Loved the free walking tour with Antonio!! He was a great guide, and we really enjoyed the tour with him. Very warm, kind, and informative. We learned a lot of history and saw so much of Lisbon on the 2-3 hour tour. He was also very helpful with other suggestions for travel in Lisbon and all of Portugal. Would highly recommend. I’ve done a number of tours with Sandemans & I’ve always had such a great experience that I ALWAYS look on their website first to see if they offer a walking tour for the city I’m in before o look at any other walking tour company! Totally free; but please tip your guide!

Once again, Sandemans tour guides do not disappoint, getting a tour from a non Local is always a point of apprehension but as our tour guide Patrick said, he fell in love with Lisbon and its his job to make us fall in love with it as well, he did not disappoint. Historic facts, scenic sights, and a personalized map of recommendations. What more could you ask for? 10/10 would recommend

we had a tour with Antonio. He is very charming and knowledgeable. The only regret is we didn't take the tour on our first day in Lisbon. Other than that, it was perfect. Highly recommend

Rita Jardim is an incredibly informative and interactive guide. Handling a group of 30 she kept us all entertained and engaged. Tailoring the tour to the group and full of energy and enthusiasm about Lisbon. You can tell she has passion for her city! Watch out for the pop quiz at the end and make sure to take part for a prize. She also provides so many tips and recommendations on things to do in the area including most importantly the places to eat! Highly recommend! 😉

Did 2 Sandemans tour in Lisbon and both were great. Thank you to 1. Jimmy - City tour 2. Antonio - Alfama tour Recommmended to fellow tourists like myself who is new to Portugal and looking for insights into the city and people eg Antonio showed us many local only tips and short cuts.

Amazing! We did 2 in one day and both were brilliant. One with Nuno (Lisbon) in the morning and the second one of Belem with Antonio. We also did the Alfama neighbourhood with Jaime and it was extremely interesting and informative. Thank you. 🎉👌

Wonderful story teller, very engaging in her detailed explanations...very passionate and extremely knowledgeable about everything to do with the tour and the area.A wealth of information and a great presentation made for 2 fantastic tours. Very highly recommended !

Bruno was a great tour guide with a wealth of information about the history of Lisbon and Portugal. His list of recommendations at the end of the tour helped round out our choices for where to go eat & drink on our last few days in the city! He was also great with my dog who accompanied us on the tour!

Today we got to visit and explore the area of Belem with Rita. She is a not only a very funny and energetic tour guide but also knows her history very well. We learned how Portugal played a very important role in the globalization. A tour with her is very insightful.

Antonio is an excellent tour guide. I took the Lisbon City center tour and the alfama tour on the same day, so I got an opportunity to spend 5 hours with him. He is funny, helpful and very informative. I highly recommend him and I highly recommend taking Sandemans free walking tour. I also took the Belem tour with Bruno. He is an amazing guide too. Though I'm the only one who never tried the pastel de nata from the famous store in Lisbon, he was kind enough to take me there and made the group wait for 2 minutes till I buy one for myself.

Belem Tour: Our guide, Jaime, was exemplary with a comprehensive knowledge of Portuguese and maritime history. Excellent tour for gaining a more detailed understanding of Portuguese history and the Age of Discovery. Unmissable tour if you’re looking to hear an interesting and insightful overview of the rise and fall of the Portuguese empire. Lisbon Tour: Very good tour for quickly getting an insight into Lisbon and it’s history - would recommend for first time visitors as a good introduction. Our guide, Bruno, as a born and raised Lisbon resident was excellent overall, very friendly, fantastic local knowledge and insight.

Antonio Miguel’s walking tour of Lisbon was the best way to learn the history of the City. He gives fantastic recommendations of various places to go for food, historical trips and various activities. He also offers recommendations for Porto or the Algarve and which tourist traps to avoid. Amazing tour, this should be the first thing you do when arriving in the city.

Loved our tour with Jaime! A great intro to Lisbon and Portugal history. Also very conscientious in finding us shady spots to stand in and guiding the tour so that we went downhill mostly instead of up! He also gave us food and viewpoint recs that have proven to be spot on.

