My
girlfriend
and
I
recently
took
part
in
the
Private
tours
for
the
Colosseum,
Forum
and
the
Vatican.
Initially
I
was
hesitant
to
take
part
in
a
private
tour
as
i
thought
it
was
expensive
at
first
but
when
we
looked
at
the
value
we
received
for
the
price
it
was
worth
every
cent
and
more.
It
felt
like
a
truly
VIP
experience
in
that
every
facet
of
the
tour
was
at
our
pace
and
leisure.
This
extends
to
other
areas
we
hadn't
even
foreseen
such
as
queuing!
I've
heard
tale
of
how
Rome
is
notorious
for
queues.
I
wouldn't
know,
we
walked
up
the
velvet
rope
and
were
granted
entry
upon
arrival
at
every
location,
which
meant
we
had
more
time
to
enjoy
the
sites
themselves.
We
were
there
in
April
so
the
temperature
was
very
pleasant
but
i
can
imagine
this
being
a
lifesaver
during
the
sweaty
summer
months.
To
the
tour
itself,
we
were
greeted
by
Andrea
who
became
our
best
pal
in
Rome
for
two
days,
he
was
thorough,
thoughtful,
entertaining,
respectful
and
had
a
tremendous
knowledge
of
Rome
which
extended
form
Ancient
History
to
secret
Roman
local
only
spots
for
lunch
and
dinner.
We
had
possibly
one
of
our
best
meals
ever
in
a
Japanese
restaurant
thanks
to
Andrea's
recommendation.
Also
worth
noting
we
got
access
to
the
floor
of
the
Colosseum
of
which
we
were
the
only
tourist
there
(perk
of
going
with
the
Rogue
Historians
we
were
told).
I
would
recommend
to
anyone
visiting
Rome,
whether
it's
your
first
time
or
you're
a
frequent
visitor,
Get
in
touch
with
the
Rogue
Historians
and
plan
with
them
what
you'd
like
to
see.
We
heard
of
them
form
a
friend
who
had
taken
part
in
the
Twilight
tour
and
said
it
was
the
highlight
of
their
trip.
I'll
be
sure
to
do
that
tour
next
time
we
visit
Rome.
Ciao
for
now
