutely stunning. My husband and I stayed there for 6 nights and we loved it. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The suite was nothing short of amazing! The pictures really don’t do the place justice. It’s better than what I expected. The suite was cozy and spacious, fully equipped with all the appliances one might need. Super modern and sleek design. I highly recommend it. It does fall on the pricier side, but great value for money. I would definitely stay there again when I go back to Lisbon!

Absolutely loved this hotel! Nice modern room with a beautiful kitchenette and top of the line appliances. The bed was comfortable. I would totally buy an apartment that looked like our room. It was a great size for 3 adult women. And the staff was extremely friendly and helpful! The restaurant next door - 22 Lounge by Sim Chef is amazing as well! Perfect spot to have breakfast.

Fully modern, but on a typical twisted lane on a hillside in this crazy and wonderful capital. Super-nice staff make you welcome - had a great stay there.

A nice hotel and clean. I stayed just one night, but could have extended my stay in this location. Very close to old Town Lisbon and other touristic places.

We arrived at the apartment late on the day of check-in with a small dog because the place boasts that it accepts dogs. The next morning at the reception, we were told that the dog cannot stay alone in the room, which contradicts the purpose of accepting dogs into the complex, in addition, we could not get a refund for the accommodation and had to stay and sleep there and carry our dog everywhere

We’ve just spent 3 nights in the hotel. The room / apartment was beautiful, large, extremely clean, very modern and well equipped with a kitchen. The view was lovely too. Location is really convenient, 10 mins walking distance from the city center. Last but not least, the staff was helpful and very welcoming. I highly recommend On J Lazaro boutique hôtel ! Thank you !

Great hotel. Spacious suites with a very well-appointed kitchen. Staff was very friendly and breakfast was great (btw, maybe you are like us and think that every morning you are going to get up and go find a new great breakfast place...but if you're also planning to be out late every night I just recommend getting the hotel breakfast because opulent breakfasts are more of an American thing). The location is really nice, close to a lot of stuff you want to do, but on a quiet street with a market across the way for all your little grocery needs. I would definitely stay here again.

This place was not good. There were several negative issues I had while staying here, mostly the noise and lack of amenities. But more than anything, it's the management. The managing staff were incredibly rude and take personal any criticism on booking sites of the hotel. They have an obsession over ratings and will even call you after your stay to try to convince you to change your rating if it is not in their favor. I'm sure a lot of people probably have good experiences at this hotel, but we didn't, and I left very constructive criticism for them. What I got in return was a response that insinuated that I was uneducated about Lisbon and the way things work here (I've lived here for more than 2 years now). Anyway, I just wanted to call out the management who are, in my opinion, false and overly obsessed with ratings.

A fabulous Aparthotel in the heart of Lisboa, combined with clean modern rooms and a wonderful staff!

We love this place! Very clean and modern. Plus we loved the location, within walking distance to several places (even the train station). We wish there was more then one person to get breakfast for all the guest. Their were times we couldn’t eat because of the wait and we had to meet local friends. It would be great if the bar was open and if you could order food throughout the day/dinner. We went in the beginning of August. We still have 5 stars because the place was so nice and convenient and we just ate other places. I would highly recommend this location and would only stay here again when visiting Portugal!

Amazing Place! Such beautiful rooms, professional service! So glad about our choice to come here. Area is great, not so busy and noisy than elsewhere and still walkable distance to the main sights.

Really nice accommodation, had an amazing view from the window. It was also really clean with a friendly staff. I also like that the room was very digitized. Also, it is well located with easy reach to a lot of tourist attractions within walking distance.

Quaint little hotel with very helpful staff. Rooms are a bit small, but things are laid out effectively/efficiently so it works. Very close to lots of attractions, restaurants and bars. Would go back.

This hotel is highly recommended and my family would love to go back. It's at it's best in 3 areas: -Room is very clean, comfy and trendy. Air conditioner in great condition (we went in August!). Our room can view the local neighborhood closely, really good for tourist. -Location is perfect. It's walkable to major tourist areas like Martim Moniz (where Metro and Tram28/12 stations are), Rossio etc. There is also a Minipreco supermarket close by. Taking a Uber/taxi back is recommended because of the small uphill along the road, but since it's very close to the major area, it only cost few dollars each trip. -Staff is the major reason why this hotel is 5 stars. They are all friendly and professional. I had a small incident in the city and they tried their best to help. This is extremely important for tourist like us. I can assure you, a hotel with good management team means best service. Our family had a great time in Lisbon and this hotel is sure one of the reason!

We were accommodated in a very clean, cosy and stylish apartment with magnificent view. The staff were welcoming and friendly far beyond their formal duties. As we were on our honeymoon, when entering our room, we were very pleasantly surprised to find on the table a compliment personally prepared for us. Such a nice gesture! When leaving, we were welcomed to leave our luggage for some time in the lobby although we had already spared the room. We could use washing machine and tumble dryer in specially designated premises, for free. In short: we would reccomend the place even to the ones with most sophisticated preferences!

Very nice and cozy. The staff is very friendly. Breakfast is delivered at the door, and although the quality is great, it is a bit shame that it is the same every morning. But I think we will come back for sure.

A perfect experience. The staff went out of their way to make the stay as comfortable as possible. They were specially friendly and also very reactive and proactive. The rooms were very clean, spacious and modern. A place to feel home, i will definitely come back to when visiting Lisbon.

We've stayed in a few places in Lisbon and this was by far the best. Amazing modern rooms, all immaculate with kitchenette and bathroom. Super comfortable beds and their own oils and soaps were provided which were great. Lovely staff and the area was great - close to centre and a very laid back vibe. We will definitely come back to Lisbon but only stay here.
