Next, the staff are trilingual - speaking Portuguese, English, and I believe Spanish (if needed). I can highly recommend the services of IAD. I had a complex orthodontic issue during my master studies in Lisbon and IAD was recommended to me by a friend. Dr. Borges took all the time needed to treat me from the first appointment on. He was available for questions and support during the whole therapy and even beyond it.The therapy was coordinated by Dr. Borges but also included a physiotherapist. This is a GREAT dental team! I had been having an increasingly painful toothache that radiated pain throughout my right jaw. I was thinking root canal or worse, hoping to get home before I got the work done but I just could not wait, I could not sleep due to the pain being so bad. So I visited International Advanced Dentistry and they worked to find a time for me to get the dental work done. Dr. Joao and his team were professional and friendly. They have technology for photographing teeth conditions that I have not seen in my Washington DC dentist office yet. They used the tech to find out that it was not a serious problem, just a result of recent bruxism/teeth grinding at night. Dr. Joao polished my molar tooth (a bit more involved than it sounds) and took a few more tests and I was out the door with a couple prescriptions to reduce the swelling after just 45 minutes of work. 24 hours later the pain is almost all gone and there is just a little tenderness in the tooth/gum. I highly recommend IAD! They are great at their jobs and they are caring people too.