The best! We had the pleasure to have Rita as our guide. Super passionate, funny and (most importantly) extremely informed. Like she says “3000 years if history in a few hours”, and she left us wanting more! At the end of the tour she shared with us a google map with food and drink recommendations, so so so helpful!

Theresa our guide was fantastic! She was really knowledgeable about the history of Lisbon and conveyed her knowledge and passion so enthusiastically. She was fun, captivating and made history relatable even for my 11 and 7 yr old. I was also with my 77yr old m.who is a retired history teacher and she found it really interesting. We covered a lot of Lisbon and it was a great introduction.

We had a free guided tour arround Lisbon with Jaime. It was great! It lasted 2 hours and a half, we didn't walk too much, but we learnt plenty of things. Jaime was an amazing guide, very passionate about his city and his country. He provided very interesting facts about the city and the history of Portugal along with a touch of humour. He also provided numerous locations such as restaurants, bars, places to see. We were 5 french tourists in a group of about 20 people, and we were very shocked by the fact that very few people gave a tip...

Jaime is a great guy, and the tour was fantastic. A lot of historical knowledge but told in an interesting way, with passion and sense of humor. Highly recommend. After the event we also received some restaurants and bars recommendation!

Rita the tour guide was wonderful. Her tour was very informative and interesting. She is a great story teller. After the tour she gave us a whole electronic map with things to do and restaurants recommendations. All you have to do is send her an email and you will get an email with all the dining recommendations and a map. Rita made sure that our whole experience in Lisbon was great in addition to the tour

Today we’ve joined the tour of Rita through Lisbon - and it was so much fun to listen to her history story telling and her personal suggestions and favorites of the city. I highly recommend to take the tour, and not like us on our last day of the short stay in Lisbon but right at the start, since you’ll hear a lot of the areas and restaurants which you should visit when in Lisbon. I would do the tour again on my next visit in this beautiful city - or just another one for a specific district, with Rita especially. Thanks a lot again!

Rita was our tour guide. Absolutely amazing ! She is fun, knows a lot fun facts and history about the city. We went through the top spots in Lisbon. She gives advices the whole time and at the end sent us a link to google maps with all restaurants divided by categories . Amazing !

I did two tours with Jaime: the first was in the city center of Lisbon (Baixa and surroundings) and the second in Belem. Jaime‘s deep historical knowledge and communication skills made both experiences extremely pleasant and easy to follow. The two historical focal points of the tours are, respectively, the Lisbon earthquake of 1755 (Baixa tour) and the age of discoveries (Belem tour). The tours are enriched with interesting anecdotes, a taste of the best Portuguese pastries of the world, and even “insider” suggestions for restaurants, bars or other places to visit. I would definitely recommend both tours, especially with Jaime as a guide.

I did the tour of Lisbon with Jaime. Jaime grew up in Lisbon and is well travelled. He took us to all the historic spots and had great stories to share. He was very engaging, creative and responsive to questions from the group. Overall we enjoyed walking Lisbon with him. At the end of the tour he gave a list of things to do, places to eat and his Lisbon favourites - this was super helpful.

My tour guide was Jamie in Lisbon. Jamie was extremely knowledgeable of Lisbon and Portugal in general and provided a very exciting and informative tour. Although a very hilly city, Jamie designed the tour in such a way that we were mostly downhill which made for easy walking and learning. He also followed up with an invaluable list of restaurant, beach and tourist spot locations that were extremely helpful. I would highly recommend!

Recommended!! Jaime was our tour guide and he was super. Really knowledgeable and engaging, he also had many suggestions for other places to visit and tips. I've been on many other Sandeman walking tours in different cities in Europe, the one here in Lisbon is just as good. You should go.

Teresa was very engaging and amazing. I was a little apprehensive about doing a walking tour for 3 hours but Teresa was so engaging that we didn’t even realize when the time was up. I just wanted to hear her speak more on the history and the beauty of Lisbon. She took us to sites and explained the history of those places. I would recommend Teresa and this walking tour before starting a vacation in Lisbon. She even gave us suggestions on places to visit and restaurants based on our request. Thanks Teresa and Sandeman Tours.
